Chapter 58: An Old Friend

As the night went on everything seemed calm in Minecraftia. With Kings Boom and Bones, the two followed the stranger across the nice grassland. The trio then found themselves upon a very old-looking courtyard, right next to a very large castle. Boom was impressed, indicated as he whistled like a falling bomb, and Bones would simply admire the beauty maintained despite of its abandonment.

"This is a ground formerly used by the academy." The young skull-head scholar explained, having the attention of the two kings. "But we no longer have any use for it, since we had built a better structure." The scholar added as he then pointed to the large arena like building near the castle. "What is your verdict?"

"Well it is nice place." Boom remarked. "But are you sure were can use this?"

"Yeah, we're not very fond of taking things that isn't ours." Bones added, as they weren't tyrants at all.

"We will inquire about this matter through the headmaster, right at this hour." The scholar replied to their question. "Is that alright with both of you? Or would you like to do it some other time?"

"Oh no it's alright." Boom replied.

"Yeah, we have time to spare." Bones added, as the night was still very early, and went on very slow for some reason.

"Then, follow me to the academy." The scholar said as he started to walk away from the courtyard, as he went towards the academy.

"Lead the way, good sir." Boom said as he and Bones started following him through.

The three of them then found themselves in a dark oak forest, the scholar was familiar with it, though the two kings were astounded as they saw giant mushrooms and the dark oak logs. Then after a few minutes, the scholar lead them both into the gate of the academy which was closed and guarded by two skeletons with dispensers for heads, texture diamond leggings and refines diamond boots. Bones looked very impressed as the skeletons, were armed with an enchanted bow and a stone sword.

"Halt." The guard on the left ordered the scholar, as he halted.

"State your identity." The right guard followed, looking at King Bones and Boom.

"Sophomores, Slater of East Zephomore." The scholar stated, to the left guard who then turned its attention to the two kings.

"And who are they?" The right guard asked.

"They are guests, two monarchs of mobs." Slater replied.

"King of the Skeletons and King of the Creepers, I assume?" The left guard said, after taking a small observation, as both kings nodded.

"Certainly, now let us pass." Slater answered for them.

The guards stepped aside, and opened the gates for them, as they went through. Then as they entered the large castle, which turned out to be the academy itself, they passed by several halls and halls of beautiful and elegantly ancient decoration. The two kings then caught a glimpse of the things being taught in the academy, to their response of awe and shocked. They saw skeletons, zombies, creepers and even other mobs doing all sorts of things, example; a zombie spitting out explosive fireballs; a skeleton that can turn invisible and even mummies teleporting like endermen.

"This school or academy..." Boom started, looking at a creeper passing by, running real fast. "What is it really?"

"Yeah, makes me wanna change my mind about this place if I knew this place was still being used." Bones remarked.

"I can assure it's an academy, but the headmaster will answer all your inquiries." Slater noted to them, not surprised of their shock. "I will tell you this though, it is a place where anyone and everyone could learn abilities far beyond than the average person."

"I believe I've heard this before, my mother used to teach it to me before she passed away, during my younger years." Bones explained, remembering all those techniques that were somewhat familiar to those being taught in the academy, as what they have seen. "I think she called it, 'Infernal Abilities', I believe."

"Then, I think you already have a broad idea of what we do here." Slater explained.

The three then reached the door leading to the headmaster's office, as Slater then gave it a good knocked upon the seemingly wooden door.

"Come in." A voice said from inside the office, the three responded by opening the door and stepping inside.

Though Boom the expressed another shock, as the headmaster was a person he did not expect.

"No. Freakin. Way." He expressed in shock, as he looked at the man sitting in the middle of the room, in front of the desk with Bones staring at him.

"I see you're still the man I know, Boom Cruipa, nice to see you again after all these years." The headmaster raised a brow at Boom not even fazed.

The headmaster appeared as a well toned man, who seemed to be thirty-six years old. He had short dark-green hair with hints of light brown in it, golden eyes and a nice tanned skin. He wore a grey jacket with a hoodie with a creeper face on it, with the sleeves seemingly ripped off revealing his slightly muscular arm with chains decorated on his wrists, black biker pants, leather boots and his black gas mask that was hanging on his hood.

"But how?!" Boom seemed to in deep shock at this point.

"I can tell you that it involves too much hard work and knowledge." The headmaster smugly replied.

"That doesn't really explain things but I'll take that as an answer." Boom sighed in defeat.

"I'm really confused here." Bones said, as he didn't take much of the information about the two seemingly friends.

"Don't be, I'm headmaster Eric of the Reborn Rose Infernal Academy." The headmaster stood up and bowed to introduce himself properly. "I see you've met one of the pupils." Eric motioned to Slater. "So, what's your business here?" He asked Slater.

"I believe headmaster, that they will be asking permission to use the old courtyards." Slater answered honestly.

"For what reason? A gladiator arena? A race course? A joust? A bomb testing ground?"

"Actually it's for the mob festival." Boom interjected, as he felt a little annoyed at this point about him and Bones being assumed as evil kings.

"Geez, does everyone think you're gonna kill them today Boom?" Bones sighed.

"Well if that's the case, we should discuss with the academy's Hierarchical Council, and what perfect timing, they'll be having an open board, fifteen minutes from now, you two should work on your arguments on why they should consider it." Eric said to them.

The two kings looked at each other with a sigh.

"Oh great, I knew we should've brought Queen Rot with us, she always enjoyed negotiations like this." Bones said to Boom.

"Look, how bad could it be?" Boom replied, trying to reassure his skeleton friend.

"You two could do the planning in my office." Eric told them and turned to the young scholar. "Young man, you are now free to leave, I shall take it from here."

"Thank you sir." Slater then gave them a bow and left the room.

=Ace's POV=

Yuki and I have been following the scientist or Geoff down the hall for a while as he led us to Kai's room. There was an awkward silence between all of us and neither one of us seemed to speak to one another or say anything to spark a conversation. Geoff then suddenly in front of a door, followed by Yuki and I. We stared at the door for a moment, before I spoke to Geoff.

"I'm guessing that he's here, right?" I wasn't that stupid, but I just wanted to make sure by asking.

"Yes, I told him to take a rest for the being, due to the fact we have to suck out and replace his blood." Geoff then sighed. "But knowing him, he'd probably be doing something against that suggestion."

"Wow, I guess this doctor knows who he's dealing with..." I thought as we did hear counting, as I opened the door slowly.

We then saw Kai, out of the bed, and apparently doing push-ups with the use of his one hood arm, though his legs weren't in action.

"Welp!" Geoff said out loud. "As long he isn't bleeding or anything, I suppose he can perform seven-hundred push-ups."

Kai then moved from the floor and quickly crawled back to his bed noticing us and sat down with a shocked and surprised face. "Holy crap guys!" He looked very surprised to see us, mostly Yuki and I, and the fact that we found him. "When did you two get here?" He asked us.

"About three seconds ago." I jokingly deadpanned.

"Ah..." Kai got my point, as he attempted to straighten himself up. "I guess, that makes sense."

"Be careful with your legs, one wrong and snap!" Dr. Geoff emphasized the snap with his hand gestures. "You'll be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life, or maybe crunches."

"Don't worry doc, I've had worse." Kai then smiled at Geoff's concern. "Way worse..."

"So what happened to you man?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I'm quite curious myself." Yuki added.

Kai looked at Yuki and I for a moment and sighed seeing that he didn't want to explain a thing about something that was very serious but he didn't seem to care. Yuki immediately got a chair and sat on it and I leaned beside the wall and the two of us began to hear Kai's tale.
