Thanks for everyone reading this and all the reviews. I can't believe this is the final chapter. Cleora is finally fourteen and coming to camp.
Madgirl013: Thanks for the idea. I'm not going to use that exactly but it inspired my idea which was originally based on that. Thank you for the idea. So there will probably be a sequel.
I don't own the Percy Jackson series or the Heroes of Olympus.
I carefully threaded into camp, with Cleora at my side. Her wings had already grown in. My father thought it best to let her adjust, to having them before she came to camp. Now we were here, we had gave a brief explanation to her.
I marched up to the big house and knocked on the door. Then I turned and grinned down at her.
Chiron opened the door without his wheelchair. Cleo gasped from behind me. "You're Chiron. You must be." She grinned.
"Yes, and you must be Cleora. We've been awaiting your arrival." He said smiling down at her, as she gazed up with wide eyes. She looked identical to me. The exact copy of the fourteen year old me. Her wings were completely black, without a spot of white. Her eyes were an innocent version of mine.
"Oh, Clair. She looks exactly like you." He said with a sigh as Cleo looked up at him. She frowned.
"Here, Erin." The boy, Erin came out. "Erin will you lead Cleora around. I need to talk to her mother."
"Sure, Chiron." he said with a wave. "Do you mind telling me how to pronounce your name?"
"Oh, sure. Cleora, Cle-or-a. Similar to Cleopatra but without parts and ora instead." She said laughing.
"Well, nice to meet you Cleora. I'm Erin, son of Apollo." He said extending a hand before leading her off.
"So you wanted to talk." I began.
"Yes, here let me show you first." He said leading me out towards the cabins. Many more have popped up.
"Oh, wait I want to see how Cleora responds to the sons of Ares." He said stopping just far enough so we could here.
"Well look fresh meat." One of them said.
"Andrew lay off her." Erin said glaring.
"Look he's already protective of her." One said to Andrew.
"Come on Barron. Time to do the newbie ritual." Andrew said to Barron. One of the other grabbed Erin and held him back.
"Well nebie any words." Barron said coming forward.
"Don't you dare think about touching me." Cleo snapped at him whacking his hand away when he tried to grab her.
"Look she's feisty. She won't be soon." Andrew coed.
Barron lunged forward attempting to grab Cleo. She stepped back and snap kicked him where the light doesn't shine. He doubled over. The other sons of Ares stepped forward.
"I'm perfectly willing to do the same to all of you too." She threatened.
"Ok, now we interupt." A new voice came from the cabin, older gruffer. Then a man stepped out, big in a muscular way.
"Come on guys she's little." Another man said.
Then Chiron and I came up. "Like her mother isn't she Mark. I remember nine year old Clair doing the same thing to you the first day." He laughed.
"So your Clair's daughter. Nice to meet you, I was your mother's first boyfriend. He laughed.
Then I stepped forward, "Nice to see you again Mark." Then he noticed me.
"Clair it's good to see you. How have you been?"he said happily. He hugged me like one would hug their sibling. I wouldn't have it any other way.
"I've been good." I answered laughing hugging him back.
"Clair, this is Andrew my son." He said patting the boy on the back.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Andrew." I said with a smile. He looked anywhere but me or Cleo.
"I expect you all to get along with her." The other man said laughing. "So Clair remember me?"
I looked at him puzzled for a moment then smiled, "Well hello Sherman."
"My, how your daughter looks like you." He laughed.
"I don't think we will." Andrew glared at Cleo. Cleo shrugged innocently.
"Come on give each other a chance. Clair did the same to Mark here her first day, and they ended up dating for what was it four five months?" He said.
"Eww." Cleo said scrunching her face at Andrew.
"One, most people were convinced I was the daughter of Phobos, so I was pushed to get along with you. Two, I was friends with Clarisse so I was around you often. Two I am related to you." I finished counting on my fingers.
"Right your a legacy of Mars." Sherman laughed. "Oh, yeah. Michael Rodriguez." Mark said gesturing to a boy at the back of the group.
He rolled his eyes at Sherman.
"I hate to intrude but Clair and I must get to something." Chiron said.
"Well it was nice seeing you both. Goodbye." I said waving as I walked off.
I just barely heard Andrew say, "So, Cleo."
"My name is Cleora. Cleo is for friends." Cleo snapped.
"Well I guess I'll just have to make it onto the friend list."
I smiled as I followed Chiron to the beach. There a boy was sitting. He had shaggy dark dark black hair, a sleeveless t-shirt which was blank and dark black jeans. I could see his face.
"Charles." Chiron greeted.
"Go away Chiron. You can't make me rethink my decision." He snapped not turning to look at all.
"No but she might." Chiron said calmly. "Please just let her talk."
Then I noticed it, he had plenty of knives, swords and weapons around him. It clicked into place.
I carefully walked over and sat down next to him, "Hello, Charles, I'm Clair." I said extending my hand to him.
"Don't touch me or I'll hurt you." He snapped.
"Okay, no touchy. I get it." I smiled. "I know I'm just a random stranger but maybe I can help. If Chiron thinks I can help then I must be able to. I promise I won't judge you."
"Yeah right." He said rolling his eyes.
"I promise if I do, even if I think it. I'll leave you alone." I said to him.
"I'm the son of death, everybody is scared of me." He said barely loud enough.
I grinned and said to him, "Really? I always wanted a little brother."
He turned to look at me. His eyes were as golden as mine, but I could tell he didn't have wings, "What? Are you the Clair, the Clair he talked about?"
"Yes, I am." I said with a smile.
"Oh wow." He breathed looking me over.
"Look you probably have that one good friend, yes?" He nodded, "When you're around them smile. People will begin to be comfortable around you in just a few days. My daughter will be with you this whole time."
He looked at me and smiled, then wave his weapons disappeared. I led him back to the cabin, where Cleo was.
"Charles this is my daughter Cleora. You can call her Cleo though." I said leading him up to her.
Then I watched them strike up a conversation, then slowly I walked away. Returning to Chiron.
"Thank you Clair. I'm sure he'll be better now. He needs to know that he has someone to lean on." Chiron said.
"I'm happy to be that person." I said with a smile.
"He and Cleora will get along very well." He said with a laugh.
"yes I hope they do." I said with a smile.
"I've always had a way of telling if demigod couples would stay together." He said smiling.
"Yeah, did you see Mark and I?" I asked him.
"yes, he was too worried to hurt you emotionally or physically." He said with a sigh, "however Andrew and and Cleora, if they get together they probably won't break up. As long as he pushes her, and doesn't get friendzoned."
"yeah." I laughed.
This was home, My favorite place in the world. It would be perfect if Owen was here. Here I was years afterwards, I could still remember the view when I first came in. I was standing in that very same spot. It had all changed for the better.
So thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the whole story.
So I decided to tell you a few details that I decided to scratch out of the story.
One, Clair originally was going to be the daughter of Phobos, so I was going to name the story Daughter of fear
Second, Clair was going to be the descendant of Romulus, making her princes of Rome
Third, Clair was going to be named Sarah originally in my outline, then I changed it to Clair
Four, She was originally going to have three older brothers.
Five, Clair was going to be with Nico (Then I read House of Hades and then Blood of Olympus)
Six, I was planning on having Owen and Clair end up as enemies and loath each other.
Well that the major important things that didn't make it in. Hope you liked it. I probably will have a sequel. Thanks a lot again, I'll miss you all.
