JIGOKU'S POV
"SAKURA!" I screamed, jumping for her fading form. She was pulled in just before I could get her hand. My best friend… gone. I turned to be faced with… Oh-no. Gods no. Please don't let this be happening right now.
Natsu Dragoneel lay in the middle of my living room, Lucy Heartfilla thrown on top of him. There was a flying blue cat, pulling Lucy up, Happy, I think.
"Luuuuusheee! You're so heavy!" Happy wailed.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY, CAT?!" The blonde shouted.
"Wahhhh!" The blue feline flew out of Lucy's grasp, and landed on top of my head.
"Help, the mean lady is trying to hurt me!" He cried out.
"Wait, who is this? Where are we?!" Natsu glanced up, looking at me. "ANSWER ME!" He shouted, his fist lighting up.
I took a large step back. "Whoa there, listen, I don't know how you got here. I'm, umm, Jigoku. Nice to meet you?"
Lucy took a step towards me, and held her hand out. "I'm Lucy! This is Natsu, and the cat is Happy."
I shook her head, surprised to find that it felt like a real hand, warm, and kind of sweaty. "Um, so let me try to explain the situation to you… You see, this isn't Magnolia… Or even Fiore."
That's right. I actually knew loads about the Fairy Tail world, even though I didn't really watch it. Sakura would drone on and on and on about it. I did the same for Attack on Titan, so I couldn't really object.
After I finished explaining, Lucy shook her head. "Out of one parallel universe, into another, ne, Natsu? And one where we're practically famous!" Personally, I wouldn't want to be famous for being an animation.
Natsu nodded. "As long as they have fire chicken! Edolas didn't." He gave Lucy and me a crooked grin, to which Lucy blushed lightly. I was the only one to notice.
"So, anyways, we'll have to find a way for you to get home." I said. "You guys must have the entire guild worried about you!"
Natsu frowned. "That's right! We were thrown out of Edolas, and it's only been 4 days since we've been back!"
Lucy turned towards me. "Any ideas on how we can get home? We don't know anything about this world, so I guess we'll be looking to you to guide us!"
I agreed. "First, you should probably get more… 21st century clothes. And," I glared at Natsu, hard. "Don't use any magic, at all. Happy has to act like a normal cat, you both have to act like normal people. Or else… Understood?"
Natsu nodded meekly. "Somehow, she reminds me of Erza…" He whispered to Happy.
"Aye, she's scarier than Lucy."
"We heard that!" Lucy and I slammed our fists into their heads.
"Anyways, could you get us some clothes?" Lucy asked.
"Sure, just follow me upstairs, I'll find something." We headed up the stairs and into my parent's bedroom.
"I think this'll fit you... And maybe this…" Grabbing hangers, I shoved them at the two. "Go change, will you?" Natsu and Lucy entered separate rooms, Natsu complaining and Lucy looking interested, examining the garments.
Happy walked up to me. "Umm, Jigoku… How do I act like a cat?"
And that is why Natsu and Lucy came back to see me and Happy playing with yarn and meowing. Of course, I wasn't meowing. Just Happy.
"So? How do we look?" Lucy asked. She was wearing a white baggy sweatshirt that said 'Mystify', and skinny jeans. Her blonde hair was layered around her shoulders. Natsu had an old red hoodie of my dad's on, and was wearing jeans, which he kept picking at.
"Well, you guys look great! Just like normal people, in this century anyways." I exclaimed, getting up from the floor.
"Lushee! I can be a real cat now!" Happy meowed and pawed the ball of yarn towards Lucy, who giggled.
"Wah, so kawaii!" She took Happy and hugged him, and he meowed. I smiled.
"Hey, can't I just wear my vest and loose pants? These are so weird, I mean, they itch!" Natsu whined, sitting on the floor.
"Hey, hey! Don't get those dirty!" I shooed Natsu off the floor. "You guys hungry?"
Finally, Natsu's frown turned 'upside down'.
"FOOOOD! YOU'RE THE BEST!" He grabbed my forearm and Lucy's.
"Wait, Natsu! What are you doin-KYAAAAA!" Lucy screamed, as did I, as Natsu jumped the entire staircase, and pulled us into the kitchen.
"Food." Natsu sat at the table, eager, as Happy walked in on all fours, just like a regular cat. I sighed, and turned to the fridge, as Lucy gave him one of her famous Lucy Kicks.
"Okay, we've got chips and dip, maybe we could order pizza, and I've got a bottle of Coke?" I turned to see confused faces.
"What's pizza?"
"Is Coke a type of fish?!"
"Um, Jigoku-chan…" Lucy pulled me over. "I think these are all 'your century' foods."
I grinned. "Well, be prepared for a tasty explosion, then."
We ordered 3 large pizzas, and I served them Coke.
"Whoa… It's heavenly!" Natsu cried.
"I feel like a new person." Lucy's eyes sparkled. I grinned.
"Coke is pretty amazing."
Happy was frowning, and he padded over to me.
"Do you have any fish?" He asked, sad.
"Of course, here." I put some uncooked salmon on a plate, sliding towards the hungry Exceed, whose face lit up in an instant.
"Fish!" He gobbled it up. "It's really good, I want to give some to Charle! Wait..." All three of them became quiet.
"I already miss them." Natsu spoke up.
"I was supposed to go shopping with Levy-chan!" Lucy face-palmed, groaning. "I can't believe I forgot!"
"Lushee, don't you care about the others?"
The girl in question became quiet. "Of course I do, Happy." She felt tears on her face. "What if we never see them again?"
I reached her hand out to Lucy, to comfort her, when the shock finally hit me.
Sakura was gone.
My hand shook as I slowly lowered it, an action noticed by Natsu.
"Oi, what's wrong? You haven't been transported to another world! Again!" He cried.
"My friend disappeared when you guys crashed into my living room." I spoke, voice trembling. "My best friend. She's gone." My sharp eyes turned on Natsu. "Don't think that I'm not in pain too."
Lucy gasped, ashamed. "I'm so sorry… We didn't see her go."
"Yeah. You didn't." I gulped. "I'm going to get more Coca-Cola." She stood up, her hands clenched into fists.
Titans. War. That was what Sakura had been sent into. What if she came back, a pile of mangled limbs and blood? I gulped, sweat on my brow. My best friend… Dead. I couldn't think about it.
Sakura and I had been attached at the hip since kindergarten. Like sisters, we were always together. I had made Sakura get her silver streak among her hair when Sakura 'accidently' dyed the tips of my brown hair red. Even though I had gotten it cut off, resulting in my current short hair, Sakura kept the streak. We had passed, failed, cried, laughed, and grew up together.
And now Sakura might be dead.
I shakily opened the fridge for the Coca-Cola, then screamed.
