Another Path
Wait a second... could it really be?... *dramatic pause* yeah, it's the new chapter! I know it took me some time to finish this new chapter but I have my final exams soon and then I'm finally on summer holidays! That should give me all the time I need to update my stories or publish new ones.
For the new writers or the usual ones, if you don't like the story then don't read it. And also remember my blogs in my profile.
And as always, FORGET about cannon power levels!
And now let's enjoy this!
Chapter 32: Monsters of Darkness
Surprise wasn't what Babidi was feeling going all over his midget-sized body. He was exited. Almost exhilarated. The monster from the uninhabited Konats was proving to already be a massive force that would perfectly work for his plans. Along with Ledgic, the two beasts would full Buu's cocoon in no time.
"Now, Paparappa!" The warlock enchanted. The magic shot from his hands through the crystal ball into the dark monster from another planet. Yet apparently his warlock powers had no kind of leverage over the uncontrollable creäture. That came as a surprise. Apparently the monster wasn't going to fall under his command. Not that it mattered. The Madoshi only needed the monster to beat the energy out of the humans so to feed Majin Buu.
But at the same time, he couldn't help but feel uneasy about those Earthlings Saiyans. Even Ledgic must have known he couldn't win against the whole five of them, not including the Supreme Kai and his attendant. That's why the black-magic warlock was now having another idea for his plans.
His first plan was to absorb all the energy his enemies lost when they fought his servants. But a magical snap of fingers changed that in the ship arena and in East City. Now whatever energy any of the combatants loose would be transferred to Majin Buu.
Better save than sorry, as Earthling usually said.
However, Tarroc was feeling exactly the opposite to Babidi. He wasn't in a blissful state of mind. He was raging like a caged beast, which was left to starve for decades. And the beast only fed upon blood. His black onyx eyes were set deep into his long-time enemy.
"Ledgic!" The hybrid yelled, his hands balled in tight fists. The air around the hybrid was slowly distorting, heating up by the surging ki "You...bastard!" The demi-alien stuttered, when his body spasmed with unrestrained rage.
"Tarroc, wait..." Goku stepped forward, placing a hand on his cousin' shoulder. But the golden ki burnt his hand the pure-blooded Saiyan recoiling his hand in pain. Considering he could touch things hotter than the Sun then it was something serious.
"Stand aside!" The half Saiyan bellowed towards his cousin his body shifting in golden colors of the famous legend. "I alone will make him pay for what he did!" Tarroc blurted out, his body slowly gaining the coloration of his super alien heritage.
"By all means, chimp!" The dark-empowered lackey jeered from the other side of the ship with an evil smirk, his index giving the sign to bring it on. He towered almost an entire foot above his escaped enemy and he could feel that his powers outclassed the weak monkey without even needing to fight "Allow me to impart your family's fate!" His body shifted into a fighting stance a crimson red aura swallowing his muscled body. The ship slightly rattled by the evil power up.
The East Supreme being surveyed the situation with a confused look. But he didn't need to be an expert to know there was more than a grudge going around. And that meant nothing good for Earth. Those two were too powerful. Majin Buu might be revived by their energies.
The Supreme Kai stepped in between the kid and the Majin lackey arms stretched like a star. This situation was getting out of control and he couldn't allow that to happen. The universe depended on that.
"No, you must not fight! Whatever damage you receive will be transferred to Majin Buu!" The Kai stepped in front of the angry powering-up Saiyan. But Tarroc was beyond reason at this point.
"You think I care?!" The angry fighter bellowed in a murderous tone that no one had ever heard from him before. The entire ship was rumbling by his manifesting anger alone. Even his friends were looking in surprise by his raw power "This is my rightful time to claim vengeance! I'm going to turn that bastard into a bloody smear in my fists!" Finally the Super Saiyan form erupted with madness never seen before. Even Goku didn't remember to have been that angry when he first transformed. But the circumstances had been the very same.
"So you will stand aside!" The now yelling Super Saiyan launched his hand forward in open palm, his ki wave air blasting the Supreme Kai into the ship denting the metal wall with a deafening sound. Kibito was immediately running to help his master.
"Master, take us to another place" The dark-empowered alien said out loud towards his magical master, who watched everything. He knew he couldn't risk to destroy Buu's cocoon by the backlash of the fight. The wizard did so, teleporting the fighters and the viewers into a distant planet. It looked like the place, where Gohan had defeated Dabura. Not that it mattered where they were sent to.
The hybrid Super Saiyan wasted no extra second in fooling around and dashed beyond the speed of light into his long-time enemy. The mind-controlled mercenary deflected a forward fist to his right side, leaving Tarroc open while the hunter himself smirked. But once attacking, the golden warrior's body shimmered, his teleporting kicking up and moving him away. Ledgic hit nothing but thin air. That surprised him a bit. He didn't remember that technique back on Planet Imecka.
Something hit Ledgic, however. It was a black boot that had materialized from behind him impacting with deadly strength in the back of the head. The blow sent the mind-controlled alien spiraling head over heels at amazing speeds through the air. He regained control mid air and shot a wide dark red beam into the alien. Tarroc nimbly teleported again reappearing right an inch in front of his green-skinned enemy and delivering a sharp knee strike to the guts. Blood and saliva spat from Ledgic's mouth feeling the amazing strength behind the blows capable of decimating asteroids to dust, his dark green body slanting forward by the pain. Beneath them, the shockwaves made giant boulders to erupt in a shower of flying shrapnel. Not that it affected them.
The wrathful Super Saiyan followed by shooting his head up and head butt his enemy's nose. The nose bone almost cracked into splinters and indented the head inwards. Too bad it had been almost. The only result from Tarroc's amazing strike was a broken nose and purple-bleeding eye sockets. The dark violet liquid trickled from the mercenary's ocular orbs down his cheekbones.
The Super Saiyan allowed his opponent to catch his breath from the sound beating. To be fair, the hybrid was forcefully holding back his body-reading ability to make the fight last a bit longer and have more fun. And with that, also extended the Tsukuru-seijinn' suffering. So he was going to defeat Ledgic eventually. There were no other options available for the bastard.
Tarroc casually catched a sloppy fist with his left hand, his right hand moving faster than his enemy and forcefully clutching Ledgic's throat. As easy as the hybrid could end things with a snapping sound, he wanted some answers first.
"Before I send your sorry ass to Hell, tell me what happen on planet Imecka?!" The Super Saiyan bellowed his emerald-green eyes imparting fear without needing a lot of effort. His golden aura only amplified his menacing figure.
"If you must know" The Tsukuru-seijinn replied spitting blood before continuing "When your stupid father thought that I had almost beheaded you and sent you away with that space pod, he used the reflection of it to transform into a giant simian" The mercenary coughed before going on but now grinning like if he had won some sort of trophy "And even then, he was still a weakling compared to me. And just when I thought he couldn't become more of a moron, he decides to blow the planet up along with himself" Ledgic finished "It would have been my end, indeed if it weren't for my master Babidi, who healed me back and increased my strength beyond my previous limits with dark magic!"
Ledgic's spike-covered right forearm bashed to the left his black spikes impacting the golden Super warrior in the cheek, forcing Tarroc to backtrack in the air blood dribbling from the new cuts in his face. That gave Ledgic enough time to shot both of his hands forward, firing a powerful barrage of red blasts into his not-beaten opponent. The clouds of black smoke covered the sight.
"Goku, Gohan, you can't let him do it!" The healed Supreme pleaded to the two stronger Saiyans. The father and son looked at each other in concern. While it was true that a mad Super Saiyan could bring more chaos than good to the situation, at the same time, if felt dishonest if they were to take this chance from a relative of them.
"Sorry Supreme Kai, but we can't stop him now" Gohan answered back, arms folded over his chest and looking at the light speed-pacing fight "Better said, we won't stop him now"
"This is something Tarroc must deal with alone" Goku chimed in, arms folded too. The white-haired man stare back and forth between the two of them.
"But what if he doesn't win?" The mohawk man asked.
"Then he dies with honor like a Saiyan should" Vegeta replied out of the blue, his eyes in the fight. For the first time since knowing about his lost relative, he was glad to have him in the family. Not that he was going to say it out loud to anyone.
"Piccolo, you cannot..." The Kai pleaded but the Namekian wasn't the answer here.
"Even if I wanted, I'm pretty outclassed in here" The former Guardian replied stoic watching the fight. There were days when he had only been second to Goku or Gohan. But now he was falling down the list of helpfulness. He trained as much as he used to but it was obvious his Saiyan friends had more ability to break the limits they had on themselves. Even when he had the potential of three Namekians, it was only getting him so far, which was rather near instead of further away "Besides, instead of hoping for the worst, we should just see how things turn out and then properly act"
"Piccolo's right" The palm-haired full-blooded alien chimed in again "Besides, if Majin Buu is brought back and proves to be that powerful we are not going to fight alone one on one"
"Speak for yourself Kakarot!" Vegeta growled towards his nemesis. If Buu turned out to be so powerful then he would fight on his own and beat him like the rightful royal prince should.
The plumes of smoke cleared out and Tarroc was at sight again. His only damage was done to his clothes, the black gi slightly ragged down. He also had some ashes on his skin but aside from that, nothing really worth noting. His emerald eyes returned to his long-time enemy.
It wasn't over. By a long shot.
While the group with Babidi fought among the stars, the group of humans were still grounded to the motherland. Because they had something worse to take care off. And that thing to take care off was standing with its massive heft, his cat-like eyes darting around the ground.
"Um guys, anyone knows what the fucking Hell is that thing?!" Krillin blurted out. The creature started walking, each step causing a massive earthquake to rattle the city and the continent to its foundations. The Z-fighters took flight to not be swayed aside.
"Nothing good, that's for sure!" Tien replied grimly, feeling the amazing strength the monster had. That same reptilian being set his eyes into the streets, many still alive bystanders running away in fear from the gigantic monstrosity. The monster roared his long tail shooting towards the civilians. The tip spread open and organic pink slimy vines forcefully grabbed the gang of fifty or so people. In less than a second their human bodies were quickly digested and converted into very-needed nourishment for the demon called Hirudegarn.
The human warriors had their jaws on the floor. Not another people leecher.
"It's absorbing the people!" Yamcha yelled, disgusted and also sad by that kind of fate.
"Let's attack now!" The bald monk yelled, the Kaioken flaring up to ten times. He quickly dashed from behind the creäture's back. Before Krillin had connected his strike, however, the monster's body faded into a grey mist that flew away into another populated building. The monk widen his eyes in confusion. He then rubbed his eyes, hoping to not be drugged or something. He was certain he had seen the creature turning into floating dust.
Hirudegarn splitted a building in two, casually removing the twenty-stores top like if it were paper and throwing the concrete piece of building away into the other side of the world by his inhuman strength. The office workers had no time to run before they had been turned into another casual appetizer for the demon alien from Konats.
"Dodon Ray!" Tien yelled, his piercing technique amplified twenty times and going straight for the monster's back of the head. And again, the monster's body disappeared into a white fog. The blast impacted the street caving deep into the sewers and blasting the city's pipes. Slowly, reeking wastewater started to bubble from the culvert inlet. But the monster wasn't affected by so petty things. His steps splashed the murky liquid heading into another populated area in the search for food.
Yamcha quickly teleported right in front of the creäture, his right hand shinning with a concentrated Spirit Ball at thirty times Kaioken. He was not two inches away from the alien, his sphere shooting faster than Match fifty. It was instant hit.
Yet the monster still nimbly dodged it by phasing into intangibility. It was almost like a natural survival reflex that could dodge anything or anyone. The Spirit Ball landed miles away into a mountain range blasting the cliffs into atoms.
"What the..." The bandit almost asked in shock, but a gargantuan chop with the heel of a giant hand hit his orange-cladded body from behind, sending the Turtle student careening at dazzling speeds into a nearby store that crumbled on top of him. The beast roared as the beast he was, the giant stepping only racking the city even further. And the more it moved the more people the creäture absorbed with its yard-long tail to increase its powers.
While Tien went to retrieve Yamcha from beneath the rubble, Krillin increased up to fifty times Kaioken. His red aura blazed around him his hand raising up with his trademark attack.
"Destructo Disk!" The human yelled at top voice, his slicing attack aimed for the absorbing limb. Without it then no more death. But despite's Krillin's best intentions his cutting strike only sliced through white vapour.
"How are we suppose to fight something we can't even hit?" The midget-sized bald guy asked, hoping someone had an idea. Even one of those Bulma's too-many-words-to-understand ideas.
Non of them had an answer. As powerful as they were taking the Kaioken too far was very dangerous. Not to mention impossible. Even after years of training on Earth and sometimes visiting the Other World, the humans had to sadly realise that they weren't Saiyans. They simply couldn't take things up to the same height. One hundred times was the limit for their power ups with Kaioken.
With each person it absorbed, the reptile's powers only grew stronger. It had almost already duplicated its original energies. The humans had simply no way to beat it on their own. They had faced undefeatable enemies before but the new creäture could take the trophy for himself without breaking a sweat.
Sadly, those weren't good news for them or the people of Earth. Specially the hundreds that had already been absorbed.
The scar bandit looked at Tien Shin Han with a smile. Maybe on their own they couldn't.
"Okay Tien, this is it!" The pony-tailed human said towards his long-time three-eyed friend.
"You really think so?" The tryclops asked his friend, who nodded "Okay, let's do it!" The two fighters took off.
"Wait, where are you going?" Krillin asked, but his ki sensing made him aware of an incoming attack. The monk had to quickly amplify his strength fifty times to super dash in the air and avoid a massive fist that almost splatted him like a bug.
"Just buy us some time!" Yamcha yelled back, Tien and himself flying a couple of meters away.
"Buy some time? Are you crazy?!" The monk blurted out. However, a shadow engulfed his frame from above. Krillin had to hastily teleport outside harm's way by mere inches of instant death. The giant open palm descended over the place where Krillin used to be, plowing the concrete hard with hellish might. The spiderweb of cracks spread over the crumbled street, the new chasms going deep as to almost see the lava layer of the planet. The reeking waters spilled inside the cracks and were instantly vaporized into smelly steam by the high temperatures of the deep places of the planet.
The short-sized monk fighter looked in shock to the events unfolding in front of him. They weren't good. Not good at all. Like very bad. The lizard-like monster set his glare into the midget his chest inhaling. But it didn't throw wind gusts out. Only a massive stream of dark red flames, the sheer temperature igniting the air particles, rubble melting even when it was meters away from the epicenter of the blast. Krillin barely had enough time between the shot and the defense to raise his power up to the one hundred limit. He surrounded himself in a red-colored dome shield. It barely holded the sun-like heat that threatened to set fire to the entire city and melt it away with any survivor from the monster's massacre.
The heat stream ended and the monk was barely holding to his life. That attack had had far more power than he had first thought it would have. Even with the shield up his orange clothes still got burned. His eyes closed while his body fell into unconsciousness and also through the air. And beneath him was only the monster's hand to catch him before devouring him.
"Okay this is far enough" The former Crane student stated. The two friends jumped away from each other at least a meter. They could feel the monster's heat attack all the way from where they stood so they knew that they had to hurry. But hurrying wouldn't work for their technique to work properly.
"Fuuu..." The two said, mimicking each other's movements. Their hands traveled above their bodies in an arc motion, their feet shoveling three times.
"Sion!" The humans shot their hands in fist to the other side of their bodies, their legs making a right angle perpendicular to the ground.
"HAAA!" The two fighters united their hands with their indexes in perfect harmony, their legs stretched outwardly. The two bodies were neatly united in a bright flash of magical light.
The white light dimmed and the new fighter was in scene. He was as tall as his fusees with three eyes like Tien. He had long hair like Yamcha. He amazingly had a short green vest with yellow paddling around the neck, which covered down to the ribcage. The new fighter also had shaggy white pants with black boots. And his power was amazing. Much stronger than his fusees at max power.
The new being shot through the air thousands of times the speed of a rocket. He reached the overheated city in no time, puddles of melted concrete, asphalt and even human corpses lying scattered over the destroyed place. With a quick Instant Transmission, the new human teleported his tired friend Krillin away from the dangerous cat-eyed creäture before it had landed on the giant scaly hand. He reappeared in front of his gigantic enemy with a stoic expression on his face. The monster didn't recognize any difference in his present threat from the others he had fought. Only another thing for him to pound at.
"Now monster, face the power of Tiencha!" The new human fighter said out-loud. The Kaioken exploded around him up to one hundred times. The ground rumbled with new rippling tremors but he would not hesitate now.
Tarroc's body arched back in agony, a kick to his spine wrecking his nerves. The former bounty hunter smirked his leg shooting up in the air and descending with the ankle first. The axe leg impacted the Super Saiyan right in the solar Plexus sending him spiraling down.
"Now die, chimp!" The Majin lackey rose his arms a dark green sphere bigger than himself forming with lightnings around its surface. The deadly blast closed the gap with its target in the split of a second the shockwaves washing over the landscape and sending rocks rolling away by the hurricane wind gales.
Tarroc was no longer at sight, only a massive crater of miles wide and yards deep in the same place where he used to be.
"Come on, little monkey!" The Tsukuru-seijinn taunted towards his long-time opponent. He could still smell his sickening smell, which meant Tarroc was still very much alive. That was something Ledgic hated to no end. He wanted to finish the pathetic simian's life in the most painful way possible. The father had avoided that fate with a foolish kamikaze attack but the son wasn't about to elude him so easily.
Specially once his sword was right through his eye.
"He won't make it!" The Supreme Kai stated out-loud frantically "Tarroc can't win this fight!" He, however, was the only one fidgeting and bitching like a...well, bitch. Because the Earthlings were all nice and easy to go.
"Just wait for it, Supreme Kai. He is still playing around" Goku explained with mirth in his voice trying not to laugh by the Kai's shenanigans. The casual comment slapped the Shinjin in the face hard. How could mortals be so relax at such dire times? Where they just oblivious to the truth? Or did they have some secret abilities he didn't know about?
But if such thing was true, then what could be stronger than a Super Saiyan?
Every Z fighter felt the microsecond spike.
"There it is!" Goku commented with a light-hearted tone feeling a spike surge of energy from beneath the alien planet soil. The others felt it too, less than a second later the ground of the alien planet bursting in massive chunks. Fissures spread from the epicenter for miles end, a geyser of magma exploding from behind the screaming figure.
The golden aura vibrated around Tarroc's bulkier frame, arcs of lightnings flashing by the new ki. The orange color of the lava only increased his badass appearance.
Ledgic was feeling rather uneasy now. The new power his enemy had was nothing like he had expected. He had heard that Saiyans could go Super Saiyan. But whatever Tarroc was doing was at least two times stronger than the regular Super Saiyan. But what could it be?
"Don't think a flash of light will save your sorry life!" The majin lackey taunted, his dark red aura bursting around him. He shot forward, his left hand clutching his right protrusion on his shoulder and unsheathed one of his trademark shiny swords. The weapon lashed from right to left with the speed of light, ready to behead the first-Ascended Saiyan. The Ascended warrior barely rose his forearm, the metal clashing against the super-powered muscle and shattering the weapon in two.
Ledgic had no time to gawk in astonishment or terror by the display. The split of seconds his sword's tip separated from the blade, the alien hybrid had already grabbed it and quickly perforated the Majin right in the middle of the lungs into the heart. Rivulets of dark liquid splashed from the mind-controled mercenary, Tarroc's hand almost all the way inside his enemy. From the sidelines, only the Supreme Kai and Kibito were the ones more disgusted by the actions.
"Come back from that one, bitch!" Tarroc taunted his right hand going deeper into his enemy's thorax the sword's tip now showing through Ledgic's back and casually falling to the ground after creating the first hole. But the hybrid still had his arm embodied into his opponent his hand clutching some organ. The Ascended Saiyan didn't care which one was. Because his purple-shinning Atom Smasher was already charging now.
The agonizing mercenary alien suddenly felt a new heat warming up from his bowels. And it wasn't his own doing. The warmth turned into nuclear temperature his flesh cooking from the inside out. His hands punched the hybrid in the face attempting to get free in frantic desperation of survival completely ignoring Babidi's orders for Majin Buu's revival. But nothing could move the ironclad human-Saiyan from fulfilling his vengeance. This was a long-way coming for the bastard who murdered his father. The attacks he received only made the human-alien grin even more. Each time he was hit the sound of broken bones from the hands could be heard. The dark green skin was slowly blistering, the following seconds churning black and literally boiling into vapor floating high into the clouds. Ledgic would have cried out for mercy if he didn't have his lungs as nothing but melting globs.
Only a puddle with the smoking remains was all that could remind someone of the former bounty hunter called Ledgic. The full-powered Super Saiyan Two stared down at the remains, his body turning back to normal black-haired self. The deed had been done.
"How are you feeling, cous?" Gohan asked towards his relative. The normally mildly-crazy guy was rather silent now. It was almost unsettling. But the following smirk made everybody know that he was more than fine.
"After inventing that epic death, I feel like a boss" Tarroc replied with a grin of confidence. Madness was back in its proper place.
"As much as you enjoyed your revenge, what you just did was plain reckless!" The Supreme Kai exclaimed with an angry tone towards the hybird Saiyan. The latter looked a bit sorry for that. Amazingly though, the white-haired being now smiled "But it was also quite impressive" The Shinjin now replied with a more cheerful tone. If the four Saiyans and Piccolo were equal in strength then even Majin Buu would find himself against a force to reckon with.
Kibito placed a hand on Tarroc's spiky hair, sending healing waves down his body. In just a couple of minutes the wounds were gone. Not that Tarroc couldn't have healed naturally but the sentiment was appreciated. The half human-alien looked at his hands. He had healed a bit stronger thanks to his gens. Never he thought that Ledgic would harm him in the first place but now the good results were at sight.
The Madoshi saw all his plan, his years of thinking going down the toilet. Literally everything he had come up with had been turned to shit.
"Curse them all!" The wizard cried out in pure anger his magic creating lightning arcs to flash around the crystal sphere. His minion had failed. And the Konatsian monster couldn't be controlled by his dark magic. Nothing was working like he had wanted. He no longer had minions to do his biding, he was utterly defenceless.
However, a new beeping noise from behind him took the warlock's thoughts away. "What the..." Babidi' sight diverted into the giant purple cocoon his father had left in the green planet ages ago. It was glowing orange from the inside. Steam escaped from many holes on its grooved surface. The warlock's defeated expression shifted into an evil grin of superiority.
"Yes, Majin Buu is back!" The Madoshi yelled in evil happiness. His plans did come to be. "Time for my bragging!" He snapped his fingers, performing his magic again.
The aliens inside Babidi' ship had barely registered something happening around them, when they were all teleported to the outside of the spacecraft. They were back to the place where the ship had been buried. The sky, however, had turned into a dark storm coloration. And there were rumbling earthquakes cursing through the ground, sending fissures through it. That was really odd.
In front of the fighters, the Madoshi showed up with his teleporting magic the giant cocoon behind his midget-sized frame.
"Behold puny mortals, because the terror of the universe has been revived!"
Notes from Chapter 32:
I really didn't want to add the scenes, where Babidi checks the energy watch so I just skipped them all.
Okay Tarroc may have been a bit of both careless and reckless. Technically speaking, he was Majin Vegeta of the story. But considering he lost the only family relative he ever had, well Majin Buu can go suck it!
Yes, Hirudegarn and Majin Buu will be fighting at the same time. Not to each other of course.
Yamcha and Tien learnt the fusion during the seven years gap.
I don't know if you people know this, but Ledgic was powerful in GT. Now combine it with Babidi's magical increase. But also remember that Tarroc has two super Saiyans and has a special fighting-reading gift. And also I have to save some fighting for the future enemies.
Maybe Ledgic's death was odd but it's better than blowing him up from the inside out like what Frieza did against Krillin on Namek during the cannon Manga/Anime.
I don't know how many people Hirudegarn has to eat to increase his powers.
