Ok so here is chapter 13, I have decided to make this the last chapter as I have been finding it hard to write this story therefore I didn't want to ruin it. Hopefully I haven't ruined it for anyone :-) No Copyright Intended!

Chapter 13

Jay's Point of View

Dinner, how can I explain dinner well awkward is one word. Lets just say after I warned Chase about cheating, it kind of came back to bite me in the ass.

"Chase is brining a guest to dinner." Alex told her mom.

"Ok who?" Erin replied as she passed me the glasses.

"His sister, she came from New York today, he thinks she can help." Alex replied with an eye roll.

"Today?" I questioned.

"What?" Alex asked with a look of confusion.

"You said she came today right?" I clarified.

"Um yeah, why?" Alex replied.

"She blonde by any chance?" I asked as casually as I could.

"What's with the interrogation?" Alex snapped.

"No reason." I finished as I rushed into the dinning room.

I didn't realise Erin had followed me.

"What did you do?" She sighed.

I held my hands up and tried to act innocent, but Erin knew me to well. She just arched her eyebrow and waited for me to spill.

"I-I-I kinda threatened him." I mumbled.

"Excuse me?" She gasped.

"I saw him with another girl and thought he was cheating!" I cried.

Erin looked at me opened mouthed for a few seconds before she got over her shock. What came next was scarier.

"I cannot belief you did that. You are such an idiot; please tell me the sister didn't see you threaten her brother? And what did you even say to poor Chase? He better still come for dinner Jay or I swear to god you are a dead man walking. This is exactly like something Voight would do and you know how much that bothers me. Unless you have proof of something don't act. Have I taught you nothing since we have been together, honestly sometimes I swear you don't think." She lectured.

I could do nothing but stand and nod at every word she said. To do anything other than that would have made things a hell of a lot worse. Thankfully before she could think of anything else to scold me about the door opened and in came Chase. I hung back as Erin went to great him.

"Hi Chase, I hear this is your lovely sister." Erin greeted.

"Holly." The blonde, from earlier smiled in response.

"Holly nice to meet you. Now are you younger or older than Chase?" Erin asked.

"Younger by two minutes." Holly replied.

"Twins?" Erin grinned as she led them into the dinning room.

"Yeah identical couldn't you tell?" Chase joked.

Erin laughed in response before turning to me.

"Holly this is my husband Jay." She introduced.

"H-H-Hi I stammered in fear she would recognise me.

"Hello." She smiled, thankfully she didn't seem to know me.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I went to the kitchen to get the food. Everyone else was seated expect Chase who had followed me.

"Beer is in the fridge." He told me with a hint of a smirk.

"Thanks." I blushed.

"Look about earlier I should have made sure it was what it looked like before I acted. Erin has already lectured me so I want to apologise. Not for what I said cause I will totally kill you if you hurt her but um for the rest. I'm sorry." I said.

"Jay it's ok I get it. I get how it must have looked. I asked Holly to come and help because she lost a baby to and I thought maybe she could help Alex." Chase explained.

"You really do care don't you?" I smiled.

"Well yeah I love her." Chase said like it was obvious.

"Good cause I kinda like you." I smirked.

Chase rolled his eyes in response but I could see he was relieved.

"Come on our family is hunry." Chase laughed.

"Don't overstep kid." I joked.

"Sorry." Chase mumbled.

"Chase I was joking." I laughed.

Blushing again Chase grabbed some plates and carried them into our family. A family I knew was going to be ok because everyone supported each other.

25 Years Later.

Erin's Point of View

I felt old the day I stood and watched my son walk up on stage. Graduating and becoming a cop a dream he always told me he wanted but I never thought he would follow through on. Yet here I was watching him, dressed in his uniform looking so smart as he smiled for photos.

"Feeling old?" Jay whispered as he too watched.

"A little." I admitted.

"Seems like only yesterday he was born." I added.

"I know." Jay sighed.

"He looks like you." I told him.

"He might look like me but he has your brains. Something he will need in this job cause there are no more Erin Lindsay's left for partners. I got the only and only." Jay smiled.

"Jay Halstead isn't a bad partner to have either, he always had and always will have my back." I replied.

"So how do I look?" Jay J grinned as he approached us.

"Looking good kid." I grinned overcome with pride.

"We are so proud of you son." Jay said as he slapped him on the back.

"Thanks dad." Jay J blushed slightly.

Just at that my eldest appeared with the rest of the clan. She and her husband Chase rallied in with their kids. Lindsay my granddaughter was 18, and my grandson Ben (named after Detective Benson) was 23.

"Looking good baby bro, hey maybe someday you can join me in the drug unit?" She grinned as she hugged her brother.

I didn't say anything as I watched them interact. A long time ago I didn't think any of this would be possible especially when Alex went off the rails. Yet here we all where grown up and still a family. I had never felt as proud in all my life as I watched my grandkids join in, in congratulating their uncle.

"We did good." Jay smiled as he came to stand next to me.

"Yeah we did, and another cop in the family and I win the bet with Chase." I laughed.

"Not yet Erin." Chase called over to me.

"My granddaughter Lindsay wants to be a cop, isn't that right honey?" I asked my youngest grandkid.

"Totally, cops beat fire-fighter's sorry dad, sorry Ben." Lindsay said as she looked at her dad and brother.

"You brainwashed her!" Chase laughed.

"No I didn't if anyone did it was Als!" I replied.

"Ohh no mom this is your family, it's on you that we all became cops." Alex smirked.

I rolled my eyes in response, I never won an argument with my family and I wouldn't have it any other way. This is the life I had always wanted as a kid, Erin's Family.

The End.

Well that's it hope you all enjoyed, sorry for the abrupt ending but I didn't want to leave it unfinished :-) Thanks again to all those who reviewed, favourited and followed it means a lot and I really appreciate you all, so thanks :-D
