Hi guys! Allot of you have been wondering about the pairing of this story. I am here to say that I'd like to keep you all guessing because in life there's no sure answer to anything really, what way to go at a crosswords, who to be with, anything…
Hopefully by the end of the story (or maybe in a sequel?) there will be a crystal clear pairing.
Sorry for rambling on a bit,
Pink miff
Percy
It had been about two weeks since the library and Percy was nearly finished his training. Well… his training for this year, anyway. In reality he had to train for about five years. He hadn't seen Annabeth, Grover or any more of his mortal friends since that time at camp. It was strange, like he was on one side of a thick, invisible wall and they were on the other.
He had learnt to control his forms and was currently making his way to Aphrodite's temple to get his first ever godly job, why they asked her to tell him he didn't know.
When he reached the temple he looked up at it, reminiscing on Barbie as he looked at the pink structure. He took a deep breath and –
The door flew open, Aphrodite's arm grabbed him and jerked him inside.
"Perseus Jackson! What are you wearing?" She all but shrieked, looking distastefully at his clothes. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt and red chinos.
"Uh… Clothes, I would hope" He answered, not seeing anything wrong with what he was wearing.
"No, no, no… These aren't clothes, these are… Trash!" She exclaimed, picking at his clothes, then sighing dramatically.
"Hey!" She ignored his protests as she dragged him into a giant hall of clothes. She grabbed various clothes and suddenly they appeared on his body. They were ripped jeans and a black t-shirt with howling grey wolves on. She grabbed a wolf tooth chain and it appeared on his neck. She breathed a sigh of relief, messed up his hair even more and dragged him to another room, sticking him down on a love seat while she said something about skin tones. Women never ceased to confuse him…
She looked at him for a bit, licking her lips. He didn't not notice her eyes skimming his body, making him want to run as far as he could, then be sick. This goddess was old enough to be his grandmothers great grandmothers great grandmothers great grandmothers mother. And now she was checking him out.
"Now Perseus" She licked her lips once again and smirked "Your first jobs easy-"
"What is it?" He asked, rather impatiently. She glared at him for interrupting.
"Well… Us Olympians are having another post war meeting and Dionysus is going to be away from camp for today, so being that all the campers completely trust you, as do we. You'll be watching over camp with Chiron while he is gone."
He nodded, grinning. She leaned in, and he leaned back only to make her lean further forward until she was almost on his lap. She cupped a hand to her mouth and whispered in his ear.
"Also… try to spruce up the romance, could you? With you gone there's nothing juicy"
"O-ok" He stuttered, trying to back away from the goddess. "I better go then"
She grinned at him.
"Bye then!"
"Let me walk you-" She stopped mid-sentence. She was alone in her temple. Perseus Jackson had flashed out.
-BACK WITH PERCY-
Percy looked around, puzzled as to where he escaped to. He was a few blocks away from where his mom used to work; the sweets shop. He knew the place well.
After a second of hesitation he decided to go and buy some of their blue sweets. Maybe that would take his mind off of being a god with all the added abilities and whatnot. He knew that he really could just flash some into his hands, but he just wanted to feel normal for once.
He took his time to get there, buy the sweets then make his way to camp. By the time he got to that empty country road the minotaur had chased him down years ago (what sweet memories) he got bored of walking normally, so just flashed up to Thalias tree.
Walking down to the big house he wondered what Chiron would say. Would he treat him the same? Or how he treated the other gods?
Sucking in a deep breath he walked into the big house only to find a counsellors meeting being held. Everybody was there. Annabeth. The Stoll twins. Clarisse. Will Solace. Chiron. And all the others. As the door creaked open every head turned in his direction.
"Hi guys, I'm not interrupting anything- am I?" He smiled at them, not missing how the Aphrodite girls swooned. He felt ripples of surprise radiating off of every one of them. They weren't expecting him. Hadn't they been told. The only person in the room who seemed to know was Chiron.
Chiron walked round the table to him, smiling but wary.
"Perseus, you're a bit late…" He said, seeming scared Percy would get smoke out the ears and blow up like lots of the other gods at him saying this. He laughed it off, pulling out a bag of sweets from his pocket.
"Oh yeah, that… I stopped for sweets, sorry" he smiled sheepishly and held out the bag to the nearest demigod, Will Solace. Hesitantly Will took some and slowly ate them, not missing the fact that all of them were blue.
Percy strides over to the seat he used to always sit in at meetings, next to Annabeth and casually slumped in it, like old times. He grinned at her.
"You know what's great about being a god, wise girl? You can eat all you want but you never get fat! Amazing huh?"
It was at this moment his rein at camp half-blood began...
