I don't own OUAT; I only own Ava
"So where did you sleep last night?" Henry asked.
I choked on my sip of water, "I just found an empty hut and crashed."
Henry looked at me sceptically before nodding.
"The sooner I get off this island the better." I grumbled as I watched boys act like idiots.
"Ouch," Henry exclaimed before standing up.
I turned to see some boy pointing a point stick at Henry.
"What the hell?"
"So you're the kid Pan has been looking for all. This. Time?" The boy prodded Henry with his weapon.
"Back off," I warned. He smirked, before pointing the weapon at me.
"Stop it" Henry shouted.
"If you can't take this, how are you going to handle what Pan has in store for you?" He swiped at me again, nicking my arm.
Henry looked angry before grabbing a stick.
"Henry, stop it." I said.
The two began sparring with their makeshift weapons whilst the boys cheered them on. He took a lunge at Henry but much to my surprise, the kid blocked him.
"Not bad," a voice cut in. "But wouldn't it be more fun with real swords?" Pan said, circling Henry.
"I've never used a real sword," Henry said as his eyes followed Pan.
"This is Neverland and you have the heart of the truest believer. You can use whatever you want."
"God, he's annoying." I said under my breath. I looked to my left to find Dylan smirking at me. I remembered I hadn't been able to put my plan into action because I was knocked out or being slammed against a tree every three seconds. I gave him a smile in return before turning back to my brother.
"You just need to believe, Henry."
"Close your eyes and believe you're holding a real sword," I widened my eyes as Henry was suddenly holding said weapon.
"What are you waiting for?" Pan urged him.
"Henry, don't you dare!" I shouted. My brother ignored me before lunging at the defenceless boy.
"Go for it; keep going!" Pan shouted. I cringed as Henry cut the boy's makeshift weapon in two.
I ran forward, but not before Henry could slice the boy's cheek. Without hesitation I jumped in front of the boy as Henry swung again. The sword stopped inches from my face.
"Henry, that's enough." I said with authority in my voice. The boy behind me clutched his face as Henry dropped the sword.
"I'm sorry," he said. "It was an accident." I just stared at him.
"Don't you know the best thing about being a lost boy?" Pan bent to pick up the sword. "Never apologise."
The lost boys started cheering as Pan raised Henry's arm over his head. I rolled my eyes before grabbing the injured boy and dragging him over to a seat whilst the boys all celebrated.
"What are you doing?" he said grumpily.
"Just stay still," I said looking at the sorry cut on his cheek. I ripped a strip of my top, dipping it in water before turning back to him.
""I don't need your help," he said, embarrassed. I gave him a glare before starting to clean his cut.
"Don't act all though," I said as he hissed.
"That hurts."
"Good," I put pressure on his face. "That will teach you for picking a fight."
"I didn't expect him to just imagine – up a sword."
I frowned "Yeah, well I guess Neverland is just full of surprises."
"I'm sorry for hurting your arm," he said, cheeks flushed. "I just got carried away."
"I'm not that fragile," I smirked.
"Yeah, but you shouldn't hit girls."
"Tell that to Pan," I grumbled. Watching him flaunt Henry around, completely ignoring his injured lost boy.
"You should probably clean that before it gets infected." He said.
"Do you want to do it for me?" I asked. "I really can't be bothered."
He nodded before looking around for something to use as a cloth. I took the borrowed, tattered shirt off; leaving me in my trousers and a sports bra.
He didn't seem to bother about it; he just avoided looking at my cleavage. I held in a laugh.
He started to clean the cut on my arm.
"So what's your name?" I asked.
"Elliot," he said.
"I'm Ava." I said, hissing as he put pressure on my wound.
"It's nice to meet you, Ava." He said kindly; which was surprising for a lost boy. I heard a wolf whistle ad Dylan approached us. This alerted the attention of Felix and Pan.
"Well, what do we have here?" Dylan smirked.
"Shut up, Dylan I'm just cleaning her wound." Elliot said.
"Doesn't look like it," Felix said with his club resting on his shoulders. Pan just crossed his arms, looking angry-ish.
"What's wrong, jealous?" I smiled.
"Stop playing, Ava." Peter ground out.
"Aren't you ashamed of yourself, Elliot?" Felix said with a twisted smirk on his face. "You attack a special guest and then lose. You call yourself a lost boy?"
"Right, I'm sick of this. Thank you, Elliot for cleaning my wound." I leant over giving him a quick peck on the cheek before wandering off to find my delinquent brother.
"What the hell was that?" I heard Pan shout to Elliot, who was in a state of shock.
I sat, looking at the ground as Henry begged for forgiveness. He had been doing so for the last five minutes.
"Please talk to me, Ava. It was an accident."
I raised an eyebrow.
"I'm sorry! I'll never do it again," he pulled that adorable face he did when he wanted something. I hugged him close.
"I just don't want to lose you, kiddo. You're the only family I have."
I smiled at him before glaring at the approaching figure.
"Hate to break up the family bonding session but I need your sister to accompany me on an errand."
"Can't the almighty Peter Pan do it himself?" I questioned.
"Ava," Pan said shortly.
"See you later," I kissed Henry's forehead before trailing after Peter.
"Where are we going?" I questioned as I stumbled behind him. I couldn't see a thing because it was pitch black. I slowed down, trying to find my footing in the darkness. I tried to concentrate of following the noise of Pan's footsteps but I couldn't hear any.
I took a shaky breath; I couldn't see anything but the faint outline of the trees around me.
"Pan?" I questioned. This could be my chance to escape; if only it wasn't pitch black.
You can't run forever.
"P-Pan?" I said, stumbling back. I whipped my head around, seeing nothing but dark outlines of trees.
"Pan?" I said, feeling my chest constricting. I was alone.
You are mine, Ava. Red eyes stared at me from the dark of the forest.
"Peter!" I screamed.
A whooshing sound made me jump.
"You called?" a voice whispered in my ear. I almost stumbled to the ground, but a pair of hands caught my shoulders.
"Now what's got my dear, sweet Ava in such a state, hmm?" he hummed. I stayed silent raising my hands to feel the fabric of his sleeves.
"Why so quiet?" he asked, conjuring up a fire ball in his hand which illuminated his face and mine. His other hand moved from my shoulder to my face. "You should learn to keep up, Ava."
He grabbed my hand, pulling me along with him. "Stay close, you'll enjoy this little check- up."
"Check – up?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said shortly as we reached a clearing. I never realized how high up we were.
"Pan, what-" he put a hand over my mouth.
"Don't pull him up yet."
Killian!?
"I want to talk, alone." Peter said. The pirate turned, eyes widening as he saw me.
"What do you want," Killian asked, dumping the rope and approaching us cautiously. Pan let go of my mouth but kept hold of my hand.
"To offer you a deal; I want you to come back and work for me – like the old days."
He scoffed, "I don't miss the old days."
"What if I was to offer you something very hard to come by?" Killian eyed me; I shook my head signalling him not to listen to Pan.
Suddenly, I was right in front of Killian and I could smell the familiar scent of rum and salt. Did we just teleport?
"A passage of the Island," Pan continued.
"Still not interested," Killian chuckled.
"What if I were to sweeten the deal?" Pan put a hand on by bare back, Killian shot him a look.
"Don't touch her, you Demon." Pan chuckled.
"You can take someone with you, Emma."
"Emma would never leave her son," Killian said. I shot him a look.
"You're not seriously considering this are you?" I asked, Killian just stared at me before turning back to Pan who had left my side to pace.
"She did once before and you can be there to pick up the pieces."
"We've known each other a very long time Killian; we've done business before."
"You worked with him?" I interrupted, glaring at the gorgeous pirate. "You better have told Emma."
"-And I think now is the perfect time to restart that relationship."
"And what if I'm not interested?" Killian said.
"Of course you are because that's what I've always liked about you. You're good at surviving." Pan approached him.
"What do you want me to do?"
"You can't be serious!" I said.
"You'll do my dirty work."
"What dirty work?"
"When the time comes I'll let you know," Pan looked at him intently. I was somewhat angry that Killian was giving in; but part of me knew he didn't really have a choice.
"But first I need to see that you've taken my deal."
"My word, right now, wouldn't be enough?"
"You know me."
Suddenly Pan was behind Killian, "I like action."
I couldn't help it. I let out a little giggle.
"But first, I can tell you're itching to check up on Ava. So do so. Come here, sweetheart."
I cautiously made my way over and Killian grabbed my arms, eyes wandering all over me searching for injuries.
"Are you alright, love?" I nodded, inhaling his scent. I grew to be friends with Killian; we had a mutual understanding.
"How's my mom?" I asked.
"Sarcastic as ever, He hasn't hurt you has he, Ava?"
I hesitated which made Killian turn round in anger. "Don't lay a finger on her; she has nothing to do with this."
Pan laughed, "Of course she does. She took the water, she's here to stay."
Killian turned back to me, "You took it!?"
"What else was I going to do!?" I exclaimed, tears forming. "He tricked me!"
"This can't be happening. She's an innocent victim here, Pan. She's seventeen years old!"
"Oh I know that," he smirked.
"Let her go Pan, let her be with her mother and Emma."
"Let me think about that… No." he stated.
"Why not?" Killian ground out.
"Because then Henry will start asking questions." Pan said.
"Killian," I said. "I'll be fine; I'll take care of Henry." He pulled me into a hug.
"Don't let him do anything, Ava. Don't trust him."
"Now that's enough," Pan appeared right next to us. "I'll know you've taken our deal when I see the Prince's dead body up on that peak."
AN: Woo, Hook!
