I walked towards Lux's dorm. As I drew closer, I heard noises coming from inside. I opened the door and walked in.
"Lux?"

I heard a muttered curse. It sounded like it had come from the bedroom. I walked over, and saw a sight that horrified me.

"Ahsoka!"

My eyes watered, and I went running from the room.

POV: Barriss Offee

I walked serenely through the halls of the Jedi Temple, no specific destination in mind. I had felt like going for a walk. My comlink beeped.

"Offee."

"Hi, Barriss," Ahsoka's voice came from the comlink.

Even through the comlink, I could tell something was wrong.

"Can you come get me?"

She sounded upset.

"Sure. Where are you, Ahsoka?"

She told me, and I flew out.

When I got to the coordinates, she was sitting on the ground, a ball rocking weakly on the ground. She looked up as I approached. Her eyes were red and watery. I sat down next to her.

"What's wrong, Ahsoka?"
"I don't want to talk about it, Barriss."

"Here, why don't I take you to lunch?"
She nodded.

"That sounds great, Barriss."
We headed to Dex's diner. We slid into the seat.

"Alright, it might actually help me to say," she said weakly.
She reached her hands across the table and grabbed mine.

"It's Lux. Today I got back from the mission to Kashyyyk. Well, I headed to Lux's dorm to tell him I was back. Oh, and there's more. I had news I needed to share. I'm pregnant. I was going to tell him about it, and I caught him, with another girl!"

"That son of a…. Is there anything I can do to help, Ahsoka?"
She slammed down the pregnancy test in front of me and nodded.

"Just be a friend, Barriss. That's all you can do," she said.

"Who was this other girl?"

"I don't know."
"Can you describe her?"
I pulled out my datapad and opened a Republic database.

"Yes. She was blonde. She had green eyes. She was human. She also had dark skin."

I typed in the search parameters. A picture came up.

"Is this her?"

"Yes. That's her."
"Mira Goldwing. Not much is known. Says here she lives in the lower levels."

Dex came over.

"What can I do for you ladies today?"

We ordered. Dex fed the order to the kitchen.

"May I?"

I nodded, and the cheerful Besalisk sat down next to me.

"So, what's bothering you?"

"What?"
"I can tell something's wrong, ladies. What can I do?"

"Well, I don't think you can do anything, Dex. But I'll tell you. Can you keep a secret?"

"Yes."
"Alright. Ahsoka has been dating a senator named Lux Bonteri. She's pregnant. Today, she went to tell him the news and she caught him cheating on her."

"I'm really sorry to hear that," Dex said, "who was the other girl?"

"Mira Goldwing."

"I'll see if I can damage their reputations."
