Percy
How did he end up here? In the middle of a library with Hermes and Hestia; He wasn't sure. It was kind of a blur. He originally asked Hermes to take him to the mortal world because the god just couldn't resist mischief and that was a known fact. But on the way to the elevator they ran into Hestia who came with them to 'keep them out of trouble'.
Currently Hermes was looking through a Greek mythology book on a page all about him and laughing like a hyena at how strange he used to look while Hestia rolled her eyes in a motherly way. Percy was looking through an old poetry book, finding it cool how he could both read and watch them at the same time. It was a miracle in itself that he could read English without it jumbling up and frustrating him. He could also hear Goldilocks (who was currently disguised as a golden retriever and sitting outside because dogs weren't allowed in the library) complaining about everything under the sun.
"I'm going to go sit at that table over there, ok guys?" He said, focusing his full attention on the two gods for a second.
"Stay in our sights Perseus" Hestia said, smiling softly at him.
Feeling rather like a young child he buried his head in his book and made his way to the table. As he was walking off he heard Hermes.
"They grow up so fast!" He cooed.
As Percy turned around to glare at he collided with something. It was like electricity exploded he fell on top of somebody. It was a girl with pretty dark honey blonde hair, slight gold freckles and wide blue eyes framed by the thick black frames of glasses. Both froze for a few seconds, staring into each other's eyes, as cheesy as it sounds before regaining their senses.
"Hi" She squeaked, blushing as both of them scuttled back from each other. "I'm so, so sorry, I really am such a klutz-"
Percy smiled and interrupted her.
"No, it's fine – really. It was my fault, anyway; I wasn't looking where I was going"
As they both stood up each of them picked up a book. The one he picked up's cover read: The complete collection of marine-biology. The one she picked up read: Old times poems.
"Is this yours?" She asked, still blushing, holding out his book.
"Yeah" He took his book and held out the marine biology book. "And this must be yours"
"Thanks" There was an awkward silence, neither of the pair was quite sure what to say.
"Uh… I'm Kasey. Kasey Clark" She said, sticking out a hand. He smiled, finding her shyness oddly sweet.
"Percy. Percy Jackson" He shook her hand. For a second they just stared at each other.
"So marine biology, huh? You're into that kind of stuff?" He asked in a desperate attempt to keep up a conversation with this intriguing girl. She smiled and began to talk about it, eyes lighting up behind the lenses of her thick framed glasses.
Kasey Clark
Why was this beautiful stranger talking to me of all people? He might just be doing it to go back to his buddies about how pathetic she was. But somehow she couldn't picture him doing that and she'd only knew him for about five seconds. His name was Percy Jackson, he had windswept dark hair and intriguing, odd golden eyes. And by some miracle he actually payed attention to her and was interested in marine biology, something she was passionate about. It was something little to rare among her classmates at college.
At the moment she was telling him all about her latest studies on turtles when she stopped herself.
"I'm boring you, aren't I? I'm sorry" She said sheepishly, clutching her book.
"Not at all, it's actually very interesting. What's that you were saying about when they're developing in the shells?"
She grinned up at him, about to tell him about it when she saw two people approaching them.
"Uh… Do you know them?" She asked, pointing in said direction where a man in a business suit with mischievous eyes and a little girl who is about eight were swiftly coming over. Both had the same otherworldly beauty about them.
"Oh yeah, I came here with them"
"Cool" She awkwardly nodded; with wary eyes she watched their every move.
"Percy, who's this lovely lady" The man wiggled his eyebrows at him, smirking in a knowing way. Percy blushed a bit.
"Uh…" He seemed like he was caught in the middle of the act. An overwhelming confidence overtook her,
"I'm Kasey, lovely to meet you" She stuck out a hand. The man took it. Then the girl.
"I'm Herbert"
"Hestia, nice to meet you too, Kasey"
It surprised her how old their eyes looked, like they'd lived far longer than just how old they seemed. Through many decades and generations.
"Uh.. Percy, it was nice meeting you, but I have a class in twenty minutes so I really need to go" She said after a while, gesturing to the door.
"Oh ok… Bye" They waved awkwardly and went they're separate ways.
Percy
He turned back to Hestia and Hermes when she reached the desk to check out her book and Hermes immediately punched him lightly in the arm.
"Dude! You just let her go just like that" He whisper shouted, but still got shushed by a woman reading fifty shades of grey. He looked at her and shushed her back, cringing when he saw what book she was reading.
"Yes?" It came out like a question.
"Why didn't you get her number; she looked into you"
"Um, because I don't have a phone" He answered, for the first time since becoming a god sounding like his mortal self. Hermes reached in his pocket and shoved one in Percy's hands. It was a sleek blue iphone (Percy didn't even know they did them.) He was then smacked on the shoulder by Hermes and told to 'go get her'. Whatever that meant he wasn't sure.
Hello guys! Please don't hate on Kasey; she will be eventually a quite important person in his godly life. OK, so now I've cleared that up…
What do you think? You like? Any scenes you'd like to read?
