Sesshoumaru waited, his body slowly realizing just how late at night it was.
Kagome was slowly sobering up and was slowly realizing the gravity of the situation. She bolted up and ran out of the room and down the hallway. She didn't know why she was running away, just that the moment the alcohol wore away she felt embarrassed. Although she didn't know where exactly she was going, she just knew it was in the opposite direction of where Sesshoumaru was.
When she finally stopped running, she was in the garden. Everything was dark aside from a few lanterns illuminating the walkway. She looked around, trying to remember which way she had come from. She tried to find her way back, only to succeed in getting even more lost.
She continued wandering, unable to discern from which direction she actually came. After a while, she became tired and sat under a willow tree.
She was trying to clear her head when she was yanked backwards into the tall lemongrass behind her. She couldn't see who had a hold of her, but it appeared to be a man with broad shoulders.
The man leaned forward, and the moon lit up his face.
"Inuyasha!"
