Sorry for the wait, I've been so busy with school, that I've been putting this chapter off. I made this chapter EXTRA long, because I've been feeling that my previous chapters were short. I also added dividers for subsections of the chapter. Enjoy!

Sunlight filtered into Celestia's room as she opened her tired eyes, which seemed to be glued shut with sleep.

Luna, her sister, whom she shared a room with, stretched in her bed.

Suddenly, Celestia remembered Discord, who was only allowed in the garden.

"I-I have to go" she stuttered to her alicorn sister.

"But where are you going, Tia?" the dark blue mare questioned.

"Just tell Father I went to the garden"

"But-" Luna protested, but her pink hair whipped around the corner and out the door.

Discord looked around the garden and sighed. Still no sign of her…. he thought.

Suddenly, Celestia burst in the garden, breathing heavily.

"I...came...as...fast...as...I...could" she gasped, pausing between every word to breathe.

The draconequus perked up. She remembered me! rang in his head.

When the alicorn caught her breath, she stood up and brushed herself off.

"I brought your breakfast"

A pile of food on a golden tray floated towards him, surrounded by the yellow aura from her horn.

"Is that all you came for?" Discord questioned, his ears slightly drooping.

"Of course not!" Celestia exclaimed. "If I did, would I have rushed to get to you?"

"I suppose not…"

"Well then", she sat down next to him. "What do you want to do?"

"Let me finish my breakfast?" he chuckled.

Celestia sprang up.

"Right...right"

She sat back down nervously.

Suddenly, she sprang back up again, this time with joy.

"I know!" she exclaimed.

Discord tilted his head in confusion.

"You know what?"

"I know what will make my parents like you!" Celestia was bouncing with delight.

"And that would be… "

"We could have a dinner party!"

Discord stumbled backwards and almost tripped on his tail.

"You want me to have a dinner party with the very ponies that killed my family in cold blood?!" he shouted.

The alicorn flinched at his raised tone. "My parents might not be great, but they're my parents, and they were the ones who let you stay here in the first place! I think having dinner with them would bring you closer."

The draconequus noticed the pain in her eyes and softened his tone.

"Wouldn't you be uncomfortable in those kind of circumstances?"

Celestia winced.

"I know…I know… "

She raised her head, tears shining in her eyes.

"It's just… I can't have you living in my garden when there's a massive castle right in front of you… what if there's a storm, or a tornado, or… "

She started to softly weep, her head in her hooves.

"I don't want to choose between my family… and you…"

Discord smacked his head in frustration. How do I handle teenage, crying princesses? he thought to himself.

Suddenly, a light bulb went off in his head, and he knew.

He snapped his fingers, causing Celestia to look up. When she did, a massive pink cloud floated above her. Before she could blink, the dirt and soft grass below was drenched in chocolate milk.

The alicorn beamed, drying her eyes as she let the brown liquid wash over her, drenching her mane, her coat, and her tail.

"It's wonderful", she whispered to Discord. She opened her mouth and let some drizzle into her mouth.

Suddenly, her eyes widened.

"It tastes amazing! Like love!"

The draconequus smiled as she took a mouthful of the low-hanging cloud, then chuckled as she gasped in surprise.

"It's gone!" Celestia exclaimed, pointing to her pink-stained tongue.

"That's because it dissolved", Discord laughed.

The alicorn suddenly stepped out of the chocolate rain, illuminating her horn. Suddenly, her mane, coat, and tail were as dry as they were before.

She noticed Discord staring in confusion and smiled.

"Cleansing spell", she explained.

He shook his head. "We got off track… you said there was a dinner party tonight?" he questioned, his voice wavering with uncertainty.

Celestia smiled, obviously seeing what he was hinting at.

"Tonight, at 6:00. Sharp." she stated, beginning to run off.

As Discord watched her, she yelled over her shoulder, her voice gradually trailing off.

"WEAR SOMETHING NICE! AND DON'T BE LATE!"

The draconequus shook his head as she disappeared.

"Discord, what have you gotten yourself into?"

King Cosmos, Queen Galaxia, Celestia, Luna, and Cadence sat at a large, long table.

The king impatiently tapped his hooves on the dining area.

Suddenly, he stood up furiously, banging down on the cherry wood.

"WHERE IS HE?!" he shouted. "WE ARE NOT WAITING ANY LONGER!"

As if on cue, Discord appeared at the head of the table, dressed in an obsidian colored tuxedo that covered his long, brown body.

"I'm… here… " he panted.

Before Queen Galaxia could stop him, the king bashed his hoof on the table once more, cracking the surface of the polished wood.

"WHERE WERE YOU?!" he roared.

Discord shuffled his mismatched feet, clearly embarrassed.

"I-i was getting these…" he stuttered.

With a nervous flourish, he pulled out several bouquets of flowers, four were pale white, and one was a deep, midnight blue.

He handed the white flowers to the three princesses and the queen, and the blue one to the king.

"W-what is this?"

Discord stared at his feet sheepishly.

"I-i didn't know i-if you l-liked flowers, b-but I-i just wanted t-to…."

His voiced trailed off as he slowly sunk into his seat, his face burning.

After an awkward pause, Queen Galaxia spoke up.

"These are lovely, Discord." the queen reassured him, her face inside the bouquet.

Cadence, who was sitting next to the draconequus, put her hoof on his shoulder.

"They would make a great centerpiece!" she piped up, summoning all the flowers with her horn and placing them in the middle, a light blue aura surrounding them.

All the princesses started to talk at once to Discord, assuring him that his gesture was appreciated.

King Cosmos was still staring at the midnight blue flowers meant for him when Discord interrupted.

"I hate to bother you, but shouldn't we start on dinner?" the draconequus questioned.

The king shook his head, snapping himself out of his daze.

"Right… right", he stuttered, clearly distracted.

Covered plates of all sizes floated towards the dining party, surrounded by a navy blue aura from King Cosmos' horn.

The princesses and queen hurriedly sat down as they noticed the platters coming towards them.

Discord snapped his fingers and summoned a cloth napkin, placing it on his lap, and the royal family took their napkins as well.

Queen Galaxia removed the lids off of the platters, revealing the food underneath. As she did, the young princesses and draconequus craned their necks to see what they were being served.

The appetizer was a plate of cut veggies, including seasoned broccoli and carrots. The main course was wild grasses with different peppers and salts. For the big finale, the dessert was ripe oats, covered in a sugar-honey glaze.

Discord cleared his throat and spoke up.

"I hate to be rude, but what exactly IS all this?" he questioned. Discord had never eaten anything but cotton candy and chocolate milk during his time on his own, and nopony has ever had the decency to tell him basic food for ponies.

Luna spoke for the first time that evening.

"This is pony food. We eat vegetables, grass, and oats. Looks like you'll be trying some new foods tonight." the young, dark blue alicorn explained, a humorous tone to her voice.

Discord looked at the plates of unfamiliar food with an uneasy expression.

Celestia looked at him with friendly concern in her gaze, then nudged him playfully with her hoof.

"C'mon! We eat the veggies first."

She summoned a fork from her plate and moved it towards the appetizer, stabbing a stalk of broccoli and a carrot slice.

Before Discord could protest, she shoved the vegetables into his mouth.

He started to chew slowly, moving it around with his tongue.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he made an effort to chew faster.

Celestia smiled, then summoned another fork, adding a small quantity of vegetables to her plate, excluding the broccoli and cooked spinach.

The other ponies at the table got the message and awkwardly brought their forks to the appetizer plate, each gathering different vegetables on their plate.

When the appetizer plate was bare, only leaving behind a puddle of water from the fresh veggies, a male unicorn wearing a tuxedo gathered their plates and placed clean dishes in front of the dining guests.

Discord looked at the wild grasses with an uncomfortable expression, as if he expected them to come alive.

Unexpectedly, the grasses did just that, opening narrow mouths and growing stubby legs.

The king and queen looked at the draconequus, their faces contorted with matching accusing glares.

Discord returned their stare with a sheepish grin, color flooding to his cheeks.

"I'm sorry… It happens when I'm nervous… " he mumbled, sinking into his chair.

King Cosmos, with a look like thunder, couldn't stand this any longer.

"YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE, DRACONEQUUS!" the king roared, his magical starry mane flaring in anger.

"Cosmos, please…" the queen pleaded, a desperate tone to her voice.

But the king wasn't going to wait any longer. All the anger towards the draconequus species flooded out of him.

"YOU WILL TURN THE MAIN COURSE BACK TO FOOD, YOU WILL PACK YOUR BAGS, AND YOU WILL LEAVE MY CASTLE!" he bellowed. "IT'S BAD ENOUGH THAT I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT THERE ARE STILL DRACONEQUI STILL OUT THERE, BUT I HAVE TO DINE WITH ONE, WHO IS LIVING IN THE CASTLE GARDEN!"

Celestia looked at her father in horror, tears streaming down her face.

Discord angrily stood up, slamming the chair backwards.

"YOU WANT ME GONE?" he yelled at the king, taking him by surprise. "FINE! I NEVER WANTED TO STAY ANYWAYS!"

Without another word, Discord stormed out of the dining hall, his face burning.

Celestia cried out, jumping up out of her chair. But before she could race after him, King Cosmos stamped down on her tail, causing her to cry out in pain.

"DON'T YOU SEE?!" the king roared angrily. "THAT DRACONEQUUS WAS A BAD INFLUENCE FROM THE START! YOU ARE NOT GOING AFTER HIM!"

Tears flooding from her eyes, she lit her horn in fury. A blast of yellow light caused the king to yank back from her tail.

She spread her wings and flew out the door without a second glance at her father, who was rubbing his scorched red hoof.

Soon, Celestia caught up with Discord, who was moodily sitting on a bright pink cloud, which was steadily raining chocolate milk and muttering to himself.

The sound of the alicorn softly weeping triggered the draconequus, who craned his neck over the cotton candy cloud.

Celestia took this as an opportunity to speak to him.

"Did you really mean what you said?", she questioned uncertainly, her voice cracking.

Discord sighed, obviously not wanting to relive the recent blow-out.

"I was just mad… I wasn't thinking…"

"But my father doesn't know that…", Celestia groaned.

"What happened after I left?" Discord asked, a concerned tone in his voice.

The young princess looked away.

"When you left, I tried to go after you, but my father stopped me. He stomped on my tail, and I was trapped… I had no choice…"

"You had no choice… what did you do?" the draconequus questioned worriedly.

Celestia winced. "I-i used a burn spell on my father…" she told Discord reluctantly.

Discord almost fell off his cloud in shock.

"You did that for me?!"

Celestia startled him again by throwing herself down, sobbing furiously.

"I-i just don't k-know what t-to do!" she cried.

Discord flew down to her, leaving the cloud in the air.

"Hey", he reassured her in a soft tone. "It's ok… I'll leave here, like I promised your dad, and you won't have to worry about me anymore. You've already done enough for me… I don't want to destroy your family in return…"

Celestia stared at him, her eyes shining. Suddenly, she stood up, brushed herself off, and dried her face off.

"No. You're not leaving. I don't care what my dad says, you're the only friend I've had, and he is not going to take that away from me!" she exclaimed with determination.

"A-are you s-sure?!" Discord squeaked, but Celestia was already shoving him out of the garden.

"My father might be king, but he can't tell me who I can and cannot be friends with!" she declared.

Aren't they cuties? I can't wait to leave you in suspense- I mean...um...get started on the next chapter! Yeah...totally meant to say that...
