A/N ok so this is a departure from the norm, at least I feel like it's a little different. Hopefully you like it! Also how about the premiere!? in the words of Alicia, "I did not see that coming" seriously if this sucks or ya'll don't like it, or if you do let me know! and Thanks for all the great reviews for the last update!
"Oh my god. Would you stop fidgeting?"
"I'm nervous."
"Will it's a 9 year old girl and her little sister not a foreign dignitary. You may not realize it at this moment but you have met them beforeā¦"
Will still stood pacing small circles as they waited in baggage claim at O'Hare International Airport. For the first time in his life Will was going to be in charge of a human under the age of six. For one whole week his sister, Sarah and her husband were entrusting him and Alicia with the care of their two daughters while they took a second honeymoon to Hawaii. Lily had reached the ripe old age of 9 somehow and her little sister, Izzy would be three in just a few short months. The thought that that much time had passed scared Will almost as much as the thought that he would be in charge of the girls for 7 whole days. As he paced and adjusted his tie for the tenth time in 10 minutes Alicia gently took his hand and stilled him just as they heard an excited voice,
"UNCLE WILLLLLLL!"
With a speed and force only children can muster Lily flew across the airport and into her uncle's arms. Immediately every adult in the group winced collectively, and sighs of relief were breathed as they were assured that no damage had been done to Will's arm. There were still days when his arm refused to do what he wanted it to and while he still attended physical therapy he worried the pain would reside in his shoulder forever.
"I get to stay with you for a WHOLE week!"
"I know and we are going to have so much fun!"
As Alicia stood off to the side watching the scene she couldn't help but smile. There was a side of Will that only her and his sisters would ever see. No, no one else would see the way his eyes lit up when he talked about Lily and Izzy, or how excited he got when he talked to them, and nothing would match the smiles that he reserved only for the girls. It was as Alicia was standing there that she felt a small tug on her sweater when she looked down to see Izzy,
"Aunt 'licia ? I want hug please?"
Alicia had thought she would never hear the word aunt in front of her name, and it was even more amazing to hear it from Will's youngest niece. She buried her face in the small girls shoulder inhaling the somewhat unmistakable scent of baby as she hugged her tightly. Alicia smiled as she placed the girl on her hip then greeted her parents. Sarah and Alicia hugged as Will and Roger shook hands. The group made its way to the assigned baggage carousel. Sarah and Roger would spend one evening at Alicia and Will's before heading out the next morning to catch their flight, then Will and Alicia would be on their own with the girls.

Will rolled over and opened his eyes to a pair of unfamiliar blue eyes staring into his,
"Uncle Will waking up?"
Will blinked a few times trying first to figure out who the small pair of eyes belonged to and where his wife had disappeared to. He had barely put his thoughts together when he realized there was another presence in the room. Sitting quietly in the armchair in the corner his niece Lily was engrossed in a novel.
"Well good morning Izzy, and yes Uncle Will is waking up."
He gave the girls a smile and sat up on the side of the bed,
"Either of you know where Aunt Alicia is?"
Lily glanced up from her book and stated matter of factly that she was in the kitchen making pancakes,
"We're supposed to go tell her when you're awake."
"Well why don't you go tell her I'll be out in a little while?"
"OK! Come on Izzy!"
Will smiled as he watched the girls walk out of the room hand in hand.
He emerged from the room about 20 minutes later and followed the smell of Alicia's famous pancakes to the kitchen.
Alicia smiled as he entered and gestured to the table where a plate of pancakes sat next to a platter of fresh bacon. She made her way over to him to kiss him good morning. Izzy and Lily giggled as Will pulled Alicia in for a more intimate kiss.
It was over breakfast that Alicia informed Will that Kalinda had called and let her know that she had located some evidence for a case that was set to go to trial in a week and she needed to know how to proceed so Will was on his own with the girls. An hour later she kissed him goodbye and reassured him that he would be fine.

It had taken Alicia far longer at the office than she had intended at the office and it was almost 9 o'clock when she walked through the door. The sight that met her was closer to the path of a tornado than her living room. Sitting quietly in the recliner that Will had insisted they need was Lily reading a book and passed out amidst the toys and with the TV blaring will lay on the floor with Izzy sleeping peacefully on his chest. As Alicia smiled she also felt a sharp pang, they had never talked about it but as she saw him lying there all she could think of was what a great dad he would have made. As she ushered Lily off to bed and bent down to take the small girl from Will's arms he lazily reached a hand up and rubbed her ankle,
"I can do it, I'll go put her in her playpen and bring you a glass of wine so you can relax, it's the least I can do with the tornado that visited today. I don't know how you did this with two under the age of six, no wonder you wanted to get back to the law"
Alicia smiled and helped Will support the baby as he got to his feet,
"Well hurry up then so I can tell you how cute you were cuddled on the floor and then maybe I'll show you how I liked to unwind after a day of kids" Alicia winked at Will as he headed down the hall, she'd worry about the mess later.
