I´m back with a new chapter

This Chapter will be a bit longer then usually as i haven´t uploded one for a while now and as i have some computer problems it will probably be a while until i post another one.

Anyway...This chapter contains the Garden Party and *Drum Roll* Hogwarts...Yes Harry and co. will finally go to Hogwarts. Be Ready for some suprises at the Sorting ceremony :P

Harry Potter a different life

Chapter 19

The Days until the Garden party went by fast. The Children lerned more Dancing and etiquette from their Grandparents, flew around with James and Harry learnd more about Potions and Herbology from Lily. On the Day of the Party Harry got up very early. When he got into the Kitchen he saw dozen of House-elfs not only preparing breakfast but also food for the Party. Harry quickly grabbed a plate and mug and sat down next to Lily and Charlotte. "Why are the House-elfs cooking?" Harry asked.

"Because of the amount of food to prepare. It has to be done by noon" Lily explained. Harry nooded. After Breakfast Charlus took the boys and Dores took the girls to their rooms to help them get dressed. Harry was dressed in a blue polo-shirt and white pants. His hair was still messy. Marc was wearing a cream colored shirt with black pants. His hair slicked back. Emily was wearing a red summer dress with her hair open and Charlotte was wearing a yellow summer dress with her hair in a ponytail. James and Lily had a partner look. James was weraing a green Polo-shirt with black pants and Lily was wearing a green summer dress. Dorea was wearing a cream colored summer dress and Charlus was wearing a cream colored sweater with cream colored pants. All men had the Family crest over their hearts. At 12:45pm they were all standing in the entrance hall. The guest were due to arrive at 1pm. First were the Black/Bones. Then came Remus. After him came the Weasley and Logbottoms. To everyones surprise James had also invited his old team mates and managers. The Tonks family came after them. The last one to arrive was Minerva. They all went to the Garden. There were many white round tables standing around and in the middle was a dance floor. They could hear soft music in the backround. The Children all sat down at one of the bigger tables. Harry was sitting next to Ginny and Neville. Next to Ginny was Emily and next to her was Liz. Next to Liz was Percy, who was next to Fred. Next to Fred was George and between George and Neville was Susan. Some of James old Team mates and Managers had Children as well but they were younger so they sat with Marc and Charlotte at a smaller table. The Potter Adults were sitting together with Sirius, Amelia, Augusta, Minerva and Arthur. When everyone was seated and the chatter died down, Charlus stood up.

"Welcome Friends" he started and looked at the Weasleys, Longbottoms, Quidditch team and Minerva "and Family" he added and looked at the Blacks, Bones and Tonks Family. "Welcome to Potters Castle. This Party was arranged so that we could realx and get together after everything that has happend...so have fun and dig in" He said and as soon as the words left his mouth the food appeared on the Tables. after they had eaten the guests stared to mingle. James took Harry and together they walked over to a girl with bubble gum pink hair. Next to her was a Woman with long, dark brown, curly hair. Harry asoumed that they were mother and daugther.

"Ah...Andromeda it is so good to see you again...is that Nymphadora" James said. Andromeda nodded while Nymphadora looked a bit angry.

"Yes it is" Andromeda said smiling.

"I have a smal request to you Nymphadora" James said smiling.

"Okay but could you please call me Tonks...I am not very fond of my name" Tonks said.

"Of course. OKay ...well...you see Harry here i a Metamorphmagus and had a block on it for years...we were hoping that you could teach him a bit?" James asked. Tonks smiled at this.

"Of course i would love to...but i don´t have much time as i will start my Auror training in September" Tonks said.

"That is no problem...i will make up a schedule and send it to you okay?" James said smiling and Tonks nodded. Harry then went back to his friends. James excuesed himself from the Tonks Family and went over to his old team mates and Managers. The Garden Party was a huge success. The Cildren, James and Sirius played a round of Quidditch against James old Team and Harry found himself quite often on the Dancefloor with Emily, Susan, Liz but mostly Ginny. They all had fun. When Harry was getting ready for bed he remembert about his abilities and decided to learn more about them tomorrow. When he got up the next morning he quickly had breakfast and then went back to his room. He sat down on the couch and starred into the empty fireplace. He decided to start with his contact lenses. They had three features. He started with the one that let him see through Walls. He stared to concentrate. after a few minutes he could see the Bathroom. It was still blurry but he knew once he trained more he could see more and further. After a while of training he got a bit tired so he started to read his Transfiguration textbook. Soon it was Lunch time. When Harry sat down at the Tabel his father pulled out a pice of parcment.

"Okay Harry as you got a bit more then two weeks until Hogwarts. You still have a lot to learn so i have made a schedule for you" James said and handed the parcment over to Harry.

Monday: Training with Tonks from 10am till 12pm and Potions with Lily from 1pm till 3pm

Tuesday: Transfiguration with James from 10am till 12pm and Defence with Sirius/Remus from 1pm till 3pm

Wendsday: Charms with Lily from 10am till 12pm and Dance lessons with Charlus/Dorea from 1pm till 3pm

Thursday: Etiquette lessons with Charlus/Dorea from 10am till 12pm and Herbology with Lily from 1pm till 3pm

Friday: Customs and Family lessons with Charlus/Dorea frpm 10am till 12pm and Fwakes/Godrics lessons from 1pm till 3pm (If he has time)

"Of course you wil all have to attend the Dance, etiquette, Custom and Family lessons" Charlus said and all the Children nodded. When harry was back in his room he got out the invisibility cloak and walked over to marcs room. The Door was open so he walked in.

"Hey Marc...could you help me with something?"He asked.

"Yeah of course...what do you need help with?" Marc asked from his couch.

"I want to test out my contact lenses. One of the features that they have is seeing invisible things/people so i just need you to put the cloak on" Harry said and Marc nodded and Harry handed him the cloak. As soon as Marc was under the cloak Harry started concentratin of the feature. Like with seeing through Walls it was still blurry...but he could see Marc. After an hour of training Harry left again. Harry spend the rest of the day reading either his schoolbooks or Godrics journals. The Weeks until Hogwarts went over fast. Harry and his siblings learnd a lot and their friends were over twice a week. Godric also came every friday...but sadly he didn´t had more news about Dumbledore. They celebrated Percys, Charlus and Emilys Birthdays, where Emily got a bunny as a Present. The night before Hogwarts Harry couldn´t sleep. He was excited. On september 1th Harry got up early. His Family was already sitting at the Table in the Kitchen. Luckly Harry had already packed all his stuff last night. The left for the Train at 10am though the floo. Once there they quickly found the others.

"Okay Harry always do you best okay...and don´t get into trouble. Listen to the teachers" Lily said while trying to flatten his hair. She then pulled him into a tight hug "I Love you Harry" she said a bit sad.

"I Love you too Mum. I will write once a week...i promise" Harry said. Harry then gave everyone else a big Hug goodbye and then went to find a compartment with Neville and Susan. Fred and George helped them with their trunks and then went to find their friend Lee. Percy was already gone by then. They opend the window and waved to their familys. Five minutes before the train was due to leave they saw Ron and Molly coming though the Barrier. They all groaned.

"Hopefully he won´t sit with us" Neville said.

"If he tries we will simply kick him out" Susan said. Soon the train started. They all waved once more and sat down. Harry got out one of the textbooks and started reading. Not hal an hour later the compartment door opened.

"Can i sit with you...everywhere else is full" the heard a voice and realized that it was Ron Weasley talking. Before they could answer he sat down next to Harry.

"Excuse me...but did we allow you to sit down? I think not so could you please leave" Susan said.

"And where am i supposed to sit...like i said everywhere else is full and i am Harrys best friend" Ron said.

"No your not and if everywhere else is full then where were you the past half hour...and before you tell me you were looking for a compartment i would like to know where you trunk is" Harry said a little bit angry. Ron turnes Red and left without a word.

"Stupid coward" Neville muttered. Everything stayed quiet after this. When the Sun began to set they saw Draco Malfoy outside their compartment. He was in companionship of two Gorilla-like boys. Draco opened the door.

"Ah there you are Potter...still with Bones i see...ah and with a Longbottom now too. What a shame i thought you would have learnd your ways after your Parents came back but no...still friends with blood traiters. Well you will see how wrong they are if you do i will be glad to help you find the right path" Draco said and left again. Nothing happend after that. They chatted, read books and played games. at around 7pm the arrived at the station. When they got out they heard a voice calling out for the first years. They followed the large man named Hagrid to the shore bake where he told them to get into the boats. Harry, Susan and Neville got into a boat with another girl with bushy brown hair and a book in her hand, who quickly introduced herself as Hermione Granger. The whole time she kept talking about how she read all about Harry and everything about Hogwarts. The yfound her a bit annoying and hoped that they woudn´t be in the same house as her. When they saw Hogwarts they were all in awe. It was beautiful and Harry immediately felt like Home...well it was one of his homes anyway as the heir of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. When the walked in they were greeted by a short man who looked a bit like a Goblin, who Hagrid called Professor Flitwick.

"Welcome to Hogwarts" Flitwick started " The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house common four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honour. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours. The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarted yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting." Her eyes lingered for a moment on Neville's cloak, which was fastened under his left ear, and on Ron's smudged nose. Harry nervously tried to flatten his hair."I will return when we are ready for you," said Professor Flitwickl. "Please wait quietly." and with that he left. In the backround you could hear Ron talking about a Troll that they had to fight and Hermione was muttering about spells that she knew. Harry, Susan and Neville were laughing quietly because they knew about how the sorting will happen...thanks to Godrics Journals. After five minutes Flitwick returned. "The Sorting Ceremony's about to start." he said and led the inside. When they were standing infront of the teachers they saw an old hat sitting on a stool. Suddenly the hat opened its eyes and mouth and started to sing.

"Oh you may not think I'm pretty,

But don't judge on what you see,

I'll eat myself if you can find

A smarter hat than me.

You can keep your bowlers black,

Your top hats sleek and tall,

For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat

And I can cap them all.

There's nothing hidden in your head

The Sorting Hat can't see,

So try me on and I will tell you

Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor,

Where dwell the brave at heart,

Their daring, nerve, and chivalry

Set Gryffindors apart;

You might belong in Hufflepuff,

For I'm a Thinking Cap!" the finished and everyone clapped and cheered.

"Okay...when i call your name you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted" he said and pulled out a list.

"Hannah Abbott" he said and a short girl with blond hair walked up and put the hat on.

"Hufflepuff" the hat said after a few minutes. Cheeres where heard from the table furthest on the left side. She happily walked over to them.

"Susan Bones" Flitwick called and Susan nervously walked up to him. she put the hat on.

After a short while it called "Hufflepuff" Susan smiled bright and walked over to the Hufflepuffs and sat down next to Hannah. Harry and Neville both smiled at her. Next was a boy named Terry Boot who was sorted into Ravenclaw. harry cheered for him as it was the right thing to do as a heir of Ravenclaw. next was a girl named Mandy Brocklehurst(Harry and Neville had to laugh at that) who was placed into Ravenclaw as well. Again Harry cheered. After her came a girl named Lavander Brown who was the first Gryffindor. Harry cherred for her as well. Then came the first Slytherin. A girl named Millicent Bulstrode. They watched some more students geting sorted. One of them was that Hermione girl who was sorted into Gryffindor.. After a girl named Sue Li was sorted into Ravenclaw it was Nevilles turn. Harry gave him a quick pat on the back as he walked up to the hat. It took the hat a while until the hat finally called "Hufflepuff" Neville happily put off the hat and walked over to the Hufflepuff table and sat down across from Susan. Harry cheered for him loudly. Now it was Dracos turn. He proudly walked up to the hat and put it on with a small sneer on his face. To everyones suprise the Hat did not immediately put him into Slytherin. It felt like hours past until the hat finally placed Draco into Hufflepuff. To say everyone was shocked was an understatment. Draco looked ready to kill. It took a while until Flitwick was able to get Draco to sit down on his right Table as he tried to sit down with the Slytherins. He kept screming that his Father will hear about this and that they will all be sacked. it took a while more to get everyone to calme down. After four more students were sorted, two of them were twins, it was Harrys turn. He nervously walked up to the Hat. When he put it on he could hear a voice talking to him.

"Ah Mr. Potter nice to meet you. If you would please remove your Occlumens shields so i can sort you?" the hat asked nicely.

"Excuse me but who are you?" Harry asked with his mind.

"Ah i don´t have a name but i was made by your ancestor Godric Gryffindor with the help of Rowena Ravenclaw. he has informt me of everything that went on. When Dumbledore was still here he told me what i should do with you but i would have never listened to him. To sort you i will have to look into your mind but don´t worry i won´t tell anyone what i see" the hat told him and Harry lowerd his shields. After another while the had finally decided where to put him. "Gryffindor" the hat called out. Loud cheers were heard from the Gryffindor table and Neville and susan also cheered loudly for him. Harry happily sat down next to Fred and a guy named Seamus Finnegan.

"Great Harry...no let´s hope that Ron won´t get sorted into our house" Fred said as he clapped Harry on the back. After a girl named Lisa Turpin was sorted into Ravenclaw there were only two boys left. One of them was a dark skined with black short hair and the other one was Ron. Flitwick looked at the list again.

"Ronald Weasley" he called and Ron walked up to the hat. It took a bit but the hat finally decidet to put him into Gryffindor. Fred, Geroge and Harry all groaned at this but luckly Harry had his private quarters. Ron tried to sit down next to Harry but ended up sitting next to Hermione and a guy named Dean Thomas. The last one to be sorted was Blaise Zabini, who was sorted into Slytherin. After Flitwick put away the hat and stool McGonagall stood up.

"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts. I don´t want to say much as i know you all must be pretty hungry so dig in" she said and food started to appear. As soon as it appeard Ron started to grab some chicken and started eating like a pig. Everyone looked at him with a disgusted look on their faces. You could hear him talking with his mouth full saying how he was Harry Potters best friend. Lukyl everyone seemed to have read the artikels in the Prophet and didn´t believe him. They all ate and chatted happily and soon dinner was over. When the food was gone McGonagall stood up again. "Again Welcome to Hogwarts. I would like to remind you that the Forbidden Forest is just that Forbidden...for all students. Also you are not allowed to use your wands in the Hallways. Also the corridor on the right hand side on the Third floor is forbidden for all of you. I also would like to welcome five new Professors to our staff. Andromeda Tonks will take be teaching History" she said and Andromeda stood up and waved. " Next we have Helen Finster in Potions" A midaged woman with long blond hair stood up" Then we have Thomas Randall in Transfiguration" an older man with short white hair and round glasses stood up" then there is Bertram Rich in Wizrading Customs " again a older man stood up but he had long silver hair" and last but not least we have Remus Lupin in Defense" she said and he stood up. Harry, Fred, George, Neville and Susna were quite shocked at this. Why hadn´t he told them about ti? "Now Prefects please show the First years to the commonrooms...Good night everyone" she added and dissmissed everyone. Percy got up and called out all the Gryffindor First years. They all got into line and followed him except Ron who was trailing far behind. The Commonroom was on the seventh floor. On the way up there Percy informed them about the school rules, moving staircases, portraits and how to get to importent location like the infirmary, libary and teachers offices. They stopped infront of a portrait of an older woman.

"To enter the commonroom you will need a certain passwort. The Passwort shall be only known to our house. Please remember it as you will need it for the rest of the year. You can get the passwort from either one of the Prefects or the Headboy or girl, if one of them is from our house. The Passwort for this year is Caput Draconis" as soon as Percy said that the Portrait opened and they saw a circular hole. When they climbed through the hole they landed in a circular room with lots of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board where school notices, ads, lost posters, etc. can be posted. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace dominates one wall. "Okay the entrace to the dormitories is on the Wall across the entrance. The girls on the right, boys on the left. Your stuff has already been brought up there...good night" Percy said and left. While all the other first years started to walk up to the staris Harry stayed behind. When everyone was out of sight Harry walked up to the wall on the right side of the entrance hall and placed his hand on the wall(he had read that this was the way to the private quarters). After a few seconds there was a small hole which Harry climbed though. As soon as the hole closed Ron Weasley appeared back in the Common room.

"Harry? Harry mate where are you?" Ron called several times until he finally went back to his bed. Harry, who was in his quarters didn´t hear anything of it. The Quarters weren´t big but big enough to have a small gathering with friends. Next to the entrance was a huge Fireplace with a roaring fire in it. In front of it was a big red couch and armchairs. There were a few smaller tables and bookcases. on the wall to his left side was a corridor. Harry walked in to it and saw tzwo more doors on the right wall. The first one he opened was a small study with a dark wooden desk standing in the middle of the room with three chairs. Behind it was a big window from where you had a beautyful view over the grounds. Next to the window were big bookshelfs and a workbench for potions on the right wall. Harry saw that all of his things where allready here as he saw one of Godrics Journals was placed on the desk. Harry walked back out and opened the door right next to the study. It was his bedroom. There was a big Kingsized bed made out of dark wood with red beddings. Over the bed was a big window. On the right side of the room was a big wardrobe. When harry looked into it he saw that his clothes where already in it. Now he thought that it was a really nice idea to have one of his House-elfs to accompany him. There was another door on the left wall. When Harry walked through it he saw a bathroom with a big white bathtube that looked more like a small swimmingpool. Realizing that he was quite tired he quickly changed and got ready for bed. he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
