I'm back for the second to last time. Hope you like Cleora. She's only mentioned in this chapter.
Madgirl013: Yes, Yes I did! :)
I don't own the Percy Jackson series or The Heroes of Olympus
I watched Zane and Christina carefully, I knew what was going to happen. They were fourteen. Cupid had these two, my father had Cleora. We were sitting in the dining hall in Camp Jupiter. Zane and Christina were officially part of the fifth cohort.
We had moved out from New Rome to a neighborhood that the Gods made, we were safe. Part of the rule of living there was that there would be no mention of the Gods. You could raise your kid kind of like the mortals.
Zane and Christina had been led here at our request. They seemed so surprised. So amazed by everything. Cleora was at home with my father.
"So how do we know who your godly parent is?" Zane asked the boy who was leading them around.
"They'll claim you. Which one of your parents were you missing?" He asked them, taking a bite of bread.
They shared a glance, "We had both." They said at the same time.
"Well which one do you look more like?" He responded.
"Our father." Zane said. Christina was oddly quiet since she got here.
"Then he is probably one of your actual birth parents, or your legacies." He said not looking at them.
"So how long till they might claim us?" Christina asked quietly.
"I don't know, depends on who they are." He said biting into something else. "Oh, hey Meadow, Jon, Eva, come meet the new kids." He called out.
Eva was the first to introduce herself, "Hi, I'm Eva, legacy of Cupid and Timor." She said proudly.
"Oh, Hi. I'm uh, Zane this is my twin sister Christina." Zane said stuttering. He blushed deeply.
Owen leaned over and said,. "Just wait till he finds out that they are cousins." I giggled at him.
Five minutes later nothing had happened yet. Then there was a flash of light, then the sign of Cupid appeared over their heads. However it was fainted than most, signalling a Legacy.
"Well what do you know, we're cousins." Eva laughed. Zane looked utterly disappointed but he quickly wiped it from his face.
"Cupid." Christina said frowning slightly before smiling. Then both of them fell to the floor. Seconds later healers were at their sides. We had warned them of what would happen.
Ten minutes later Christina and Zane looked at confused as I probably did.
"Do you have wings?" Christina asked her cousins. They all shook their heads. Christina's wings were completely white. Zane's had a few varying in size, black dots.
"What do the wings mean?" Zayn asked looking at his. Christina was stroking her.
"They mean you're the descendant of somebody who has wings." Reyna said moving forward. "Owen, your father. Was the only one to have wings out of his six other brothers. Your mother is the daughter of Thanatos, Letus to us. The god of death. She also has wings. That's where the black splotches are from." She said gesturing to Christina and Zane.
"So why don't they live here?" Zayn asked.
"They chose to give you a taste of the mortal world." Reyna said almost without emotion.
"Why?" Christina asked.
"I wouldn't know." Reyna said.
"Welcome to the family." Eva cheered. Jon and Meadow cheered loudly.
They got patted on the back, and people kept talking to them.
I tapped Owen on the shoulder, "We should go wait outside for them." He nodded and we snuck outside.
Slowly people began to file out. Last to leave were Reyna and the twins. She gestured for them to look at us. Their eyes widened. The Reyna walked off. We walked up.
"Why didn't you tell us." Christina snapped.
"Reyna already said, you needed a chance to see what the mortals live like." I said calmly smiling at them.
"So it's true you both have wings." Zane said.
I pulled of my jacket off, then I took off the necklace. Then I moved my wings unbent them, Owen did the same after me. His had a charm, it was some symbol of Cupid.
"Oh, wow." Zane said. Both his and Christina's wings were still small. Mine easily had a wingspan of thirteen feet. They maybe had eight maybe eight and a half.
"So when will Cleo be joining us?" Zane asked eagerly. He nodded heavily. Christina groaned, she and Cleo didn't get along.
"She will start out at the Greek camp like your mother." Owen answered. He smiled. "Now we should let you two get settled in. We'll back at the end of summer to take you home till the same time next year, and then you'll come back."
"Bye, Mother. Bye Father." Zane said happily. He
"Bye." Christina grumbled. I'm not sure if it's because we're leaving or we were here.
"Any questions before we go?" I said slightly worried about my precious little angels.
"Yes, is it safe to fly?" Zane asked.
"Give a day, then it will be fine." I said. "Well bye, we'll see you both soon."
They quickly scampered off. "Shall we fly back. It'll be nice to stretch my wings." Owen said with a small yawn flapping his wings, which were even bigger than mine.
He took off running, I followed and jumped into the air before he could. Then I sent myself going as fast upward as I could. Owen attempted to follow me, he gave us a minute later.
Then I just stopped and let myself fall. I was out of sight from anyone on the ground.I felt the air pull my hair up as I fell somersaulting back down to the ground.
I thrust my wings out a few moments later. Quickly slowing my fall, then Owen caught me.
"Hey Sugar, fancy seeing you here. Did it hurt when you fell?" He asked grinning at me.
"Let me go." I said laughing.
"Fine." He laughed, then he threw me back into the air. Then he sighed as my wings caught me.
"What?" I asked
"I feel like I'm sixteen again. Just being up here, brings back all those memories." He sighed.
"I know, it all seems so strange looking back on it." I said, then I flew over and kissed him.
Hope you liked it, I'm going to miss all of you after I Finnish the last chapter. I may eventually have another Percy Jackson fanfiction, but it won't have anything to do with Clair.
I might have a Harry Potter fanfiction, I have a really good idea. Thanks. -Tyme.
