Chapter 3: Folding
Sokka now at the age of fifteen was waiting for the next wave of Fire Nation soldiers to try to get through the forest. Sokka had been making living as a mercenary for the last three years. Sokka's most recent job was working with a group calling themselves the Freedom Fighters near a small Fire Nation Colony village that was being used as a staging ground for attacks on Omashu. For the last three days, Sokka has been preventing the Fire Nation from advancing onto to Omashu. Sokka had bought the younger Freedom Fighters three days to get to Omashu. He wished they had let that obsessive asshole Jet stay to help him hold back the pursuing troops and possibly die with him. However, the Freedom Fighters were too loyal to the disturbed boy.
Sokka was just lucky he noticed the smell of the blasting jelly and neutralized it before it was used. You see blasting jelly after three months becomes more powerful but also greatly unstable. It also begins to smell sweeter and sweeter when as it becomes increasingly unstable.
The smell coming off the jelly smelled like pure sugar and would easily blow a dam up but it could also be set off the by the small amount of shaking a tundra tank makes as it moves. There was a newer more stable mixture of blasting jelly being used by the Fire Nation now. The old recipe of blasting jelly almost totally phased out. The last batch of the old recipe was made about five months ago. The new recipe can also be mixed faster than the old recipe making it even safer as it can be transported in the form two inert liquids that when mixt had the effect five times more potent than the old recipe.
The way to neutralize the old recipe of blasting jelly was a mixture of water calcium and oddly sugar. When the dam did not blow, Jet was so shocked and angry with Sokka that he attacked the mercenary. Sokka easily beat Jet back shattering his twin hook swords as well. Sokka then sent the Freedom Fighters to Omashu with a white-lotus pai sho tile with the words: 'Help them' written on it. He also gave them his pass into the city and instructions to give the tile to King Bumi. Sokka figured they had been in the city for at least a day by now.
Sokka pulls out his sword, a wen stone, and two bottles of oil. Sokka puts some oil on the stone then starts to sharpen his sword. Sokka's sword was a broad double edge bastard sword with a core of snow steel and black edge of meteor steel. Its c-shaped guard carved above the swords leather grip was the skull an Asian style lion carved from meteorite iron. The pummel was another Asian dragon's skull. However, the mouth could open to revel five-inch retractable spike.
Sokka knew it would be dawn soon and when the sun rose, he would start his final attack on the staging camp. Sokka took advantage of the Fire Nation bender arrogance in being near unbeatable when the sun was up to his advantage allowing him to sleep during the night. Thanks to Sokka's conditioning he only needed to sleep every other day for about five hours a night.
Sokka checked the edge of the sword finding it sharp enough for his taste's Sokka oils his sword before sheathing it. Sokka then sharpens his double headed axe witch had a golden head made from rot iron with a snow steel inlay of a tigers skull. The axe had a handle made from snow steel that is wrapped in leather made from lion-deer hide. The axe was balanced in such a way that when thrown it would to return to him after cleaving through several soldiers when thrown. Finishing with his axe Sokka puts, it into its sheath, which was strapped to the small of his back. The Water Tribe replaced axes like the one Sokka used with the boomerang shortly after the spirit wars ended.
With dawn, quickly approaching Sokka stands up straps his sword to his waist and puts on his short sleeve shirt. Sokka then grabs his armor consisting of a chest plate made from chain mail covered in sea serpent leather protecting his sides. To protect his organs and Sokka's armor used shaped pieces of steel plate laminated in sea serpent leather. The armpits are sealed with sealskin leather to prevent irritation since the suit lacked pauldrons (shoulder armor). Each piece of Sokka's armor a removable lining made from a cotton wool for comfort and to easy cleaning. Sokka used the cotton wool blend instead of silk do to personal preference. He never really liked the smoothness of silk preferring the more durable cotton wool blend.
Sokka puts on a pair of snow iron gauntlets lion skulls covering the hands. Gauntlets are made with a mix of chain and plate mail for maximum protection and mobility. Sokka then puts a pair of plate mail shin and thigh guards.
Sokka then puts on his helmet that is shaped like the upper jaw of a saber-tooth-tiger (saber-tooth cat hybrid tiger) skull. Most of Sokka's armor was either black or white instead of the normal water tribe blue and black.
Next Sokka grabs his costume made faceplate and looks at it for a moment. The faceplate resembled the bottom jaw of the same animal saber-tooth tiger to match his helmet. It had a visor of red laminated glass lens that fully concealed his eyes and gave him a sinister look. When placed in his helmet it makes him look like a living tiger-man thanks to how he painted his armor. Sokka has upgraded his faceplate over the three years since he first constructed it. The current model had a filter system made from the gills of a sea serpent allowing total filtration of air born toxins and limited underwater breathing for about an hour before the need to surface for a normal man. Sokka could hold his breath for almost fifteen minutes at a time without brain damage. So he could stay down for over three hours.
Sokka slid his faceplate into place inside his helmet he decided to go on the offence today so he could leave the area. He starts for the enemy camp.
Temporary Fire Nation camp…
The soldiers stared in shock an over-sized tank train approached. The colonel was forced to call for reinforcements when the man known only as the Faceless Tiger had killed over two hundred soldiers and wounding one hundred more. There were only fifty able bodied men left. Their original mission was to secure the forest road for the attack on Omashu as well as capturing the members of the guerrilla group of children protecting terrorizing the area. That is when they first encountered the Faceless Tiger. He killed a hundred soldiers, wounded seventy-five soldiers with his strange "bending" and weapons.
The commander of the camp is shocked when six girls and three woman step out of the train. The oldest girl was sixteen, who was about five foot five with black hair in an ox horn style and gold eyes. This is Mai the Dark Lady of the Thousand Flying Blades, because of her habit of wearing only black and dark red clothes and her mastery of throwing weapons. She was also the girlfriend of crown prince Zuko. The girl's nearly d-cup breasts were concealed from view by her black and dark red armor, but it did show off her large peach shaped ass. The armor is tailored made to fit Mai's fighting style and given to her by Zuko. Mai was of Fire Nation descent.
The Next girl was a bit shorter standing at about five foot three inches with grey eyes. The Girl wears her long brown hair held in a long braid at the back of her head. This is Lady Ty Lee, The Pink Bain of Benders as she usually wears all pink and her near mastery of chi blocking. The only move Ty lee did not know was the Dim Mak: The touch of death. Ty lee refused to learn to perform this but did learn were to guard against the fatal touch. Ty lee was a beautiful girl with large round perky b-cup breasts and a cute round little bum. Her light and dark pink leather armor did little to weigh her down. Ty lee was one-fourth air nomad and a low-level energy bender. Ty lee was also too many males arousal the most flexible girl in the world and could be found walking on her hands more than her legs outside of battle and training.
The shortest and youngest of the girls stepped out next; standing at four foot and one quarter inches was Toph Beifong, The Blind Bandit, Avatar Aang's Earth Bending Teacher, The First Metal Bender, and the self-proclaimed and so far proven Greatest Earth Bender in the World. Toph wears custom-made Earth Kingdom style armor is painted in the dark red and green of the Fire Nation Earth Kingdom Colonies. Toph's long black hair was held in a large bun at the back of her head. Her head is covered by a basket like hat. This is the youngest of the girls at twelve years old and had dull jade colored eyes. She is also blind.
The next person to step out of the train was the first woman. The woman was five foot six inches tall and dressed the same as Toph. The woman had the smallest breasts of the three woman at only a c-cup, but her large onion shaped ass, large round hips and long well shaped legs more than made up for it. The woman had bright jade green eyes and long black hair done up in a bun at the top of her head. This is Poppy Beifong the Bandit's Mother, The Bone Mender, and Second Greatest Earth Bender in The World.
Poppy is also a widow. The Earth Kingdom military killed her husband when he refused to continue manufacturing narcotic-stimulants for the military. She and her daughter joined the Fire Nation war effort after escaping from Gaoling after Poppy would have been raped by her former countrymen if she did not use earth bending to defend herself. Poppy dating a famous Fire Nation swordsman named Piandao. Poppy was the tallest woman of the group.
Next to step out was a girl standing at five feet five inches tall. She had the blue eyes of the Water Tribe. Despite being only sixteen, she had white hair, which clashed with her chocolate colored skin. This is Yue, the Lunar Maiden. Yue ware the robes of a southern water tribe bender despite being from the Northern Tribe. Yue's robe was open revealing the cleavage of her large d cup breasts. Her large round bubble butt was nicknamed The Moon by the male members of the armed forces. Yue had nice long legs with wide hips. Yue is tied with Mai as the oldest of the girls at sixteen. Yue ware her hair in an elaborate bun that contained two loops that and had two brads one on each side of her head.
Yue had ran from the Northern Water Tribe after she was involved in an arranged marriage with handsome man named Hahn. Yue would have stayed in the Northern Water Tribe if she did not catch her husband to be cheating on her with three whores. That was two year ago. Yue was a master water bender healer and master of the most aggressive of the southern of water bending styles. She ware a kimono like blue and pink battle armor.
The next girl to come out was also of water tribe descent but had brown hair and stood at five foot two and a half inches. This is Katara the Painted Lady and daughter of fire lord Ozai's right hand man chief Hakoda. At fourteen Katara had b-cup breasts and a nice mid-sized apple shaped butt. She was also dating Avatar Aang. She wears her hair in a more Fire Nation like style of half knot with her long wavy hair falling down her back. She is one of the best healers in the Southern Water Tribe. she was dressed in light armor.
Katara had convinced Avatar Aang to side with the Fire Nation after she found him on a fishing trip with her friends locked in an iceberg. Aang initially decided against participating in the war and only sided with the Fire Nation when he found out that they did spare most of the children of his people along with the woman of the eastern and western air temples. The remaining Air Nomads intermarried the people of the Fire Nation and established the Wind Villages to practice the deadly art of wind bending. Aang is the last user of the passive art of air bending now.
Next to step out of the transport was the last member of the Southern Water Tribe. This woman bears a close resemblance to Katara looking like an older version of the girl. This is Kya Lady of Water and Katara's mother. Kya possess a pair of large round e-cup breasts and a large round bubble butt. Kya was also dress in water bender robes with no armor. Kya was five foot five inches tall. Kya had the largest breasts of the three woman.
Next to step out was a girl of Fire Nation descent standing at five foot two inches tall. The girl has her long brown hair up in a tight top knot held in a four point gold crown with pair of dagger like bangs. This is Azula princess of the Fire Nation and the Wingless Dragon. She has small round c-cup sized breasts and her large heart shaped ass was the best of looking of the girls. Azula had a somewhat sadistic personality but she also a kind side to her. Azula had nice wide hips and nice legs. Azula's normally brown eyes were now the gold of a high-level fire bender.
The last person to step of the tank train was a beautiful Fire Nation woman with long brown in a half knot at the top of her head in held in a five-point crown. This is Ursa Mistress of the Blue Flame and the Fire Lady of the Fire Nation. Ursa like the other woman looked like her daughter but had softer features. Ursa had large DD-cup breasts, wide hips, a large heart shaped ass and long shapely legs. Ursa's ass was voted as the best in the Fire Nation. Ursa was a kind woman but if you made her angry, she became a sadistic monster. Both Ursa and Azula were dressed in form fitting fire bender armor. Ursa was also the reason her daughter's armor did not hide her body like Ozai wanted it to and is the shortest of the woman at five foot four.
The six girls are called the Battle Angels led by Azula; the three women are known The Lovely Trio lead by Ursa. When the two groups worked together, the Fire Nation officially calls them the Lovely Angles. Together both the men of the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation feared them, well the woman of the nations looked up to the group. They were also the most elite fighting force in the Fire Nation and Ursa was in command of the full group. As some of the sexist woman on Midgard, some of the members of the Fire Nation military soldiers called the combined group the 'Nine pinups'.
The group did not like this despite the fact that the Trio had posed for a (non-nude) pinup calendar along with several of the beautiful woman of the armed forces. The Lovely Trio also regularly posed in the popular Maidens of Battle a pinup magazine printed to raise the morale of the male troops. The trio also forced the men in their life to poise in 'Maidens Men' for the female troops.
"What was the Fire Lord thinking sending the Nine Pinups here instead of the tundra tank corps the commander asked for?" One of the ten men sent to meet the tank train says aloud.
The man suddenly found himself standing alone as the other men quickly hid behind the tank train or any other available cover. The next thing the man knew was pain as he is set on fire by two streams of blue fire. A large chunk of steel made from his armor as a bolt hit his left knee crushed his balls. Two ice projectiles pierced his shoulders before he is frozen in place by a wall of water. He was grateful when a pink blur rendered him num. The last thing the foolish man sees is the large rock falling on his head.
"Does anyone else want to call us the Nine Pinups?" Ursa asks as steps on the corps.
"No mam." The men tell Ursa.
"Then take us to the commander." Azula orders the men.
In the commander's tent a few minutes later
"Well it seems you have a problem commander. Lucky for you Instead of damaging the forest and risking repeat of the Hei Bai incident, the Fire Lord decided to send us in to stop this man with what you described as weird bending. However, the Battle Angels will go in at take him down. We will observe and only step in if they cannot handle it." Ursa tells the commander shocking the girls.
"Really mom/my lady/aunty/fire-top?" the girls ask the last being Ty lee
"It's your show girls." Ursa says as she steps back from the map table.
The group hears the start to panic and yell, "It's the Faceless Tiger".
"Toph what is going on?" Azula asks her subordinate.
"Some guy is moving faster than Ty lee did that time she tried coffee is running into the center of the camp killing several of the soldiers." Toph says in shock.
Out side
As Sokka stabbed through a soldier, Sokka released his sword as he moved fast enough to appear as a black streak as a soldier thrust a spear were he was standing. From his new position, Sokka grabs his large broad axe and throws it at the soldier in front of him cutting the soldier in half. Sokka moves forward to grab his sword sheathing it as he catches his axe on its return trip. He had made his way into the center of the camp when he had to dodge two blasts of blue fire.
"The Wingless Dragon and Lady of the Azure Flame I presume. I was not expecting you two to show up. I assume the rest of the Lovely Angles are here as well. I liked your centerfold from the recent calendar mam. It was a very tastefully picture of you. You looked very nice in the black and red one piece swimsuit." Sokka says his mask making his voice have a mechanical pitch to it.
As he faces the mother daughter combo Sokka was glad his that his helmet covered his entire face preventing them from seeing his blush.
"Another man who thinks woman are sex objects, you will die like the rest." Azula says with a savage glare.
Ever since her mother started teaching her about herbs and herbal-medicine, the two had grown much closer. Ursa eave passed on her Fire bending forms to Azula.
Sokka suddenly jumps disappearing in a bluer as Ty lee tries to take him out from behind.
"I did not say that all woman are sex objects. Your mother is the leader of the Lovely Trio and has one of the highest kill counts for either a man or woman in the Fire Nation Army. However, I do have to say you are far more beautiful than your mother is; your name is Azula right? Your recorded is almost better than your mother's record and will probably surpass hers by the time the war ends. Besides on the battle field it does not matter what gender a soldier is just that they are a soldier." Sokka says with a hidden smile.
Sokka then disappears form site as Yue launches several ice blades were he was a moment ago. Sokka uses his axe as a shield to block Mai's barrage of crossbow bolts. Toph takes this moment to try to break Sokka's axe but he splits it in half his and Toph's had is shredded against the leather of Sokka's sea serpent armor as he bends down head butting the girl in the face hard enough to knock her out.
Sokka throws his axes at the incoming Poppy and Kya hitting them with the blunt part of the axe heads the poppy's leg is broken along with several of Kya's ribs. There injury's take the woman out of out of the battle. Sokka was not able to move in time to avoid the strike sent at him by Ty lee.
Fortuity for Sokka his armor was just think enough to prevent his chi from being blocked by the glancing hit Ty lee scored. Sokka draws his sword right hitting Ty lee with the pummel and the hidden push blade in the handle pierces her liver before sliding his sword into the sheath again. He quickly bends and caught a three-blade sai in his right hand and throws it back at Mai imbedding it into her shoulder near her heart. Sokka did this intentionally to keep the water benders off him for now as they would be busy healing the girls. Sokka noticed that the other soldiers are hanging back as Ursa and Azula re-entered the fight.
'There holding the soldiers back to take me after I'm weakened good strategy. I will need to end this fast and get out of here.' Sokka thinks as he takes ahold of his sword in an Iaido starting stance. Sokka only used four set stances Sokka used and though are only starting stances. This was because the Cimmeriain fighting philosophy was to be formless and unpredictable in battle. Legend said that they could strike with their sword with a thrust into the head well lying flat on their back with their sword in there sheath.
Sokka surges forward drawing his sword as he got up close with Azula slashing at Azula's neck.
Azula
It was only thanks to her training with Ty lee that she avoided losing her head to the slash. Her top knot falls to the ground her hair had been cut just under her headpiece the large topknot fell to the ground. Azula new neck length hair falls around her head.
'Fuck that would have taken off my head instead of just my hair. That mother fucker ruined my hair; it took me a long time to grow it out that long.' Azula thinks as she barely dodged the one handed follow up slash that removes her topknot. Azula had become a bit more feminine after spending time with more girls her age and older woman but she was still a tomboy at heart.
In response, Azula sends a fire kick at Sokka's sword that is hot enough to instantly tern the blade into a red-hot blade of pure plasma I mean molten metal. Azula knew there was a rain barrel to the left of her. Therefore, Azula grabs Sokka's arm she forced to use the fire jet technique to force Sokka's sword arm into the barrel quenching the sword in the water. Azula got lucky and most of Sokka's sword blade shatters leavening a foot of the blade four-foot blade left. She stairs in shock as a blade pops out of the left gauntlet as Sokka's fist closes in on her face. The tip of the black blade pierces her skin just at the outer, lower edge of her right eye. Blood splatters on the ground.
