Hiros eyes shot open everything came rushing back to him. Kreis attack, there race, Gogo… Everything fell in place in his mind. Than he heard Wasabis voice, "Hey Hiro you're awake. I told you to keep your hands away from that electrical outlet."
His mind flashed back, Brains shocking Beymax, him falling from his his back as the magnets in his suit blowing up."Your Aunt Cass is in the room." Wasabi whispered, then switched back to his normal voice. "You're never going to believe it man, Krei just attacked the school."
"What? I thought he was gone. No ones seed him for years." Hiro played along with the ruse. He sat up, his head spun and he felt like he just bit a livewire.
"Well he's back now." Hiro turned to his friends voice, he sat in his computer chair pulled up next to his bed, Aunt Cass leaned against the staircase wall, she didn't look happy. Wasabi on the other hand had an obvious false smile, his sad eyes giving him away.
"Ya, did everyone make it out okay?"
"Brains got shocked grabbing you from that outlet, Gogo…"
"What happened to Gogo?"
"She was taken to a hospital. I haven't heard from Honey Lemon yet."
"Hows Brains?"
"Haven't heard from Fred eather."
"I didn't ask about Fred, hows Brains? And where's Beymax?" A hint of anger crept in his voice.
"There both with Fred, i told him to take them to his house so you didn't try to immediately launch into repairs." He gave Hiro a pointed look. "You need to rest while the electricity works its way out of your system."
A ding from down stairs and Aunt Cass disappeared. "I feel like i need to burn energy, why should I rest and leave Krei out there to do whatever he sees fit." He no longer hid the anger inside him.
"Because you need a cool head before you fight him again, we know how you feel. We've know Gogo longer than you, none as intimate but time make up for that. You don't think all of us are hurt? You don't think all of us want to take Krei down? All of us do, we desperately want to take him down so we can mourn Gogo without the fear of being attacked. You of all people should know how that feels, and how important it is to keep a level head." He drew in a deep breath, Hiro could barely take it. He was on the verge of breaking again.
"Everyone of us wants Krei to be stopped, and were going to do it. But remember what we said the last time this happened, 'we didn't sign up for this.' Hiro everything that happened after that, none of us expected. We were ready to quit, than we saw you watching Tadashi's video. That was when we realized you were still just a kid. You need some guidance, you were strict with shock and grief and you didn't know how to deal with it. So you did the one thing that made sense to you, you attacked the man that ruined your life and killed your brother and felt no remorse about it. You may still be young but you're not a kid anymore, your graduating college. You've been through a lot, your parents, your only brother, but not Gogo. Gogos going to make it. We all know she will, we just have to believe."
Hiro sat on the verge of tears, somethings wrong, why was Aunt Cass so mad? "Wasabi, why was Aunt Cass so mad?"
"Probably because you scared her half to death when i came in. She believes the electric circuit thing, but i don't know how long that will last."
"Thanks for the cover, but i would really like to be alone right now." His voice shook with every word. He could feel the pain and sorrow welling up inside of him, even overcoming the rage that still brewed inside.
"No can do little man, Kreis still out there. He attacked this place once before, he can do it again."
"Can we at least go see Gogo and Honey?"
"If your Aunt Cass is okay with it than i guess i am."
Fred awkwardly sat in a chair, in his bed room. Heathcliff hadn't asked questions about why anything was happening. He just helped Fred load them into the limo, and then out when they got home. Beymax stood stock straight, arms clamped to his side, against the far wall. Brains laid on his bed just a few feet away. He silently cursed Wasabi for having him do this. He looked at Brains as she slept, she is really pretty, and she liked me first. I don't know what i should do I can't break her heart right now. He flashed back to her attempted suicide. Her pale body, looking more fragile than normal. What do i do?! He slammed a mental fist into his mental walls, his mind floated back to the first time they met. He gave her that nickname when she said she had no name that she knew about.
His sentiment was broken when Brains stirred, a groan escaped her mouth. Fred shot to her side and waited for her eyes to open. His eyes were met with beautiful Amber eyes, droopily opening. She yawned and reached up to stretch her arms, and rub her face. Her eyes locked with Freds, "Fred…" Her voice still heavy with drowsiness. "Where am I?"
"Your at my house, Wasabi took charge after Hiro got knocked out and he had us split up. I took you and Beymax here, Wasabi took Hiro to his Aunt Casses house and Honey took Gogo to the hospital." He cast his eyes to the ground.
She reached out a hand and pulled up is chin so he was looking at her again, "shes going to be fine Fred. Shes Gogo, nothing can stop her." Than her drowsiness overcame her again and she fell back to her deep sleep.
