Chapter 22

Tony placed the tool down onto the table to his right as he took a step back from his project. He wiped his brow as he examined it. A single nod of approval and smile on his face was all he did before he called for JARVIS.

"Yo, JAR!" he yelled.

"I believe I've told you that I'd prefer to not be called that, sir," the AI said in an almost tired voice.

"Oh come on, you love me," Tony grinned.

"Of course, sir," JARVIS replied. "How can I help you?"

"Get me on the intercom," the billionaire said. "I need to call the team."

"Right away, sir," JARVIS said, before going silent and a single beep sounded a second after.

"Avengers! Assemble to the lab!" Tony shouted, the grin still on his face. After all the questions about his project, he was excited to finally show it off. And to partially get the team off his back with all the nagging questions. He grabbed a tarp and threw it over the object. The grin still remained. "Can't wait to see the look on their faces," he chuckled.

A few minutes later the ding to the elevator sounded down the hall and Tony could hear footsteps heading his way. This was it!

"Okay, Tony," Clint said, folding his arms as he and the rest of the Avengers walked into the lab. "What's so important that you called all of us down here?"

"Well, Merida, because you and everyone else in the tower have been so curious as to what I've been working on down here, I thought I'd show you what it is," Tony said, stepping to the side to show the covered objected. "Ladies and gents, here is the answer to all your curiosity." He grabbed the tarp and pulled it off revealing a human shaped object.

"This is what you've been working on?" Steve asked, pointing to the object in front of him.

The rest of the team all stared, mouths slightly open and eyes narrowed as they observed the figure in front of them. It was a robot. A really tall robot. About six or seven feet was the team's guess. But it certainly wasn't another Iron Man suit. It wasn't hallow and with multiple body pieces like the suits. No, this was a full out robot. However, it wasn't complete. There were some pieces of body plates missing along the arms and legs – and some on the sides of the torso as well. Thus leaving a good bit of the wires running through the system showing. The face plate, though, had a somewhat Iron Man-esque look to it, but with a good difference in the design. The body plates that were on the robot were a dingy silver, like the Iron Man suits looked before their paint was added, but a bit worse. However, on the left side of its torso there was the only colored part of the entire robot. A red A. The Avengers A.

"Yep!" Tony said, a proud smile on his face.

"You built a robot?" Tracey said, a puzzled expression crossing her features as her eyes moved up and down the creation.

"Yep!" the scientist said again, the smile never leaving his face. He patted the chest plate of the robot before turning back to the group. "This new friend of ours is going solve all of our problems."

"Which are?" Natasha asked, waving a hand in a circle, urging the man to continue.

"Glad you asked, Spider Queen," Tony said, snapping his fingers. He pointed to the robot again. "This guy is Ultron?"

"Ultron?" Bruce repeated, raising a brow.

"Where did that come from?" Sharon asked, making a face at the name.

"Yes, Ultron. I made it up. I picked it out and it's staying," he said, crossing his arms as he starred at the team slowly, as if challenging them to make a comment about his name choice. "Anyways, Ultron here is going to help us with our problems. Which," he said, holding a finger up to stop the red haired assassin from repeating her question, "are missions and free time. We constantly get bombarded with mission after mission and we barely have free time for ourselves." He gestured a hand to the robot. "He's going to be able to take care of the simple missions for us leaving time to enjoy some peace and quiet."

"Simple missions? When have missions been simple?" Sharon asked, smirking a bit.

"Missions like stopping some goon doing the dirty work for some big shot and attacking a small location or something like that," Tony said with an eye roll.

"I have to say, Stark," Bucky said, folding his arms across his chest as he nodded his head, "this is pretty impressive and a pretty good idea."

"Thank you! See? Bucko gets it," Tony said, raising a hand to the super soldier as he looked at the rest of the team.

"We never said it was a bad idea," Clint said, shaking his head at the billionaire's comment. "We didn't say anything really. We were just all thinking the same thing: Why did you make it and why the name Ultron?"

"But you've answered those two questions, so we have nothing else to say really," Barry added in.

"Are you sure this is safe?" Thor spoke up after a few minutes of silence among the group. He stared up at the robot with his face scrunched up in thought.

"Of course it is, Fabio! I made it," the billionaire stated, brow furrowing at the accusation. "Well, fixed him up," he said, making a face and giving a small shrug.

"I am just wondering," the god said, holding his hands up in defense. "This is not something you have done before. Not to this extreme anyways," he said, gesturing to Dumb-E, who was cleaning up one of the many tables around the lab.

"Have you tested it?" Steve asked, taking his eyes off Ultron and turning to the scientist.

"I've done tests on separate body parts as I was fixing him up," Tony answered, "but I haven't done a full test on him yet. As you can see he's not complete. I mean he's almost naked!" He chuckled as the team rolled their eyes. "I'll be doing tests soon, but I wanted to show him off to you guys first."

"Well, its impressive and a pretty good idea like Buck said," Steve commented.

"I'm going to be interested to see how it works," Natasha said as she started heading to the elevator.

"Where are you going?" Tony called out. "I didn't dismiss class."

"Class is over. Its lunch time," Nat said, raising a brow to challenge the bearded man. "You stopped me halfway making food and I'm hungry," she said as she walked away.

"Same!" Clint said, jogging to catch up to the elevator before the doors closed.

"Ditto!" Tracey called out, following their lead.

"Is a Pokemon," Barry said, following his twin. He grinned when she rolled her eyes at him.

"Good job, Tony," Steve said, patting the man's shoulder. "I'm interested to see the tests on Ultron."

"Let me know if you need any help with them," Bruce said as he, Bucky, and Sharon followed the super soldier to the rest of the group.

"Hey, wait! Let the genius get something to eat too!" Tony called out as he ran to catch up to the rest of his teammates. "I deserve some reward."

"Of course you do," Bruce said with a chuckle as the elevator doors closed.

ooOOoo

Bucky walked out of his and Tracey's room, running a towel through his hair after having just gotten out of the shower. The smell of chicken and herbs filled the room, making the super soldier stop to savor it as it filled his nostrils. He walked down the hall and stood there as he stared at the woman in the kitchen. Tracey was at the stove, stirring something in a pan as music played from her laptop on the kitchen island. She was singing and dancing in place as she cooked.

He grinned and watched her for another minute before he snuck up behind her. Poking her sides once he reached her, he laughed when she jumped in the air.

"Oh my Lord! Geez, Bucky! Give me a warning next time," she exclaimed, holding a hand over her heart.

"Sorry, doll, couldn't resist," he said, grinning down at her. "What are you making?" he asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his head on her shoulder as he looked down at the pan.

"Just some stew my mom sent me the recipe for. I thought I'd try it out," she answered as she stirred.

It was silent for a while, the only sound coming from the flames on the stove, the sound of the food cooking in the pan, and the music coming from the computer. Bucky listened to it, enjoying the beat of it. He began to sway him and Tracey to it, making his girlfriend giggle as he did.

"What's this song?" he asked, kissing her cheek.

"It's Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor," Tracey said, kissing his cheek back. "It's a new song and I've been obsessed with it lately."

Bucky smiled and let her go, taking the spoon out of her hands and placing it on the counter. He grabbed her hand and spun her out, enjoying the sound of her laughter. He began turning, twisting, and spinning Tracey and himself around the kitchen. Tracey smiled brightly, laughing as she did her best to keep up with her boyfriend's dance moves. She wasn't the best, but she was learning every time Bucky pulled her in for a dance. She always loved it when he surprised her with one.

At some point Bucky had spun her to him and pecked her lips; he spun her back out, kicking his legs out after. He laughed when Tracey stuck her tongue out at him.

"I can't keep up!" Tracey laughed as she stared down at their feet. "Thank God!" she sighed with another laugh as the song ended. She gasped as she felt Bucky tug her arm, pulling her to him again. "Hiya, Sergeant," she said, smiling up at him.

"Hey, doll," he laughed. He kissed her forehead, holding her for a few more seconds before letting her go. "I can see why you're obsessed with that song. It's a good song for dancing," he grinned.

"That's definitely why I love it," his girl said with a hint of sarcasm as she laughed, shaking her head. "But you're right, it is. But it's just a fun song in general."

"Mmm, you have a good point."

The two went back to their original positions, Tracey at the stove, stirring the stew, and Bucky with his arms wrapped around her as he watched. He placed a few kisses on her neck making her giggle once more.

"So, what did you think of Tony's robot?" Bucky asked after a few minutes of silence.

"I partially thought he had made himself a friend to talk with so someone would understand whatever science-y things he says."

The metal armed man barked out a laugh, shaking his head. "You're not serious are you?"

"No, I'm not," the hacker laughed. "But I do think it's interesting. Even the name," she grinned.

"Yeah that's an interesting name for sure," Bucky nodded. "I'm wondering if it will work. It'll mean that the team will get days off. Which means I'll be able to spend some more time with you."

"I know, then I'll get tired of you and wish you were out on a mission," Tracey joked, giggling when he poked her sides.

"Hey, you chose to date me. Not my fault if you get tired of me," he teased, poking her sides again.

"I know, I know," Tracey laughed, pushing his hands away. She smiled up at him as he wrapped them around her once more. "No, but I think it'll be great to get a little more time together. And it'll give me a little peace of mind knowing that you'll have a fewer number of missions to go on."

"Because we all know how you love me going on missions," he said, squeezing her.

Tracey sighed. "You know how I get when everyone goes on missions. I worry. I can't help it," she said, turning around in his arms.

"I know, doll. But we all come back. I've told you we pull through. We have things to fight for. Tony has Pepper. Barry has you, your mom, and Darcy. Steve has Sharon. The others have their loved ones. And I have you," he said, pulling her closer to him. "You're what makes me fight to come home."

Tracey smiled up at him, resting her head against his chest. "I know. But I still worry. What else am I supposed to do while you guys go out and I'm at home?"

"Well you had your first field mission this go round," Bucky pointed out. "So you weren't really at home this time."

"Yes, but if I know you as well as you know me, I know that you'd rather I stay home," Tracey said, smirking up at him knowingly.

He chuckled. "Yeah and I know that you're stubborn as hell and I can't stop you if you want to help on a field mission."

"Exactly," the blonde hacker said, kissing him. "But if it makes you feel better I don't plan on going on a lot of field missions. I'm not a fighter, I'll get in the way and I can't handle those missions all the time like you. My place is here with my technology."

"True, true," Bucky said, chuckling again. He frowned when he saw her smile fall. "What's wrong, darling?"

"It's just that after everything that happened these two months," she started, chewing her cheek, "I can't help but worry. I met the man who killed my dad. He nearly killed my mom and brother, and he tried to make you into the Winter Soldier again. I'm just worried something else will happen."

"Trace," Bucky said, smiling lightly down at her. "That man is gone. He's in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. He won't hurt you or your family. I won't go down that road again. I was able to get away like last time. You're not going to lose anyone." He rested his head against hers. "I promise you, everything will be okay."

Tracey smiled up at him, hearing the same words she and Steve always used whenever he was worried, having a bad day, or trying to calm down after one of his nightmares. Those words always made things better for him, and her whenever she needed to hear them too. They were calming and always held truth. Bad things happened to them, but they always pulled through. Everything was always okay.

"I know," she said, smiling at him. She wrapped her arms around him. "I love you."

"I love you too. And even if something happens. We have each other. I have you by my side to help me whenever I need it. You have me for help whenever you need it. We have each other." He kissed her forehead before hugging her to him. He held her tight, wanting to reassure her. As he did, he couldn't help but let his mind wander to the small, black box hidden away in one of his dresser drawers. He smiled at the thought and looked down at her, placing a kiss on the top of her head. "Nothing is going to happen. Everything will be okay, Tracey. I promise."

And that's a wrap with Falling Again! I really hope you guys liked it and I want to know how many of you caught on to the fact that I was implying Tony was creating Ultron throughout this story. One of my friends knew about it since I was bouncing ideas off of her for a long time before I started the story (thanks AtLoLevad! And sorry for having to put up with me).

I'm also so so so SO glad I was able to get this done before the actual Age of Ultron movie! YES!

And yes, I just referenced to Bucky planning on proposing to Tracey. So she will most likely be his fiance during Age of Ultron.

Clearly since I brought Ultron into the end (and basically (kinda) throughout the entire story every now and then) I plan on making an Age of Ultron story. I want to, but I've never done a story where you insert a new character into an already made plot (although I did it with Harry Potter, but it was also a side story throughout the actual story of the Golden Trio). But I'm not sure how well I'll do with putting Barry and Tracey (and Bucky and Sharon and anyone else I feel like) into the Age of Ultron story, but I guess we'll see how well it goes. I'm freakishly excited to see the movie and I'm especially excited because I'll be home by then and get to see it with my twin sister!

Also CLEARLY this is not how Tony introduces the team to Ultron, but for the sake of the Madison twin-verse it is. Sorry… We all don't know exactly how he does until we actually see the movie so this is my take on it. I also did a little research on MCU Ultron and got some facts on him that I implemented into this chapter so I hope you guys liked that.

I am also a huge cheesy dork I realized just by using Dear Future Husband and then mentioning the ring. Honestly I had the song planned before I thought of mentioning the ring. The song is so catchy and has a swing like beat to it. I had to use it! Also I'm obsessed with it lately.

So I hope you liked this story and I hope you stick around for Age of Ultron (same goes for me. I seriously hope I'm able to pull it off…). Let me know what you think of the story!

If you'd like to ask the Avengers, Madison twins, and anyone else any questions, feel free to leave a message on my tumblr. If you have a prompt you'd like to see me write, AU or non-AU, leave a message on my tumblr, on here, or leave it in a review.

My tumblr is winter-is-ending

Also who guessed what Tony was making? I would love to hear what you guys thought throughout the story so send me a message what you thought he was doing or leave it in a review haha!

Thank you guys so much for the support and love! I seriously can't believe I actually finished this! Out of every story I have ever written this one and Winter is Ending are the only ones I have actually finished! Thank you guys so so much!
