"Did I tell you Hunter apologised to me earlier?" I ask Finn as we stand at the bar. He looks at me in shock. "Did you get it on film?" he asks, half seriously. I smile. "No" I say. "But I'm giving him another chance. Last chance." Finn frowns. "I thought he was relegated to the office?" he asks. I shrug. "I don't really care anymore Finn" I admit. "As long as he quits his interfering, I'm good." "Do you really think he will though?" he asks. "Probably not" I admit. "Finn, do me a favour, I can feel eyes burning into my back." Finn sneakily glances over my shoulder. "Jon" he confirms. "I don't think he's blinked for half an hour." I laugh, I can't help it. "Would you, uh, help me out?" I ask. He frowns but nods. "Name it" he says. I don't say anything, just look at the karaoke. "Are we getting Nicole?" he asks quickly. I nod slightly. "Set it up for me?" I ask. "I'm just gonna freshen up." He nods and kisses my cheek before letting me go.
"Damn Lora what are you doing?" I groan to myself in the mirror. My cheeks are flushed, I could use alcohol as an excuse, but I'm not my husband. Lex walks in and comes straight to me. "Finn told me about Nicole making an appearance" she says hugging me. "Jon is shooting daggers through him out there. As much as it kills me to say it Lor, you, need to talk to him. You're both too much in love with each other to let this blow you apart." "Can we not mention blowing and my husband in the same sentence?" I ask, cringing at the thought of him and the stripper. She nods. "Sorry" she whispers. "I know I shouldn't get involved, but fuck Lor, you're my best friend, and he is, was, no, is my favourite wrestler. You marrying him is like a dream come true. I mean, I was never gonna get close to him, he's the wrong sex for me for a start." I laugh. Lex being open about her sexuality doesn't happen often. Hardly anyone knows. "You telling me that not even the great Dean Ambrose could turn my best friend straight?" I ask, feigning shock. She laughs, slapping me playfully. "Not a hope" she says. "He's married to this awesome girl who needs to start believing in herself a bit more, and stop running from her problems." "I will" I whisper. "I promise. Just, not tonight." She groans as I wink and run out of the bathroom. "Lora!" Finn calls. "You're up!" I nod and head straight for the DJ.
"Go on Nicole!" Finn yells as the music starts. Nikki looks at him and frowns. "Huh?" she asks. He grins and shakes his head, pointing at the stage just as the music starts. "So" I say. "This is how it's meant to be sung." I smirk as Renee glares at me. This is gonna be fun. But, instead of singing it to Jon like she did, I sing it to Finn. And Colby. Oh, and Joe. Lex is giving me the thumbs up constantly, and by the time the song finishes I can barely hold my laugh in. I hand the microphone back to the DJ and jump off the stage, landing next to Lex, who throws her arms around me. We both laugh as Finn and Colby wrap their arms around us too. "Damn Lora" Colby says. "You're in the wrong job! You had everyone here under your spell up there!" Lex grins. "Should see her do the Buttons routine" she says, looking at me slyly. Finn looks at me quickly. "Don't even think about it Balor" I warn. He grins and kisses me before heading back to the bar. I glance across at Jon's table out of the corner of my eye. The number of empty glasses in front of him had grown considerably. I groan as Colby looks at me. "Please Lor" he begs. "Just speak to him. Even if it's to tell him to fuck off. Don't leave him on his own being an easy target for Renee." Ok, now he's got my attention. "Is that why you think I'm doing this Colby?" I ask. "Do you really think I want my husband sat this far away from me, alone, so that she can be with him? You think I want her to make a move on him?" "No!" he snaps quickly. "But unless you make some sort of effort to speak to him, that's exactly what's going to happen." I nod. He's right. "Damn, I hate it when you're right" I groan. He smiles. "Go on" he urges, putting his hand on my waist and pushing me closer to Jon's table. "I don't think I can" I whisper. Colby nods. "You can" he insists. "He's your husband Lora. You're closer to him than anyone here. He needs you. Nobody else." I nod. "Only for you, Colby" I say. "I'm not doing this for her. Or for him. I'm only going there because you asked me to." "What if I ask you not to?" Finn asks quietly from behind me. I take a deep breath before turning around and looking at him. "I'm sorry Finn" I whisper. "But he's my husband. I have to." I don't give him time to argue, or myself time to back out. The next thing I know I'm standing next to Jon's table.
"Lora?" he whispers. I nod, watching as he slides across the bench, leaving me room to sit next to him. I sit down quickly before I can talk myself out of it. "Make me understand, Jon" I beg. "I need to know what happened."
