Just a reminder that I do not own any of the characters or any quotes that you recognise. They belong to Kurt Sutter and FX.
Shit had gotten so bad that Tara had gone to Hale about what was happening. Jax would be so pissed if he knew that she went to Hale for help before she went to him. Jax and Tara were off and on during their teenage years, in one of their off periods Hale and Tara had gotten close. Since then there was already bad blood between them, Tara did not want to take full responsibility for Hale and Jax's relationship. Jax hated Hale because he fucked Tara. He always considered himself to be better than Jax and he hated the club, and he would do anything to see them behind bars or even dead. Hale hated Jax because Tara left him for Jax and that he saw the club as a poison on Charming.
Tara really didn't have any choice. She had gotten home from work to find her bed covered in rose petals and pictures of her time with Kohn. In her lounge room, there was a DVD playing on repeat of shots of her in both Chicago and Charming. Running to the bathroom to be sick was when she noticed the letter written to her in red lipstick on her mirror ''we'll be together soon baby! I am with you, always''. After being sick, she raced out of the front door back to the hospital hoping that Hale was still there. Hale was trying to interview Kyle about the burns but so far, he hadn't given them anything about the club, or any other information.
Hale was at the receptionist desk speaking to one of the nurses. ''Do you have a free sec?'' she asked. Hale nodded, waiting for her to fill in the blanks ''Not here, somewhere more private'' Tara asked. Leading him out into a hallway where no one was around; Hale looked at her, waiting for her to speak ''If I had a restraining order on someone in Chicago, would that still be valid here?'' she questioned. He looked a little unsure of what to ask, obviously seeing that Tara wasn't going to give details ''I'll have a look''. She thanked him, walking away.
Tara didn't want to go home and have to deal with what Kohn had done. She couldn't handle the thought of him being in her house and touching her things. I'll probably have to wash all the stuff in my underwear draw she thought to herself imagining what he had probably got up to, alone in her house. Deciding that her time could be better spent on checking in on Abel, she decided to go and change her scrubs in her office before seeing him. Ideally the plan was to go home, sleep, shower and change but Kohn had shot that to hell.
Walking towards Abel's room, she was stopped by a couple of nurses who wanted to fill her in on all the gossip. Apparently Kyle had asked to leave accepting to sign the AMA (Against Medical Advise) papers; he just wanted to get the hell out of Charming. He hadn't said a word to anyone about his injuries, instead offering the story that he was drunk and fell onto a barbeque which still didn't explain why he was dropped outside of the hospital the way he was.
Entering Abel's room, the first thing she noticed was that Kohn was in the room. He was standing next to Abel, starring down at Abel with a strange, wishful look on his face. ''You're not meant to be here. It's for medical personnel and family only'' noticing Tara, he looked up and said ''it still hurts me'' looking towards her stomach. Reminding her of the abortion, she had to do it. She couldn't have a baby to Joshua, she just couldn't. No one in their right mind would bring a baby into a world where the father abuses you. But this baby is different, although the pregnancy shouldn't have happened the way it did. But she loved her baby already and would do anything to protect it, even from Jax. If it had to come to that, she would protect it from anyone who could potentially hurt it.
She wrapped her hands around her stomach, hoping that he would just leave. ''Be at Samcro in 45 minutes if you want to see his future and maybe yours too'' moving closer to her. She stepped back, further away from him so that he couldn't touch her hoping he wouldn't notice her shaking. She felt sick seeing Joshua and didn't really want to be around anyone including Abel, decided to instead go and relax in her office.
Tara couldn't help herself and she regretted it as soon as she pulled up outside the clubhouse. Watching the whole club including Jax laying on the concrete with their hands behind their backs laughing while in handcuffs. It was a bad idea to even come but she had. Watching for a few more minutes, she noticed Joshua looking in her direction. Starting the car, she pulled out of the lot.
Running into Jax hadn't been part of the plan but it was a welcome change. Jax was obviously there to see Abel, finishing her shift she asked Jax for a lift home. She was hoping that if Joshua was following her that he would see her with Jax, he would decide to leave her alone at least for tonight until she could speak to Hale again. Jax agreed and told her to meet him at Abel's room once she had finished her shift. Tara gave him an excuse for needing a ride home that she had, had a shitty day.
Meeting Jax in Abel's room and watching Jax lean down to kiss Abel goodbye. She headed outside, waiting for Jax at his motorbike. Jax hopped onto the motorbike, giving Tara a helmet and she hopped on, wrapping her hands around Jax. It was the best feeling she had felt in a long time.
