Kagome followed him down a narrow corridor. It had no windows, no lights, and no doors. She couldn't see the end of it, but at the speed they were going, she'd see it in no time. Kagome couldn't help but wonder where Rin was. With all the panic, she'd forgotten.
She tried to get Sesshomaru to stop for a moment so she could ask him, but he was focused on getting her to wherever this tunnel ended.
After what seem like eternity, Sesshomaru began slowing down, then stopped in front of a large welded iron door. He rotated a large piece of metal, then inserted a key into a secret opening.
The door swung open. It was just a room.
"Kagome!" Rin ran up to her and hugged her tightly. "Are you going to keep me company?"
Sesshomaru replied before Kagome could. "Yes. You and Kagome are going to stay here until I get back." He then shut the door, and Kagome could hear the big door locking.
"Do you know why they locked us in here?" Rin asked, smirking.
Kagome curious asked; "Why?"
"They had some monster locked up downstairs and it got out and hurt some of the servants. I heard Jaken yelling out to the guards when I was making tea, and I ran over to look. I couldn't get close enough to see anything, but Jaken was screaming about a prisoner being on the loose. Then Dai Onna and one of the guards started carrying some hurt people into another room." Rin smiled. "I help Dai Onna get stuff to help them fix the hurt people. I was really good at it!"
Kagome smiled, intent upon not showing the worry that lie beneath the surface.
Why had Inuyasha broken out? Why did he hurt those poor people?
Then it clicked. She remember the time she had seen him lemongrass of the garden. He'd had shards of the Shikon Jewel imbedded in his arm.
It must be corrupting him! He's becoming more evil. Soon he won't be able to become normal again.
A/N- Hey. Sorry this one's kinda short. I'm going for more of a short, but frequent approach. I'm back in full swing now. I had some real issues with my computer, but now I've got a new one, so I'll be updating a lot more often. Anyways, I know it's kind of short, but I'll be updating a lot more, so yay. Hope you enjoyed this chapter! I'll see you in the next one.
