Emma realizes later just how much truth was inadvertently packed into that statement. Rumplestiltskin, as it turned out, was Neal's father. That makes Rumplestiltskin and Emma… something, doesn't it? She has no idea what to think about the situation, but she dose notice that there's something different there, something changing between her and the Dark One, and she knows that he sees it too. Because it wasn't just his "family reunion," it was hers too.
"We're headed to a family reunion." And she wasn't sorry to have gone.
