Author's Note
Hey everyone!
I know, SUPER long time no see right? Well, I'm still here, and thought I'd post a little about what's been going on.
Many of you would know my husband and I have been trying to forge our way through a mountain of paperwork, interviews, training and information to become permanent carers. We tackled this task last year and pretty much spent a good 10 months of the year with this, hoping and praying we wouldn't have to wait too long to be matched to a child...
Well, we didn't have to wait long at all! After only 5 weeks of having confirmation that we were approved to go into the pool for permanent care (and into adoption) we had a call of an 8 month old little girl.
We love her to pieces and she's now 14 months old and full of energy and a huge blessing to answered prayers, seriously cannot thank God enough for her!
I've also started writing again; bear with me, as I can only write at certain times of the day in amongst all the other responsibilities I have to get done in the day, however, I re-read through the whole story again and became excited at where to take it next...I did have MAJOR writer's block for ages, I couldn't seem to figure out how to link the story from where the last chapter ended and into the next one...but I think I've done it, and now I can continue pressing on with the ideas that have been aimlessly floating around my head.
I'm about halfway or so through the next chapter and my hope is to post it soon, then I'll try and get at least another two chapters done before posting them. I've been known to write fairly long and substantial chapters and I don't want to simply post something because it might make people happy that I finally have written something (and that i'm still around)
I truly appreciate the time you've all taken to invest in my story and in me, and I love reading through all the reviews, especially those that can really reflect and have put thought into their comments - so thank you! I am so sorry it's taken me such an incredibly long time to post again, however I hope as the story continues, as the chapters roll out, you won't be disappointed.
