Another Path

A new chapter for my fans! Sorry if it took so long but I don't have a lot of motivation for Dragon Ball stories at the moment. The change from awesome fights in Dragon Ball to the move-established Pokemon is quite the transition. But I can handle it.

This story is sadly drawing close to the end but we have some time before that. At least I'll make sure of that.

Now rant time: There won't Super Saiyan God. In this story or any other Dragon Ball stories. I thought the Red one was stupid but his new brother Blue took the trophy for itself. In fact they don't exist in my Dragon Ball Universe. They won't be mentioned unless I want to insult them. Don't like then don't read.

Now let's head into the struggle!

Chapter 33: A Madness Long Lost

The clouds exploded with bright flashes of lightning surging through the highest layers of the atmosphere. The band of heroes looked around them in confusion. Those kinds of things were what they were first expecting for an ancient revival of a monster. But at least more flashy. Obviously Babidi hadn't bothered about those little details when bringing back to life a primordial entity of chaos.

The corrugated cocoon emanated a pinkish gas towards the stormy heavens splitting in two perfect halves. The dark Madoshi was gazing up to the shaping vapor with his expectations overly high. He couldn't wait to see what kind of horrible monster his ancestor had created long ago. The heroes of Earth had the opposite thought thinking how they would handle the new and mysterious creature.

Yet the steam wasn't turning into something menacing. The form it took looked like a living balloon with a fat body. The weird creature had white pants with an M at his belt and a black vest on his chest. There was a small antenna at the top of his head.

"BUUU!" The pink blob yelled childishly to no one raising his arms up. The Supreme Kai grinded his teeth together, fear and desperation running over him. For the Earthling fighters, however, only a sweat drop showed up on their heads.

"Um, Supreme Kai, is 'that' really the big monster?" Goku whispered towards the Kai, not believing that a pinkish blob was the most fearsome creature in the whole universe. He had quite a lot of ki that was for sure. But his looks and attitude were the complete opposite.

"Just an over-inflated balloon!" Vegeta growled in anger his veins poking through his skin by the sheer frustration. This was all below him. It wasn't even worth the effort.

The Madoshi was just as gobsmacked as the Earthlings were. But he didn't care. Buu was alive and under his complete will.

"Buu, I'm your master Babidi, you must do as I command" The wizard said acting like if he was the strongest being around. Which he wasn't by a great margin. The fat blob paid no heed to the egomaniac's comments and just looked around the landscape with curiosity. That angered the Madoshi to no end "Are you deaf, fool?! I told you to follow my orders!" Now the pinkish Majin looked at the puke-skinned midget. He wasn't bright of mind but Buu did know how to recognize an insult in any part of the cosmos.

"Buu not like you" The fat being stated with a childish tone. Yet the next split of a second his gloved hand had slapped Babidi's face and beheaded the Madoshi without a second thought of pity. And that was the end of the warlock and his bloodline.

"Alright he's a bit dangerous" Tarroc noted with half sarcasm in his voice. But he did feel it for just a lingering second just like the other fighters did. A deep well of incomparable power inside the fat rubber-like creature.

Vegeta in his usual charming way just snorted derogatorily.

"Step back, cowards. Leave him to a true fighter!" Vegeta yelled, bursting into his Super Saiyan Two transformation, arcs of lightning engulfing his short frame with his muscles bulking and his eyes becoming a dark shade of blue. The ground cracked even with the powers of the Ascended form perfectly controlled. The green world shuddered by the new ki source next to the powerful Majin. Before anyone could stop him, the Royal alien shot forward beyond the speed of light, his hips gyrating in the split of seconds and delivering a painful roundhouse to the creature's head. The rubbery material dented and Buu recoiled. Amazingly, he was smiling before the face returned back to normal. As if the Majin had only deflated himself. Vegeta raised his eyebrow for a brief second in surprise. But then his scowl returned at full Saiyan splendor, his godly aura igniting the air around him. His gloved hand soon followed with a short uppercut to the stomach, bending the monster forward. The Saiyan rapidly continued with a high knee to the nose sending the creature up for a few meters arching backwards. Vegeta neatly dashed faster than a blur and from above the monster delivered a downwards elbow to the sternum plowing the Majin into the barren ground, earthquakes spreading over the globe. His barrage of attacks rained down over the monster from all possible angles.

"Hear me out; you must be extremely cautious against Majin Buu!" The Supreme Being stated, eyes fixed on the Prince engaging in melee combat with the ancient monster of the Seventh universe "He may not look like a serious fighter but his powers are nothing to laugh at. Vegeta can already see what I and the other Kais had to suffer when fighting something we had no knowledge of!"

"Sure he is powerful but Gohan and I can take him if we want to" Goku chimed in honestly. It was true. While Vegeta as a Super Saiyan Two might not do a lot but amuse the creature, both Goku and Gohan were much stronger than the arrogant prince. And that was only as Ascended Super Saiyans.

"It's not just his powers, Goku. It's his abilities. Majin Buu has countless of them, each one more dangerous than the next" The Shinjin replied to the pure-blooded alien raised on Earth.

"Like what?" Gohan asked just a tad curious but also serious. The challenge sounded interesting but the hybrid wasn't taking any risk with his home planet at stake.

A sudden explosion of all kinds of colors coming from the battlefield left the question hanging in the air.

The vest-dressed three-eyed Tiencha floated up, meeting the alien monster face to face. The leecher of people had no idea who the new being was. But every life form he came across had to be destroyed without a second glance around. The reptilian alien roared the ground trembling soon after.

"Okay, your time is up!" The fused being stated folding his arms ready. There was still a gap of power between the two but that was soon to be closed. The red color of ki slowly built around the new being's frame the power-up ready to burst. He had to focus everything in one last attack.

"Kaioken times one hundred!" The fused being yelled. Unlike his separate parts, Tiencha could take the Kaioken up to higher multipliers than just fifty without suffering deadly strain from it. The veins pocked on Tiencha's skin ready to blow up. The devastated city rumbled with new earthquakes created solely by the incredible source of life energy.

The alien creature swiped his humongous hand trying to swat the annoying red-glowing human like a fly. But the new fighter simply teleported meters away in a split second. Now it was the time.

"Take this!" The fused being bellowed cupping his hands in front of his face in the shape of a triangle. The Human fighter literally zoomed into his enemy so as to get a clearer shot from behind. The monster seemed to not have noticed the building blast "Turtle Beam HAAA!" A blue energy blast with traces of yellow fired off faster than light, Hirudegarn only looking up to see it coming his way. The attack was a perfect combination of the Kamehameha wave and the Tri-Beam. Unlike the original Tri-Beam, however, this attack had much more raw power and less life-force depleting drawbacks.

Maybe it also counted the fact Tiencha had the combined life force of two people.

The fused blasts hit the alien devourer right at his hunched back making him howl in pain by the concentrated power; enough to atomize objects bigger than the Earth. Hirudegarn slanted forward falling on his knees. Rubble flew up by the tons as he landed on the floor completed cracking it. Its gigantic body lost its former dark green colors while its scaly hide started to crack.

Tiencha sighed in relaxation his pump-up dropping. Despite his fused body been able to power up beyond the human limit, it also came with the side effect of cutting down on the fusion time. The higher the multiplier the less time the fusion lasted.

Then all Hell broke loose again. The dried husk of the alien monster started to crack and open. Green light emanated from its insides. A new figure started to escape as If being reborn from the inside out. A few seconds later the dried exterior shattered and the new Hirudegarn roared to the heavens with green arcs of lightnings gleaming through the atmosphere. The monster had gained a new cockroach appearance with long wings and brownish carapace. He roared now with twice his former ki. Tiencha widened his three eyes not knowing what to do now.

Vegeta shot an uppercut that fully dented the rubbery pink skin inwards, the alien blob flying up for miles almost out of the planet. The Ascended fighter dashed at light speeds, intercepting the creature with a planet-buster axe strike right into its chubby midsection. The fat Majin was sent down to the ground, landing like a giant meteor. The planet trembled by the Asteroid-like impact. The Royal alien descended from the heavens above like a blazing comet, anger printed over his face.

Vegeta's eyes widen again when he saw the Majin flipping back to his feet and without any indentations of the strikes he had received in the last half an hour or so. The short-length antenna on top of his head pointed forward, a pink-colored beam heading for the prince. The Super Saiyan Two had to nimbly change courses mid-flight before the unknown beam could touch him. The attack landed on a boulder and then a shower of many-colored candy fell.

"That was a magical beam. Once you get turned into whatever Majin Buu wants, only the same attack will return you back" The East Supreme Kai explained with a grim and dark tone.

"Alright, that sucks" Tarroc stated scratching his temple. Now they were facing magic. At least one better than Babidi's.

"Buu having fun with you" The revived monster stated in his childish-like tone.

"You are just a freak!" The Ascended Super Saiyan growled, his aura igniting with the heat of molten lava. A dark blue sphere of focused ki appeared on Vegeta's glove hand with the concentrated power to blast planets into dust "Photon Bomber!" The focused sphere of energy instantly closed the gap in between and sent shocking quakes through the continental plaques with a blinding shininess covering the epicenter. The blue light dimmed and one could see the hole in the Majin's belly. But without losing its smile the demonic being regenerated what had been lost by the attack.

"What the fuck is he?" The tired Prince asked no one in particular. His hair receded back into its previous length and spikiness. Vegeta had finally receded to the original Super Saiyan transformation; Fatigue had finally caught up with the melodramatic prince.

The monster lifted his left hand, now his own pink sphere there. The prince had no time to react in shock when his same attack was shot right at his face. His body was sent careening back head over heels, now unconscious and out of the Super Saiyan form. Kibito quickly caught the depleted Prince and started to heal him after moving away from the Pink Demon.

"Did he...just..." Tarroc stammered a bit. Maybe the hybrid had hallucinated what he had just witnessed. But he was certain he wasn't having hallucinations.

"Yes, Tarroc. Majin Buu can copy any ability he watches, no matter if physical or Ki" The white Mohawk man responded.

"Okay, he's one serious copycat" The alien-human hybrid joked with some irony considering his own imitating abilities. He looked at the Supreme Kai again before asking "Anything else to be concerned?"

"His regeneration" The East Supreme replied "You will have to destroy every bit of him until the last molecule and then blast him even further. Once the Grand Supreme Kai cut him into hundreds of pieces but he still regenerated without any loss to his energy reserves"

"Not playing with Buu anymore?" The monster asked towards the crowd of fighters. The Supreme Kai shot an energy sphere at the monster. But instead of taking it head on, the creature shaped his belly into a hole. The ball passed through him and landed miles away creating a mushroom cloud in the distance. The hole closed back to its original place.

"Body Mass control" Gohan stated "Crap! That thing has far too many things at his disposal" The hybrid stated angry.

"That's why you must always keep your eyes open against him. The same way he can detach his own body he can reattach it back, along with anyone that's within his range" The pale-skinned Supreme explained.

"Wait, with anyone in range?" The Namekian Piccolo asked "You mean, like absorption?" The Shinjin nodded.

"Indeed. The Majin Buu you are looking at is the result of absorbing both the South and Grand Supreme Kai. Once you are absorbed, there's no way out. You will forever be part of that monster's physiology. All your knowledge, strength and abilities will be added to Buu's own" The white-mohawked man explained.

"So does anyone have any ideas?" Goku asked. While he and Gohan were powerful enough to take the creature, it would be too risky to try a brute force strategy. Especially If the Majin managed to absorb one of them.

"I do. But I'm going to need Majin Buu distracted on something else" The East Supreme stated a bit grimed. While the Earth fighters were amazingly powerful, he didn't want to send anyone to their deaths.

"Leave that to me" The palm-haired warrior responded with confidence in his voice, placing two fingers on his forehead. Goku teleported right in front of the pink monster before anyone could stop him. Not that they would. Goku was easily the first option for a fight.

Behind the Supreme Kai, Vegeta drowsily opened his eyes back to full power and beyond thanks to his Saiyan DNA.

"Now that Vegeta is back to full strength, I need you Piccolo to come with me" The East Supreme stated towards the green Namekian.

"What where?" The green-skinned alien asked in shock by the out-of-the-blue request.

"To the Supreme World" The white-haired being stated back. The Kai's attendant stared with eyes almost out of their sockets.

"Master, Tarroc's attack must have addled your brain!" Kibito blurted out "How can a mere mortal step on hallow ground that only Supreme Kais can go to?!"

"Do not question my authority, Kibito!" The Supreme Kai stated with an imposing tone surprising many of the other Earth fighters. The East Kai didn't look like one to have rage outbursts "The situation is far too grime for those petty thoughts!" The attendant nodded and accepted his master's idea "Now take us both there quickly!" The three teleported thanks to Kibito's Instant Movement.

The Supreme Kai, Kibito and Piccolo reappeared millions of miles away from planet Earth. The former Guardians of two planets looked around at the marvelous planet. It certainly looked like a copy of the green and blue planet, down to the last detail in the landscapes, rivers and forests.

"Piccolo, we must hurry!" The Supreme Kai said towards the Namekian. He shot through the air with his attendant. The Namekian flew after them just as fast.

"Supreme Kai, where are we going?" The green alien asked following the Supreme Being and his attendant.

"To find a powerful weapon called the Z-Sword" The Shinjin responded "It's said to be the strongest weapon in the entire universe" The Namekian raised an eyebrow by that ironic comment.

"If it's so powerful, then why did you choose me to use it?" Piccolo asked Shinjin.

"I decided to take the one with the most potential" The Shinjin explained. His head then turned around and looked directly at Piccolo "And that is you" The Namekian widened his eyes. He appreciated the positive thought but the others had long ago managed to overpower him "I know you have fused with two Guardians of two Planets. And that gives you the potential to become much more powerful than you truly realize" Piccolo thought about that. Could he really get stronger? Maybe if he were to spend another year in the Time Chamber he could close the gap a bit.

The three fighters descended on a tall rock pillar standing in the middle of a clear lake a few seconds later. There was an object protruding right at the top of the stone.

"This is the Z-sword" The East Supreme Kai stated showing the handle of the embedded sword in the rock pillar.

"So I have to use it?" Piccolo asked looking at the weapon with a scrutinizing eye. It didn't look much different from the sword he had materialized for Gohan while the latter trained to fight against the Saiyans.

"No, you have to break it" The Supreme Shinjin stated now earning a stunned look from the Namekian fighter "Because the real power is inside it" Piccolo gazed at the sword like trying to find something hidden. His senses detected something. A low ki signal coming from... the sword? How was that possible was not for Piccolo to question. His life was not exactly normal in the first place.

"No problem" The powerful Namekian stated hunching forward and grabbing the handle of the sword. While at first one would struggle in releasing it, the green alien was way too powerful and simply removed the weapon without too much effort. He then proceeded to raise it above him holding the tip of the blade with his other hand as he also raised his knee. The former Guardian slammed the sword hard against his knee. Piccolo simply dropped the halves and a human-like figure materialized in front of him. The new being had a similar outfit to East Supreme Kai and had a very wrinkled face.

"About time someone freed me!"

"Buu fight you now?" The ancient monster asked with his child-like tone. Goku clutched his hands tight. While he would like to fight the creature, for some bizarre reason he could tell that the one in front of him wasn't the real monster that the universe feared. More like a front page for a bigger story.

Besides, if he had a childish mind then he should just try to make him behave.

"No, Majin Buu not fight anymore" Goku answered, his own tone also determined and imposing.

"Why not?" Buu asked, placing a finger in his chin in deep thought. The Earth-raised alien almost sweat-dropped. That had been too easy for his liking.

"Because...If you fight..." Now the Saiyan didn't know what to say. What could be a good reason? Something then clicked in his brain. What was the thing that every child loved? "I won't give you candy!" Almost everyone fell on their backs anime style.

"Kakarot, what the Hell are you doing?!" The healed Saiyan prince blurted out angry.

"I amazingly agree with Vegeta!" Tarroc yelled now also confused.

"What candy is?" Buu asked curious about the weird word. Goku opened his hand and materialized a dozen small sphere caramels. He threw them at the monster, who caught them and wolfed them down his throat easily. The monster's face lit up like a kid in a candy store. Pun intended.

"Buu want candy!" The Majin said wanting more of the sweat object. The Saiyan smiled and created even more. The pink Majin started devouring with reckless abandon.

"Now, uh, Majin Buu" Goku now wanted to confirm his theory about Fat Buu being only something superficial for the true evil. "Is there evil inside you?" Was the question stupid? Yes. But Majin Buu was stupid too so the common words made it easier for the monster to understand it.

"Yes, Pure Buu inside Good Buu" The Fat Buu replied honestly and without a second thought. The Saiyan from Earth raised an eyebrow by that peculiar answer. Pure Buu. What did that even mean?

"Can you let him out?" Goku asked, a bit hesitant.

"Buu can!" The monster replied happily suddenly inhaling air. His body expanded its chubbiness by the air inhalation, literally looking more balloonish-like. Then the holes in his arms and head started shooting white stream to the outside, making the same noise as a boiling kettle. But the more it boiled, the more the vapor shifted into a more physical thing. The former ethereal gas was now gaining a dark shade of pink amassing in the sky.

"Buu not feeling good" And then the fat Buu passed out by the exertion.

But above the Earth fighters, the floating vapor had turned into a dark pink color. And it was shaping into a solid form. First the legs, dressed like the Fat Buu in white pants. Then a slimmer body than the fat Majin and also with shorter arms. His head finally showed up with a longer antenna and a kid's face plastered at the top of his rubbery body.

It looked like a kid. But the dark eyes staring at the Earth fighters from above looked nothing like a child's. Except for a deranged one.

Notes from Chapter 33:

I skipped all the Buu saga right to the end and without needing to go through all the drama of Super Buu. And Vegito didn't sound really appealing when you consider Goku and Vegeta aren't good friends.

Well look at that. Piccolo is having his powers unlocked. Do you know how that will change things?

Maybe Goku talking Buu into helping sounds weird and not very Goku-like. But this Goku does take things serious and killing someone he thinks is innocent it's not something he does.

The Turtle Beam was named that way because the Kamehameha is known as the Turtle Wave. I just mixed it with the Tri-Beam.

A Metamoran fusion allows the two fuses to power-up beyond the normal limit of their bodies. That, however, comes at the cost of losing time of fusion. Just like Super Saiyans in cannon. Whenever Gotenks transformed into Super Saiyan 3, he didn't suffer any side effect of fatigue and tiredness like Goku did. That came at the price of reducing the fusion time.

And the Old Kai shows up in all of his yelling splendor.

Despite the power difference between Tiencha and Hirudegarn, it is not that big of a gap so a direct attack can cause damage.

Super Saiyan (beaten): 200 billion

Majin Buu: 1 trillion

Kid Buu: 2 trillion

Hirudegarn:

Base form: 400 billion

Evolved: 1 trillion
