Bucky snuggled to Steve's chest as he was placed in the suv. The parents decided last minute to leave the hotel first thing in the morning, ie not even the crack of dawn, while the kids were still sleeping to keep time. And once again to cut down on traffic.
"I'll drive first," Rhodes told the blond as he put his baby's blankie over his face. He was probably a bit more use to sleepless nights.
Somehow, thanks to a scene change in which nothing interesting happened, the kids woke up just in time. The bright light nearly burned Bucky's eyes out of his skull.
"When did we get in the car?" he rubbed his eyes and sucked his thumb.
"We just got to our new hotel," Steve commented as he took the last of the bags to their room.
"Oh?" he scanned the area, still a bit too dazed to make mind of what he was looking at.
"Yep, come on," Mama took his hand then went around to wake Tony and grab his, "Soon as we get in you two can bath and we can go have some fun to make up for the boring car ride."
"Gonna take a lot to make that up," the genius pulled his blankie off his head.
"Where are we going?!" Bucky whined and pulled at Steve's hand as they walked.
"You can open your eyes now," he sighed.
As soon as both the boys opened their eyes they were greeted by Cinderella's castle. Mommy and Daddy had decided a trip to the supposed funnest place on Earth would do the boys good. Judging by the smiles they were well surprised.
"I've seen this place on TV!" Bucky looked at all the rides and smelled all the food. He saw the mascots and bounced up and down like the excited child he was.
Tony looked about at the amusement park. He'd only been once and it was so long ago he didn't even remember what it was like.
"That explains the ridiculous ride," he commented, looking around.
"Figured it would be more fun in a warm climate," Mama rubbed his babe's head, "What do you want to do first? Rides, shows or food?"
"I want all," Bucky started to run off but was grabbed.
"We stay together," Steve told him, "We can't do all first, but we can do some rides, take a break, then eat while watching a show."
"Ok, lets go do a coaster!" he smiled and pulled the blond along.
"Well, Tony, lets go," Rhodes followed the guys.
"The roller coasters will be a nice step back for us," he smirked.
"I do enjoy going at not mach 5 speeds from time to time," the mother nodded with a smirk.
Bucky smiled and clapped as the coaster turned, looped, and spun. It was nice to feel in control of the tossing he was recieving. Steve smiled to make his boy happy, all honesty he was getting dizzy and a little ill as this was their fifth roller coaster.
"Lets go on the next one!" Bucky pulled the blond.
"How about we take a break and see a show? We'll be here for a while." he tried to convince the boy.
"How long is a while?" the man pouted.
"Several days," Mama commented, "You wanna get your face painted?"
Bucky gave him a look, remembering his eye paint. He'd since found out why Tony called him grumpy cat, "War paint?"
"If you want," the man shrugged, "Come on, you'll see," he took the boy's hand and lead him to the painter.
Tony got a cool intricate robot face paint. Bucky decided to get a raccoon face paint.
"Looks cool," James smiled at their choices, "Very suiting."
Steve looked to the boys and rolled his eyes, boys will be boys, "Ok, are we ready for a show." he quietly thanked Rhodes for distracting them. It was just enough to settle the knot in his belly.
"Want some waffle sandwiches?" Mom looked to his boys.
"Anything with meat please!" Bucky bounced.
Rhodes nodded and got the chicken one for Bucky, two regular waffles with strawberries and whipped cream for him and Tony and a breakfast waffle sandwich for Steve.
It was far later than they normally had breakfast but that probably made it even more delicious than normal. Regardless the answer the men feasted as if they were kings.
Bucky pat his belly with a smile. The unthinkable had been done. He was actually satisfied and full, "What next?"
"Well daddy wanted to see a show so we shall see a show," Rhodey covered a yawn and stood, "So lets go."
"What movie are we gonna see?" the former experiment jumped up quickly.
"Whatever play is going on there already," Steve grabbed his oldest hand and walking off to the theatre.
"Do we have to see the weird mascot?" Tony looked to his mother, hiding slightly.
The darker man looked down with a smile, "What's wrong, Tony? Afraid of a man in a mickey mouse suit?"
"It's creepy and I don't like it." he muttered.
"Don't worry baby, mama will protect you," he smiled and tapped his hand.
