Chapter 34
Alvin and the others were positioned behind huge panels that would open to reveal them. Alvin wore a pair of red skinny jeans, teamed with black converse shoes, a simple white tee and a black leather style jacket, which he'd pushed up his arms.
Simon wore a pair of black skinny jeans and white converse shoes, a white tee and a blue checked shirt, rolled up to his elbows.
Theodore too had black jeans, albeit his weren't skinny jeans, and white converse shoes, a white tee and a green checked shirt.
The girls all wore sparkling halter dresses in their signature colours, and each had their hair curled and pulled to one side, pinned back.
Eleanor and Jeanette wore heels, but they were nowhere near as high as Brittany's.
Dave had sent over their custom headsets; the guys all had black while the girls had white and their earpieces, which were all in their own colours.
Alvin walked up to Brittany, who was standing up on a white podium, elevated slightly above the others, seeing as her part in the song was to add all the 'fancy bits' (as Steph had once called them); she looked amazing and gave her a kiss, "Knock 'em dead baby"
She smiled back, "Rock on Alvie"
He smiled and nodded, "I always do" and headed back to the floor, getting into position and gave Simon and Theodore a nod, "Let's do this guys" as they waited for their cue to start.
They could hear the crowd getting hyped up and the opening theme to Carrie's show.
They listened as Carrie did her opening monologue and talked about her special guests for the night, the Chipmunks and Chipettes, and introduced their opening number, as the audience went crazy, screaming and cheering.
The panels opened and Brittany opened the number as the music began and the others came in, the lights fading up on them all.

Alvin, Simon and Theodore broke into a dance set, with Alvin playing centre stage (as per usual)

Alvin smiled, running up the aisles of the audience, dodging frantic fans who wanted to get a piece of him, but keeping completely smooth and giving high fives and such to those who had their hands out.

Alvin raced back down to join back on the set.

Alvin slowly made his way up the steps of the podium towards Brittany, who danced her own moves to the beat as the crowds cheered.

He bent his knee slightly and pulled Brittany closer to him, stoking the side of her face

He bent back a little cranking out the high note as Brittany sang out hers and the others headed into their final dance routine; Alvin simply grooving with Brittany, making her shake it round.

They all posed at the finish of the song, and remained in that pose, panting a little, as the crowds cheered and screamed out adoration and Carrie walked over, clapping her hands and thanking Simon and Eleanor (because they were closest to her) and signalled a commercial break.
The floor manager waved his hand as the camera light went off, indicating they were off air.
Alvin slowly helped Brittany down the steps, (her heels were rather high and he didn't want to risk her breaking an ankle or anything) and rejoined the others as they were thanked by Carrie before heading backstage for a quick refresh to come out for their interview.
Steph stuck her fingers in her mouth and whistled, sitting back down she laughed, "I don't know how many of their shows and sh*t I've been too, and I swear they only get better...they're so lucky having me as a friend" she beamed as Bruno and Alex shook their heads and laughed.
The floor manager gave the one minute warning til roll camera as Carrie positioned herself in her chair, a makeup assistant running up, brushing her face with powder and disappearing quickly before the final countdown to being on air.
"Hi and welcome back. How about that opening number hey?" Carrie addressed the audience, who responded with a flurry of claps and cheers.
Carrie laughed and looked over at the camera, "OK, so if you missed them, don't worry, we've got the Chipmunks and Chipettes who are going to be sitting right there" she pointed to the large lounge as the crowd continued to cheer.
Carrie laughed and smiled, nodding to the audience before going into another segment about funny web videos.
Backstage Brittany was elated with their performance, "Oh that was amazing, I never get tired of this!"
Simon nodded as he wiped his glasses and the backstage crew came around checking their makeup and hair and ushering them to their entry point.
About to go on, Alvin slapped his head, "Oh sh*t, that's right" he turned to the group, "Ahh, so I gotta do some serenade thingy too"
Brittany looked at him, a little gobsmacked, "What?"
Alvin shrugged, "Come on Britt, no biggie, sing a song to a fan, part of who we are baby"
She shook her head a little, "Well, yeah, but you tell us now, as we're about to go on?"
Theodore nodded, "Brittany's got a point"
Alvin shrugged, "Look I was only told not that long ago too ok? Stop freaking out, all of you, it'll be fine, done it plenty of times"
Brittany put her hands to her hips, "Oh really?" she frowned as Alvin rolled his eyes, and styled his hair a little, "Britt, don't do this now, ok? Smile, be sexy and let's go have some fun" he flashed a smile at her.
Brittany sighed, "Fine...but if the chick so much as lays a hair on you"
Alvin kissed her cheek, "Yeah, yeah, I know the drill"
They stood just off camera and waited for Carrie to announce them onto the stage; Jenny stood in the wings with her hand to her headset listening for the cue to send them all on.
Carrie announced, reading from her cue cards, "And now, our guests for tonight may only be 18 years old, but they've been singing and performing since before they could walk. They hold a multitude of gold and platinum records and have performed such favourites as 'Witch Doctor' and 'Girls and Boys of Rock and Roll' as well as covering various artists' well known songs. Please welcome out, Alvin, Simon and Theodore Seville and Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor Miller; the Chipmunks and Chipettes!"
'Club can't handle me' played out as they all walked onto the set, waving and smiling at the audience, as they cheered and screamed out, before they each greeted Carrie with hugs and, as Brittany called them 'Hollywood Kisses' and took their seats on the lounge.
When the audience had finally calmed down, but not before Alvin did a quick run around through the aisles, they were all sitting on the lounge awaiting the interview to begin.
Carrie smiled, "It is so great to finally meet you guys, welcome"
They replied with the polite 'thanks for having us' line as Carrie smiled, leaning forward slightly, "And we're all so glad you could come too" she motioned at the audience, who clapped and cheered again as Carrie asked, "So before we start anything, Alvin, how are you doing after that tragic ordeal with the stalker breaking into your house?"
The others looked over at Alvin as he gave a smile, "Yeah, no worries now, I'm totally on the mend and yeah that's all behind us now"
Carrie shook her head, "It must have been terrifying?"
Alvin nodded, "Yeah, yeah it was"
"How did you manage to even do what you did? I mean from the reports issued to the media, the perpetrator, Kevin Tommerson, was considerably taller and possibly heavier than you"
Alvin looked over at Brittany and held her hand, as she smiled at him, "Well, adrenelin can do some crazy sh*t – oh crap can I say that?" the audience laughed as Simon shook his head slightly.
Carrie laughed and nodded, "Yeah, say what you want...we'll just censor it out later"
Alvin laughed and continued, "Um, yeah so I guess adrenalin just kicked in and I knew I had to do something to protect our place, our stuff and Brittany too"
Carrie turned her attention to Brittany, "That's right, you were there too"
Brittany nodded and pulled her dress down a little more, "Yeah, it was terrifying, I don't think I've ever been so afraid as I was that night" she looked at Alvin and smiled, "But I just had to trust Alvin knew what he was doing and made the call to the police"
Carrie nodded and looked at the others, "And you guys were all out at a premier right?"
Simon nodded, taking spokesperson for the rest of the group, "Yeah, we were out with friends in the city, ready to attend the premier of Kindling" a few members of the audience cheered, making the group laugh as Simon looked out to the audience, "Oh you've heard of him then?" the audience laughed as Simon turned back to Carrie, "And the lights had dimmed, ready to start when we all got a bunch of frantic messages from Brittany"
Eleanor nodded, "Yeah she was on the verge of totally bawling her eyes out and half the messages we couldn't understand because her voice was so thick from tears"
"But we managed to piece together from all the messages combined roughly what had happened and came as soon as we could" Simon said, looking over at Alvin and Brittany, "We're all really proud of what they both did, and the emergency services who came to their aid"
The audience clapped in agreement as Alvin added, "I'd also like to give a shout out to Nurse Valerie, most awesome nurse ever" he blew a kiss at the monitor and winked.
"Anyone who gives you a catheter is awesome for being able to get that job done" Simon added, laughing, making the rest of the audience and Carrie laugh out loud.
Alvin shot a quick 'what the hell?' glance at Simon before quickly switching to laughing it off, as Carrie asked, "So Alvin, we've got a few photos here of you from your time in hospital" she motioned towards the monitors as shots of Alvin came up; his face bruised and battered, then another showing him with his arm in a sling, shirt off under the sheets of the hospital bed, the audience reacting to the photos with sympathetic noises.
Alvin had to smirk, "Gee I look great huh?"
The monitors faded back to Carrie's logo as she turned to him, "Did you sustain any scarring?"
Alvin nodded and touched his shoulder, "Yeah, yeah I've got a nice little scar on my shoulder here" as Steph called out from the audience, "Take it off! Show us!" which then prompted the rest of the audience to call out the same, making Alvin laugh.
He looked at Brittany, who smiled and shrugged, then at Carrie who was laughing and cheering along with the audience, "Come on, get it off"
Alvin rolled his eyes and stood up, taking his microphone off and handing it to Theodore before taking off his jacket, making all the ladies in the audience squeal with delight and took his shirt off, sending the audience into a screaming frenzy.
Alvin rubbed the back of his neck laughing, and picked up his microphone as Carrie stood to see the scar.
Alvin turned his body toward the camera as it zoomed in, the close up being shown up on the monitor, "It's not all that impressive you know, just scarring from the micro surgery mostly and all" he looked over at the monitor as the camera cheekily panned down his body, "Hey, whoa!" he quickly sat down shaking his head, "Uh-uh, no way" he laughed and picked his shirt back up, sitting back on the lounge.
Carrie leant back in her chair a little, "Do you think you've seen the last of Kevin? I mean do you think he'll turn up in your lives again?"
They all looked about at one another, before Simon said, "Well, I think we all hope that he'd stay away"
"But we hope he's getting the help he needs too" Theodore quickly added, as Alvin nodded, "Yeah, I mean, there's all the legal sh*t that will ensure he keeps distance, but yeah I do hope he's getting the professional help he needs"
Carrie smiled, nodding and turned to the camera, "Well, we're going to take a quick break and when we come back, we're gonna wind the clock back a bit" she leant over to talk with Alvin, thanking him for doing that stunt as the theme music played and the cameras cut.
Carrie smiled and stood up, stretching herself and picked up a mug of water, taking a sip, "Thanks again Alvin, that was great"
He shrugged adjusting his microphone again, "Hey no sweat"
Carrie looked out to the audience, "Feel free to go mingle, for a while, we'll let you know when we need you back"
Simon shrugged, smiling and took Jeanette by the hand, leading her into the audience to do a meet and greet as Theodore did the same with Eleanor.
Alvin looked at Brittany and held his hand out, helping her up as they walked over to the audience.
After signing a few autographs, taking a few photos and generally chatting with some fans, Alvin bypassed Steph, Alex and Bruno on his way back to the stage, "Thanks for that Steph"
Steph shrugged, "Whatcha talkin' 'bout Alvin?"
He laughed and shook his head, "Yeah, I know your voice a mile away"
She winked, "You loved it"
He tilted his head, smirking, "You know it" and looked over at the set as people rushed about refilling their water, and rounded the group to come back.
Alvin turned back to Alex and Bruno, "But you guys are having fun?"
Bruno nodded, "Yeah, you guys sounded fantastic by the way"
Alvin beamed as Alex added, "Yeah, it was awesome"
Alvin nodded, "Thanks guys" he felt a tap on his shoulder as one of the crew indicated he was needed back on the lounge.
He nodded and started over, looking back and calling out, "Catch ya later"
Steph waved and settled back in her seat as Carrie came and sat back on her chair, flicking her hair around and taking another sip of water.
As the floor manager pointed to Carrie she smiled and started up again, "And we're back with the Chipmunks and Chipettes and have just heard about the Break and Enter that happened to you guys a few months back"
The group nodded as Carrie continued, "But we're all thankful everything has turned out ok. Now before we head into talk of the concert in Vegas, there's a few things I know that, myself as a fan, and I'm sure lots of other fans out there" she motioned to the audience who cheered and hollered, "Would like to know"
The group all settled into the lounge a little more, making themselves comfortable, as Carrie lifted a few more cards, reading from them, "So how and when did you all meet?"
Alvin laughed, looking at the girls, "These chickies tried to perform under our name"
Brittany shook her head, "To be fair, we didn't realise"
Alvin twisted around a little, "How could you not realise?"
"We'd only been in the country a few years; there were lots of things we were getting used to" Jeanette defended as Alvin leant down the line looking at her, "Yeah, but surely in your few years, you'd heard of us before right?"
Eleanor giggled shaking her head, "Not really"
Alvin dramatically fell back in the lounge; the audience laughing, "Well...I have nothing to say about that" he laughed as Carrie pressed on, "So that was your first meeting then?"
Theodore looked up and down the line, "Well, that was more a professional run in I guess"
Eleanor nodded, "Yeah, but I guess you could put that down to us first meeting I suppose"
Carrie nodded, "And how old were you all at the time?"
Jeanette did the numbers, "Probably about eight or nine, I think" the others nodding in agreement as Carrie asked, "And first impressions?"
Alvin laughed, "Seriously? I thought, 'who the hell do these girls think they are?!'"
Brittany sat up a little more, "I thought Alvin was terribly arrogant and totally over-confident"
Theodore shrugged, "What's changed then?"
The audience went up into a roar of laughter as Carrie drew them back in, "Ok, ok, anyone else?"
Alvin put his hand up, "Can I also add I thought Britt was kinda cute" the audience cooed as Alvin added, "Then she opened her mouth and damn, she could not only talk, but she could whinge and whine and oh man I wanted to just get her to shut up"
Brittany shot a glare at him as he shrugged; Theodore adding, "I thought they were all really sweet, and they genuinely didn't seem to realise their mistake, they were pretty apologetic afterwards"
Eleanor giggled, "I thought Theodore and Simon were quite charming after the ordeal" she looked down at Alvin, "Alvin on the other hand, well..." she laughed, "No, he's pretty cool now we've gotten to know him better over the years"
Jeanette blushed and spoke softly, "I thought Simon was very gentlemanly; he was charming and sweet and kind"
Simon gave a warm smile and held her hand as the audience burst into the typical 'awws'.
Carrie joined in, "Aww, that's so sweet, which gets me thinking, how did the whole attraction between one another start? Who fell for whom first? And any issues along the way in your relationships?"
Alvin and Brittany had to laugh out loud, "Well we've had a few of our more memorable moments, shall we say, documented forever in the tabloids"
"Yeah, they were not pretty" Brittany added, then shrugged, "But we've gotten through it each time, coming out stronger I reckon" as Alvin nodded.
"So you always liked each other then?" Carrie asked, "Each couple?"
Brittany shook her head dramatically, "Oh gosh no, I couldn't stand Alvin for years growing up" she pulled her hair back over her shoulder to sit, "I mean, I always thought he was cute too, but yeah then he'd open his mouth, suggest something outrageously ridiculous and boast about how he could do whatever better than anyone" she held her hands up, "Didn't want a part of that"
Alvin leant his arm on the lounge and propped his head up, "Riiight" he turned his head to face Carrie, "Things you find out huh?"
Brittany playfully slapped him, "Shut up, you knew that" as Alvin laughed nodding.
Simon, still holding Jeanette's hand said, "I knew I liked Jeanette from the word go; she was just...I dunno, she just had it all I guess...that and she was someone who could offer a healthy challenge for me in certain academic areas, like the sciences" Jeanette blushed, adding, "Mmm, but for ages we didn't say anything about our attraction for one another until I think we were maybe 12...which sounds really young I know" she looked at the audience, "But I guess that's when, you know, hormones and puberty and stuff kick in, and well...we didn't start dating, officially until about 14"
Eleanor nodded, "Yeah although, I suppose unofficially Theo and I were probably the first 'couple' so to speak" Theodore nodded as Eleanor continued, "Yeah, I suppose we just eased into being a couple and didn't realise it, until" she looked between Brittany and Jeanette, "I think Britt pointed it out, or asked if we were together or whatever" as Brittany nodded, "Yeah I remember asking you one night before bed, mostly cause you hadn't stopped talking about Theodore all day!"
Carrie tapped the arm of her chair, "So does that mean, Alvin and Brittany you were the last of the couples to hook up?"
Alvin looked at Brittany, smiling, "We just played the game longer I guess...lots of years of this kind of love/hate thing going on"
Brittany nodded, "Yeah, but we officially became a couple, I guess, when we were 16, so only two years ago"
Carrie looked surprised, "Wow, I mean really?"
Alvin and Brittany nodded, as Alvin added, "I mean, that's if you wanna get technical, but if not, then yeah we've been together years" he laughed.
Carrie asked, "So what's the best feature about your partner?" she looked at Alvin, "Besides physical appearance"
"Damn!" Alvin smirked, "Making me think now" which again made the audience laugh.
Simon gave Jeanette's hand a gentle squeeze, "I'd say it would be Jeanette's ability to be tolerant of everyone...she rarely gets upset with others, and will see whatever through til the end, even if it's killing her to do so, because she's not one to want to upset people, so she'll do what she can to keep the peace" he shrugged, "I guess that could also be hinder to her too, but I think Jeanette can demonstrate tolerance really well, that and she's quite clever and witty and I just think she's beautiful"
The audience again, chorused in the cued 'awws' and 'ahhs' reaction.
Jeanette was taken back a little; Simon had come such a long way in their relationship in terms of how he'd shown he loves her in public, but to announce on national television how he thought she was beautiful, it made her heart skip a beat.
She pulled in enough courage to say a response, "I think Simon's level headedness and his wisdom...not many 18 year olds have his ability to think rationally and logically in times when you really need it" she thought back, "Like when our friend was trapped in a tree, dangling, and he just figured it all out" she waved her hands around to emphasise her point, "And just managed to work out how to get her down after climbing the tree himself"
Carrie nodded, impressed as Jeanette smiled at him, "And he has quite a quick wit, great sense of humour"
Eleanor giggled, "I love how Theo is just so natural"
"What do you mean by that?" Carrie pondered as Eleanor tapped her feet against the lounge, "Well, he doesn't change who he is...like some people will act differently in different situations, or around different people, but Theodore is just always himself, which given what we do and who we are, it's nice to be with someone so grounded"
Theodore beamed, kissing Eleanor on the cheek, as he said, "Yeah, I love that about Ellie too...and she's just so caring" he clasped his hands in his lap, "And I know people talk about how motherly Ellie is, but it's true, in a crisis, she just seems to know what to do and takes charge...but don't get in between her and her sisters, she'll take you down, seriously!"
The audience laughed as Carrie nodded, "Brittany?"
Brittany looked at Alvin, who smiled, raising an eyebrow and giggled, "Believe it or not, I love Alvin's confidence" she shrugged, "I know I say it bugs me, but it can also be a great comfort. I mean take the break in, for example, if I didn't trust Alvin's confidence, well" she let her voice trail off a little, then coughed a bit, "But I'd also say he is a born leader, and he likes to make sure everyone knows that"
"Back to that confidence again?" Carrie added
Brittany nodded, tilting her head from side to side, "Mmm, it's a confidence that can easily transition into arrogance too" she laughed.
They all looked down the line at Alvin, who semi shrugged, "Oh I'm the only one left? Ok, umm" he paused a moment, playing on the idea he didn't have anything, until Brittany nudged him, "Well?!"
He laughed, "Ok, ok, uh, I'd have to say that...I really love Britt's ability to put up with me" the audience laughed a little as Alvin sat up a little straighter, smiling, "No seriously, look, bear with me here" he held his hands up, "Now, I know I've been known to be the type of guy who yeah comes across confident, and leader type and show pony, whatever of them words, pin point 'em on me, but Britt's just been able to either compliment me or balance me out...know what I mean?" he looked at Carrie, hoping his rambling had made sense.
She nodded as he quickly added, "I mean, I guess I love how Britt just works with me, she's great like that...and she's got a fiery determination" he looked at Brittany and smiled, as she smiled back, blushing a little.
He leant over and kissed her on the temple, before adding again, "And she's damn hot!"
The audience burst into cheers as Alvin held his hands up, "Sorry, but it's true, I think so anyway" he shrugged and rested his arm round Brittany's shoulders.
Carrie looked at her cards and then up at the others smiling, "So we all know you've got a new concert in Las Vegas coming up in a few weeks time right?"
Brittany nodded, "Yeah" she smiled at the others, "We're all so excited, we can't wait"
Carrie smiled, "But now, tell us how you're getting to Vegas?"
Alvin laughed and looked at the others as Jeanette said, "We're travelling in very classy style, which just screams out 'CELEBRITY', of two RVs"
The audience laughed and clapped as Eleanor added, "Yeah we're travelling with our good friends" she pointed out into the audience as the camera caught a shot of Steph, Bruno and Alex, who all waved; Steph making rock n roll gestures with her hands, as Eleanor continued, "And, yeah, we're just making our way to Vegas"
"Taking the scenic route" Theodore added, making Eleanor giggle and nod, "Yeah the long scenic route"
Carrie laughed, "So there's" she did a quick head count, "What nine of you?"
Jeanette nodded, in confirmation, "Nine, yep"
"And who's your friends out there?"
Simon looked out, and pointed generally, "Uh, Steph and Alex and Bruno"
"Friends for long?"
Alvin tilted his head from side to side, "Um, well Steph's been our friend for ages, then we sorta made friends with the guys this year"
Carrie smiled out at the audience, in Steph's direction, "So when did you meet Steph then?"
Alvin laughed, "Uh, elementary school, I think"
"Wow!" Carrie exclaimed, "So you've all been friends a while then?"
They nodded as Simon added, "Can I add though she and Alvin probably have the longest friendship"
Carrie raised her eyebrow, "Oh really?" she looked out at Steph and back at the others, "Not one of the girls?"
Brittany shook her head, "No, actually when I first met Steph, or she first came to my attention, I didn't really like her cause I thought she was trying to get in with Alvin"
Alvin shrugged, "What can I say? The ladies love me" he laughed as Carrie interrupted, "Wait, sorry, but I thought you said you didn't like Alvin when you were younger?"
Brittany giggled, "Well, we had the love/hate thing going on; I mean so it was like, I didn't want to go out with Alvin or anything, but I didn't want any other chick to either"
Carrie nodded, as Brittany straightened her skirt, "Um, yeah so I later found out she was in no way interested in Alvin that way at all, which was of a relief to me especially and then we got to know each other and have pretty much become besties" she giggled, blowing Steph a kiss.
Carrie smiled and pointed at Alvin, "So how did you and Steph become such good friends then?"
Alvin laughed, tilting his head back a bit reminiscing, "Ahhh, well first of all, she totally didn't care we were famous, saw right through that, so there was no getting away with sh*t with Steph around. But then we just sorta discovered we both had a love of pulling pranks, getting into mischief and causing chaos really" he smiled proudly, then clapped his hands loudly, laughing, "Oh like the time we managed to ghost behind teachers all day without being busted"
There was a loud roar of laughter from Steph in the audience as Carrie, smiling, yet confused leant in asking, "Sorry, ghost? What's that mean?"
The others laughed shaking their heads as Alvin shifted himself to the edge of the lounge, and explained, "Ok, so 'ghosting' is where you travel behind an unsuspecting target for as long as you can without being busted, total fun" he looked out at the audience, "Seriously you gotta try it"
Carrie leant back in her chair, "I think we need to see this is action" as the audience clapped and cheered.
Alvin smiled, and stood up, "OK, but it's probably not gonna have the exact effect, but, Theo get up"
Theodore stood, wiping his palms on his jeans and awaited Alvin's instructions.
Alvin turned his brother to face away from him, "Ok, Theo just pace back and forth across the stage and I'll jump in to ghost ya"
Theodore nodded and started casually walking along the length of the stage, turning and walking back again.
Alvin stood off to the side a little, then when he saw Theodore turn past him, he slipped in behind him and mimicked his step; the two of them trying hard not to laugh.
The audience were now laughing along at the charade, as Theodore turned around, Alvin quickly dropped to one knee, pretending to do up his shoelaces.
He stood, to cheering and sat back on the lounge, "And that, is 'ghosting'" he looked out at the audience, "Hours of entertainment; shopping malls are the best place to do it, lots of people and you can change to someone else real quick"
Carrie laughed and added, "But there's never been any kind of, you know attraction between you and Steph?"
"Hell no!" Steph called out; people laughing around her as Alvin pointed out at her and nodded, "Exactly; I mean it's to no offense but Steph and I have been buds for years and we've been through a fair bit too, and she's kinda like a sister type so yeah...that'd just be weird" he laughed.
Laughing still, Carrie turned to the monitors announcing another commercial break as the red light turned off on the cameras.
Carrie turned to them all, and motioned for Steph to come down.
Steph looked a little surprised, and after exchanging an excitable glance at the guys she leapt up and headed onto the stage, shaking Carrie's hand as Carrie stood to meet her.
"So you're Steph right?"
Steph nodded proudly, "The one and only"
"Thank goodness for that" Simon joked, Steph nudging him playfully as Carrie folded her arms loosely, "So I assume you just wound into the friendships of all these guys then?"
Steph nodded, "Yeah more or less, I mean, like Al said, we've been buddies for years now, and then probably me and Britt next; I did some cheerleading for a while in middle school while under Britt as head cheerleader, but then gave it up cause I got distracted at games" she laughed, "And then, yeah, just got to know them all that little bit better and all, and I like to think we're all best buddies really"
Carrie cocked her head to the side smiling, "Naww, well it's great you all have such a great friendship that seems to have withstood quite a number of events right?"
They all nodded as Carrie caught the eye of a floor manager getting her attention, "Sorry" she said, touching Steph's shoulder lightly, "You'll have to excuse me just a moment, but it was lovely meeting you"
Steph smiled and nodded, "Likewise" she turned to the others, "Whoo I got a mention of TV! Ha ha, well there goes my five minutes of fame"
Alvin kicked her lightly to get her attention, "Should'a made the most of it, eh Stephi?" he raised his eyebrows as Steph shook her head, "Oh yeah right, Dave's probably watching this, not to mention daddy and probably Tahlia" the lowering her voice a little, "Yeah so how bout no %$# ing way!"
Alvin laughed as Steph gave them each a kiss on the cheek and headed back to her seat; the smile still planted on her face.
Carrie came back and sat down, doing the intro back to the show and recapped about the travelling to Vegas with their good friends and all.
She leant in, "I'm assuming sleeping arrangements are guys to one girls to another?"
Alvin smirked, "On the off chance that our parents are watching" he looked at the camera, and tried to sound serious, "Yes, yes it is" as they all laughed.
"Yeah right" Carrie winked, then leaning back in her chair she asked, "So what sort of things have you all been up to on your travels?"
They all looked at each other as Alvin laughed nervously, "Ahh, that we can share?"
Carrie nodded as Alvin coughed, "Nothing, we've done nothing"
The audience laughed as Carrie urged them to share some stories from their road trip so far, Simon giving in and starting them off, "OK, well, we were fortunate to time it right and head to the State Fair at Tucson; that was pretty cool"
Jeanette nodded, looking at Eleanor and Theodore, "Yeah and these two got asked to be guest judges for the chilli cook off"
Carrie nodded as Theodore blushed a little, "It was nothing, and all the entries were really good"
Eleanor nodded, "Yeah it was hard to come up with a winner, but we did it" she giggled.
Jeanette added, "We've also been go karting"
Steph's eyes widened and she coughed nervously, shifting a bit in her chair as Alex leant over and asked, "You ok?"
She forced herself to smile, "Huh? Oh yeah, yeah I'm fine, it's nothing"
He gave her a look before turning back to the stage as Steph subconsciously adjusted her top, pulling it up a little higher.
Carrie interrupted, "Who won?"
Eleanor put her hand up, "Me, I did!" she took a bow as the audience clapped, Carrie adding, "Whoa Eleanor, that's impressive"
She sat down and beamed, "Thanks, I only inched in front of Alvin and Steph, but a win is a win and I'll take it"
Theodore added, "Alvin and I danced with a couple of old ladies early in the trip"
Alvin laughed, "Oh yeah" he turned to Carrie, "And they forgot to mention they were championship dancers too, we got totally wiped from jiving with the old birds"
Brittany burst out laughing, "And they grabbed your butt!" the audience cracked up in a roar of laughter as Alvin slunk into the lounge, "Ahh, why'd you mention that?"
Brittany shrugged, still laughing, "Cause it's funny"
Simon then added, above the laughter, "And he wore a pair of heels"
Alvin groaned as the audience lost it in a mass of hysterical laughter and cheering, some even threw in some wolf whistles as Alvin stood up, "Ok, ok, this one needs to be explained" he shot a look at Simon, "In context"
Carrie smiled and wiped her eye from laughing, gesturing for him to continue.
Alvin smiled and sat down again, "Ok, so Steph had just done a song and dance routine, oh we were camping by the way, and I said I could do all she did, which for the record, I totally could"
Carrie nodded as Alvin went on, the others sniggering every so often and leaning to look over at him, "So I challenged her to create a routine, that I'd be better at"
"When's the heels come into it?" Carrie asked, trying not to laugh again
Alvin smiled, "I'm getting to that" he looked out at the audience, "So I was thinking, you know that she'd add some technical stuff; flips and what have you, cause she's a pretty killer dancer and sh*t, but no she comes out with a pair of freakin' heels for me to dance in, what the hell is technical about that?!"
The audience laughed as Carrie looked down at Brittany's heels, "I dunno, but take a look at Brittany's, I mean they're pretty awesome"
Brittany lifted her foot, giggling, as the camera grabbed a close up and the audience nodded.
Alvin snorted, "Pfft, yeah, but she's a chick, used to wearing heels, I'm not" he shook his head as Carrie added, "So it was a technical feat then for you?"
Alvin sighed, and laughed a little, "Ok, so maybe it was, but I'm proud to say I did it, thank you very much" the audience cheered and clapped again as Carrie called out, "Bring on the heels!" making Alvin's face drop to a stunned look, "What the Fu-?" he stopped himself from dropping an 'F-bomb' on TV, but only just.
Carrie shook her head laughing, "No, no, we didn't it's ok, maybe next time though?"
Alvin rolled his eyes smiling, "Yeah sure" he said sarcastically as Carrie continued, "So apart from all that, any other adventures? Any mishaps?"
At this the group smiled warily and looked about one another, "Uhh, yeah we've had some things happen that haven't quite gone to plan, you could say that" Simon said, a little cautiously.
Carrie leant forward in her chair, "Like what?"
Simon coughed and adjusted his glasses, "Um, well we had to rescue Alvin only recently after he got tangled in sea grass in a lake"
Carrie leant on her hand, intrigued, "Wow, I mean wait, were you swimming in the lake?" she looked at Alvin, who shook his head and smiled a little, "Nah, um, prank fail. I was so lovingly pushed out to the middle of the lake by my lovely friends and siblings"
Simon put his hand up, "Uh can I put it forward that neither myself nor Jeanette had anything to do with that?"
Alvin nodded casually as Carrie asked, "But not Brittany?" and looked over at Brittany, who gave a small smile as Alvin said, "Ah yeah, my darling girlfriend was in on it too" he shifted a little on the lounge, "I had it coming, I pulled a prank the night before so it was a given somethin' was gonna happen sooner or later to me. But yeah they managed to drag the mattress from the tent down to the lake and push it in"
The audience responded with a mixture of gasps and such as Alvin looked out at them, "I know right?! I have to admit, I tip my cap at the fact they managed to do that without me waking up" he sat back and looked over at Carrie again, "Um, yeah so come morning I wake up, see I'm in the lake, and paddle back to shore. My ankle got caught and pulled me under" he gave a half laugh and looked at Simon, "Si here, along with our mates Alex and Bruno, came to my rescue"
The audience gasped again, concerned looks across their faces as Carrie, also looking concerned nodded with Theodore adding, "Yeah they dove down and pulled Alvin out while Simon had to...kick start Alvin again"
Carrie covered her mouth in disbelief, "Oh my goodness, things were that dire?"
Alvin laughed a little, to break the tension, "But we're all good now" he looked down the barrel of the camera, "Dave if you're watching, you can stop having that heart attack now, I'm still here. Ha, I'm like a cat, nine lives baby!" he smiled as the audience laughed again at Alvin making light of the situation.
Carrie exhaled, "Well it sounds like you have all had quite the adventure so far, but anything you'd like to do before hitting Vegas?"
They all looked up and down the line as Eleanor said, "Well we kinda haven't planned much along the way and we seem to have been able to find things to do"
"Makes the trip interesting, I must say" Jeanette added; the others nodding in agreement as Carrie asked, "Anything, besides the concert in Vegas you're looking forward to doing? Anyone gonna hit the slots?"
Simon shook his head as Alvin nodded his slightly, "I'll have a go, I mean can't go to Vegas and not try your luck right? But I'm not gonna put much on, just see how I go and I'd like to catch a big Vegas show"
"Yeah me too, like a magic show" Theodore added, as Eleanor and Brittany nodded, "Yeah, that'd be awesome to go see"
"I'd actually love to see the city at night and just stroll the main drag admiring what so many tourists worldwide come to see" Simon admitted.
"I also can't say that other show I wanna see though" Alvin laughed; some of the others groaning as they knew what he meant (as did most of the audience members)
Steph nudged Alex and Bruno, "Ha, looks like you guys are off to some tittie show" she giggled as Alex and Bruno looked at each other, smirking and shrugged.
Carrie looked at the camera, "Well we're gonna cut to another quick commercial break, and when we return, it's time for Rapid Fire, where we'll ask these guys a series of rapid fire questions, see you soon"
The floor manager called for off air, as the cluster of crew members flew onto the set, fixing hair and makeup, refilling water again, and such.
Carrie leant forward and touched Alvin on the knee, "But seriously, you're ok now, the whole lake incident?"
Alvin nodded, "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine now...bit of a shock"
Brittany breathed in deep, "Scared the crap outta us, that's for sure" and flicked her hair a little.
Carrie nodded in response, "I'll bet"
"I LOVE YOU ALVIN!" someone from the audience called out, as Alvin looked into the audience, trying to find where the cry had come from and simply flashed a smile, and winked, waving the general direction he thought it came from, and calling back, "Back at ya random fan!" he laughed and settled back on the lounge, patting Brittany's leg and whispering to her, "But I love you more"
She smiled and kissed his cheek, "I know you do...you better anyway"
He laughed as Jenny came onto the set, crouching before Alvin and Brittany, "So, have you decided on the song you'd like to sing?"
Carrie whipped her head around, "Oh yeah, thanks for doing this; sorry it was such short notice"
Alvin looked at the others and shrugged, "No biggie, it's cool" he turned his attention back to Jenny, "Uhh, umm" he rubbed his hand down his face and looked at Simon and Theodore, "I'm may need your help though"
They looked at each other and back at Alvin, "Sure, what you gonna play?"
Alvin looked over at the band pit and back at his brothers, "No idea, maybe the lucky audience member can suggest something?"
Jenny gave a questioning look, "Are you sure you're up to something so on the fly like that?"
Alvin shrugged, "Can't hurt" he reclined back, his arms behind his head, "I like to be kept on my toes...but you have my acoustic just in case yeah?" he smiled as Jenny stood nodding, "Yeah and we have quick access to a keyboard if you need that too" she smiled again before she walked off stage, chatting into the headset as Jeanette leant forward looking at Alvin, "You sure that's a wise decision?"
Alvin smiled and shrugged, "When have I ever been known to be 'wise' and sh*t?" He leant forward; "It'll be fine" he looked at his brothers, "We have a fair range repertoire so we'll be sweet"
Simon smirked, "Not in the least bit over confident are we?"
Alvin laughed as the floor manager came onto the set, bending over to talk as the others all leant in, paying attention, "Ok, so you guys are doing great, again thanks so much"
"Again, it's our pleasure" Theodore beamed as the floor manager nodded and placed his hand on his headset nodding at something before smiling again at the group, turning to Carrie he smiled, "On again in about 5 minutes" and ran off to his desk near the audience.
Another crew member brought on a fresh pile of cue cards for Carrie and placed them on the side table next to her.
She smiled picking them up and flipped through the first few, "Ok, so these are a bunch of questions from the audience and some have been collected from our facebook and twitter pages, and basically, we just want quick answers, one liners if you can, that type of thing"
The gang nodded, showing they understood as Carrie added, "Oh, but if there's a funny story behind one, well, we'll just push overtime for that" she winked in Alvin's direction who held his hands in defence, "Why you looking at me?" he said laughing, as the others laughed too, Carrie adding, "Lots of things seem to happen to you, Alvin Seville"
He opened his mouth to say something, but changed his mind and smiled, nodding, as the floor manager called out, "2 minutes til air time!"
Simon leant forward and took a mouthful of water from his glass and turned to Jeanette, "How you holding up?"
She smiled and nodded, "I'm doing ok" she blushed; Jeanette was never one to like being in the spotlight, but knew it was part and parcel with who they were, and moments like this, where everyone was present because it meant the focus could be shared and shifted between them all, and she was quite happy for Alvin and Brittany to take the limelight.
Simon smiled and gripped her hand, giving it a small squeeze and kissed her on the cheek as the floor manager gave a countdown to when they were next on air.
Another swipe of the powder brush and the red light on the camera came on; Carrie welcoming everyone back and turned to the gang, "OK, so this is probably one of my favourite parts of the show, where I get to ask these guys your questions in a round of Rapid Fire" the audience clapped and cheered as the guys and girls settled into the lounge, sitting up a little more.
Carrie explained how the questions were collated and straightened her pile of cue cards, "Ok, so you guys ready for this?"
They all nodded as Alvin said, "Bring it on baby"
Carrie smiled at him and read from her cards, "Ok, oh this one, from Lisa, wants to know who can hit the highest note, vocally?"
They all looked at each other, before Jeanette and Simon, Eleanor and Brittany all said, "Probably Alvin"
"Yeah I'd say Alvin"
"He probably has the highest vocal range"
"Yeah, Alvin"
Carrie looked a little surprised, "Really? I thought perhaps one of the girls?"
Brittany shook her head, "I can hit some high ones that's for sure, but Alvin can reach probably an octave higher, huh?"
Alvin leant back on the lounge, "I'll take that one"
Carrie was about to read the next card, when she couldn't help but ask, "Ok, I'm curious now; give us a demo?"
Alvin looked at her, "What, now?"
Carrie nodded as the audience cheered on encouragement.
Alvin laughed and shrugged, "Alright then" he stood up and looked at Brittany, "You too, they need proof I can hit 'em higher"
Brittany smiled as Alvin helped her stand up and looked at him, "Scale through?"
Alvin nodded as they focused and started on the lowest note they could, working their way up the scales, Brittany stopping at her highest note as Alvin carried through an octave higher.
Once they'd finished, the audience erupted in cheers and claps, as did Carrie and the others, as Alvin and Brittany sat back down, catching their breath slightly; Alvin leaning and getting a drink for them both, passing a glass to Brittany, who smiled and took a sip.
Carrie nodded, "That is impressive"
Alvin smiled and nodded, "I win" he beamed, getting his breath back.
Carrie laughed and looked again at her cards, "Ok, Samson wants to know, if you could be one type of beer or alcoholic beverage what would it be?"
Alvin called out, "BEER!"
Carrie laughed along with the audience, "Any particular one?"
Alvin shook his head, "Nah, whatever people wanna say is the best, that's me" he nodded confidently as Brittany added, "I'd probably be some really girly, really pink cocktail, like a cosmopolitan or something" she giggled.
Alvin pointed to Simon, "You'd be a straight up whisky or scotch"
Simon looked at him, "What? Why?"
Alvin shrugged, "Cause you're that type of guy; straight up, no muckin' about or sh*t"
Simon smiled, "I think that was a compliment" he laughed as Theodore tilted his head, "Maybe I'd be a cider?"
Eleanor nodded, "Make me a bubbly cocktail!" she giggled as Jeanette looked around, "Just me left? Ok I'll say I'd probably be, maybe a sweet white wine" Brittany looked down at her and nodded in approval, Alvin laughed, "Geez we sound like a bunch of alchos...I swear we're not big drinkers" he shrugged and looked at the rest of the group, "Ok, they're not" Carrie looked at the next question, "Most embarrassing situation? Comes from Olivia and Frankie"
Alvin laughed, "Having the nation know I danced around in a pair of heels" the audience laughed as Brittany added, "Having the nation know Alvin danced around in a pair of heels" she laughed as Alvin shook his head, "Nah, I'd say running for the winning touchdown at a football game, and having some guy come and tackle me, my pants rip, and get pulled off, so I'm left pretty much streaking down the field" he laughed as he retold the story, "Needless to say, no one came after me, so I scored the final touchdown and then piss bolted off the field" the audience burst out laughing.
"What would you rather, $50,000 or true love?"
Both Jeanette and Simon, and Eleanor and Theodore said True love, as did Brittany, who then looked over at Alvin, who was pretending to think about it.
She nudged him as he laughed, "Well, the money would be nice" he smiled at Brittany, "But seeming as how I have my girlfriend right next to me, I'll say true love" he gave a warm smile to Brittany as the audience broke out into a chorus of "awwws".
"Leilani wants to know, if you could change anything in your lives what would it be?"
Alvin quickly jumped in, "No school!" he laughed as Jeanette, taking the question a little more seriously, responded, "This might sound a little, um, well, I don't know how people will take it, but I'd like to just not be in the spotlight so much" she shrugged and wrung her hands slightly, showing her nerves, "I guess it's just I don't handle so well in the spotlight as my sisters do, especially Brittany" she turned to the others and then the audience, "But I don't want anyone to think for a second I'm not grateful for all this and I love, love, love all our fans, I do, but I'm just a bit reserved in personality and yeah"
Carrie nodded, "Hey I can totally understand, you guys have been in the spotlight and on the media's radar for years now, and I can imagine it can get hard always having your every move watched, or documented"
Simon nodded, "Yeah, I mean I guess I agree a little with Jeanette, and this is why I, in particular love being a school so much"
"Nerd!" Alvin interrupted; Simon glaring at him, ignoring him and continuing, "It's somewhere we've all kinda grown up in, so everyone's used to us and we get treated like any other average kid at school"
Carrie nodded as she read another question, "Ooh, this one is good; Katelyn wants to know if acting would ever be on the cards for you?"
Brittany smiled, "I would love to have the opportunity to do that more"
"That's cause you're a Diva" Eleanor pointed out, giggling a little making Brittany smile smugly.
"More?" Carrie questioned.
Simon nodded, "We've done a few tele-movie type things and spoofs of well known films when we were younger, but not so much now"
"Don't have time, that's what it comes down to mostly" Alvin said, shrugging, "See this is why school is a waste of time" he shook his head laughing and adding quickly, "No seriously, kids stay in school, hell if I can get through it, you should be able to as well" he pointed out at the camera, "Seriously, stay in school though"
"Out of your group, who would most likely, um, oh who would be most likely to do a dare for $1?"
Everyone looked at Alvin, saying in unison, "Alvin"
Alvin just laughed, "Hell I'd do it for free!"
The audience laughed as Carrie asked another, "Who is most romantic?"
They all looked down the line and Eleanor pointed out to Simon and Brittany on either end of the lounge, "Simon's a romantic at heart, but Britt goes overboard come Valentine's Day"
Simon just lowered his head and blushed as Carrie asked, "Who's the least romantic then?"
They all shouted out, "Alvin!" and laughed as he shrugged, "Who needs romance?" he stood up facing the audience, "Come on ladies, who wouldn't want a piece of me?"
The audience hollered and whistled as Alvin took his seat again, grinning at Brittany who giggled and rolled her eyes.
Carrie lowered her cards momentarily, "Wait, so I'm curious now, what would your ideal romantic date be, like guys, what would you do for the girls?"
Alvin gave Brittany a look, which she instantly knew what he was trying to indicate and closed her eyes, smiling and nudged him a little, shaking her head slightly and mouthing "No" so only he could see.
Simon thought a moment and sat up a little, "Well, I'd start the night with a nice restaurant, playing all her favourites, then after taking a moonlit stroll and ending up somewhere under the stars where we could just talk the night away" he smiled a little bashfully, looking over at Jeanette, who was a slight shade of pink as the audience joined in with 'awws'.
Theodore clasped his hands in his lap and swayed his feet a little, "I like cooking, and so I'd probably cook all Ellie's favourites...we have a lot of fun in the kitchen, baking and stuff. Um, maybe after we could go to I dunno, something fun like bowling or the movies" he paused a moment and corrected himself, "Uh, maybe not the movies" he gave a sideways smile, blushing slightly as the others all sniggered, Eleanor patting his leg, "Um, and, well it's probably sounding like a typical teenage date, but, that's the kinds of things I know we like, and I wouldn't wanna change that"
Carrie nodded, looking at Alvin, "And what would you do?"
Alvin rolled his eyes, smiling, "Umm, look I already said I'm not romantic, that's more Britt's forte; can't I just palm the organising of the date details to her?"
The audience hurled a thunder of No's; Alvin flinching a little, "Ok, ok, I get it, geez, calm down" the audience laughed as he leant on the lounge arm, "Well, lemme see" he looked over at Brittany, "I'd be different" he gestured towards Simon and Theodore, "Those two would keep it fairly low key, under the radar type, me on the other hand, I'd wanna go all out...so we'd start at the most expensive restaurant, and I'd have, I dunno, some awesome artist to play that night, then probably kick over to some concert hall, which I would've booked out just for us, give her a private concert" he laughed, "But seeing as this is Britt, she'd probably want in on the performing too, so that may backfire" she giggled a little, somewhat confirming that may be true as Alvin shifted a little, "Then, I dunno, maybe head up the top of somewhere where we could watch the fireworks I've organised" he shrugged, "Not bad for on the spot huh?" the audience laughed as Carrie asked, "Oh so this isn't anything you're planning on doing then?"
Alvin laughing, "Well it was, but now she knows" he joked, "Can't do it anymore" the audience laughed and cheered.
"Oh this could be interesting, who would you call on most when you were in trouble?"
Both Brittany and Jeanette said Eleanor, while she said Theodore or Jeanette and giggled, shrugging when Brittany questioned her, "Yeah I know you'd be there for me, but I'd probably call Jen or Theo first"
Brittany smiled and nodded, not wanting her emotions to run too high on national TV, and let it slide.
Both Alvin and Theodore said Simon, while he just shrugged, "I can't believe I'd say this, but yeah, maybe Alvin...maybe, only cause I can't call on myself" he laughed, "Or Dave, I'd call Dave"
"Who'd strip for $100?"
Alvin laughed, "I'd like to say Britt" who looked at him wide eyed as he held his hands up defensively, "But I know that'll never happen, so I'll say me again"
The others nodded, Jeanette adding, "You'd probably do it for less cash" she giggled.
Alvin shook his head laughing, "Well there goes my dignity"
Carrie leant over and pulled a hundred dollar bill from beside her; the audience cheered as Alvin groaned, and shook his head smiling, "Oh sh*t, are you serious?"
Carrie nodded, waving the money in front of him as he stood, "I already took my shirt off, what more do you want?"
Brittany tugged on his jeans, making him step forward a little, batting her away, "What?! No way!"
The audience grew louder as Alvin winked and started undoing his belt, making the audience squeal in delight, and teasing them by looking like he'd lower his jeans, until he laughed and shook his head, doing his belt back up, "Nah, nah, I'm kidding, I'm not doing that" the audience responded with cries and clapping, he rolled his eyes and flashed his chest, sending the ladies in the audience squealing again and sat back down, pointing into the audience, "Steph would do it!" he laughed, "Steph has done it!"
The camera shot images of Steph, sinking into her chair, shaking her head but laughing.
She pointed out to Alvin and mouthed the words, "You are so dead" and laughed again as the cameras shot back to the stage.
Carrie wiped her eyes from laughing so hard and took a breath in, "Ok, so no money for you then"
Alvin smiled, shaking his head as Carrie flipped to the next card, "Ooh, what do you want to be doing in the future? Like where do you see yourselves?"
They all paused a moment to ponder the question over, "Oh crap, that's um, yeah" Alvin said, rubbing his neck, "I dunno, I mean, I'd like to still be writing music and performing I guess"
Simon and Theodore nodded, with Simon adding, "Yeah, but maybe with something else on the side, I'd like to head up or be part of some scientific research team" he smiled proudly, "I'd like to be noted for a Nobel Prize one day, that's probably my biggest goal"
Carrie nodded as Theodore added, "Yeah, I mean I'd love to keep performing and doing music too as long as people are still enjoying it, but I'd like to keep at my culinary skills too"
Brittany looked at her shoes, "I'd like to be married someday" she lifted her head, glancing over at Alvin and smiling softly as Carrie laughed out loud along with the audience, "Ooh pressure's on there now, Alvin"
He sat himself up a bit more and coughed, "Um, yeah...right" he rubbed his eyes a little, "Wait that sounded bad, no I'd like that too" the audience cheered as he smiled and looked a little sternly at them, "But not now, geez, we're 18! No, not yet, someday sure, but not yet, whoa" the audience laughed as Jeanette and Eleanor smiled at Simon and Theodore, "Yeah marriage is on that list of things to achieve in the future" Eleanor smiled, patting Theodore's leg, "But don't worry Teddy, I'm in no hurry, just yet"
Theodore mimicked wiping his brow dramatically as Carrie leant over and picked up a second set of cards from her side table, "Alright now these are where the game of Rapid Fire really comes into play, these questions are one word answers only, choosing from one or the other"
The gang nodded as Carrie fired away, "Chocolate or Vanilla?"
Everyone except Jeanette and Simon said Chocolate.
"Vampire or Werewolf?"
Alvin nodded, "Vampires are sexier"
The others were divided; Brittany, Eleanor saying Vampire, while Theodore, Jeanette and Simon said Werewolf.
"Christmas or Halloween?"
Everyone except Alvin said Christmas, "OK, well more sexy nurses, sexy French maids and sexy bunnies for me then" he laughed.
"Summer or Winter?"
Simon and Jeanette both said Winter, while the others sad Summer, although Brittany added, "But it depends on the fashion at the time, sometimes winter fashion is super cute"
"Ok this one's for the guys, boxers or briefs? I think it's in the sense of like satin boxers right?" Carrie looked over at the floor manager for confirmation, as he nodded and she turned back to the group, "Yeah, so boxers or briefs boys? The women in the audience are dying to know this one"
Alvin smirked and stood up, pulling the band of his underwear up, "I'm an Alvin Klein's man, personally" the audience cheered and whistled as Simon nodded politely, "Briefs then" and Theodore nodded, "Yeah briefs, but them boxer kind" he nodded at Alvin.
"Stuck in a broken elevator, or stuck on a broken ski lift?"
Alvin asked, "Am I alone, or can I be stuck with someone?"
Carrie shrugged, "Why, what would you answer be?"
Alvin laughed, "Oh I'd rather be stuck in an elevator either way, but it'd be a hell of a lot less boring if someone else was stuck in there too"
The others all agreed they'd rather the elevator too.
Carries smiled and looked out in the audience, "Well, that brings us to the end of our Rapid Fire questions and we're going to head into a commercial soon, and when we come back, these guys will perform a fan favourite, but coming up next, Alvin has a surprise for one of our audience members; you won't want to miss this one" she smiled down the camera, "See you all soon"
The floor manager signalled they were off air as everyone reached down for a glass of water and stretched a little, wandering into the audience to sign more autographs, take more photos and chat a bit more.
Bruno craned his neck around to try and catch a better glimpse of this girl, but there were too many people standing around blocking his view.
"Dammit" he thought to himself, "I need to know if it's her or not"
Brittany, Eleanor and Simon swung by Alex, Steph and Bruno, Simon asking, "You guys still hanging in there? Not too bored?"
Alex laughed, "Are you kidding, this is gold!"
Steph laughed, agreeing, "Yeah, oh man I nearly lost it when you guys mentioned the heels thing"
Bruno just nodded and smiled, "It's great, you guys are doing great" his mind a little preoccupied.
Eleanor sighed happily and stretched a little, "Well, you'll be glad to know, we only got one more segment then after that" she yawned, "We can head back to the hotel, I need a nap"
Brittany nodded, "Yeah same here"
On coming back to air, Carrie smiled, "Now before these guys end our show with one of my personal favourites, Alvin has agreed to surprise a fan from our audience by singing live to them" the audience cheered as Carrie read a name from the card, "Where is Monica Everest?"
A young brunette teen jumped up squealing, as Bruno's mouth dropped open, "I don't %$# ing believe it"
Steph watched as the girl bounded down the steps of the aisle and hugged into Alvin, before greeting the others and looked back at Bruno, "That's her?"
Bruno nodded, "That's her"
Alex raised his eyebrow, and smirked a little, "I can see what attracted you to her"
Steph frowned and punched him in the arm, "Hey!"
Alex shook his head, "You two slept together" pointing at both Steph and Bruno as Steph opened then closed her mouth, slumping back in the seat, "That's not fair" as Alex shrugged, looking at Bruno, "What are the odds huh?"
Bruno shook his head, "We gotta find her after"
Steph looked at him, "What?! You can't be serious?"
Bruno nodded, "Yeah, I gotta talk to her, I just need to...find out some things"
Alex nudged Steph, "Shh, they're about to play again"
Steph sighed and shifted in her seat, thinking, "If she so much as hurts you again, she's mine"
Monica came back over and sat on a stool they'd given Alvin, as he put his guitar on and fixed his headset in, and looked out at the audience, "OK, now this was kinda sprung on me like moments before coming on air" he turned back to Monica, "Sooo, what song ya want?"
Monica looked out in the audience and back at Alvin shrugging, a little start struck, "I, I'm not sure, whatever you'd like to play I guess?"
Alvin tapped his guitar, "'Kay that doesn't help" he mumbled then cleared his throat, "Come on Mon, there's gotta be a song you've always wanted sung to you...or just one that you can think of at the top of ya head, I'll take either"
Monica looked out in the audience as people started suggesting songs; Alvin trying to keep an ear out for ones he knew he could play confidently, holding his guitar pick between his teeth.
One suggestion was thrown out when Alvin held his hand up, "That'll do!" he took the pick from his teeth and held it between his fingers.
Monica looked at him in anticipation as he smiled at her, "Just sit back and enjoy" he looked over at Simon and Theodore, "Gimme a hand guys?"
Simon and Theodore nodded and made their way over to the band pit as the audience clapped and cheered.
Alvin adjusted his headset once more and walked over to Simon and Theodore, as they got themselves settled at their instruments and whispered to them.
He walked back over to Monica and started strumming on the guitar the opening bars to 'She's so High'

Alvin walked around the stool, maintaining eye contact with Monica, playing into it.

The audience stood and cheered, as Alvin gave Monica another open armed hug and 'Hollywood Kiss' and passed the stool off to one of the crew as Monica thanked Simon and Theodore before heading back to her seat, the audience cheering her on, and the cameras following her to her seat, plastering close up footage of Monica, all flustered and giggling.
Steph rolled her eyes and looked back on the set as Carrie clapped, walking over to them, followed by the girls, as Alvin took out his ear plugs, and took a bow, the audience carrying on with cheers.
As the girls put their headsets back on, and pushed their ear plugs in place, Carrie concluded the show, "So a big thank you to our special guests, the Chipmunks and Chipettes; Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor; you can catch them at their concerts in Vegas from July 18th, tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am sharp! All the details are on our website of where to get tickets and venue information" she beamed proudly, "And now to take us out tonight, the Chipmunks and Chipettes will sing one of my personal favourites, 'Girls and Boys of Rock and Roll'; Take it away!" she swept her hand across to them and stepped back, as Alvin nodded to Theodore to take them away.
Theodore smiled and hit down on the drums, as Alvin strummed up, leaning back to back with Brittany:
