Harry Potter a different Life

Chapter 17

Liz was awoken, the next day, by the sun shining down on her face. She looked up confused. It took her a few moments to remember what had happened yesterday. The clock on her nightstand said that it was 8:30am. She slowly got up and walked into the hallway. She saw Susan coming out of the bathroom so Liz went inside. After she got ready she went downstairs and quickly found the kitchen. "Morning Liz" Amelia said as Liz sat down across from Sirius.

"Did you sleep well?" Sirius asked taking a sip from his tea.

"Good" Liz said short and began to eat her bacon and eggs. She was halfway thru her breakfast when Susan came down.

"Morning" she said as she sat down next to Liz. "Aunt Amelia can I go over to Neville's today?" Susan asked.

"Yes dear…but please be back by dinnertime okay" Amelia said strict. Susan nodded happily. After breakfast Susan went to Neville´s and Liz went back up to her room. She looked thru her things and quickly found her Diary. She sat down on her bed and started writing.

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was a very hectic day. I not only found out that I am a Witch but my Family (who I thought were dead) were alive and magical as well. Turned out I was Kidnaped when I was a baby and my "Dad" went to Jail for something he did not do. I am so confused. My "Parents" seem to be nice though. We´ll see how this will work out. Somehow I am very happy to be out of that orphanage but I miss friends. Also I am very angry. I mean who would kidnap a baby? I am glad that that man does not have any power in this world anymore. "Mom" told me that he was well loved and that nearly everyone looked up to him. Well luckily that's all over. I have a cousin as well. She is living with us. Her name is Susan and she is a year older than me and will be leaving for School soon. Her Parents, my "Moms" brother and his wife, were killed ten years ago. I hope I will make new friends soon otherwise it will be very lonely here. But "Dad" said that his friends have daughters in my age and that I will meet them soon…

Liz stopped and looked up to see Amelia standing in the doorway. "You write Diary?" she asked.

"Yes…since I am six" Liz said and closed the Diary. Amelia sat down on the bed facing Liz.

"I wrote too when I was younger…my brother always tried to read it" she said laughing.

"Really?" Liz asked. Amelia nodded.

"Yeah especially when I started dating your father" she said.

"Why" Liz asked.

"Your father had a certain reputation at school…he was a real lady man and prankster" Amelia said smiling.

"Really?" Liz asked.

"Yes…he has changed though. I mean the woman still like him especially now that he was in Jail…you know the bad guy type…But he still is a prankster especially when he is together with James" Amelia said laughing.

"Who was James again?" Liz asked.

"Your Fathers best friend…they are like brothers…but in reality they are cousins" Amelia explained. Liz looked confused. "Sirius will explain soon" Amelia added and smiled at Liz. "Now look at the time…looks like Lunch will be soon" Amelia said after a few minutes of silence. Together they headed down the stairs. Sirius was sitting at the kitchen table and smiled at them when they entered.

-At Longbottom Manor-

Susan and Neville were sitting at the Kitchen table eating Lunch. "How is your Greenhouse coming along?" Susan asked smiling.

"Great I planted some Devils snare yesterday…if you want you can look at it after Lunch" Neville suggested. Susan nodded eager. "By the way how is your cousin? Is she nice?" Neville asked.

"I don´t know we haven´t talked very much. But she seems nice though…she looks a lot like Sirius" Susan said as they stood up and walked out of the kitchen.

"I am sure you will get to spend more time with her" Neville said as they stepped onto the grounds. On the left side of the Manor was a huge Greenhouse. You could already see lots of plants and flowers. When they stepped inside Susan gasped.

"Wow…It looks so beautiful…You planted that all by yourself?" She asked.

"Mostly…Gran sometimes helped me when I was younger or with the more complex plants" Neville said smiling.

"Well I hope you will help me in Herbology once we´re at Hogwarts?" Susan asked smiling while looking at some Roses.

"Of course I will help you…and Harry…if you help me in the other classes?" Neville said.

"Of course" Susan said smiling. Neville walked over to the Roses, cut on of, and put it in Susan´s hair. They smiled and Neville showed her around.

-At Potter´s Castle-

James was excited. Today he would get his Parents back. He hasn´t seen them since he was 17 years old. The plan was, that he would go to Gringotts alone, to pick them up as they did not know about his marriage and the Children. James was currently standing in front of a mirror, in his and Lily´s bedroom, trying to flatten his hair. Lily came up behind him and put her arms around him.

"You know it is hopeless" she said laughing.

"Ahh…I know…but my Mum doesn´t like it when it is messy" James said frustrated. He turned around in Lily´s arm, took her face in his hands, and kissed her. "I love you Lil" he said smiling as he pulled away from her.

"I love you too James" Lily said sweet. James took her hand and they walked downstairs. They found the Children in the living room watching the telly.

"Okay…I should be leaving now…wish me luck" James said.

"Good luck" the children all said as they hugged him. Lily kissed him one more time.

James stepped into the Fireplace and said "Gringotts Bank London".

-At Gringotts Bank-

James stepped out of the Fireplace and walked up to the front desk.

"Ah…Mr. Potter…please follow me" the Goblin said and led James to the backroom. "Your Parents are already here…their memory is clear and they are waiting for you" the Goblin said as they stopped in front of the door. James slowly opened the Door. On the couch were two elderly people sitting. The woman had long red curly hair and the man had the same messy black hair as James but with a little bit of grey in it.

"Mum? Dad?" James asked. Both looked up and smiled.

"James…it is so good to see you…it´s been so long…how are you?" the elderly woman asked. James hugged them both.

"Everything is fine…there are so many things that you have missed…Lily and I are married" James started and sat down. He explained everything to them. To say they were shocked was an understatement. When James finished Dorea Potter (James Mum) was crying and hugging her only son.

"Oh James…I am so sorry you had to go thru all of this…" Charlus Potter (James Dad) said looking his son in the eyes.

"It is not your fault Dad…It is all Dumbledore´s fault. But don´t worry about it…Amelia Bones, Professor McGonagall and the Goblins are working on it…we should worry about Harry…we have to make sure that he is trained and keep him away from Dumbledore and everyone who is loyal to him" James said serious and a little angry.

"When can we meet our Grandchildren?" Dorea asked.

"We can go now…we should be right in time for dinner" James said. They stood up, walked out of the room and into the entrance hall. They said goodbye to the Goblins and left thru the floo. When they arrived they automatically went to the kitchen. Lily was cooking dinner. She turned around and screamed.

"Oh…you´re back…it is so good to see you again…I hope James explained everything" Lily said as she hugged them.

"Yes…Yes he has" Dorea said smiling.

"Lily where are the Children?" James asked.

"Upstairs Love" Lily said and James left the room to get the Children. 5 minutes later he came back with four children behind him.

"Children…these are my Parents, your Grandparents…Dorea and Charlus Potter" James said and pushed the a little bit forward.

The Children nervously said" Hi". Dorea rushed forward and hugged them tight. Charlus did the same. After a few minutes the Children warmed up a little bit.

"Okay Dinner is ready so please wash your hands" Lily said looking at the Children…and James. After a minute they were all seated around the table. The evening was spend getting to know eachother and Dorea telling them stories about James as a child.

-Same Time at the Black/Bones house-

Susan arrived back home just in time for Dinner. She walked into the kitchen and found her aunt Amelia, Sirius and Liz sitting at the table. "Ah Susan just in time…did you had a good time?" Amelia asked as Susan sat down between her and Liz.

"Yes…he showed me his Greenhouse…it was fun" Susan said smiling.

"That is great…Okay tomorrow we are going to Diagon Alley with the Potters…we need to get you some proper wizarding clothes Liz…and if I remember correctly it is Emilys and Percys birthday soon so we need to get them something" Amelia said smiling. After Dinner Susan and Liz went upstairs.

"Are they nice?" Liz asked suddenly.

"Who? The Potters?...they are very nice…they have four children. Harry is my age, Emily will be turning 10 soon, Marc is 7 and charlotte is 4 years old" Susan said smiling.

"So…Emily is my age?" Liz asked.

"Yes…and so is Ginny Weasley you will meet her this weekend" Susan said.

"That is good…I thought I would be all alone" Liz said.

"You´re not alone…you´ve got Aunt Amelia, Sirius…and me" Susan said smiling.

"Yeah but…you will be leaving soon and I thought I would have no one my age" Liz said a little sad. Susan stopped and looked at Liz.

"You will never be alone…you will always have us…even though we don´t know you very well yet…we still love you…you are Family and Family always stand together" Susan said and put a hand on Liz shoulder. Liz Cried and hugged Susan. After a few minutes they broke apart.

"Thank you" Liz said smiling. They said goodnight and went to bed. Neither of them knowing that Amelia and Sirius heard everything. Both adults cried.

"She is going to be alright" Sirius said as he put an arm around Amelia and led her to bed.
