Chapter 5
Erin's Point of View
Neal stormed back into the room clearly annoyed by something.
"Were leaving now. Erin you're coming with me." He ordered.
"Wait what? Why just me?" I asked, worried about my daughter and Bunny.
However like earlier he wasn't in the discussing mood. He hit me hard across the face again and I felt the familiar sting in my cheek along with the taste of blood.
"Didn't you learn from earlier?" He hissed.
"You are coming with me because I was deprived of knowing you as a child thanks to your mother. This is my chance to make you see things from my point of view. Had my two idiot friends not got themselves seen by the cops then maybe I could have taken the three of you." Neal told me.
"Wait, so the cops know who your friends are?" I asked feeling relief for the first time in days.
If what he was saying were true then Voight and Jay would already be on their way to our location.
"Unfortunately. Lucky for us we will be long gone before they get here." Neal smirked as he grabbed me roughly by the arm and forced me towards the door.
"Wait!" I heard Bunny yell.
"Please don't do this Neal. She doesn't deserve this. We aren't part of her life. Just let her go and save yourself." She begged.
Neal glared at her.
"That is your fault. I didn't choose to be away from her. She didn't choose not to know me, not to even see a picture." Neal spat.
"Your right she didn't but look at you, you're a loser. So why don't you do the first decent thing you can for your daughter and leave." Alex replied.
As much as I admired Alex's courage, I wished she would learn when to shut up.
Neal pulled out a gun, shoved me out the door so hard I hit the floor before pulling the trigger. The bang echoed through the house as I heard Alex hit the floor followed by what I assumed to be Bunny crying. Neal let out a sigh before slamming the door to the room closed and turning the lock.
"They never learn." He whispered to himself.
"What did you do?" I cried as I tried to fight my way passed him.
He wrapped his strong arms around me and no matter how hard I fought I couldn't get free. Next thing I knew he was holding a cloth over my mouth and I slowly passed out.
Alex's Point of View
Blood, there was so much blood. Neal had lost his temper after I spoke back to him. He pulled out his gun and shot at me, but Bunny was quicker she shoved me onto the bed taking the bullet instead.
"Please don't die." I sobbed as I tried my best to apply pressure.
"Alex get out of here. Try and get the door open." Bunny whispered as her eyes began to close.
"Hey stay awake. You aren't leaving me alone here!" I yelled as I shook her awake.
"I won't honey. Just try and get us out." She replied.
Nodding in agreement I made sure she held pressure on her wound as I began to pound the door, kick the door anything I could to try and open it. However as I did so the smell of smoke filled the room.
"He's burning down the house!" I cried.
A few seconds later and smoke was beginning to creep into the room. Covering my mouth and turning to the window for possible escape I was frantic. It was then that I saw them. The Intelligence unit had arrived followed by sirens.
"Thank god!" I cried as they pulled to a halt.
Unable to open the window I banged on it as hard as I could. As I continued to bang I saw a car fly from the driveway.
"Mom!" I yelled, realising that she was only leaving with Neal.
Thankfully Voight noticed quick enough to jump in his car with Olinsky and speed after them.
"They see mom Bunny, she will be fine they will get to her!" I said turning to look at Bunny.
However she was unconscious and I realised the smoke had almost completely filled the room. I turned my attention back to the window and began to bang it more desperately. This time someone noticed. Dawson pointed in my direction as they all raced towards the house.
Seconds later I heard them kicking at the door as the fire department arrived outside. By the time they had kicked it in I couldn't breathe. I collapsed against the wall only to be caught by Jay.
"Don't go doing that on me kid." He chocked as he scooped me up.
"Bunny, you need to get her out first." I spluttered between chokes.
"Dawson's on it." He replied as he marched towards the door.
Smoke blinding us I was relieved to see Severide and Casey in the hall.
"This way." They instructed.
Following close behind them we were out of the house and into the fresh air just before I lost consciousness. However the minute I felt fresh air in my lungs I came around. Mills had oxygen on me the minute Jay sat me down on the grass.
"Breath normally Alex." He told me as I gasped for air.
Eventually my breathing slowed and I didn't feel as bad.
"We need to get you to the hospital make sure there is no serious damage." He said as he helped me onto a trolley.
"What about mom?" I asked.
"Voight's on it. Were getting a location now so we can go and help." Jay explained.
"You need to go to the hospital make sure everything is ok with you and the baby." Jay added.
"Who told you?" I gasped.
"Your fiancé. Seems worry makes him talk. I'm guessing that's why you two are back?" Jay questioned.
"I was planning on telling you." I mumbled.
"I know kid and when we have your mom back I'm sure we can pretend we don't know a thing. Now go." Jay smiled.
"Make sure you bring her back to us Jay." I said as I was bundled into the ambo.
"You know I will." He assured me before giving me a quick wave and leaving with Dawson.
Voight's Point of View
I was speeding along behind they guy who had taken Erin. I had only got a small look but I was pretty sure it was her so-called father.
"There turning." Olinksy said from the passenger side.
I nodded and swung the car around trying to cut them off. It was no use another car got in the way.
"Dammit!" I yelled in frustration as I accelerated to catch up.
"Voight breath." Olinksy instructed.
"I will when we get this son of a bitch!" I snapped.
Another sharp turn towards the docks followed, but this time I was prepared and was almost directly beside them. As I looked into the car I saw Erin wasn't conscious.
"I'm sure she isn't hurt." Olinksy tried to assure me.
"She better not be!" I hissed as I swerved to hit their car.
I made contact and he seemed to lose control. Swerving to hit him again was a mistake because he did lose control.
"Voight pull back!" Olinksy ordered.
But I was to late their car smashed into us and plunged right into the water sending us spinning in the opposite direction. Dazed it took me a few minutes to come around, but when I did I leapt from the car.
Desperately looking into the water for any sign of Erin came up a blank.
"She is still in the car. Call for backup, and ambo, the fire department!" I yelled at Olinsky as I took a running jump into the water…
Ok so that was chapter 5, please let me know your thoughts I love hearing them :-)
Until next time ;-)
