"Five minutes Lora!" a runner calls down to me. I nod and give him the thumbs up. "You want me to go tell the guys?" he calls back. I take a deep breath and shake my head. "Time for me to man up" I say standing up. "I'll do it." He nods and waves as he runs down the corridor. "You sure about this?" Dolph asks. I nod. "Gotta face him at some point" I say, kissing his head. "No time like the present. I'll catch you guys later, ok?" Lex looks at me warily, finally nodding. "Ok" she says. "I'll wait at gorilla for you after the match." I nod and hug her before heading down the corridor to the locker room. "Suck it up sunshine" I mumble to myself before knocking loudly on the door.
"Fuck sake! Leave the door on it's hin... Lora" Jon says, throwing the door open. "Five minutes" I say, turning my back on him and walking back down the corridor. I hear him yelling after me but tune it out, concentrating on getting away from him as fast as I can. Tuning him out also means tuning out the sound of footsteps running after me. A cry of surprise escapes as I'm spun around and thrown against the wall. "Damn Lora" Colby groans. "Have you gone deaf? I've been calling you all the way down the corridor! We're going in from the other side of the building tonight, you're going the wrong way." "Shit" I groan. "Sorry Colby. Just, you know, keeping busy." He nods, holding my hand as we walk back along the corridor. Jon and Joe are waiting for us outside the locker room. "Baby girl" Joe says, pushing Jon out of the way and hugging me. I smile. "Hey brother bear" I say, hugging him back. He smiles and walks me along the corridor. "So what's the plan for tonight?" I ask. Joe grins. "Colby and I have a tag match" he says. "Against the Uso's." "But they're faces" I say, frowning. Joe grins, hugging me. "You're picking this up fast baby girl" he says. "We're on a heel turn, again. When you go with Finn, you're gonna be helping our turn. So, get ready to be a heel." I grin. "I love being the bad guy" I say as Jon pushes past us. "Everything always ends up being my fault anyway, may as well take advantage of it." Jon pauses, turning back to face me. "I never said it was your fault Lora" he says. I push past him, looking at Joe. "Did you hear something?" I ask, sticking my fingers in my ears. "Must have had my music too loud at the gym. Damn buzzing in my ears." Joe grins as Jon growls in frustration. "We go out from here" Joe says, pointing at a door. I nod and wait with them until it's time, doing all I can to ignore Jon while he does all he can to get me to notice him. He doesn't have to try, I'm aware of every move he makes, much to my frustration. The way his muscles flex as he does his fingertip push ups, the outline of his ass in those trousers as he squats down in front of me, how he seems to pour the bottle of water over his head in slow motion. Damn, he's fucking hot. But I mustn't think like that. Head must rule, not heart. Finally our music hits and it's time to concentrate on work, not my cheating husband. I nod and follow Joe out, smiling when Colby cuts in behind me.
The match is short and sweet. The heel in me grabs Jey's foot and trips him so Joe can get the pin. Joe winks at me as I get in the ring, raising his and Colby's arms in victory. Naturally, they get booed. "This could be easier than I thought" Joe whispers as we walk back up the steps. I nod, wanting to hurry so I can get changed and get out of the arena. "Are you going out tonight?" Colby asks as we walk back to the locker rooms. I nod. "Think I deserve a drink" I say, hugging him as we get to their door. "See you tomorrow?" He shakes his head. "Tonight" he says. "Roster night out, everyone will be there." "Everyone?" I whisper, watching as Renee crosses the corridor ahead of us. Colby groans. "Ignore it" he warns. "She's just trying to push your buttons." "Mission accomplished" I growl. "Now I just want to push her face into the asphalt." He laughs. "Naughty Lora" he says. "But no. I'll see you later." I nod and walk off, heading back to Dolph's locker room to get changed.
"That was cool!" Lex gushes as I walk in. I smile, grabbing my bag and rooting through it for something to wear. "Oh fuck yes!" Lex yells as I grab a jumpsuit. I grin. "Alexa you tease" I smirk. "This has, like, no back to it at all. And not a lot of front, come to think of it." She grins. "And your point is?" she asks, fluttering her eyelashes innocently. "Nothing" I grin, taking it into the bathroom to get changed in peace. I smirk at my reflection in the mirror, teasing my hair out of the tight ponytail and letting it fall loosely down my back. Just as I finish the look with smokey eyes, Lex knocks on the door. I open it slightly, enough for her to pass me a pair of killer heels. "Like your style Alexa" I say. She chuckles as I close the door, quickly pulling the heels on before checking my reflection once more. "Oh Lora Good" I groan. "It is most definitely show time."
