Chapter 44: Skull vs Ace and David

Skull collapsed on the ground with a loud thud and lied motionless as the blue substance came pouring out of the giant gaping hole on his back that Ace came out of. As Ace began to look around he was unaware of both David and Yuki who stared at him. David smiled seeing Ace out of Skull but Yuki on the other hand was speechless. She gazed at Ace and started to tear up when she saw him instead of that Skeleton. David turned his head to see Yuki holding back her tears. He understood why knowing how much the Skeleton Princess cares for him but after what she did she couldn't bring herself to even look at him.

"Hey…if you want to be with him the go ahead." David said as he looked at Yuki.

"Bu-but…I can't. After what I did I don't even know whether I should go towards him or not." Yuki said as she continued to gaze at Ace.

As Yuki said that David couldn't help but place his hand on Yuki's shoulder which made her turn to him.

"Look…I don't believe that you meant to turn Ace into a demonic Skeleton. Right now he needs you and he even told me himself. So go to him Yuki." David said to her.

Yuki began to tear up after what David said and before he knew it she already made a dash towards Ace with tears flowing out of her eyes.

"Ace!" Yuki cried.

Ace immediately turned around only to see Yuki jump and hug him which brought him down on the ground. Yuki then began to sob on his shirt while Ace looked at her in surprise with a shocked expression.

"I'm sorry Ace. I'm sorry for turning you into that…that thing. Please forgive me. Forgive me for what I did to you." Yuki sobbed.

Despite the fact that he was different Yuki still clunged onto the guy that she cared about. Ace looked at Yuki to see the Skeleton Princess breaking down on his chest. He soon sat himself up and wrapped his arms around Yuki's back and smiled at her.

"It's not your fault Yuki." Ace said.

Yuki looked up with her eyes red from the tears that she still shed. Ace then used his left hand to wipe her face and continued to smile at her.

"It's no one's fault Yuki. I should have told you about my inner Skeleton but it's over. It's not your fault, it's not Hilda's fault either. It's no one's fault but my Skeleton side." Ace said to her.

"Bu-"

Ace placed his Skeleton finger on Yuki's mouth which made her quiet. He then placed his thumb and index finger on her chin a smiled at her.

"Not another word about your fault for making me angry. I still love you Yuki no matter what happens. I will never hate you because you're my Skeleton girl and I'm your Skeleton/human boy and that's all that matters to me." Ace said.

Yuki began to tear up again after what Ace said but she didn't cry. She then felt Ace place his lips on her and she gently wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I missed him. I missed him so much that I don't want anything to come between us. I won't take him for granite. I cherish him until the day we die together." Yuki thought with one tear escaping her eye.

The kiss didn't last long since it was interrupted by the sound of bones cracking. Yuki, Ace, and David turned to see the bones on Skulls back regenerate and cover the hole that Ace came out of. The Skeleton then lifted itself off of the ground and began to crack its neck while glaring at the three of them.

"Troublesome, Pathetic, Insolent Fools. Did you think that you've beaten me SO easily?" Skull said except his voice was different and it seemed to be more intelligent then before.

Ace and David looked at one another knowing what they expected but Yuki clunged onto Ace since she was frightened a little.

"Should have known that killing you wouldn't have been easy Kiro." Ace said.

Yuki looked up at Ace and wanted to ask him a question but now wasn't the best time.

"Feh…Killing me will not be an option for you Ace! I will kill you along with David, Your friends, and that insolent wretch that you hold in you arms right now!" Kiro hissed.

David stared at Kiro before turning to Ace only to see him get up along with Yuki who still clunged onto him.

"Yuki." Ace called to the Skeleton Princess.

Yuki looked at Ace him staring at Kiro. He then closed his eyes and gazed at Yuki before he spoke.

"David and I are going to kill this guy so he wont harm anyone else. I don't want you to get hurt so please find somewhere to hide." Ace told her.

Yuki nodded and slowly released her grip on Ace. She then rushed to go find some cover but Kiro lashed out his sword-like tail to stab Yuki but David intercepted it and slashed it with his axe. Kiro hissed and rushed at David but was kicked in the face by Ace who glared angrily at him.

"I got your back and you got mine huh Ace." David said with a grin.

"That's what I'm doing so yeah." Ace replied with a grin of his own.

David and Ace smirked at one another before turning their gaze at Kiro who recovered from the attack.

"INSOLENT FOOLS! I WILL NOT BE EASILY DEFEATED BY THE TWO OF YOU!" Kiro yelled.

"IMPALING GRAVEYARD!" Kiro roared.

The ground began to shake beneath Ace and David.

"Oh crap." David muttered.

"Psychotic Reflexes." David said

The ground then started to break below David and before anything could happen David leaped away from where he was standing from just in time to see a large bone-like spike shoot out from the ground. Ace saw this and felt the ground rumbling below him and leaped away to see a spike emerge from the ground. Though it didn't stop. Spikes started appearing on the ground until their were about 80 of them. It lasted for about ten minutes and both Ace and David stood where they were and looked around to see the Bone-like area that they were in.

"Dam…it looks like a boney landscape now." David said.

"Yeah…what's worst is that I lost that bastard in the process." Ace said with some anger.

"Same here." David replied calmly.

The two looked around for Kiro but he seemed to be nowhere in sight. They figured that he would be far away but they were wrong. Kiro appeared out of nowhere and slashed Ace dead in the face forcing the guy to drop to one knee on the ground while covering his bleeding face. David saw this and swung his axe at Kiro but the skeleton disappeared inside the bone-like pillar before he even got hit.

"Dammit! You alright Ace?" David asked as he turned to see Ace.

Ace soon removed his right hand from his face revealing part of his left face skin gone revealing his boney like appearance. David looked at Ace in disgust seeing Skull do that to him but Ace easily used his left hand and swiped it across his face. As he done so his skin started to heal itself and morphed around the boney exterior around him until his face looked good as new again.

"Yeah I'm fine but Skull won't when I'm through with him." Ace said with his newly formed face.

As if on cue Kiro reappeared behind Ace but David was able to land a punch on the side of the Skeletons face. Kiro soon skid on the ground but stopped himself with his clawed hand but it was a fatal mistake when Ace used his Wither sword and slashed at Kiro's arm. Kiro screeched in pain and glared at Ace. He was ready to use his tail to stab him but David slashed it before the skeleton could use it. He then incinerated it with his orange aura and turned back at Skull who looked at David in anger.

"NO!"Kiro yelled.

Kiro tried to move but David stomped on his spine hindering his movements. Skull screamed and glared at David at the corner of his eyes but it didn't mean a thing to him. David then looked up at Ace to see him staring down at Kiro before placing his gaze on David.

"Ready to end this?" Ace asked.

"Yeah." David said.

Both of their weapons began to glow their respected aura's. Davids axe glowed a Orange-like aura and Ace's sword glowed a Black and White aura. Both of them then pulled their swords back at Kiro who gazed in fear.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS! I AM SUPPOSE TO BE STRONGER THEN THE BOTH OF YOU! I WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN! I WAS-"

"About to die." David said.

The two then swung their weapons and impaled Kiros bone-like body. Kiro immediately screeched in agony as he felt his body being stabbed by the weapons. His whole appearance soon cracked and he broke into pieces which broke and eroded away leaving no trance of the Skeleton. Ace soon reverted back to his regular form with his skin, his hair, his eyes, and his clothes changing back into their original colors along with his sword turned into its original form.

"Sigh…finally." Ace said.

"I didn't expect less from this guy. He talks big about him being powerful but he isn't strong as I expected." David said.

"Well still…I thank you for saving my life David." Ace said with a smile.

"Don't mention it." David said.

Ace was ready to say something else but Yuki appeared and hugged Ace which startled the guy.

"You two did it!" Yuki said.

"Was there ever a doubt about it?" Both David and Ace said in unison.

"No. I would never doubt you guys." Yuki said with a smile.

"Yeah you wouldn't. We should get the guys and head back." Ace said.

"Yeah…good Idea." David said.

"Alright then." Yuki replied.

-Epic timelapse to the SkeletonCastle because the guys are still unconscious and all they're doing is walking-

Ace lead on the dresser in Yuki's room as he looked at his face. He started brushing his hair and when he was done he began to rotate his Skeleton hands wrists to make sure if everything was ok. He was soon interrupted when the door opened and Yuki came in with a smile on her face.

"Any news?" Ace asked.

"Fang and Yaebi awakened and went back to their castles. Fang also insisted that he should take Theron back to the others which we accepted. Haze is also recovering very slowly but he'll be good as new as the Skeleton doctors said." Yuki said as she approached Ace.

"-Sigh- That's good to hear." Ace said as he turned around.

Yuki soon stopped in front of Ace and wrapped her arms around his chest and smiled as she stared into his eyes.

"I missed you. I promise that I'll do whatever I can to help you Acey. What happened today…changed me and I don't want that to happen again." Yuki told him.

"I know. I won't let anything happen either Yuki. As I said before. You're my Skeleton girl and I'm your Human-Skeleton guy." Ace said with a smile.

Yuki blushed as Ace said that and moved her lips towards his until they met and locked with each other.

-Elsewhere-

The barren landscape where the battle had begun was empty. The only sound that was made was the wind blowing across the field as the grass flowed with it. Suddenly the ground started to rumble and a narrow bone-like spike appeared from the ground but it was medium sized.

A humanoid hand soon formed from out of the spike followed by a body and the a regular person. The person soon fell on the floor as he was covered in black clothing revealing himself as Kiro but he was gasping tiredly with clear liquid dripping from his skin and clothes.

"Dammit…If it wasn't for my tail being cut off I would have been a goner. At the start of this fight my tail had been cut off my that fool Theron. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have foreseen my death." Kiro said tiredly

Chapter 41-David turned around to see the tail but didn't have enough time to block or evade given how close it was. Before he knew it the tail soon collided with a shadow-like sword and Theron stood behind him with his Shadow Blade in his hand. Theron smiled behind his scarf and slashed the tails Mace. –

"If it wasn't for the fact that my tail being destroyed I wouldn't have been able to regenerate when my body got destroyed. Those fools will pay." Kiro said with a calm and tired voice.

"And I can help you with that." An all to familiar voice said.

Kiro turned his head to see a female behind him with her wings extended and a grin on her face.

"Who are you?" Kiro asked.

The female grinned and spoke to him with a nice and caring voice.

"I am Allison…and I know someone who can help you seek that revenge that you want my friend." Allison said.
