Okay guys, Chapter 14 is up. I expected a lot more reactions to Chapter 13, especially with Typhon. This chapter might be shorter than all of the others, but it will do some good. I am currently trying to start Chapter 16, and I am still debating on whether or not I should skip through some points such as going through Union Cave. Anyways, without further ado, R&R, PM, and Enjoy!

Chapter 14

(Jason's POV)

"Alright," Nurse Joy said, handing me Bellsprout's and Monarch's Poke Balls, "these two are healed." I thanked her and asked about Typhon. Janice and Meema were with me, and Nurse Joy asked me to follow her into the back. Everything inside my gut suddenly disappeared as I followed her and I saw Typhon on the incubator, still in the same position. "He's resting right now, but he's perfectly fine."

I let out a sigh of relief as Nurse Joy pulled out a tablet. "Jason, there's something I should show you." She handed the tablet to me and she pressed the screen. A video began to play, a security camera feed, and the time read 3:02 in the morning. I didn't see anything for a while until Typhon started glowing with a white light.

"Whoa," I said upon noticing it.

"You shouldn't be alarmed Jason," she said, taking the tablet back. "As a matter of fact, I believe that it means Typhon is close to evolving into a Quilava." I was surprised and looked at Typhon. A Quilava, the evolved form of Cyndaquil. "I expect a few more battles will trigger it, however I suggest you refrain from battling with him so that his body has time to heal completely."

I nodded and heard a weak voice say, "Daddy?" I looked to Typhon and saw he was waking up. I was overjoyed and asked Nurse Joy to open the incubator. She did and I leaned in next to Typhon.

"Typhon," I said in a sing-song voice, "wake up." He twitched a little and yawned.

He turned his head slightly and almost instantly got up and jumped onto me shouting, "Daddy!"

I brought him out of the incubator and held him close, telepathically speaking to him, "Typhon, you're okay! I'm sorry about what happened, please forgive me."

"It's okay, Daddy." I looked up at Nurse Joy and thanked her, who said it was no trouble and she led me out of the back room. I found Janice and Meema sitting at a table and when they saw Typhon was okay they sighed in relief. Meema thanked Nurse Joy for her help, and Janice let out Lucy so she could see Typhon as well. Nurse Joy said goodbye and we decided it was time to head out as well.

"Thanks for everything!" I called out as we left. Typhon returned to his usual spot on my shoulder and we set out for Route 32. That's when I remembered Bellsprout and I sprinted ahead. I heard Janice call out for me to slow down, but I didn't and instead went to the same patch of grass where I found Bellsprout.

I let him out and said, "Okay, Bellsprout, a deal's a deal. You helped me against my battle against Will, so now you have a choice: you can join me and my team, or I can release you. What's it gonna be?"

Bellsprout, after some thinking, answered, "I think I'll stay with you. It's not beacuse you're the child of the legendary Celebi but I want to grow stronger, and I think that you can help me grow stronger."

I could hear Janice's voice again and I held out his Poke Ball. Bellsprout returned itself and I stood up as Janice and Meema came into view. "Why'd you run off like that?" Janice asked.

I tried thinking of something fast and I said, "I thought I saw a Mareep."

Janice's eyes suddenly lit up, "A Mareep?" Janice dashed ahead this time, and we decided to go and search as well. It took us a while, Janice actually screaming because she accidentally stepped on an Ekans' tail, but Meema eventually found a Mareep. She called Janice over and the Mareep tried to flee. Janice called out Lucy, who appeared in front of the fleeing Mareep.

I heard Lucy ask the Mareep if they wanted to join their team, to which the Mareep replied, "Alright, but only if you can defeat me in a battle." I already figured out that this was a male Mareep, and the battle began.

"Lucy, use Ember!" Lucy fired out some small Embers from its mouth, the Mareep easily dodging it.

"Alright, take this. Thunder Wave!" I could already sense the electrical energy in its wool, and it released it into a quick wave that neither Lucy nor Janice was quick enough to react to. Lucy was hit by the wave and it became paralyzed.

"Lucy, are you okay?"

"I'm okay, just a little problem moving is all."

"Lucy, try to use Smokescreen." Lucy inhaled and was able to breathe out a thick cloud of black smoke. I could still see them, thanks to the ability to see aura that Meema gave me when I was young. Lucy was in the center, a clear area where the smoke surrounded her. As for the Mareep, it was aimlessly looking around, trying to find its opponent. "Okay Lucy, now use Tackle!" Lucy made her move and charged into the smoke. Lucy was able to hit the Mareep, but soon after it countered with its own Tackle.

The smoke began to thin, so Janice ordered another Ember attack. Lucy was able to get out a few Embers, but the paralysis got to her before the attack could fire. Unfortunately, that also gave her position away to the Mareep, which Tackled Lucy out of the Smokescreen cloud. Janice ran over to Lucy as the Mareep came out of the smoke, and Janice began rummaging through her bag for something. Janice pulled out a Potion and sprayed Lucy with it, giving her back some strength.

"Okay Lucy, just one more Ember attack. I know you can do it."

"I can do it," Lucy replied. Lucy inhaled as the Mareep began to charge for another Tackle, and she let out a flurry of Embers that hit Mareep in the face. It fell and collapsed right in front of Janice and she pulled out a Poke Ball to capture it. She tapped the button and the Mareep was pulled inside. It began to wiggle a few times before it clicked and Janice smiled with joy.

"I caught my first Pokemon!" She shouted, holding Mareep's ball high into the air. She let Mareep out and dug through her bag again. She pulled out a couple more Potions and sprayed Mareep with the medicine until it was feeling better. "How are you feeling?" Janice asked the Mareep, a smile still on her face.

"Better now. Thank you," the Mareep replied, bowing its head. Janice couldn't understand, but she still smiled.

"Now let's see what the Pokedex has to say about you." She pulled out her own Pokedex and I pulled out my own and pointed it at the new Pokemon.

"Mareep, the Wool Pokemon. When cold weather increases static electricity, its wool doubles in size and the tip of its tail glows slightly. This Mareep is male, and knows Tackle, Growl, and Thunder Wave."

"A male, huh?" Janice said, putting a finger to her mouth in thought. She snapped her fingers and said, "I got it, how does Mark sound?"

"It's suitable," the Mareep, now nicknamed Mark, replied. "I like it."

Janice smiled and I felt something else approaching. I looked to where we came from and saw an Ariados heading our way. Janice saw it too, and she screamed in terror at the spider-like Pokemon. She was about to order Mark to attack but I stopped her. I looked to the Ariados, and it began to slow down as it approached us.

It stopped in front of me and said, "Human, you are the one from before, correct?" I nodded, unsure of what was going on, and the Ariados lowered until its belly was on the ground. A Spinarak crawled off its back and looked up at me.

"Hello again."

This was the same Spinarak from before, I realized, and the Ariados said, "My child wishes to travel with you. Ever since she met you she's been talking of travelling and becoming stronger. Will you take her and help her achieve her dream?"

I smiled and nodded, pulling out another Poke Ball. I sat it in front of the Spinarak who touched the button, the ball instantly clicking shut. I let out the Spinarak and it said its goodbyes before the Ariados left. I stood and turned to Janice, who was staring at me dumb-founded.

"You really are something," Janice said shaking her head.

"Like I said," I replied, "I have a way with Pokemon."

I pulled out my Pokedex and pointed it at our new teammate, "Spinarak, the String Spit Pokemon. It sets a trap by spinning a web with thin but strong silk. It waits motionlessly for prey to arrive."

I put the Pokedex away and then let out Bellsprout. I sat in front of the two and said, "Okay, I guess now I should give you nicknames."

"I actually have a name," the Spinarak said. "It's Ariana."

"Can I be called Victor?" Bellsprout asked. "I want to become a Victreebel and, well it does sound clever right?"

I nodded and said, "Okay, Victor and Ariana it is then." I returned each of them and I looked at Typhon, who was now resting on my shoulder. "Well Typhon," I said, getting his attention. "We officially have a full team."

Typhon the Cyndaquil, Monarch the Butterfree, Sting the Beedrill, Blaster the Squirtle, Victor the Bellsprout, and Ariana the Spinarak. "Together, we're gonna take on the league and win!"

"Yeah!"

And with that, Jason now has a full team. Janice is now at three, so she still has a way to go. I promise you all that this story will pick up once they reach Slowpoke Well. After all, Jason's not the only child of a legendary. *Author smiles knowingly.* Until then, R&R, PM, and try to guess who the mystery child's legendary parent is.
