Chapter 47: A Play Day in Ruins
Kai roamed the halls of the Spider Castle now that he fully healed after being beaten to a pulp after the "Events" that happened with Kai. Now after being healed Kai was free to do whatever he pleased and the first thing that was on his mind was playing with Silk. Kai soon stopped at his destination and opened a door leading to the young Cave Spider Princesses room to see her already waiting for him.
"Ready to go Silky?" Kai asked the young Spider girl.
"Yes Big Brother!" Silk said happily.
Kai nodded and watched Silk quickly approach his side. The two then walked together in the halls with one another with Kai having his hands in his pocket and Silk skipping happily as she hummed a song. The two soon came across Willow who was waiting patiently by the castle doors as she had her arms folded across her chest and thinking about something. She then felt their presence and looked up to see her sister and lover approach her.
"There you guys are. Are we ready to go?" Willow asked.
"Yeah." Kai replied with a grin.
"Uh-huh. Let's go!" Silk cheered.
Willow nodded and the three exited through the castle doors as they began with their play date.
An hour had past when the trio had left and they found themselves in a meadow with some animals roaming around that ranged from cows, Pigs, Sheep and wolves. Silk decided that they should play hide and seek and since there were some hills, medium sized boulders, and some trees here and there Kai and Willow agreed to play. Kai was It and because of this the two Spider Princess went to go hide while Kai counted by a tree with his back turned.
"9…10! Ready or not here I come!" Kai shouted.
He then turned around to find himself alone since Silk and Willow found a hiding place.
"Ok…time to go find where those two are." Kai said.
(Elsewhere)
A few miles away from Kai, Willow, and Silk was a village or…what was left of it to be precise. The village was a wreck. Buildings had holes on the walls or roofs leading inside, crops have been destroyed, animals that were cattle were killed and mangled, Iron Golems lying on the ground showing that they were dead, and corpses of villagers from men, women, and children laid on the ground in gruesome ways. In the center of the Village was a well and from there was two figures. One of them had there fangs pierced inside the neck of a female villager as her body sputtered with her eyes rolled halfway behind her sockets. The young man the removed his fangs from the woman and pushed her away as her body fell to the ground with a thud.
"Sigh…stupid pathetic villagers." The boy grumbled.
He began to lick his mouth of left over blood and turned to a familiar hooded figure who just sat ontop of a roof as he stared at the carnage.
"So…why the hell are you here Raike? Thought you had better things to do for his majesty." The boy said with irritation.
"I have no reason to tell you Kratos. Neydah has given me specific orders that only I should know. That is all that I am willing to tell you." Raike said in his voice that was void of any type of feelings.
Kratos scoffed after Raike said that and kicked a dead mans corpse in the face. Doing so cause his entire head to explode and cover Kratos's shoe with blood.
"Tch…whatever. Just stay out of my way when I find that Human Brat." Kratos growled.
"Being angry doesn't do a thing Kratos. No wonder you died by this Kai Spudera." Raike said as he looked at the village woman who had some foam coming from her mouth. He then croutched down to the woman and placed a hand on her cheek while the other held a needle with a black substance in it.
"Still…you didn't have to make this one suffer. You could have just killed her." Raike said.
Kratos only shrugged and turned away from Raike seeing him bring the needle towards the woman. He then leaped on top of a building while Raike inserted the needle into the womans neck. He then injected the black substance into her and her sputtering slowly eased along with her rapid breathing.
"Shh…just let the black blood course through your veins and then you will never feel pain again." Raike said in a creepy yet soothing voice.
He would say this to her very softly and watched as the womans sputtering stopped and she closed her eyes. Seeing this Raike stood up and approached Kratos who seemed to smell the air. His head would be pointed upward and he would also be taking deep breaths.
"Despite him being utterly useless and also disrespectful I won't be surprised on why Neydah chose me for this special mission. If he fails this and tells me to make a portal to go back then I will have to carry out that order which I will gladly carry out for him." Raike thought.
Raike then snapped out of his thoughts when Kratos opened his eyes and grinned revealing his fangs.
"Found him and he's not alone either." Kratos said.
"Is that so…how far is he then?" Raike asked without showing any source of care.
"He's about a two or three miles away from here. What's even better is that he has two people that I know tagging along with him." Kratos said with a grin.
Raike stayed silent when Kratos said that and watched as he laughed like a madman.
"Oh what luck! I can kill three people that ruined my life! This is so fantastic!" Kratos yelled.
He then dashed off leaving Raike left in his carnage. Raike only sighed as he watched Kratos disappear within the forest that led to his so called "Objective". Raike then looked back at the village and sighed before walking off calmly.
(Elsewhere)
Kai looked around the area as he tried to find Silk and Willow. It has been 15 minutes since he started the game and he couldn't find the two spider girls. He started on finding Silk first and he hasn't found her yet.
"Silky…where are you?" Kai sung as he called her out.
Even though he called out her name he wasn't expecting for the young spider girl to show herself. Little did he know Silk was watching him from a tree a few feet away. She looked down at him while staying perfectly hidden within the leaves. She smiled seeing Kai franticly look for her to the point where he seemed funny in her eyes. She then let out a giggle but by doing so made Kai stop what he was doing and look at the tree she was on which made her stop laughing immediately.
She watched as Kai looked at the tree before shrugging and moving on but as he moved away she lost sight of him.
"Hmm…is big brother going to look for Sis now?" Silk said softly.
As Silk said that she didn't notice that a pair of hands slowly made its way from behind the leaves and slowly approached Silk. Silk continued to look through the small see though opening that the leaves made to find Kai but she was soon startled by the pair of hands grabbing her and yanking her out of the tree with force with her screaming in fear.
"Silk…seriously where are you! Olly olly oxenfree!" Kai shouted.
He looked around the area wondering where Silk could be. He also wondered where Willow was as well. He then took a step forward to continue on but he stopped when he heard a sharp scream ring though his ears. His eyes widen and he immediately changed direction and ran as fast as he could as he heard the screams. As he ran he looked to his left to see someone holding Silk and they their mouth was actually pn her neck. Seeing this Kai's left eye twitch in sheer rage and he leaped in that position and punched the figure dead in his face. As he did so the figure yelled in pain and dropped Silk but Kai was able to catch her and look at the unconscious girl.
He saw to fang marks peirced on her small neck and saw blood seeping out of the freshly made wounds.
"Silk! SILK!" Kai shouted as she shook his sisted while he still had her in his arms.
As Kai looked at Silk, Willow appeared to see Kai and her sister. She immediately rushed to their side and looked at Silk to see the fang marks on her neck.
"Oh My Notch Silk!" Willow shouted in fear.
The two looked at the young spider girl with fear but it was broken when they heard laughter. They both turned to see the figure that Kai punched stand up from the ground and grin at them though when Willow saw her face she was completely shocked.
"K-Kratos!" Willow said.
Kai looked at Willow when she said the guys name and stared back at Kratos who grinned sadisticlly at her showing his two fangs which were still fresh with blood.
"Long time no see…Sis!" Kratos chuckled.
