A.N. So I'm trying to get back into my writing game, hopefully fulfilling these prompts will help… :}

dragonwriter88: Here's my thought: Zorro doesn't get drunk, he's too careful for that, but what if he pretends? Frequently?

Hopefully this will be adequate… ^-^

Warnings: high school AU, ZoSan, pre-slash, this might be considered as underage drinking.

Pretending to be Drunk

It was a sad truth that Zoro could drink the weight of his body and not get drunk. Well, he did get sick, vomiting his stomach contents – which by drinking his weight of alcohol was just alcohol itself – to an outsiders did seem like signs of being drunk, but that was about it. Without getting nauseous there were no signs of the green haired man being drunk: he wasn't getting dizzy, the sky and the ground didn't seem to have mixed sides and his body-brain coordination was as good as ever.

To tell the truth it was annoying as hell. Not getting drunk in any group of friends when you're set out to get drunk and party your brain out was a real party-pooper. And no one wanted to be one, Zoro included, thus it lead to the swords loving man pretending to be drunk. With his nonexistent acting skill no one could have imagined him acting like drunk was just a play.

Being a healthy nineteen year old he was Zoro went to his fair share of parties, and they all had one thing common – Luffy. His best friend always was the soul of those parties, almost always being the one to drag Zoro into it. Those parties varied in places, sizes, themes, people and so on, but little by little the crowd thinned out, the places became regular and soon Zoro realized he knew all the people in the party.

There of course was Luffy – he one way or another always became the soul of the party, he was the one who knew all the games, had enough courage and determination to start everyone playing and he was the one with least self-consciousness to do the stupidest things. And where was Luffy his boyfriend always followed – so it was no surprise you could find Law sitting in some seclude corner, drinking soda and being a good boyfriend and waiting for his lover, so he could get him home safe and sound.

Other really familiar figure often sticking to Luffy was his other best friend – Usopp. (The number of Luffy's best friends was limited, but not to one.) The curly haired Malaysian always had good music and crazy stories no one believed, but they were good entertainment, so everyone listened. Like a shadow, sitting in a corner of a sofa, but sitting quietly and looking very amused was Robin. The older woman turned out to be the owner of the apartment their parties now tend to be at. She and her husband Franky were somehow convince by Luffy to share their space and for some reason the weird couple agreed.

Brook was some street musician Luffy had befriended. He actually was quite decent guy and his live music was quite good when he chose to play. He was quite a pervert and for some reason was fascinating with skull jokes as he was thin as a stick and you could see his bones. Nami was a bitch, a cruel, greedy witch. That was all Zoro had to say about his orange haired associate. He really didn't like the woman.

Out of everybody in the parties it was Chopper who was the only one underage, the cute teenager was quite on the short side and because of that had a complex about self-worth which Luffy was working on fixing. Chopper apparently was Law's little brother, so it more often than not Law would let him tag along to their parties.

And then, there was Zoro's crush – Sanji. The blond beauty with a temper, switch personality and unhealthy talent for cooking was Zoro's dream man and ridiculously straight. And come on, what male cook these days wasn't gay?! Apparently Sanji, because that man ran after skirts like dogs run after bones.

Thus it led to Zoro drinking his heart out and pretending to be drunk while he actually was just miserable about his crush, thus leading everyone to believe Zoro was a sad drunk.

But as world is an ever changing place everything changed at one specific spring party…

The evening seemed to follow the normal schedule it usually had – fabulous dinner from Sanji, karaoke session thanks to Brook, some sort of games led by Luffy which involved lots of drinking and then a movie chosen from a bucket of folded papers with movie names on them, which often led them to watching animated movies or horror flicks.

That day it just so happened that the movie of the day was Finding Nemo much to Luffy's and Chopper's joy. Sanji's to apparently because the blonde was tearing up with the two brunettes at the right moments leading to Zoro drinking unhealthy amounts of alcohol because he was brooding. He wanted to envelop the blond in his arms and kiss those tears away, he wanted to give comfort and wished for those blond locks to rest on his shoulder…

Zoro sighed and slumped down at the table where he was sitting and drowning his sorrows of unrequired love. While day dreaming of all things he and Sanji could do as a couple (having a constant sparring partner for his martial arts would be a huge plus) the green haired man didn't even notice how the animated movie finished and how one by one everyone went home or started taking out their sleeping bags to bunk in Robin's and Franky's living room.

"You think he passed out?" Were the words that made Zoro come back from his dreamland.

"It seems like it." It was undoubtedly Sanji's voice responding to Law's quiet whisper.

"We should probably put him on the sofa then?" Was Law's question.

Zoro was just about to sit up and refuse as he was planning on going home tonight when Sanji's answer made him stay in place.

"No, the marimo always goes home, I will wake him up and help him home, I bet he won't even remember how he got home latter, it will be great to see him all confused."

Law chuckled. "You do know you won't see him waking up confused, right?"

Realization could be clearly heard in blonde's voice as he answered. "Right. Well, whatever, I will be fine with the knowledge that it did happen."

"He's all yours then."

Fading steps could be heard as only cook's looming present was left by Zoro's side. A small sigh came from the blond. "Idiot marimo, sleeping so adorably, he better not puke on me…"

Then Zoro felt his shoulder being shook. "Get up moss-head."

The swords loving man sat up straight pretending to rub his eyes and yawn as if he was sleeping. "Wut?"

Sanji slapped him upside head without much force – in fights he wouldn't hold back at all and now he was almost being gentle. "You need to get home, I will help you."

Zoro furrowed his eyebrows annoyed that his crush thinks so lowly of him. "I can wall home, just fine."

"Yea, and how long will it take you? I'm not taking chances of getting to hear on morning news that they found dead moss in some alley…"

The green haired man stood up and Sanji immediately slung his arm around Zoro's shoulders much to said man's annoyance and joy. He was glad to be in contact with Sanji, but the reason for it was quite humiliating. "I don't need help to walk."

"After you drank two bottles alone? I'm surprise you can talk without grammatical errors."

Zoro narrowed his eyes, but stomped the humiliation and decided to enjoy skin contact he knew he was not going to get again from Sanji anytime soon, if ever.

It was a long and tiring journey back to Zoro's apartment, but not in the way it should have been. The green haired man was not tired physically, but his patience was running thin, who knew that when you have your crush's arm around your waist helping you walk all you want to do is envelop them in a hug and kiss them senseless? Zoro now knew and he also knew he would have rather not known that piece of information…

Trying to ignore the horrid feeling in his gut the two teens reached the apartment Zoro lived in with his uncle. The only thing he suddenly realized was that Sanji unwrapped his hand from the green haired teen's waist and propped him by the wall next to the door. "Will you be able to unlock the door, or will you give me the key?"

Without saying anything Zoro took out his keys and pushed the key into lock, not expecting Sanji to go in with him, Zoro was just about to close the door after himself when a shout reached his ears. "Oi, Marimo! Let me in, you moss-head!"

Sanji snapped at him, putting leg in the space of the closing door and successfully stopping the closing process. The green haired man watched confused as his crush walked into his apartment with a fast beating heart. Was Sanji planning on staying over because he was too tired to go home…? Would Sanji sleep in his room? Or would he take the sofa in the living room? Zoro's apartment didn't have guest room…

"Should I bring you some covers, or will you sleep in my room?" Zoro asked the blonde who was looking around the living room.

"I think it would be too awkward in the morning for your uncle to get up and find me on the couch, so I'm taking your offer to sleep in your room."

The swords loving teen nodded and went ahead to his room, hearing quiet pads of Sanji's feel following him. What was he going to do?! Taking a deep breath and praying that his room wasn't completely wrecked upside down Zoro tried steadying himself down; nothing was going to happen, unless you count the fact that he was probably not gonna get any sleep - too absorbed in watching Sanji sleep and freak out about having his crush in his room.

Few minutes later found Zoro shuffling through his closet looking for extra blankets and pillows he kept there for Luffy. The only problem being Luffy felt at Zoro's place like at home and he took everything himself leaving Zoro quite confused where the hell the matt Luffy slept on went to.

"Hey, Shit-cook-" Sanji turned around from the wall where he was looking through Zoro's kendo awards and pictures of his victories. "I think you will have to sleep on the sofa or go home 'cause I have no idea where the matt is."

The blond glanced at Zoro's quite wide bed and at the closed door of the bedroom. "I don't wanna, share your bed."

The green haired male scowled. "How about no? There definitely isn't enough space for two."

Sanji grinned in that insufferable, annoying way Zoro loved and hated at the same time. "What? You think I will do something inappropriate to you? Don't worry, I won't do anything to your chaste-self, I just want to sleep as soon as possible."

Not finding proper reasons to kick Sanji out and secretly craving the undoubted skin to skin contact he will get with Sanji Zoro gave up at the argument and put the extra blankets on his bed. "Fine, but I'm going to get washed up first."

"Fine, don't need to be so grumpy Marimo."

It was only five minutes later that the green haired teen walked into his room to find shit-cook sleeping soundly, bare of his suit pants, jacket and dress shirt and spotting only white undershirt and boxers. His face was relaxed and his mouth slightly opened as he slept; was he truly that tired that he fella sleep so fast?

Sighing the kendo champion climber over the blond sleeping almost on the very edge of the bed - almost as if he was keeping empty space for Zoro - and lied down face turned to the blonde's back. Feeling his eyes getting heavier and heavier with sleep the green haired man sighed. "And why do you have to be everything I ever wanted in a partner?" He whispered as he let his eyelids close.

Unknown to him a certain blond laid next to him with wide eyes and a smirk playing on his lips; so that's how it was?

A.N. Talk about chapter getting out of length… the usual length for these would be what? 200 – 800 words? :D Sorry if this got too long, I'm trying to get back to writing and this is my therapy… I still you've enjoyed my work ^-^.
