Rhodey read the paper as he rocked his babe on his lap. They were some good deals on hotels apparently, "We should go on an actual vacation," he told the blond.

Steve rubbed Bucky's shoulder as his head was occupying his lap, "To where?"

"Somewhere not snowy," he looked to the window. The weather had changed to the expected winter kind and it was a blizzard going. Of course they were far from cold since a certain wealthy man kept heat going, but it got boring after a while.

"How about Vancouver or something? Something tropical would be nice," Rhodes pulled his tablet over to look for places.

"So roadtrip is what you want? With these kids?" he gave a look as if to ask if he was sure.

"We'll plan it out, it'll be great."

"If you say so," he checked the time, "Well I'm gonna go see how Sam is doing, take him his gifts," he gently slid from Bucky and placed him on the couch with Rhodes.

"Tell him congrats on his new nephew," James just set Tony to his side so he could keep an arm on him and allow Bucky to stay comfy on his lap. He had some fun plans for the kids today.

Bucky yawned wide, nestling the thigh he rested against, it was softer than daddy's. He peeked an eye opened and saw why.

"Enjoy your nap?" Rhodey asked while rubbing his head.

"Yeah, where did Daddy go?" he stretched out.

"To visit Sam," he shrugged, "And Tony woke a while ago and went to hang with Happy and Pepper. So it's just us for a while."

"Oh, ok," he smiled. He hadn't gotten a chance to spend time with just mama since Tony was always around being a mom hog.

"I think you and I are going to do something fun, if you can behave." he added.

"I can," the man nodded, "I can be good."

"Well," he rubbed his chin, "It's too cold for us to go for a jog."

"No it's not." Bucky said not noting the fact that there were six to eight inches of snow.

"Let me rephrase: I'm not going out to jog," he told him, "Do you like sports?"

Bucky wiped the sweat from his brow and followed his mother's moves as he tried to steal the ball, "You play basket ball often?"

Rhodes juked around him and nodded, "Yeah, we have games on the base from time to time. Your mama does do things other than work," he smiled and made the shot.

"You're really good," he panted, "What other sports do you like? I had fun swimming."

"Swimming is fun," he nodded, "So is bike riding," he paused, "I need to get you a bike... Bowling is ok, my dad likes it more than I do so I subject myself to it when I visit him."

"That sounds like a fun visit," he smiled, stealing the ball and dribbling around him. He would have probably not guessed mama was was this physical. After all, how often did he see him doing something physical?

An exhilerating game of horse had both men panting and chugging their bottles of water.

"I think tying your hair back was benificial to you not losing faster," Rhodes teased.

"Well I'm a little rusty on my game," Bucky laughed, "But I bet I could beat you in a race."

"I bet you could too," he nodded, "I think we should make something for dinner."

"What are we gonna make?" he hurried behind the man, eager to see.

"I marinated some steaks last night so we're going to cook those with some green beans and a beet and apple salad," he had just looked up some recipes to help out.

"Oh, do we get dessert!?"

"Ice cream and cake, the classic," he smiled, "But first washing hands."

Cooking was a little too easy with Bucky cutting the veggies for their salad. He seemed to have retained his skills with a knife well. Asides that little moment they had a great time.

"Alright, I called people and they should be home soon actually, or at least Tony will," Rhodey told his oldest, "So we're going to enjoy our dinner since I'm sure little brother ate with his friends," he smiled and started cooking the steaks.

Bucky hoovered about mommy as he cooked. It was nice to spend time with him for once. He was a lot more interesting with Tony not attached to his hip.

"Is it ready yet?" he whined, the smell of food kissing his nose.

"Yes it is. Wash your hands and we'll eat," Rhodey smiled and set the plates at the table.

Bucky quickly did what he was told and sat to eat. He took two bites before he realized what it was, "Deer!"

"Yep, finally got around to fixing it for you," he smiled, eating his own, "But don't tell Tony what it is," he put a finger to his lips.

The man smiled and nodded as he tore into his food. Tony returned not too much later than they finished eating. Which was fine, he wasn't hungry. But he was soping wet.

Mama looked to the clock, deciding whether it was worth just changing him or not, "I guess it's bathtime, and we can watch a movie before bed."

"Wash me?" Bucky asked a bit timidly. Steve still was with Sam apparently and he did want to be washed.

"What? No, mama's washing me," Tony looked to his brother a bit defensively.

"I have an option I would be happy with," Rhodey started to the bathroom.

Tony and Bucky enjoyed their swimming bath toys as they watched them swim into the mountains of bubbles. Mama had stepped over to take his own shower while they played.

"I had fun with mama today," Bucky told his brother.

"I had fun with my friends too," Tony smiled, "What'd you guys do?"

"Played basketball and cooked. We're gonna watch a movie after bathtime too," he searched about for his turtle.

"That sounds fun. We all went to a little event and had some food."

Soon mama had both his boys washed and dressed for bed. They all picked a nice long movie to watch. So they watched Dark Knight in Mommy's room. Needless to say all falling asleep in his bed.

Any suggestions where the family should go for vacation? Any Suggestions period? Sorry, my inevitable block kicked in.
