Author's Note: Hi guys. Apparently I scared some of you guys with my announcement. Let me just say that if I quit, I will not leave you guys hanging. I will finished whatever I start. I will finish this. I will finish No Protection. If I start anything else, I will finish everything I start. I promise you all that. I love you guys too much just to stop and not finish what I've started. You guys have been supporting me for over two and a half years. I joined June 2nd, 2013. I posted my first story two days later. I've been receiving support since I posted my very first Fanfiction ever. I'm going to tell you all something I've never told anyone before. I was almost too scared to hit upload on my first story. I was scared about the hate I was going to receive. I was scared no one was going to accept me for me. Yes, I get hate. However, these hate comments just kind of fade out. I see the hate, don't get me wrong. However, I see the support that's surrounding it. I've wanted to give up but I couldn't because of you guys. Know that if I quit, I will go out with a bang. Also, if I quit, it will not be because of you guys. It's because of my personal life. Okay, that was deep. Let's just get into the chapter.

Disclaimer: Can we just pretend I wrote one for this chapter? Read the one in the last chapter.

Chapter 5 - It's Never Easy

Katniss POV

Finch Desiree and I shared a look.

"Can we never just catch a break? Does there always have to be a twist?" I asked.

Madge walked over to us.

"Well, you two have clearly thought every possible situation out. What now? She isn't with our Gale so what are we supposed to do?" Madge asked.

I looked at Finch Desiree who is staring at Peeta.

"We didn't shoot Peeta," she pointed out. "And we're Sirens."

I understood where she was coming from instantly. I handed my gun to Madge and walked up to Peeta. He averted his eyes immediately. I grabbed his face and forced him to look me in the eyes. I used my powers and put the blonde under my control.

"Come with me, Peeta," I purred. "Let's go get Clove back."

Peeta, being under my control nodded. He and I left the house. He and I walked across the road. I hid out of view while Peeta knocked on the door. A small blonde came to the door. He was shorter and look less buff than Peeta.

"Hey Pete. Whatcha need?" Gale asked.

"Listen. There was a mix up. I'm so sorry. We need the mermaid we sold you back," I whispered taking control of Peeta's voice.

"Listen. There was a mix up. I'm so sorry. We need the mermaid we sold you back," Peeta explained.

"What? Why?"

"I can't explain. It's a private matter. I will get your money back by all means," I whispered.

"I can't explain. It's a private matter. I will get your money back by all means," Peeta repeated.

"You know what, you guys have me such a deal on the blonde. I still have her. You can just take the black haired one back. Besides, she and Glimmer just aren't getting along," Gale sighed. "I'll go grab her."

My jaw dropped as Gale walked back into the house. After all this time, Glimmer isn't dead? She's been across the road from the people who captured Clove and we were hunting.

I was broken from my thoughts when Gale came to the door. He was carrying Clove. He handed her off to Peeta. Suddenly, a blonde girl came to the door and started hanging off Gale.

It was Glimmer.

And she was a human.

"Well I have to go. The guys want me back as soon as possible. I'm so sorry for inconveniencing you," I whispered.

"Well I have to go. The guys want me back as soon as possible. I'm so sorry for inconveniencing you," Peeta repeated.

"It's alright. See you later," Gale laughed before shutting the door.

I guided Peeta back to me where I took Clove in my own arms.

"Katniss?" she questioned.

"Don't act so shocked. You know Sirens can exchange their tails for legs whenever. However, we need to talk. And we need to talk about even more things now," I stated.

"I understand. Is Finch Desiree here or-"

"She's at the hunters' place with Madge," I quickly explained.

"And why is he helping us?" Clove immediately asked.

"He's under my control."

"And the other two idiots?"

"They are at gunpoint."

Clove gave me a look of fear.

"We weren't ready to lose you," I explained.

The three of us walked inside and I released Peeta from my control. He stumbled as he regained control of his own mind.

"Ready to go?" I asked the other girls.

Finch Desiree and Madge nodded. However, Finch Desiree turned to the boys.

"Let me make this clear. We let you off easy. If we ever have to see your faces again for any reason, we will kill you three," she threatened.

The boys nodded in fear. To make a point, both Madge and Finch Desiree bent the guns so they wouldn't be able to properly work. Us females of the sea have finally defeated se of the professionals who work to eliminate us. We've won.

We've won the war.

Don't worry. This isn't the end. There's more coming. Please review, favorite, and follow.
