Chapter 6: Raphael's Gone

Donatello: Leo and I hung our heads in shame while making our way to the lair. He seemed too quiet, which of course meant he was upset. We had searched for him literally all throughout the city of New York, we almost wished we could go to all the public schools and request his face on the milk cartons, but the schools' secretaries would have called animal control on us before we even had the chance to talk.

Before we entered the sewers to get to our home, I put an arm around him.

"It's okay Leo, I promise that before tomorrow morning I'll create some prototypes to help us track down Raphael much easier.", I assured him. He just nodded and grinned. We entered the lair together with looks of shame painted on our faces.

Leonardo: "Leonardo, Donatello, have you found Raphael?", asked sensei with a spark of hope in his eyes. It literally killed me to tell him we didn't find Raph. I opened my mouth to respond in the 'nicest ' way possible, but I knew it would be completely useless to sugarcoat it.

I hung my head low in shame and whispered a weak 'no'. I went to my room and sat on my bed trying to think of positive alternatives for Raph's outcomes of being outside alone, in the conditions he was in, but I knew I could only and should only wait for the worst.

I could just imagine it, all throughout the world the news headlines would be; "Mutant Dead Turtle Found in New York", "What are scientists doing to turtles in the sewers of New York?", and "The King of Spain requests mutated turtle soup". I felt lightheaded at the thought so I just heaved out a pained sigh and closed my eyes.

Michelangelo: I had been in my room for the whole time but, it wasn't because I was upset or depressed but, because I was having a long chat with Raphael, (well, at least my pretend one, it's actually my wall).

"Raph, why'd you leave? I mean dude, since you left you didn't really make anything better here. All I hear 24/7 is; 'Raphael's gone, gone, gone'. I mean, I know you won't really be gone bro but, still. Please come back soon, Donnie or Leo aren't in the mood for pizza anymore since you left, and I'm afraid algae and worms isn't cut out for me bro.", I sighed a long deep sigh. "Just come back home please."
