And i'm back again.

Much thanks for all the reviews, faves, follows and prompts it keeps me motivated to write so keep em coming.

Today's prompt is from my wonderful Twitter friend Nicole and it's a new for me because it's all fluff and I've tended to be a angst girl so it was a nice change of pace.

As always thanks to my wonderful beta Ivy.

Not Mine.

Prompt – Family time. Set season 3b, somewhere between Henry getting his memories back and Marian's return. I was asked to write about some of that family time Regina spoke to Henry about in 4x13. ``I don't know if ill ever be as happy again as I was when it was just you, me, Robin and Roland.''

``Gina, watch me.'' The sweet voice rung out out through the deserted forest and Regina smiled brightly in the direction of the adorable, curly haired boy. Roland waited until he saw her full attention was on him before bending at the knees, a look of concentration on his face and jumping off the side of the river bank into his father's waiting arms. Water splashed up around him and the mother in Regina felt her heart lurch in panic for a few seconds as he disappeared under the water surface before Robin's strong arms pulled the giggling tot back up. Regina clapped encouragingly at the boy and his smile brightened before he fought free from his father's arms and swam expertly a few feet away to join Henry.

Regina watched the two boys laughing and splashing for a few minutes then to Robin who was also laughing at the boys' antics. He was turned away from her and she took in his bare muscular back as drops of water glistened from the sun upon it and she felt a fluttering in her tummy at the sight, he was a pure work of art.

With a contented sigh from her perch on the side of the river bank she leant back and lifted her face towards the sun, closing her eyes against the glare and basking in the warmth she felt on her face. She lightly kicked her legs through the cool water as they dangled off the bank and felt a bliss she had not felt before settle over her. Her smile became brighter as the sounds of the boys' gleeful laughter coupled with Robin's deeper rumble.

Life was good, so good and although part of her feared it like it was far too good to be true she couldn't help but give herself over to the feeling of it. She never believed for a second she was capable of being this happy, when she had to leave Henry with no memory of her she honestly believed that her life was over, that she might as well curl up in a ball and sleep forever because she had finally lost the last ounce of light and hope in her life. Then she had met Robin both here and The Enchanted Forest and although nothing could take away the loss of Henry, he and Roland eased her pain slightly, made her feel that maybe she could still have a life worth living.

A year down the line and as she looked at her life she had a hard time believing that it was hers, part of her believed that after all she had done it must be some kind of sin for her to be this happy but she would take it. Not only was she back with Henry and he remembered her, their relationship was the best it had been in a long time, the closeness they had regained made her heart so full because it was something she didn't know if she would ever have again.

As for Robin she had no idea what she did to deserve the affections of such a wonderful man but she felt giddy just thinking of him. For the first time in longer than she could remember her life wasn't just about revenge and anger, she felt like just any other woman enjoying life with a man she was quickly falling in love head over heals and their two boys.

She was brought out of her thoughts when she felt the brush of a hand against her bare calf and she opened her eyes and smiled down at Robin from where he stood waist deep in the water below. He smirked back at her and spoke in a teasing voice.

``You know you could come and join us in the water m'lady.''

Regina smirked down at him as she felt sparks shoot up her leg from his touch upon it, god how she was amazed by how the smallest attention from this man could make her feel so alive.

``I could.'' She stated plainly. ``But i'm kind of enjoying the sun and relaxation.''

He chuckled lightly and moved his hand down her leg to lightly run his palm over the arch of her foot as his dancing eyes locked with hers. The amount of affection in his eyes made her heart soar and she did her best to make sure the same was shining back at him through her own. She believed the message had come through loud and clear when he smiled brightly at her and gave her foot an answering squeeze.

Henry's happy voice from a few paces away from them broke the silent connection and she looked to him, smiling with affection as she saw him with Roland clinging to his back.

``Mom, why come to a lake in a bathing suit if you have no intention of getting in the water?''

She chuckled lightly before answering her son in a light tone.

``A queen is always properly attired Henry.''

Henry rolled his eyes good naturedly and let out an amused chuckle.

``I'm not complaining.'' She heard Robin's low voice rumble and she blushed slightly as she saw his eyes rake over her before coming to rest on her eyes once more. She slightly shivered under his gaze and touch as his fingertip trailed slightly up to her ankle, he made her feel so beautiful.

``Yes Gina come in the water with us.'' She heard Roland's tiny excited voice ring out and she looked over to see him slightly jumping up and down on Henry's back.

``Make sure you hold him tightly Henry.'' She told her son, the mothering instinct in her took over for a moment before she even realised it and she looked at Robin in worry wondering if she had over stepped her mark in her mothering of his son.

``I got him mom don't worry.'' Henry answered her lightly as he jumped lightly up and down in the water making Roland giggle and shriek in glee. She smiled lovingly at the pair of them, it was such a beautiful sight to see and she looked at Robin to see him doing the same with a smile just as bright before turning to her again with a smile, his voice was gentle as he spoke.

``You know Regina you need not worry, Roland was swimming practically before her could walk, when you live in the forest the river is the main source of entertainment.''

She sighed lightly and threw him an apologetic look.

``I'm sorry.'' She told him sincerely. ``Guess that mother instinct in me is hard to curve, I didn't mean to interfere.''

`God', she thought to herself `Must try to stop being such a control freak.'

``Hey.'' He told her gently as he grabbed her hand to link their fingers together. He waited until she looked to his eyes before continuing. ``You never have to apologise for looking out for Roland, I love that you care for him, it's one of the things I adore most about you.''

Warmth filled her chest and she squeezed his hand before telling him softly.

``I do care about him... both of you.''

It was the closest she had come to telling him her feelings and she felt a twinge of anxiety shoot through her as she the thought about what his reaction would be, concerned it was too soon for such a declaration.

His reaction was to smile at her widely and move closer to her to stand between her legs and squeeze her hips.

``That's good.'' He told her as he gazed up at her with gentle eyes. ``Because we have no intention of going anywhere and that works a lot better if you're not opposed to that, and for the record we care about you too, both of you.'' He said his last words with a quick affectionate glance towards Henry and her heart swelled with the love she felt for this beautiful man.

She lifted her hand and ran it tenderly over his stubbled cheek and he smiled at her before turning his head to press a tender kiss to her palm. They stayed like that for a few moments wrapped up in each other as they listened to the sounds of their children's happy Cry's in the background.

They were brought out of their moment by Roland's shout.

``Ewwwww, Henry they are doing that thing you told them not to do again, making those kissy faces.''

Robin and Regina both laughed at the young boys words and disgruntled face before looking at Henry who was trying and failing to look serious and annoyed.

``I know Roland, grown-ups just don't listen, enough now you guys it's gross and we don't wanna see it.''

``I'm sorry Henry.'' Robin said as he glanced at the younger boy from over his shoulder. ``I promise I'll keep a respectable distance from your mother in your presence from here on out. Well after I do this that is.''

Regina had no time to process his words and she let out a loud shriek when without warning Robin tightened his grip on her hips and pulled her forward off the bank and into the cool water below. She gasped has her body attempted to adjust to the cool water. Her hands tightened on his shoulders and she found herself flush against his hard chest as they both stood together in the water with his hands still on her hips.

She glared up at him but it had no effect on him, it never had and he just arched his eyebrow and smirked down at her in reply.

Henry and Roland giggled and cheered happy to finally have her in the water and she couldn't keep the amusement out of her voice when she spoke to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

``You will pay for that I hope you know.''

``Mmmmm, ready and waiting for my punishment, M'lady.'' He whispered to her and leant down to drop a brief kiss on her lips.

They were brought out of their joint daydream as a wave of water hit them, wetting both their faces and hair and they looked at the culprit which was Henry, a joint `Hey!' leaving their lips. Roland giggled in amusement and Henry just smirked and shrugged at the two adults before stating plainly.

``We did warn you to lay off the kissy stuff didn't we?''

Robin groaned before looking back at Regina.

``I believe our children just declared war my love, what do you think?''

She saw where he was going with this and she smirked in his direction before turning to mock gasp at the two boys, her voice holding a fake surprise as she asked Robin.

``But who could be foolish enough to challenge the Queen and the famous Robin Hood?''

They both looked at their sons again with twin looks of mischief on their faces and the look made Henry grab Roland by the hand and slowly start to back up, a doubtful look on his face and his voice sounding slightly nervous though there was laughter in it.

``You wouldn't gang up on two helpless children would you?''

Robin snorted in reply before retorting teasingly.

``I hardly think you two lads are helpless besides here is a lesson for you two rouges, to not start something unless you're equipped to finish it.''

Henry's reply was to look at his mom with wide eyes but she just laughed and shrugged.

``He makes a good point Henry.'' She told him plainly.

``Well then.'' Robin said while turning back to the boys who were still backing up slightly though they were both letting off slightly nervous giggles. ``Seems we are both in agreement, so what do you say Regina shall we teach these boys not to mess wi-.''

His words trailed off into a grunt of surprise followed by splutters as he turned to Regina and was met by a giant splash of water hitting him directly in the face. He fell back into the water in surprise and Regina just smirked down at him with a smug look on her face.

``Oh yes.'' She told him innocently. ``I just remembered I had a score to settle with you first didn't I?''

Regina chuckled at the bewildered look on his face which only became louder as she heard Henry and Roland's gleeful laughter in the background.

``Yay Regina get him, get daddy.''

Robin mock gasped as he turned to his son and spoke in a pretend shocked voice.

``Oh I see how it is, betrayed by my own son for the affections of a beautiful woman, it's a tale as old as time. Seems I have no choice but to surrender as it's a three on one battle.''

``Oh I wouldn't say that.'' Regina answered him ``I'd say this has now become an every man for themselves battle.''

On her last word she scooped her hands in the water and sent a wave in the direction of Henry and Roland who were still standing together with their hands clasped together. The boys shouted out in surprise and Robin's deep rumbling chuckle joined her tinkling laughter.

``Oh it's on.'' Henry cried through his laughter and Roland shouted in agreement as they both charged forward towards the two adults.

For the next hour the forest was filled with the sounds of splashing water and loud laughter. Regina felt light and so very happy. They were like a real family spending their day together and it was all she had ever wanted in life.

Later they all sat on a big blanket wrapped in towels as they enjoyed a picnic lunch and easy chatter which came mostly from the two still hyperactive boys.

``So, Robin.'' Henry said casually as he placed his sandwich down for a moment. ``When are you gonna teach me to use a bow and arrow?''

Robin smirked slightly at the younger boy but was cut off by Regina before he could reply.

``Don't you think you should discuss this with your mother before you make plans to learn to use a deadly weapon?''

Henry groaned at his mother before speaking in a slightly whiney tone.

``Come on mom, you cannot deny me the chance to learn how to shoot a bow from Robin Hood. It's like a kid's biggest dream.''

Robin chuckled lightly as Henry fixed her with his best puppy dog eyes. She was saved from having to answer however by Roland asking innocently.

``Why? It's just daddy.''

Regina smiled at Roland's innocence. After all, to him it wasn't the great and noble Robin Hood the prince of thieves. It was just his father, no less of a hero to him but he had no idea of the legend that surrounded his father in this world, Regina really hoped he kept that innocence for as long as possible.

``So when do I start Merry man training camp?'' Henry asked Robin excitedly.

Regina groaned before asking her son with amusement.

``You do know there's nowhere in the forest to plug in your Xbox don't you?''

Henry paused as he seemed to ponder his mother words before he answered thoughtfully.

``Maybe a part time Merry man, like on weekends?''

All four of them burst out laughing as they sat in the sun together enjoying the rest of their perfect day.

...

It was thoughts of that day that sent Regina back to the town line that night, scrambling on her hands and knees to retrieve pieces of the page she had torn up earlier. She sat in her car once she believed she had found them all with a role of tape as she placed the pieces on the passenger seat in order like a jigsaw until she could make out the image of a younger her and Robin leaning in for kiss clearly. She wiped a hand over her face wet from tears before she started to tape the page together again.

She needed a reminder of what she was fighting for. After all, she has tasted her happy ending and it was far too beautiful to give up on.
