The sunlight came streaming in causing Alicia's skin to glow. Will lay there watching her, wishing he could just watch the day go by and lay there by her side. Unfortunately the world outside was calling and they both had a lot of work to do. Alicia especially so since she had played hooky from work to get drunk with her best friend the day before. In fact she had was up against him in court in just a few hours It would be the first time since they had become an official couple that they would face off in a courtroom, and Will was both excited and intrigued. That was why against his wishes for the day he began kissing her awake.

Alicia rolled away from the onslaught of attention and the glaringly bright sunlight. She didn't want to wake up yet. She wasn't ready. Opening her eyes meant dealing with the exact situation she had attempted to drink herself into oblivion to avoid. However the onslaught continued followed by a sound that was annoying and yet it was one of the loveliest sounds she had heard,

"Alicia, you have to get up now, you have to go to court so I can kick your ass," Will said to her in a sing-song voice.

Alicia covered her eyes and sneered at Will,

"I can kick your ass in court drunk, hung over, and with a case file I've only had for an hour, you may be the better lawyer but I have more to lose. Now go away unless you have pain medication and or a very large cup of coffee."

With that Alicia rolled over on her stomach and tried to hide her eyes from the dazzling brilliance of Will's smile.

"Ahh Ahh Aaa, rise and shine sweetheart, I have to pick Kalinda up and you don't have any clean clothes here so unless you want to go to court in a suit that you wore for 5 hours in a bar you'd better get that sweet little ass of yours in the shower. "

The only response Will received was an aggravated "Ugh." Will climbed out of bed and headed to the kitchen to start coffee, he knew that "saint Alicia" would prevail and as much as she didn't want to get out of bed it would only be a matter of minutes before she was up and at it no matter what she felt like.

Sure enough as Will was pouring a second cup of coffee having already taken a few sips of his own, Alicia padded out of the bedroom with a look of pure disgust on her face

"coffee"

Will handed Alicia the cup and 2 Advil™ liquigels.

"Ready to face the day slugger?" Will was having entirely too much fun being an ornery ass this morning and it was irritating Alicia more than usual as she had the distinct feeling she had been run over by a steam roller.

"I'm too old for this shit."

Alicia finished her coffee in two gulps and walked out of the room heading for the shower, she'd put Will in his place later but she needed time to get her thoughts together first.

By the time she got out of the shower she felt better and was ready to start the day, she was dressed from head to toe in borrowed clothes, The shirt two sizes too big, the sweat pants rolled at the waist three times with the socks on her feet being a few sizes too big as well. As she walked out of the bedroom Will was stunned at how beautiful she looked. He was fairly certain it was the times when she thought she looked her worst that she was the most amazing thing he had ever seen. Will had used the other bathroom to shower so when she emerged from the bed room he was ready to go but he went to her and gently held her face in his hands before leaning into a kiss filled with passion, he poured all the love he felt into the kiss. As their tongues danced, Alicia's arm came around Will's neck. It was a kiss filled with heat but it was also full of love, love Alicia hadn't thought actually existed and a love that Will had only imagined he'd ever receive from Alicia.

When they came up for air Alicia stepped back and smiled at him, neither needed to speak the words, both understood the feelings.

"Let's get this show on the road I still have to get my hair done and figure out the best outfit to wear when I hand you your ass in court today."

Will drove and dropped Alicia off at her apartment, and left her with a kiss. Luckily the press apparently hadn't gotten wind of Peter's most recent affair, but Alicia knew that wouldn't last long but she had decided on the ride over from Will's apartment that she would give Peter until the day before the story was set to release before she contacted him, assuming of course that he didn't contact her sooner. Alicia was sure that the moment she had left the room Eli had taken her place and was already deep in the throes of devising a plan and she secretly hoped that he would take all the problems out of her hands so she wouldn't have to stress on it.

Alicia did her hair and applied her makeup, she spent a little extra time assuring that she looked her best, she too had realized the significance of today's court appearance and while it seemed a little like cheating she wanted to look her best to throw Will off his game. She had picked a new suit out to wear, it was a deep red and the jacket buttoned up to a deep V, the outfit hugged her in all the right places, and the skirt ended about 2 inches above her knee. She completed the look with a pair of black stiletto pumps that made her legs look miles long and if she stood next to Will she'd be about an inch taller than him. With a brief glance at the mirror, Alicia headed out the door to catch a cab to the offices of Florrick|Agos for about an hour before she was due in court.

Will was already sitting at the defense table when he heard the door to the courtroom open, he didn't have to turn around to notice who had walked in as he immediately recognized the sound of her high heels on the tile of the courtroom. To be honest he was a little nervous to look, he knew she would have pulled out all the stops today, it was one of the things he loved about her, even if she loved him, she'd do anything to avoid giving him the upper hand. When he did turn it took everything he had not to gasp, he had seen her in every kind of clothing but she had never looked this stunning before. And she dealt him a final blow when she made eye contact and flashed him an exquisite smile.

Will sat at his table and much like the other times when he found himself opposing Alicia, his thoughts went to other times, her outfit today reminded him of another day in court, when he had not been on the case and was merely watching her from the gallery. She had swiftly put the lawyer who was objecting her in his place and Will had barely managed to keep from tearing her clothes off as they had walked in the door of his apartment. It was something about Alicia in the color red. Something that drove him wild, especially when you combined it with her mesmerizing voice as it argued in court. He knew from the start of her opening statement that he was going to be in a lot of trouble with this case, but he couldn't bring himself to care.

By the time Judge Abernathy called recess for the day, Will was in a fine state. He watched her leave the courtroom, and he took his time following her until she stepped into the elevator. He took a few hurried steps to join her and quickly held the door close button down to prevent anyone else from joining them. Without asking her he selected the garage level and turned to her. He was fairly certain that he moved first but it was hard to tell as they pulled each other close, it was as if a tornado had clashed with a hurricane and their hands covered as much territory as they could in a few moments. As they came up to breathe Will whispered breathily in Alicia's ear,

"I think that I've found myself on the losing side of the case today, and as I watch you in this suit I can't seem to focus on anything other than thoughts of peeling it off of you, and watching you tremble as I follow the suit with my tongue."

Alicia's sharp intake of breath assured Will that his words had done to her what she had been doing to him for the past 2 hours. Unfortunately for them the elevator ride was over and both of them ,however much they wished to continue the encounter had to return to their respective law firms. As they exited the elevator and headed to their cars they exchanged a look full of promise for the next time they were together, which based on the elevator ride would be as soon as possible after work.

But back in the courthouse, unknown to either lawyer, someone watched the two battle it out in court and they surely did not miss the exit to the elevator.
