stars15963: Thanks. IKR school gets in the way of everything ;)but I'd get so bored with out it. My literature teacher is hilarious.

Sorry about this chapter. It really doesn't have any big events. Although Leo comes in. So how bad could it possibly be.

It was a few week till Jason, Leo and Piper came back. It didn't take long for Leo and I to become friends. I understood the things he said. His jokes and his loneliness. I could see past the gleam in his eyes. His eyes were exactly like mine. Already broken, hiding hoping people wouldn't notice. Yet, at the same time wishing they would so they could come and try to rebuild you.

Once something is broken though, it never can fully be rebuilt to the way it was. Percy for example. The savior of Olympus, He'll never be the same. Sure he might look OK,but when he fully lets his guard down. Which is only once in a lifetime, you can see it. Any lie he was told, the hurt and betrayal in his eyes.

Leo was the same way. He laughed and told light in his eyes shone dimly to me. I'm surprised he's kept it up this long. With Piper and Jason third wheeling him, and the foster care system.

I was sitting on the beach waiting till he got out of lunch. I've been helping him build the Argo II. It was a lot of fun and it might lead us to Percy. I was waiting for at least ten minutes when he finally came.

He smiled at me and I smiled right back. "How was lunch?" I ask him.

"Better than I was on a quest." He says then thoughtfully adds. "Although I do miss my own cooking."

I grin at him and look directly into his eyes. Then both of us stop smiling. Slowly the light keeps dimming in his eyes.

"I don't want your sympathy." He says trying to stand up.

I grab his arm and look back at him. " Yeah, I know what its like. People always thinking something is wrong with you because you're hurt."

He sits back down. He's let all the walls down by now. His dark brown eyes look at me with that look I get when I think about Matt.

"I'd like to hear your story." he says a few minutes later.

"It started when I was eight. I woke up that day my mom made me breakfast, she said she was going to trust me to stay home for ten minutes alone well she dropped my brother off as school. She never came back. Neither did my brother. So I bounced around the foster care system till I was nine then a satyr found me and brought me here. Then I fought a little over the summer with the Hermes cabin. Then after Percy got the gods to claim everyone I was claimed"

He looks at me, "Yours is a lot more hurt than mine. Its all my fault too." He says putting his head into his hands.

"I'm sure that not what everyone thinks." I says scooting over closer to him.

"well… promise you won't tell anyone. I mean anyone." He says looks at me with wide eyes.

"I promise." I say . You know that point where you're so sincere it almost sounds fake to yourself. Leo obviously trusted it.

"Gaea was going to kill my mother. She had locked her in the workshop that we were in. I panicked and tried to destroy her using fire. I ended up killing her." His voice becomes quieter with every word.

" I know this will sound harsh but I'm sure this is correct," I start and he looks at me with a little bit of hope. " Yes , technically it is your fault, but it's the fact that you were trying to save her that counts."

He smiles a light in his eyes returns a little. " I don't think I can bring your mother here, but if I ever talk to her I promise I'm telling her all about such a naughty boy you've been." I say and can't help but grin at him as I say it.

He laughs and says, "Yeah I'll start making the list for you. I'm sure most of the camp will want to add things too."

"Well I got to go. I Chiron that I'd help him today." I say standing up and brushing off my pants.

" What are you helping with?" He asks.

"He had someone ask how wings work so I'm being living example." I say grinning at him.

"So basically you're going and showing off how your wings work."

"Yep" He nods thoughtfully.

I got up and walked to big house to meet Chiron.

"Hello Chiron" I say as I walk towards him.

"Hello Claire." He said with a smile. "Ready?"

"As I'll ever be." I say turning to walk beside him. "So what exactly am I doing?"

" Basically I need you to stand there with your wings out. I might need you to fly to show them things." He says.

" Okay." I say then we see Piper and Jason. I smile, Leo doesn't hate them yet.

"Hello." I call to them. They wave back halfheartedly. We're near the entrance to the forge, which probably means they supposed to be helping Leo but are out here kissing instead.

"What you guys doing?" I ask knowing exactly what they are going to say.

"We're helping Leo, we're just taking a break now." Jason says flashing me a gleaming smile as he pats Piper's back.

" From now one, can you make Leo take a break to when you do?" Chiron asks. He caught onto my attitude.

"Sure why not. He's always working it will be good for him." Jason says. He is able to hide his disappointment easily compared to Piper. Her face kinda drops a little.

"bye" I say as Chiron waves they just wave back and we continue forward.

I spent the next hour and a half standing with my wings out in different positions. Flying as slow as possible, fast as possible, and trying to hover. Which is physically impossible. Wings are meant for traveling. Human forms are not meant for wings.

It was almost dinner by the time I got out. I quickly walked back to my cabin to clean up. I quickly went in and did so.

Then the thought came to me. Remembering it now, I wish it had never crossed my mind at all. All it would do was make me sad and worried.

Where was Nico?
