Farewell
Green eyes opened leisurely, then closed and repeated the same thing over and over until the bright sun rays could be processed through the pink eyelashes and emerald orbs. The side he was sleeping on suddenly shot hot pain in his spine and a groan was forced out of his sealed lips.
'Damn… It hurts…'
Natsu forced himself to at least sit, and when he did, he realized that he was on a slightly broken bed, with a blanket thrown on him barely covering his whole body. He looked right, then left, then tried to remember what happened and when he did, he froze.
How did he surrender that easily?
In all of his fights, Natsu never gave up. Not deliberately anyway. This time, as he was cradled by the other, who showed him things that he didn't know before, Natsu felt that he didn't want to let go. That he wanted to stay like that forever. And it was Gray's fault. If he didn't do what they did, Natsu would've probably gone without so much pain.
He also remembered…
"I will destroy you… I will destroy you, I WILL KILL YOU!"
And sulked again because…
"U-understand… I… Gah… Understand. Y-You t-too… understand…"
Why did he, again, surrender that easily?
"Oiii, Natsu! Come over here!"
Natsu was fully dressed after he had taken a shower. Gray was no where to be found, so he figured the boy will be in the guild, however, after taking a quick look round… no. Gray wasn't there.
"Good morning, Lucy."
"Hey you. What's wrong? You look so lost."
"E-eh? Nothing, nothing."
"No wait a second… There is something different about you today!"
Levy popped up behind Lucy and nodded. "Yeah! Definitely!"
Then Erza joined. "There is no doubt. He's very different."
"Man! Natsu! If you are a man then admit it!" Elfman decided to share in the analysis team.
"He's so different! Even when I am drunk, I can tell!"
"You think? I agree with Elfman."
"And I agree with Mira-nee."
"G-G-uys?!"
Almost every one of Natsu's friends formed a circle around him, and he couldn't understand what they were talking about at all. Because of that, he panicked. He was very sure that he concealed his limping and back ache even though it took him an awful a lot of time to do it in Gray's home, and he was sure that he… well, didn't smell like Gray too. Even though his nose kind of got used to it, he forced himself to remove all of the ghostly reminders of the bastard off of his skin. So what the hell was the problem with his friends? And why did they look at him with that mischievous gleam in their eyes?
"Natsu you…"
The boy gulped, looking terrified at Lucy and Erza, who were now… smirking.
"You did it with Gray, didn't you?"
'HOW THE HELL…?'
"Your skin is glowing!"
"Waaaah! And he didn't kick the door open today!"
"And he still didn't pick up a fight with anyone!"
"And he-"
"YOU GUYS STOP IT!" Natsu yelled.
"Aww there is no need to be shy or embarrassed!"
"Yaaay! Natsu, who was the top? You or Gray?"
"Wh-What?!"
"I bet it was Natsu!"
"Are you kidding woman? My money is on Gray."
While they continued to bicker about it, Mirajane was already gathering the money for the bet and Natsu stood dumbfounded.
Just where on earth is Gray?
Natsu walked along side with the river, and it was sunset again. When he woke up this morning, he couldn't believe that he slept that much. The last thing he remembers the day before… well, not much, except that he fainted as all the physical activity and flooding emotions overwhelmed him and his body.
Seeing the sunset, however, was a complete different story now. It reminded him of many things. Of ache, desire, pleasure and warmth. All of these things gathered in the orange and red rays. There was no way he was going to see the sunset time again normally. His heart will always produce those strong pumps and his body will feel incredible warmth.
Even though he was forced to have this Sex with Gray, by Gray, the jackass himself, he felt… full like what he was told before. He couldn't describe the feeling, but it was so damn good.
He was staring at the shimmering water for so long that he didn't notice the human standing next to him.
"Dumbass, what are you doing?"
Natsu's heart jumped, and turned around quickly with a burning hot face looking at the object of his thoughts.
"Wh-wha… what are YOU doing here?"
"Follow me, I have something important to tell you."
Natsu didn't know what to do, but he followed Gray anyway. They reached the house and Gray went inside only to notice that Natsu stopped walking.
"What's wrong?" Gray raised an eyebrow.
Natsu shifted in his place and blurted, "I… I am not going in your bedroom again, if that's what you want with me!"
Gray looked indifferent, and sighed. "I am not taking you to the bedroom, relax."
"Yeah right, that's what I heard yesterday before you-"
"Just sit down."
"Fine."
They sat in front of each other and Natsu couldn't help but to be nervous.
Gray rubbed his short hair and shook his head before he talks.
"About yesterday… I uh…" Gray looked at Natsu apologetically. "Sorry. I kind of got angry when you wanted to just break things up and stuff…"
Natsu looked down, ears red and hands sweaty.
"I just felt that I was being played with. When I finally was able to have enough courage to tell you about the matter, I was happy because you accepted me, and I guess I wasn't ready to lose you. Not that soon anyway."
Natsu glared at the black haired boy.
"Usually I regret things that I have no control over, but this time, I don't. I meant every word I said yesterday. You on the other hand are different. I probably caused you pain, and I am sure-"
"I meant what I said to you too. I am not a fool."
Gray stopped and stared at Natsu.
"Stop treating me like I am so naïve, Gray. There are things that I probably… don't understand, but… there is one thing clear to me now. I think I am ready to accept the fact that you are a part of me that I can't just… give up on."
"You do understand what you are saying, right? You will be forced to be with me, no matter how far I cause you pain, or discomfort. You will have to live with me, sleep with me, and do whatever I desire from you. Are you ready for that?"
"That's not the question, Gray. The question is… Do you feel like you can keep up with me? Do you guarantee that you will not leave like all the others?"
Gray's piercing eyes softened and nodded. "Yes. As I said. Death will be the only thing standing in the way."
"Alright. Then I am ready to be with you. I will be there for you. I will protect you with my life, and I will make sure that death is not even close. That's my promise to you."
Gray looked doubtful. "So if I told you to enter this room now and do what I desire, will you listen?"
"Hell no."
Gray laughed.
"Don't laugh. After what happened yesterday, I feel that I can barely look at your face, not to mention walking."
"Right I am so-"
"You are sick."
"No, that's-"
"Just sick and twisted."
"I was trying-"
"Even though you are like that, thank you, Gray. You didn't… give up on me till the end."
Gray smiled and looked forward at the one person who was trying to hide his embarrassment.
"You are welcome, I think. Now for the important things…"
Natsu stared curiously.
"Today I thought a lot about it. It wasn't easy to take this selfish decision alone… but I do hope you accept it as well."
"Wh-What do you mean? What are you talking about?"
Gray sighed, getting two train tickets out of his pocket.
"After hearing you talk bout Igneel yesterday, I realized how much he is important to you. I also thought of a ways to help, but this was the only one." Gray threw the tickets on the table. "I asked Gildarts about a lot of things, and he told me about a place that we could have a great start with sniffing some clues."
Natsu gasped.
"Cocora. It's a small town. It was targeted by Zeref's people a few years ago, and it has an ancient history with strong and violent dragons. Gildarts told me that it was the same place he got attacked several years back then, before the s-class test incident."
Gray paused, then continued when he saw how Natsu's eyes were completely lost. "I want us to start looking there. I want to help you find what you want. If you said yes, we can go there first thing in the morning."
"G-Gray… Why?"
The blue eyed boy shrugged. "My intentions are not fully purified. While we will be looking for your father, I will get the chance to understand you more and… to have you for myself. It will be us, and no one else. No Juvia, no Lucy or Erza, no Gildarts, no morons trying to fill our minds with crap. I think what this relationship currently needs, is some time and understanding."
Natsu couldn't close his mouth. But he could agree with Gray. The day before, when he saw Gray going out with Juvia, he was pained because in a very little corner of his mind, he didn't trust Gray fully. He thought that he could be abandoned and that's why it led to a series of misunderstandings. Their relationship was still naïve and hasn't matured at all since the time they were just little kids. And it looked like it needed to grow and it needed time.
"I KNOW that I don't want to be with you all the time that much, moron. But at the same time, I think you and I still have much to learn about each other. I thought it'll be a great opportunity. So… say something? And stop looking like a gaping fish for fuck's sake…"
Natsu's whole body trembled with joy. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe that Gray has been willing to go that far just for them.
"Wh-What about Happy?" Natsu unconsciously asked.
"It's your fucking problem. If you want him with us, then obviously, I can say nothing." Gray was irritated.
Natsu chuckled and rubbed his own forehead. "I am really surprised. I feel like I can't think about anything at all."
"It's easy. Yes or no. choose one."
Natsu took a minute, and it slightly made the other party nervous. Gray couldn't deny the fact that he was rushing things with Natsu, but he couldn't help himself. Yesterday, when Natsu was between his arms, under his complete mercy, he was sure that he didn't want it to end. His brain gets clouded with desire every time he pictures it, and now that Natsu is his, he didn't see a barrier forbidding him from acting like he pleases.
Natsu stood up, walking forward until he was just in front of Gray who looked up, caging his uncertainty and fear because of the possible rejection of his ultimate proposal.
The pink haired boy suddenly kneeled down, one hand on his own chest, where his heart is and grinned. "I will go with you, my prince."
Gray gave a face for a while, then was drowned in hysterical laughter, not actually knowing whether to cry or laugh because Natsu has just accepted his proposal. Natsu shrugged, but stayed kneeling until Gray stood and took his hand to support him to stand.
"So should I call you a damn fire princess?"
"Hey asshole. Does a princess kneel before a prince? You are so twisted."
"Hmm, then what are you?" Gray brushed some of the peachy pink hair and smirked at Natsu's nervousness.
"Does it really matter?"
"Well, how about a servant?"
"Shut up, Gray."
"A personal guard?"
"That's the same as servant!"
"Hmm, I will find it for you soon, don't worry."
Natsu sighed. "I am sure."
"So you are coming with me?"
The pink haired inclined upwards just to give Gray's lips a mere brush of his own, then smiled and nodded.
"I will go with you."
Natsu changed into more comfortable clothes for sleeping, and stood, his body tense while looking at the bed. Gray gave him an irritated look, then pushed him down on it.
"Gray!"
"Don't Gray me! You looked like you were thinking whether to enter a monster's cave or not! That hurts my feelings you know!"
"Shut up! O-Of course I will think like that! And I don't give a damn about your feelings!"
Gray muffled Natsu's face with a pillow, trying to choke him.
"MMMPHH!"
"If you are so irritated, go sleep outside I don't care."
"Waah!" Natsu breathed after he lifted the pillow off. "GREAT! See you!"
"NOT SO FAST!" Gray dragged him back on the bed. "You are unbelievable."
"AND YOU ARE SO PUSHY!" Natsu's face turned red when Gray wrapped his arm firmly around his waist.
"Good night to you, Natsu."
"I will burn you if you tried anything!"
"Anything? Like what?" Gray asked innocently, his hot breath colliding against Natsu's ear.
"Th-that! Stop it! Stop it!" Natsu's fire almost burned Gray's arm if the black haired wasn't fast enough to protect it with his ice.
"Fine, geez. I will let you go for now. Making you less uptight is one thing we will have to work on."
"I am not uptight! You are so loose! I hate that!" Natsu shot back.
"Natsu." Gray warned. "I can have my way with you even if you tried to fight back, but I won't do that today, so shut up and sleep."
Natsu's back settled against Gray. He still felt tense and couldn't help it because Gray was… unpredictable.
"Gray, what are we going to say to everyone in the guild?"
Gray groaned. "Don't remind me with that. Why are you reminding me with that? Did I say I want to be reminded with that?"
Natsu turned around to face the other. "You were thinking about it too, huh?"
"No shit, I have no brains like you."
Natsu almost punched him.
"I don't know." Gray sighed. "One thing I know… this will not be a goodbye. We don't know how much time we will be gone, but we will always return to our guild. So… either we don't tell them anything, or I don't know, really."
"Gray. I am taking Happy with me."
The black haired glared. "I won't hesitate embarrassing you in front of the cat. So think wisely."
"Seriously, I am taking him with me." Natsu looked determined.
"Fine. It's your call."
"Th-thanks."
Gray shook his head and closed his eyes. "We have a big day tomorrow. You better sleep now."
Lucy and the others were shocked by Natsu and Gray the next day. Both of the teens stood in front of them with their not so heavy luggage and with Happy standing miserably in front of Charle.
"Natsu, Gray. You guys sure you wanna do that? We… we could do it together! Like how we always do and-"
"Lucy." Natsu interrupted with a gentle look, then opened his arms. "Come here."
The blonde sniffled at that with some tears rolling on her red cheeks as she hurried and hugged the feisty dragon slayer. He patted her hair and smiled when she squeezed him tighter. Lucy was a dear. Maybe he'll regret his decision in the future just because he'll miss her so much.
"Gray-Sama… Is there nothing that will make you ch-change your mind?" Juvia's eyes had a small ray of hope and Gray was very sad to demolish it.
"No, I am pretty sure I had that matter settled. Take care of yourself, and sorry for all the trouble I have caused."
Juvia had a small tear lingering in the corner of her eyes.
Erza stepped in with a very blank face which could not be read. She walked forward until she was directly in front of the ice-mage.
"Gray. Why are you so persistent about this?" She asked.
"For Natsu. I want to do this for Natsu, and not even your fists or swords will stand in the way." Although Gray was taken back by Erza's question and empty look, he was determined that she will not deter his will.
"Gray, you'll be always like that. The only nail that needs hammering with my very special hammer."
Gray shrugged. "Sorry for that. But Erza, next time we meet, Neither I, nor Natsu will lose to you in a fight. Remember that."
She smiled. "Then it's worth it. I will be waiting for that eagerly." She extended her hand, and Gray shook it.
"Thanks."
"Come on! Hurry up they are leaving!"
Both of the partners turned around to find Loke and the six other guys behind.
"Dammit, I don't look so sexy in the morning." Hibiki groaned. Ren and Eve just nodded and walked behind.
"Yeah, a real problem indeed." Jellal rolled his eyes.
"Got a problem, mister I-am-so-awesome-so-don't-even-talk-to-me criminal?"
Jellal narrowed his eyes and decided not to lend an ear to the fuming golden boy.
"Why is it so early?" Lyon yawned and the magazine editor Sally laughed nervously at the negative aura that all of the guys possessed.
Natsu's jaw was dropped and Gray stood speechless.
"Wh… what are you guys doing here?" Natsu asked, talking to Loke and Sally who were the only ones looking sane enough.
"You were so cruel thinking that you could just take off like that without letting any of us know a thing." Hibiki grumbled. "After all what we have done to you two!"
"Ice-make. Lance!"
"Oh great lord-Gray!"
"Come here, gold ass! I will eradicate you!"
"C-C-Calm down!"
"Ice-make-"
Jellal and the others sweat dropped as both mages fought each other. Actually, Gray fighting and Hibiki is trying to block all the deadly attacks.
"Youth…" Loke mused.
"Let the idiots fight, it's not our problem." Lyon yawned again.
"It is partially." Jellal commented, "Anyways, Natsu. We came here today to wish you both luck. After what you have been through, I am sure you both will be able to handle anything that stands in your way without the need of our assistance anymore."
Natsu nodded with a small sad smile breaking through his face. "I appreciate what you guys did for me. Gray might disagree, but I am happy I was able to understand many things with you, I was really lost."
"You are most welcome."
"Hey Natsu." Sally said, and all the guys' eyes were on them, mainly because Natsu and Sally are about the same age, and that they both were more understanding than any of the others. "You are going to go, huh?"
Natsu nodded. "Yeah. It was a lot of fun working with you. And I am looking forward to next year."
"S-So, you are going to come back?" Sally was shocked. "After all what Gildarts did?"
"Yes. It's the reason things… happened. And I am happy so…"
"Waah Natsu!" Sally hugged the pink haired boy tightly and almost cried. "I will miss you."
"Oh please! Stop the drama!" Loke rolled his eyes.
"Mind your own business Leo!" Sally said through tears.
"You brat! Stop calling me like that! And stop talking to me like that! You are so rude!"
"Don't start you two." Eve tried to calm things and sweat dropped when they both averted their gaze from each other.
"Thank Hibiki for me." Natsu requested.
"Will do." Jellal nodded.
"Hey Natsu." Lyon yawned again. "If my brother becomes too much, just get rid of him. The bastard doesn't deserve anything good anyway."
Natsu wasn't sure how to reply to that.
"Just uh… Make sure he returns with you alive." Lyon asked, "I still kinda want him in one piece."
Natsu's face fell. "I… I am sorry."
"Nah, it's okay. I am sure he was the one who suggested the crazy idea. Am I wrong?"
"N-No. But I agreed so."
"Hey boy, don't be like that. I understand completely that you two are not babies and that you can take care of yourselves."
Natsu nodded. "I will protect him with my life, definitely. You got nothing to worry about. "
"I am sure. Ok guys, group hug and no shitty tears." Lyon opened his arms and waited then growled. "Stop it Gray. We want to have a touching moment HERE."
"Not before I kill the asshole!" Hibiki cried and hid behind Jellal. "P-P-Please! Someone help! We will kill each other and I don't want to die. It's okay if he died, I am more sexier so-"
"SHUT UP!" Gray hollered and prepared himself for the attack which was stopped by Lyon's elbow in Gray's jaw.
"I said, we are going to have a moment." Lyon glared.
"WHATEVER. Just make sure his skin doesn't touch mine or Natsu's!" Gray fumed.
Lyon made sure that Gray's wish is granted, then all of the boys hugged, with Natsu squeezed in the middle making Gray extra irritated.
"Natsuuu, don't let him eat you alive." Hibiki whined.
"I SWEAR I WILL KILL HIM!" Gray shouted and they managed to hold him off.
Finally, both of the boys waved to all the girls and boys at the guild and dragged Happy who was in tears and struggling to fly back to Charle who blushed mumbling something about Happy being a stupid Cat with just a small tear in the corner of her eyes.
"Wait for me Charle! I will definitely come back!"
Lucy was wiping the stream of tears while Erza tried to calm her down.
When Natsu's loud voice couldn't be heard, and When Gray's naked body couldn't be seen anymore, all the people in the guild sighed heavily and realized that they were finally gone.
Lucy sat on one of the guild tables with all of the members and others around her, sharing the same feeling.
She smiled through tears afterwards. No matter how she tried to blame herself for making these two enter the competition of the magazine, she couldn't. Because the outcome was truly magnificent, and just leave it to Gray and Natsu to be so stubborn when it comes down to their decisions in life.
When she saw both of them leave, she also saw a trail of uncertainty and tension between both of her teammates. Lucy just hoped that Natsu's wish of leaving with Gray will reward him with a decent result of strengthening this relationship and the trust between both through their ultimate mission.
"Are you alright, Lu-chan?" Levy was worried even though she was as sad as the others.
"Yeah. It's not like the idiots will never come back."
"I say let's make a party!" Mirajane smiled.
Lucy sweat dropped. "W-why?"
"Because of the new fresh start between our dearest idiot magicians! Let's wish them good luck!"
The guys laughed while the girls tried to shake off the gloomy atmosphere. Lucy smiled too. Leave it to Fairy Tail to turn the most saddest events into a party. Tears were completely dried and Lucy smiled to herself thinking that she will survive as long as she was in Fairy Tail, her true home and Family.
O.o.O Six months Later O.o.O
Mirajane was cleaning the bar's counter after the lunch hassle earlier. Now the girls sat together at one table chatting with each other, and Mirajane occasionally smiled when she heard them talk energetically after a mission they had just came from.
Things weren't so easy and smooth since the last six months. It wasn't so lively anymore as two of the most vital members has stormed to their ultimate mission or like Hibiki Lates liked to call it "A Damn Long Honeymoon". Blue Pegasus wasn't that close from Fairy Tail before the last six months or at least, not to the point of visiting every weekend. Yes, they were allies, but not to the point they were so attached to the Fairy guild nowadays.
It was another thing accomplished with both of the magicians absence. Hibiki Lates and his team along with Ichiya, swore that they won't let the ladies get hurt or gloomy or sad, and that's why they acted as their favorite clowns every weekend.
Rounds of drinks, rounds of dancing, and just chatting their hearts out. A very simple thing, yet with a very powerful positive psychological impact on the girls' hearts. Fairy Tail's guys didn't like it so much since the morons were just coming in and out without a slight formality, but they got used to them anyway.
Occasionally, Sally dropped by and greeted the members, asked if there were any new news, and made the guild members swear that if there was something about Natsu or Gray, he will be the first one to know. And yeah, Loke still hasn't changed the way he reacts to the ice-blue eyed boy. They still fought with passion, and Fairy Tail kind of used to it.
Gildarts didn't stay long after what happened. He gave Sally all the authorities in the building, making him the new general manager (Just because he had this vision of Sally being an awesome young manager when really he didn't give a shit about the place). After that, Gildarts went on a mission, and only god knows when the womanizer plans to come back.
Gajeel was dying out of boredom. He didn't get the chance to say goodbye to the fools back then because he was on a mission. He was truly surprised when he came back to listen to what happened from Levy who was sniffling through all the story. He vowed, that when Natsu Dragneel comes back, the first thing he'll do, is to kick his ass as the pink haired boy was responsible for all the free wasted time the black haired Dragon Slayer currently has even though he tried to go on missions with Juvia a lot more that ever to keep himself occupied.
Mirajane smiled again as Lucy and Erza told the girls about their last mission, however, she could hear some noises and weird commotion outside the guild. She shrugged. As she was trying to return the glassware she was holding to one of the bar's shelves, her gaze met the entrance of the guild, and the glass plate she was holding fell unconsciously from her hands.
"Erza took care of him! And great lord-Mira?" Lucy and the others looked at Mirajane who stood absolutely petrified and they slowly followed her gaze, only to end up in the same state.
Their breaths were caught in their throats and their eyes was so focused that they alarmed other members who stared as well.
At the entrance, two guys stood and one blue cat. There were some evident changes, nevertheless, their appearance made a huge stunning effect on the people in the guild and outside the guild as Magnolia's population was gathered whispering and talking loudly about the grand event.
"Ah, curse trains. Never liked them, never will."
"Shur'tugal, What options did we have? And don't tell me riding your stupid cat."
"Give me some of your sympathy please. I am kinda trying to breathe here."
"Alright. Sorry for taking the train."
"Yeah, too late."
"My intentions were truly pure. It's not like I was the one having a fire burning down my ass while needing to be here as fast as possible you know."
"Alright I get it. Sorry for complaining."
"Anytime."
"I would like to have a drink though…"
"Yeah, that will be awesome."
Both of the magicians walked towards the bar where Mirajane stood trembling with some tears gathered in the corner of her eyes.
"What do you think, Mira? Could you give these two poor guys a drink?" The pink haired grinned.
"I…"
"Huh?"
"I… I…"
"Can't hear you woman."
"Welcome… back…" She broke down in tears and jumped over the bar to hug both of the mages who smiled to each other, being so familiar with Mirajane's comforting scent.
After that the members of Fairy Tail literally squeezed both of the guys in their greetings with some tears of joy, it took them about an hour to calm things down.
Natsu Dragneel and Gray Fullbuster has returned to the Fairy Tail guild.
There were a lot of things different about both mages. However the more visible ones were their personal traits.
Natsu Dragneel was dressed in a sky blue Jeans, and red checkered shirt that was tucked properly inside his pants with his scarf around the neck. The boy became thinner than before which gave him some imaginary height, his skin also gained some extra tan glow. His face had a softer look, while his hair stuck out sharper than usual. His right side ear had a magnificent piece of jewelry. It was a breathtaking gold earring that captured most of the girls' attention.
Gray Fullbuster, however, was the opposite. He was dressed in a dark Jeans, and a closed black sweater. The boy became slightly bulkier than before which also gave him an imaginary extra height and there were these sunglasses on his eyes that he never took off. Actually, it was weird. He never took off any of his clothes since he entered the guild.
Gajeel fought with Natsu for a while (After frustrating the fire mage), while Gray boldly stood with the other girls who poured him with some questions which he couldn't answer because of the apple he was devouring.
"Gajeel vai toux! Skav 'k I tae'b!" Natsu pushed Gajeel off of him and tried to block the metal Dragon slayer's attacks without harming him.
"What on earth…?" Gajeel stood dumbfounded.
"Wlaek?! vlv aeuo vai raax'rs aek do r'xo klaek?!" Natsu raised an eyebrow at Gajeel.
"Yeah, girls it's awesome alright. Give me a second please." Gray threw the rest of the apple and walked forward to wrap an arm around Natsu's shoulder. "Shur'tugal, I know you are so frustrated, but believe me, he can't understand a word of what you are saying."
"Sl'k! I laeqo baro 'k aesae'r!" Natsu panicked.
"Yes. Just focus alright?" Natsu's sweat was evident as the boy tried to regain his composure.
Gajeel grunted. "You ruined what's left of his mind?" He accused Gray who couldn't be read from under those sunglasses.
"Shas'c!" Natsu roared angrily.
"What is the deal man?" Gajeel replied, "Can't understand-"
"He just called you a jerk." Gray translated.
"Come on, Natsu. Focus, Shur'tugal. Focus." Before Gajeel could open his mouth, a hidden death glare from Gray was enough to make him seal his lips.
"A… Alright... H-How… do I sound… now?" Natsu hardly pronounced.
"Pretty damn normal. See?" Natsu sighed and leaned more into Gray's arm.
"Th-Thanks."
"Why don't you go with the girls? Lucy wants to ask you tons of questions."
"Ok!" Natsu smiled and went towards the girls.
Gajeel got frustrated and thought of annoying the Dragon Slayer more by following.
"A word of caution." Gray's cold voice froze the long haired Dragon Slayer. "Do not irritate him or you might find yourself not in this world or any other."
"Eh?" Gajeel was confused, but his guts told him that there was something so bad about this.
"Natsuuu! That's a very beautiful earring! Where did you get it?!" Lucy asked excitedly as all the members nodded agreeing with her.
"Oh, this?" Natsu looked at the long piece of elegantly craved gold he was wearing on his right ear. True, it was stunning. The glow of it was enough to draw too much attention, not to mention how it amazingly matched Natsu's face's frame. "Gray gave it to me as a gift."
Whistles and laughs echoed in the guild.
"What did he do?! A deal with the devil?! That thing costs a fortune!" Macao interjected.
Natsu's lips broke into a wider smile. "No. I mean… He did it. He produced it. He didn't buy it from anywhere because he wanted it to be unique."
Lucy and the girls were shocked. "H-How long did… it take him to do it?"
"Dunno. He never told me." The pink haired shrugged as he took from amazed Mirajane his drink. He smiled once he looked at Gray who was talking with excited Loke and some other guys.
"Natsu, you have lost some serious weight! What happened?!" Lisanna asked amazed, "Did Gray steal your food or what?! He looks in a better shape than you are!"
Natsu's surprisingly soft laugh attracted some attention and he shook his head. "Aww you know. With all the training, exercises and… Gray. The bastard work my body to death."
Lisanna raised an eye-brow. "Hmm? What do you mean?"
Cana smirked. "Girl. He is talking about sex."
Lisanna and the naïve girls and guys blushed madly. "WH-WHAT?!"
"That's my girl. True, Gray is just a monster, you know. You can see that he took from my masculinity and added it to his, that bastard. I am not proud. Not at all."
"HOW CAN YO SAY THAT WITH NO SHAME?!" Lucy's face had a full blown blush and several members snickered.
"You know Lucy. At some point you have to get over how beautiful and stunningly sexy you are and get yourself a goddamn boyfriend. It might make you lose all that extra weight." Natsu sipped from his drink and the blonde girl fumed.
"WH-WHAT?!"
"You heard me." Natsu smirked as he saw how the blonde jumped on him trying to choke him with her arm, causing the others to laugh and to be surprised from how Natsu's language became.
"Shur'tugal." Gray called the pink haired boy who immediately stood leaving the others and going to talk to Gray.
"Gray…"
"I am going with Loke and the guys for a while, do you-"
"Gray! vai xrav I kaer'k aerrav klaek. Yai aeuo rak tivvatob ka-"
"Hey, hey, hey." Gray held the other's face and kissed his lips with tenderness, grabbing too much attention. "I will be fine, alright?"
"Hav kaer vai do ta t'iuo?"
"That's not important. Right now I wanna have fun. And… Natsu, you are doing it again."
Natsu blinked, then realized that he was doing it.
The people of the Fairy Tail guild began to get confused more and more. Natsu and Gray obviously shared together a mysterious language that they couldn't comprehend and it was very weird. More importantly, they were… very open to their feelings in public and that's something new considering how Natsu had used to run away from Gray before the last six months.
The pink haired sighed and hugged Gray tightly, kissing the black hair. "Taexo kae'uo."
"Ok." Gray pulled back, kissing Natsu briefly one more time before he goes with Loke.
"Wait a minute there, Gray." A certain red haired, Erza Scarlet said.
"Yes?" Gray replied looking back from under his sunglasses.
"Let's have a challenge. I want to see how much you have improved in the last six months."
A lot of people were surrounding the small battle field (street) with the members watching as Erza stood with a long deathly sword in her hand and on the other side, Gray stood with his hands casually in his pockets. His face was blank as a white paper, empty of emotions.
Natsu stood next to Lucy, a very concerned look was in his eyes. His shoulders slightly trembled and his behavior was worrying Lucy.
"Natsu, what's wrong?" She asked.
"Tl't 't ae daeb 'boae..."
"What? Natsu… I-"
"Tl't 't ae qouv daeb 'boae... Lucy! Skav klo'd!"
"I… can't understand!"
Natsu looked like he was panicking and gasped when people cheered as the fight seemed to take place.
Erza moved forward, her agile body sprinting towards Gray who didn't bother moving an inch.
"You are mine!" Erza jumped in the air, slashing downwards and people stopped their cheering. Erza got up, her eyes widened and a drop of sweat fell onto he pavement as she realized that her target wasn't there.
"Erza… Where are you aiming that sword?" She turned around, seeing Gray's hands still in his pockets. "Hoo. Let's try this one more time."
No matter how she tried to get the black haired ice-mage, she couldn't. It's like Gray was the air itself, moving freely as he pleased, and it was beginning to tick Erza off.
Suddenly, when the crimson haired feisty Titania was launching another useless attack at Gray, Natsu Jumped in between them and raised his arms, defending the ice-mage with a sharp glare on his face.
"ERZA! STOP IT NOW! STOP THIS NOW!"
The crowd groaned. "What?! Let them fight!"
"Yeah! Erza was this close from victory!"
"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!"
The crowd cheered and wanted Natsu out because watching Erza's fight was more important.
"STOP IT NOW!" Natsu's roar of anger scared off any of the cowards standing and cheering, causing the huge gathering to be dismissed and Erza to be shocked because of how her body stopped functioning for minutes when Natsu roared like that. When Natsu was sure that both sides were not fighting anymore, he ran towards Gray and slapped him across the face.
"You bastard! What are you trying to accomplish, huh?!"
"I said I am fine! Dammit!" Gray said it with some irritated and shocked tone that Natsu had done that to him.
Natsu panted then gradually calmed down, while the hand that came in contact with Gray's cheek slightly trembled. "G-Gray… tau'uv…"
"Whatever."
"Guaev vai vouo sa'rs ka b'o, Gray! I bar'k vaerk ka rato vai! Gray-" Natsu looked like he was loosing it, and that's why Gray quickly hugged the shaking figure, and patted his back, trying to calm the other down.
"Hey, hey! Natsu you are doing it again! Stop it, I am fine. Shur'tugal, tkav 'k."
Natsu's buried himself in Gray's chest and didn't speak again.
Most of the members were very confused, not understanding what on earth was happening at all.
"Hmm. That's impressive. How were you able to continue living the last two months?"
Porlyusica, Fairy Tail's medicinal advisor, was astounded. On the infirmary bed, Gray Fullbuster was sitting with only his jeans on. His sunglasses and sweater were in Natsu Dragneel's arms. The pink haired stood a couple meters away with a possessive hold on Gray's items and Lucy was shocked along with Erza. Fairy Tail team was forced to go to the doctor when Natsu insisted, and just now they realized why.
Gray's eyes were opened, nonetheless, they were void of any light. Whenever the doctor moved her hands, they didn't follow which could only mean that his eyes were not active. His abdomen had a very deep and ugly wound that looked pretty severe with some of the fresh blood trickling through the inefficient way of stitching and bandaging. It was the only explanation why Gray didn't take off his clothes the minute he entered the guild or even his sunglasses.
"Porlyusica-san! His eyes… is he… is he-" Natsu asked partially not wanting the old woman to answer his question.
The doctor sighed. "It's really weird. However, I am sure it's temporary. He will have his eyes again if he followed my orders. And that wound… it will take you both at least a week before you can even think of going anywhere soon."
Natsu sighed. "Thank god!"
"So wait… he was going to fight me? While Being blind?" Erza was still comprehending the information.
Lucy's jaw dropped. "… That's crazy!"
Natsu looked at Gray with so much guilt lingering in his eyes and Lucy seemed to notice. "Natsu… what on earth has happened?"
Natsu shook his head, not wanting to talk about it.
The doctor took her sweet time cleaning and closing the wound with an evil smirk on her face whenever Gray released a heavy groan of pain, enjoying herself very much as she hated dealing with humans.
"This time you came to me with a real problem. I am glad." She kind of grunted.
"Fuck… Old h-h… Ha-g…." His body shook and quivered upwards while sweat came running strongly.
Natsu was outside the small partition, hearing the agonized voices of his lover, with Lucy's hand on his back trying to comfort him. He hugged the items closer to his chest and held back a sniffle.
"I am sure he will be fine." Erza assured Natsu who nodded weakly.
He was sitting on the bed with a small black garment of cashmere on his shoulders that the old hag offered after conducting a very traumatizing experience for him. He suddenly felt a void when he realized that his eyes were opened, but still, he couldn't see nothing. A very warm gentle hand held his, and a smile found its way to his lips despite of the exhaustion and pain that burned through his bones.
"… Come here." He buried his face in Natsu's familiar warm chest and wrapped his strong arms around the other's waist, getting the boy between his legs.
"I am sorry… I am.. very sorry."
Gray groaned. "Don't start-"
"-If I was there! I swear, if I was there, nothing-"
"Natsu-"
"No! No! This is all wrong! I promised you, Gray! I promised you that I will protect you-"
"-Natsu, It wasn't-"
"-And what did I do?! What the fuck did I do?!" Natsu hugged Gray tighter to his chest. Gray could hear Natsu's heart and could feel how his body heat rose up and how he shivered, indicating that Natsu was so on the verge of tears.
He smiled. Very satisfied that he was injured so that he can see Natsu so helpless because of him. However, there has been just a small tiny part that sympathized with Natsu's condition.
"Shur'tugal, calm down. This is nothing, you know. You have to worry about yourself more. Your condition is getting out of hand, and you have to do something about it."
Natsu shook his head. "I don't care! Before you have your eyes back I will not improve!"
Gray sighed.
"You have to come back Gray… You just have to." Natsu's soft warm fingers were on Gray's bare shoulders, quivering, and Gray took them, intertwining them with his.
"Come closer, I missed you." Gray pushed Natsu's waist further towards him. "The only disadvantage of being blind, is that I can't see you." Natsu's cheeks turned cherry despite of how his eyes stung with sadness. "Can't see you. Can't see your hair…" Gray's hand patted the pink hair, "Can't see your breathtaking eyes…" Gray's finger's moved further down, "Can't see your nose…" His finger playfully tapped on the tip of Natsu's nose, "Can't see your… lips…" And his fingers lingered there… on the lips.
"Gray-" Natsu tried to sound stern.
"-They are… so hot. So sexy… and you know what do they want?"
"…" Natsu breathed, his lips couldn't resist the urge of kissing the fingers that enticed them fully.
"They want me…" Gray chuckled and leaned forward taking the pink haired's hot lips between his. Damn, how he loved those lips. They were easy to toy with and to seduce. They were delicious, warm, and just so fucking hot.
Natsu's breath was cut short when Gray didn't give him a break as he licked his lower lip, earning a small moan as a reward. His tongue entered Natsu's moist cavern smoothly, trying to get as much response from the other as he could when his hands moved to undo the pink haired's shirt's buttons, travelling up on the blistering skin.
"G-Gray… not… here…" Natsu didn't want to break away. He didn't want to, but the place wasn't appropriate and Lucy, Erza or the advisor might just walk in on them.
Gray kissed Natsu's chin, then lowered down to his neck, kissing and sucking Natsu's well memorized sweet spots. He didn't need to have his sight to know them at all. His lover's body was the only thing he felt comfortable and familiar with in his bleak world.
"Ahg! G-Gray…" He bit down Natsu's half exposed shoulder and went down, taking one of the pink, already hard nipples in his mouth and sucked, knowing exactly how to turn Natsu on. Not being able to hold this much pleasure inside, Natsu sighed with a tear forming in the corner of his eyes. He climbed the bed on top of the black haired seducing ice-mage and both ended laying on the mattress, kissing each other with so much passion and deeply buried desire and lust.
"You fools… where… WHERE DO YOU THINK YOURSELVES ARE?!"
Natsu couldn't help but to quickly close his opened shirt and pull away, as the doctor glared at both of them.
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! ... AND NO PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES FOR TWO WEEKS!" Natsu and Gray groaned.
"Are you fucking kidding with me?!" Gray growled and as a result, the woman's broom came flying, knocking him down when it collided with his forehead.
Natsu slumped walking next to his irritated partner and sighed. Lucy laughed nervously while walking next to Erza. It appeared the Natsu and Gray wasn't liking this 'Physical' break already. One thing Lucy knew for sure… She didn't want to walk in on them again. It was, interesting, yes, and seeing Natsu put on that… that expression was surprising, and good job Gray. He finally managed to tame the Dragon Slayer pretty nicely. That if not made him more lewd and unpredictable.
She cried, wanting to get the sexy image out of her head. "S-S-S-SO! N-NATSU!"
"Hmm?" The boy replied, a little bit surprised by the loud voice.
"Wh-what-What does Shur'tugal mean?" Natsu's cheeks burned red.
"Wh-why are you asking so suddenly?!"
"I got curious hearing Gray call you that over and over. I figured that it was kind of a name?"
Natsu was flustered while Gray laughed a bit. "You girls can't give it a rest, can you?"
Erza shrugged as she guided Gray's body away from a tree. "We are curious about the… 'language' you two are speaking with since you came here. It's sounds pretty strange. Not like anything I have heard before. Not even magic."
Natsu nodded. "It's a pretty long story, but in short, it's a Dragon language."
"A Dragon language?" Lucy didn't understand.
"When we reached Cocora, we found out that if we wanted to unwrap what happened several years ago when Igneel and the other Dragons vanished, we would have to learn a certain language. Actually that was after around two months of our departure. If Levy had been with us, we could have figured that in about two days." Natsu sweat dropped, "At times like these, I feel really stupid."
"Aww don't be hard on yourself. There were distractions and all." Gray smirked, knowing that Natsu had a huge red dye on his cheeks.
"Yes. There was this guy who couldn't keep it in his pants." Natsu scowled and Lucy resisted to tease the fire mage more.
"Whatever. You loved every moment of it."
"Sh-shut up!"
Erza averted Gray from a tree again.
"Anyways. Later, we knew that the language itself was a curse. It can erase it's speaker's identity and control his soul forever if the speaker wasn't capable of controlling it first." Gray sighed feeling some pain in his guts, "We don't master it fully, that's why we try to practice speaking more often, however… Natsu can't control it. It is slowly taking over his damn life, and that scares the crap out of me."
The girls looked at Natsu who had a sort of a disappointed face. "I don't know what I did wrong… Suddenly I just feel that I can't understand anyone. And I don't know when I speak of it… it just… comes out. Gray suffered in the beginning too, but now, not so much."
Lucy nodded. "Maybe Levy can help you. Why don't you go ask her?"
"That's the plan." Natsu sighed, "We decided that it was best if we retreated to patch up this guy, and to see if anyone can do something about… well, the language."
Lucy tried to cheer the pink haired up. "Don't worry. If it's you Natsu, then you can definitely control it."
"Thanks, Lucy."
"You still didn't answer my question, Natsu." Lucy smiled.
"Huh?"
"Shur'tugal, what does it mean?"
"Ah-that's… THAT'S-"
"Precious Jewel. A very beautiful red one." Gray translated while Natsu's face just turned redder.
The girls giggled and Gray chuckled.
"Stupid name…" Natsu mumbled.
"No way! It's so beautiful, Natsu." Lucy giggled, "Just didn't imagine Gray will call you that one day!"
"No kidding." Erza agreed.
"Shut up you guys!" Natsu kicked Gray's leg. "Did you have to tell them?!"
"Yeah, your face is so worth it."
"You can't even see!" Natsu argued.
"Details." Gray smirked and walked forward with the girls.
The girls said their goodbyes when the boys reached Gray's home. Natsu took the keys from Gray and entered with the black haired who sighed loudly.
"Home sweet home."
Natsu smiled and entered, closing the door behind. "God, it's good to be back." Gray threw his tired body on the sofa and Natsu rubbed his own arm nervously.
"Can I get you anything?"
Gray adjusted himself on the sofa and chuckled. "Do me a favor, and get yourself over here."
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because you will make me do things. Things that I want to do so badly, but can't because Porlyusica-San said you need to rest."
"So you are saying you missed me already?"
"Yes, a lot." Natsu breathed.
"I missed you too. Screw her, I don't care."
"I care." Natsu laughed while organizing their bags inside the house.
"Natsu, you are seriously going to hold yourself for two weeks?"
Natsu snorted. "Yeah. It's not hard, is it?"
Gray couldn't give him a look, but somehow his face was expressive. "Two weeks Natsu. Two weeks." He stood up and followed his favorite scent, and wrapped his arms around Natsu's waist, the boy who struggled. "Let me go, or else."
"Two weeks. No touch. No nothing?"
"Gray!" Natsu almost whimpered at the breath colliding against his ear.
"I will miss your beautiful… Charming praying voice at night."
"WHAT?! I Don't pray!"
"Oh really? What else would you consider the desperate 'Oh god! Dear god!' for?"
"B-Bastard!" Natsu elbowed Gray slightly, careful not to reopen his wound. "That's enough, let go…"
"Yeah right… I remembered. You were praying for me, weren't you?"
Natsu shoved the other away. "That's enough. I am so serious. Gray, two weeks. You keep away from me."
"Man, I hate this." Gray slumped on the couch.
"Next time, don't get injured or hurt. You hurt yourself, you hurt the one you care about."
Gray laughed quietly, then went slowly to walk where he remembered as a place for a window. His hands opened the curtains of the living room and Natsu stood behind him, watching silently.
"Shur'tugal, come over here."
Natsu walked hesitantly to where his partner stood and cleared his throat. "Yes?"
"Tell me… what do you see?"
Natsu's face fell. Eyes stung with redness. "Uhm… don't know. What exactly do you mean?"
"Atmosphere Natsu. Describe the atmosphere for me."
Natsu held Gray's hand and squeezed softly, "Well… Uhm. There… There are some kids outside playing ball in front of the… restaurant… and the owner is trying to get them to go away… Other than it's quite a very peaceful sunset." The pink haired voice cracked up and muffled his uneven breaths.
"Sunset…"
"Yes."
"Sunset… Is it beautiful?"
"Yes. Yes it is."
Gray's serene face looked at Natsu's direction and for a minute, Natsu thought that Gray was seriously looking at him. "Beautiful sunset, Don't you think it's a waste if we missed it today?"
Natsu snorted and some tears rolled down while there was a mixture of anger and happiness swirling in his stomach. "What you are doing is not going to work. I know it when you are trying to set up a mood, you bastard."
"Maaan." Gray whined.
"And stop toying with my feelings."
"Like I care! Natsu this is ridiculous!"
"Shut up. I can't believe you." Natsu left Gray's hand only to be yanked backwards, the other's lips covering his own.
It was a helpless/hopeless case. Natsu knew that Gray Fullbuster was going to take a month to recover, but seriously… the bastard deserves it. All what mattered to Natsu, is that Gray was going to survive. The pink haired boy couldn't imagine his life without him anymore. They fought at times, and enjoyed each other's company at others. They have established the greatest bond Natsu could ever imagine he will ever have with anyone, and as for Gray's sight… Natsu will wait. As long as it takes. Because they have got all the time they needed and nothing will ever change that.
"So you will pray for me tonight?"
"Shut up you miserable pervert."
