Rin: Hey, dear readers! Here's chapter 6! 'Choices' and I'm sure this is going to be veeeeery interesting! Anywho, Aki's not exactly here because she's sleeping. She's suuuuper tired.

Phobos: Mm-hmm. And the Authoress has left my black rose in my gardens. *hugs Rin from behind*

Rin: *sighs* She's also revising the previous chapters. Her muse and her Yami (Crimson and Elsa/Kisara) did suggest a Beta-reader, but Aki-san refuses, for some reason. Anywho, R&R, please! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: Aki-san does not own W.I.T.C.H nor the songs mentioned; only the plot and OCs.

Phobos' P.O.V:

I turned around to see the rest of the Guardians of the Veil. Females in red and black. I glared at Rin; it seemed like she set me up. My rose set me up! Although, Rin stared back at me apologetically. She looked so guilty that I felt like I had to forgive her.

"Hands up!" a brunette exclaimed.

"You idiot," her... copy said, face-palming. "Does it look like we have guns?"

"Well, no, but... WHATEVER, DANG IT!"

"I apologize," I said, a ghost of a smile appearing on my lips. "but this lovely lady is my black rose." I wrapped my arms around Rin's shoulders. I sent daggers towards the other girls. "And nobody takes my black rose away from me."

The other girls looked at my rose, shocked.

"Rin? What's going on?" the blonde Guardian asked.

I stared at my rose, waiting for her answer.

"G-girls. I-I just..." She quivered. Her lips were trembling.

I glared at the others. "I order you to leave. If not," I raised my hand and channeled my power, ready to fry the other Guardians. They got into their fighting stances. "I will force you."

"No!" Rin cried out.

The onyx-haired girl clutched onto the sleeve of my robe, stopping me from channeling my power. I just stared at her.

"Please..." she whispered. She sounded desperate. For her friends.

I lowered my arm, but still kept my guard up.

"Rin, you've gotta make a choice! Phobos is the enemy!" the auburn-haired girl said.

"I know, Kiara, but..."

"Rin, you have until your birthday to make a choice. It's September 16th. You have until Christmas. If this is going to happen, then you were probably not supposed to be a Guardian." the blonde stated.

"Morgan!" Rin cried out, shocked.

"Morgan's right." the auburn-haired Guardian, Kiara, agreed. "We'll see you later. We don't want to risk hurting you."

The twins turned and punched the guards who held them and they flew away. The guards left, making sure they wouldn't come back.

That left only me and my rose.

"Hime?" I asked quietly. Somehow, I knew 'hime' meant princess in some language, but I wasn't sure which.

"Ph-Phobos? I must leave. I-I'll see you later." she said.

And with that, she left, following her fairy friends.

I let her go, but I grew bitter. Rin was mine. Mine and mine alone. I started to figure out a plan to keep her with me, but could figure out nothing. With a huff, I left to my chambers, ordered to be not disturbed.

Rin's P.O.V:
[later]

As I laid there on my bed, listening to 'Perfect' by Simple Plan, I thought of something. What if I became a Guardian, even if it's only temporarily, because I could somehow save Phobos, without actually fighting him? Apparently, it seemed that out of the previous Guardians and my friends, I was the only one in which Phobos had interest in. I thought of it, but I knew my friends would find it pathetic.

I had to decide, and I didn't have much time. Suddenly, something popped in my head. I had completely forgotten.

I would be in Japan for the Christmas holidays.

I wouldn't have time to talk to the girls, as I would be at the big Miyuzaki banquet, that they put on every year, for a whole week! All in all, I had to decide before my birthday, which is on Christmas Eve. And I honestly don't know what to chose.

"Uggh!" I groaned. "Why does my head hurt?!"

"Because you love him, but you don't want to admit it." a voice said.

"Oh, shut up." I growled out loud. Ever since we became Guardians, a voice started talking to me and I've been seeing things; from fairy-like dragons to nine-tailed foxes to weird-looking humming birds.

It was killing me! I didn't know what to do.

Finally, after a whole album of Coldplay, I decided to go visit the source of the Guardians thing; the people who've told my friends and me about the whole thing.

I got up, got my leather trench coat, my studded heeled and fringed ankle boots and my netted black finger-less gloves on and headed out the door.

I knew Hay Lin's family owned a Chinese restaurant. In fact, I saw her there a few times when my family would eat there. And I also knew that Hay Lin was a Guardian. Air was her element, if I remembered correctly.

I took my skateboard and rode to the Silver Dragon restaurant. Soon, I was at the door and I went in and sat at the bar. (I don't know if it actually has a bar, but whatevs. It suits the story...)

"Hello! What may I get you-ou-ou-ou..." it was Hay Lin. She trailed off once she saw me. It might've been the thick black eyeliner that surrounded my eyes, but I doubted it.

"You could get me a cup of info." I stated. "Now, I want you and your little fairy-tale friends to get rid of this Guardian shmut."

"Eh-heh-heh... But, isn't it a, you know," she gulped. "good thing? Like, powers and all! You can fly!"

"Not convinced." I growled. "Look, my friends are turning on me just because Phobos took a liking to me, and-and-uuuggh!"

The Chinese Asian blinked owlishly at me. "Ph-Phobos has taken a liking to you?!"

"Listen," I snapped, ignoring her. "I want to get rid of these powers."

"I-I don't know how!" Hay Lin cried.

"Than get me someone who's more resourceful!" I demanded.

"Uh, uh, ok!" and the girl ran off.

A few minutes later, she came back with an elderly Asian lady.

"Here, Grandma. This is the temporary Keeper of the Heart."

"Well, hello. I'm Yan Lin. My grand-daughter has told me that you requested something." Yan Lin said.

"Yes, to get rid of my powers!" I responded.

The older lady shook her head. "I'm sorry, but you are chosen to protect the real, current Guardians and to save the world."

"So, you're saying we have to save their sorry butts?!" I growled, pointing at the elderly's grand-daughter. "Why don't you save your own sorry lives?! I'm not going to fight anybody!" I stated. I got up and left. I didn't buy anything, so I didn't need to pay for anything.

I was walking back to my house until I heard a familiar tune. I turned to the gymnasium of the school and saw a band practicing a song. My favourite song. But there was no singer. After they were done, I applauded, making my presence known.

"Cool! What's this band called?" I asked.

"We're the Striped Shadows." the main guitarist said. He was a guy, my age, had shaggy black hair, snake-bite piercings, electric blue eyes and wore a My Chemical Romance shirt and dark jeans. "We're just singing songs made by other people, at the moment."

"Yeah, we hope to write our own songs, soon." I turned to see an eccentric-looking brown-eyed blonde in pigtails with pink, powder blue and purple streaks. She wore gear-punk clothes and waved the drumsticks in the air.

"But we don't have a singer." another voice said. A male with hazel eyes and messy dirty-blond hair played a few chords on the keyboard. He had a black fedora-like hat, a green T-Shirt under a sleeveless denim jacket, huge ripped jeans and Converse shoes.

I grinned. "Well, my friends, I may be of service."

"Hmm?" the band asked.

"The song you were playing. I know it. In fact, it's my favourite song. 'Shadow Games', right? I also play the guitar."

"Hmm, we could use a singer." the guitarist said.

"And another guitarist." the drummer stated.

"Than, I'm in?"

"What's your name?" the keyboard player asked.

"Rin. Rin Miyuzaki." I replied.

"Well, Rin, I'm Jack Hall. That's Kyle Brass and there's my twin sister, Selen. Welcome to the band!" the guitarist said, strumming a chord of his bass guitar.

I grinned. "Awesome!"

Suddenly, I felt the Heart pulsating against my chest, under my coat. "Um, I gotta' go, for now. When should we meet up and where?"

"Well, we can't take the gym again. This Friday, after school. Meet up at... could we crash at your place?" Selen asked.

"It shouldn't be a problem. So, my place, on Friday after school."

"Ditto." Kyle replied.

"Ok, then, see ya!" I waved and left.

Once I got out of the gym, I took the glowing necklace into my hands.

'What does it want now?' I frowned. I had no time for this; my day just got better and I'm not gonna let this stupid thing ruin it.

The light engulfed me and I was transported to some weird place, but it wasn't Meridian. No, in fact, it was what people would describe Heaven; white clouds of buildings, weird creatures floating around. Angels, perhaps.

"Hello, Rin." a voice greeted behind me.

I stood up and found what seems like a floating monk.

"I am the Oracle; the one who has sent you and your friends to become the temporary Guardians. And this, is Kandrakar."

I frowned. "Bad thing to say, especially when I'm about to blow because of that subject."

"I know you are angry, but I have realized that fighting is not the answer to make Phobos step down from the throne. Recently, we have found a prophecy, in which we think includes you."

"Me?" I asked, wondering what the heck this dude was talking about.

"'Five Guardians are in peril,
The old nemesis has returned with more power to spill,
Five new girls shall end the gore,
But the new leader must chose between love and war.'"

"What?"

"That's the prophecy." the Oracle said. "The prophecy says you must choose between love and war, but prophecies usually have double-meanings."

"You're telling me what?"

"You shall soon discover. Go, tell tell your friends. Good-bye, Rin."

Before I could ask anymore questions, Kandrakar disappeared and I re-appeared in my room at my house.

'Time for a conference meeting.' I thought as I took my new Samsung phone and sent a text to the other girls.

Hope they'll reconsider making me choose...
