"Hiro!" Everyone shouted, but Beymax wasn't about to let his patient fall to his death. He changed his flight plan and grabbed Hiro by the collar of his suit. Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
Brains, fearing a little more for her life after that stunt, quickly raised her arm attempting to blast the distracted mastermind with an arc of lightning. But her only response was a slight crackle and a pop, "guys, in suit needs to recharge." She spoke as calmly as possible down her coms. She quickly examined the area for a better hiding spot, but was distracted from her task when the blonde chemist arrived beside her.
"How does your suit recharge anyway? Hold that thought." She typed away on her purse and it spit out two orenge chem balls. "I'm going to have to field set your bone, this is going to hurt. Alot." Before Brains could even speak, the blonde grabbed both sides of her arm and attempted to set it through sheer force. Brains screamed at the top of her lungs, but shortly after she Honey started, she slapped the chem balls on either side of her arm. The chemicals morphed and spread around her arm, till they slowly hardened and locked into place.
Brains spoke through gritted teeth, "Thanks Honey, it feels a little better. The suit recharges itself." She drew in a few sharp breaths to try and calm the radiating pain from her arm.
"Gravity Crush!" blared in everyones ears as Fred jumped into the air with his super jumping boots, letting gravity do the work as he fell straight at Krei. But Krei was too fast, he threw up a wall of microbots just over himself. Fred fell hard onto the wall, and slowly slid to the ground. He got to one knee and muttered into his coms, "I got to stop doing that." He shook his head to try and nullify the pain of that fail.
"You think?" Hiro sarcastically asked down his coms, while quickly attempting to fire off another sonic blast, but to no avail. "Guys something's wrong. It's not like the docks i can jam the signal, i can't even touch him with it." Hiro though for a second, "But that means it will be like old time. getting the mask means game over."
"I'll give it a try!" Gogo shouted, she made a beeline for Krei, who inture shot tendrils out to try and block her path. But Gogo just used them to her advantage, using them like a skater would use a rail to grind on. She reached the apex of her bot grind and jumped off toward krei, she reached for the mask, but couldn't quite get her fingers around it, so she settled for a hard right hook to the jaw, causing him to stagger for a few seconds.
"You bitch, you're alway in my way!" He screamed, going for a retaliation with a dark slash of bots, but by the time he had recovered she was already on the ground. She spun around, skating backwards for a stretch. She raised her middle finger to Krei and watched as Wasabi slashed at the bots on the ground, cutting them down like lambs to a slaughter. Beymax was hot on Wasabis heels, letting out another rocket fist, that dug into the earth in front of the black mass of bots.
"I will run a self diagnostics." Beymax spoke, "complete, all systems green." He turned his head to face his partner. "If all systems are fine, them why am i missing so much."
"Blame it on the flying buddy."
Beymax turned back around, satisfied with his answer, to see a wave of bots about to collide with him, "oh no." Neither had time to react before the bots crashed into beymaxs armor, Hiro white knuckle gripped the magnetized socket. It was shaky but beymax soon stabilized, a large gash in his breastplate.
Brains was watching, waiting for her suit to recharge. She popped out of her hiding spot to take a shot, but was met with a sweeping arc of microbots, she immediately tried to duck behind the tree again. As soon as she turned her back, the bots slammed into her, sending her crashing to the ground, landing hard on her broken arm. She screamed in pain, shouting as many curse words as she could think of. She scrambled to sit against the tree, leaning over her broken arm. She held her non broken arm around the tree and firing randomly. lightning streaked across the sky, cutting into a wave of bots on it's way to strike Beymax and Hiro again. The static shock arced between them, destroying thousands, but a rogue bolt jumped from the wave of bots and into Hiros arm band, frying it's circuits and giving Hiro a good shocking. "Brains watch where you're shooting!" Hiro called down his thankfully undamaged coms.
Brains couldn't even respond, the pain had spread all through her body, she was using everything she had not to cry and to stay in cover. She opened her eyes, the edges of her vision darkened and her normal vision swam with tears unshed. But she still could make out the bright pink suit of Honey Lemon. She heard her speak but all she could register was the pain that throbbed all across her body.
Than Freds monster feet came into view, the temperature around them seemed to increase two fold, as Fred breathed fire to try and ward off the microbots from coming this way. "How's she doing Honey?" He shouted over the roar of the flames.
"I don't know what's happening, this is not what i'm good at. We need Beymax down here." panic gripped her voice, her normal contagiously happy tone was gone, fear and panic in it's place.
"I'm on my way, get down there buddy." Hiro pointed them out. Beymax was on the ground in seconds. "Scan Brains, everyone else we got to keep up our offence so we can cover Beymax. That means a smoke screen would be nice."
Fred, Gogo, and Honey all spoke at the same time, "On it!" Honey produced a few chem balls from her purse and chucked them into the air, they were by the intense heat of Freds fire. A fine shroud of gas filled the area, hiding everyone from sight. Gogo continued her offence, rolling in a circle around her enemy and on saluting him with disks, he narrowly pulled up bots to his defence. The disks bounced off their hard shells, but not without taking a large group with them.
"right behind you Gogo." He jumped at the preoccupied Krei, "Spinning blades of Fury!" Krei recoiled away from the spinned plasma sowards, he didn't have time to get bots up to stop his attack, and the few that barely touched his feet did nothing to slow his attack. He collided with his target, one plasma sword lodged into Kries waste a few inches deep. Krei howled in pain, and wavered for a few seconds while screaming. Blood sprayed from his wound, coating Wasabi's blades in a dark red liquid that Wasabi had to take deep breaths to avoid vomiting from. After a few seconds of wavering, almost teetering on the verge of life and death, Krei falls face forward onto Wasabi. The microbots, not longer under the control of anyone, fell innate to the earth, blood coating the top layer of bots closest to the two men. "I got him!" Wasabi shouted, he turned off his plasma blades and checked his pulse on his neck, when he got nothing he went to his wrist. "Guys i think i got him too much, I can't find a pulse!"
So that last roll was 1d20+7 = 27, he rolled perfect on to hit, than damage (mind you Krei has 10 Hp left.) 1d8+3 = 7+3=10. He rolled perfectly to kill Krei, i don't know if he actually will die, i guess we'll find out next Chp. (Ps: Brains rolled a to see who she would hit when she fired blindly, she rolled Hiros number, then rolled to hit and rolled a 1. So she rerolled the to hit and hit Krie. Thats why that happened, she was one damage off from halving his health.)
Th3Ph4nt0miz3r: Thanks, i thought about it because i can barely micro 4 people in a conversation, so 8 people in combat. That's really hard. (That's also why Gogo one on one fought Ugi in the last story!)
