AN: First of Id like to say THANK YOU to everyone who reviewed the last chapter. I appreciate each and every one of you. I have been so busy lately, I only get one day to myself now and I usually reserve that day for running all my errands. So those reviews really helped motivate/guilt me into dedicating more time to writing. It was very hard to do so for me but when I know that there are people out there looking forward to my update it compels me to deliver. I hope that the spare time I used was worth it, this chapter I did not do many revisions with and I just tried to get it out as soon as I could; I hope the quality was not sacrificed in order to do so. I have the layout done so all I need is time and motivation(reviews) to help me get the rest out. So I would like to apologize for the wait but here it is! So please enjoy :)

"Mommy!"

Two small hands shook Kagome's shoulders.

"Wake up!"

She groaned and cracked an eye open to peer at her alarm clock.

"Kenichi," she said quietly, "it's so early."

"I know but it's the day!" He looked at her with an excited expression.

"Alright," she pushed the boy off of her chest and onto the bed beside her, "I'm up."

Slowly she made her way out of the bedroom and prepared some food.

The pair ate their breakfast and started getting ready.

Today was a big day. It was the day Sesshomaru would be flying into town. After three long weeks of separation Kenichi and Sesshomaru, and Kagome, would be together again.

For some strange reason, she was very nervous about her appearance; it took a long time for her to get ready.

Kagome wanted to look good because it was Sesshomaru; but she didn't want to look too good because it was just Sesshomaru. A large curling iron allowed her hair to flow in large beachy waves. Her makeup had been done simply; eyeliner and mascara. She donned a pair of dark skinny jeans, a light purple tank top, and her favorite gray cashmere cardigan.

It was much easier for Kagome to get Kenichi ready. She dressed him in a pair of light brown cargo shorts and one of the many t-shirts that Sesshomaru had shipped to them. To Kagome's relief, the man had a good sense of style and she loved all the clothes he bought for the boy. The only problem was that she was running out of room in the dresser because of all his new stuff.

"How much longer?" Kenichi was anxious, ready for his father.

"It's gonna be a couple hours."

The young boy groaned in frustration. He had been waiting so patiently to see his dad; it seemed that the last few hours would be the hardest. His nerves were ringing from eagerness.

Kagome could sense the boy's disappointment and thought of an activity to distract him. She wandered into the room and grabbed Kenichi's new tablet, courtesy of his dad. Kagome only let the child use it a few times since it came in the mail. She did not want her child to be spoiled.

A few hours later, a knock on the door made Kagome jump from her place on the living room sofa. She had received a text from Sesshomaru when he got off the airplane but she was still a bit frazzled from the anticipation.

Kenichi was too involved in his game to hear the door. He was unfazed when Kagome stood up and walked away.

She opened the door and her breathe hitched at the sight of him. He was so handsome, and she seemed to have forgotten just how good he looked.

He was unaware of her staring as he found himself captivated just by her standing in front of him. She looked beautiful; her memory did no justice to her looks in person.

They were broken from the trance when a small body pushed Kagome to the side and clung onto Sesshomaru's legs.

"Daddy!" The spell broke and both parents were distracted by the sight of Kenichi's delight. "I missed you!"

"I have missed you too," Sesshomaru bent down to lift his son with his right arm, hoisting the boy up to his side. Kenichi wrapped his arms around his father's neck as he carried him inside.

Kagome closed the door behind them and followed them into the living room.

Sesshomaru turned around to face the woman and held out his left arm. Kagome had not noticed that he had been holding a beautiful bouquet of a variety of colorful flowers.

"These are for you."

"You didn't have to get me flowers." She blushed and smiled widely, reaching for the flowers. "They're beautiful, thank you."

She left the room to find a vase for the flowers so she could set them on the dining room table.

Sesshomaru turned his head to look at his son, a smile spread across his face.

"Words cannot express how much I have longed to be in your presence, Kenichi."

The boy hugged his father; Sesshomaru closed his eyes as he held his son tight against his chest.

That was how Kagome found them.

She stood silently, letting them have their moment. Warmth spread throughout her chest at the sight; apparently she had missed Sesshomaru more than she originally thought.

The man felt her gaze on him and he turned to look at her. His look of total content made her feel instantly relaxed. Their strange little family was together again, for some time at least.

"How about we go somewhere for lunch?" Sesshomaru asked Kagome.

"Sure," she nodded, "just let me grab my purse and we can leave." She took the left behind tablet from the sofa to put back in her room as she grabbed her bag.

Kenichi gave his best puppy eyes to his dad while they were alone.

"Can we go to the park later?" Sesshomaru smiled at the expression. They would do as he asked, but his use of child manipulation was pretty cute.

"We can do whatever you want."

"Anything?" The boys face lit up.

"Anything," Sesshomaru nodded, he then smirked, "as long your mother approves."

The trio went to a small family diner for some lunch, and true to Sesshomaru's promise they went to the park afterwards. Kagome relaxed on a park bench as she watched the two men on the playground. Kenichi insisted that his father not leave his side, so Sesshomaru followed the child around. He didn't get on the play equipment, but stood close by whatever tunnels and slides Kenichi chose to play on.

After leaving the park, they went to a nearby shopping area. While passing a nail salon, Sesshomaru convinced Kagome to let him buy her a mani/pedi. It wasn't too hard for a girl to pass that up, and Kagome relaxed at the salon while Sesshomaru and Kenichi wandered from store to store.

Kagome had made her point clear multiple times about not wanting Sesshomaru to spoil Kenichi. He understood her point, and would respect her wishes. So they only got a few things, though Sesshomaru wanted to give his son everything that he asked for.

The three reunited after about an hour and headed towards the apartment so that Kagome could get started on dinner.

They had a grilled chicken with rice. The adults both had a glass of wine, Kenichi drank milk. Then after everyone was finished eating, Kagome resigned herself to do the dishes while the men spent time together in the living room.

The last few hours of family time was spent pleasantly. Kagome was nestled in the couch cushions reading a book while peeking at the boys every once in a while. Kenichi had one of his play cities set up and was playing with his action figures as Sesshomaru watched. The child had a great imagination and Sesshomaru paid attention with interest while the child explained what was going on and which of his toys were doing what.

It was getting late when Kagome excused herself to go into the bedroom. She came back out with a small duffle bag. She and Sesshomaru decided to let Kenichi spend the nights with Sesshomaru while he was visiting. Kagome was not looking forward to being without the boy, but it was only fair and Sesshomaru deserved some time to have Kenichi to himself.

The child looked up with interest. "Mommy, what's that for?" He pointed at the duffle bag from his spot on the floor.

"Well," she tried to sound enthusiastic, though she didn't want him to leave. "You get to stay over daddy's house while he visits."

"I thought daddy lived far…" He looked back and forth between parents. Sesshomaru spoke.

"Your grandparents own a house nearby. Do you remember visiting them?" He continued after seeing Kenichi slowly nod. "That is where I stay when I am in town."

"Okay." He nodded with a smile, excited for a sleepover. Then he stood up to look through the bag that his mom prepared, making sure he liked everything she packed.

"Mommy," Kenichi frowned and looked around the room. "Where's your stuff?"

"Oh," Kagome's eyes widened at his question. "I'm staying here honey."

The boy frowned. "What?"

"It will be just you and I tonight, Kenichi." Sesshomaru told him.

"But what are you gonna do mommy?" He looked at his mom.

"I'm gonna stay here." She smiled. "We want you to spend some one on one time with your father. Wouldn't you like that?"

"I guess." He looked a bit dejected. It was understandable though, he was always with Kagome.

Sesshomaru stood up and got his sons attention.

"I suggest we leave now Kenichi." That way they could hang out before the child had to go to sleep.

The boy nodded to his father and ran over to his mom to give her a hug.

"I love you mommy." He said into her chest. Kagome smiled and kissed the top of his head.

"I love you too sweetheart."

Within ten minutes the men had left and Kagome sighed before closing the apartment door. This was the first time the Kenichi ever left her.

"Gosh, I know how it feels for Kenichi when I leave," she said quietly. Kenichi probably always felt like this when she'd left for work.

She walked into the eerily quiet living room and sat down. She felt a bit lonely knowing that her son was off having fun with Sesshomaru and Sango was out of town with Miroku for the week.

"Now what am I supposed to do?"

Kagome was lying in the bathtub with her eyes closed and a soft smile on her lips. In her right hand was a book and in her left she held a glass of wine. The bottle was not far out of reach either; she didn't want to leave her bubble bath for every glass she drank. The tub was completely full of hot water and there were bubbles everywhere, the room was dimly lit and smelled of lavender.

To put it simply, Kagome was in heaven.

She was surprised to hear a loud knocking on the door. Whoever it was had been pounding the wood pretty hard for her to hear it in the bathroom.

"Mmm," she moaned and thought to herself, "Who could that be?"

The knocking continued and she glared while getting herself out of the tub. She had to turn on the shower for a couple seconds to rinse the bubbles off of her. Then she wrapped herself up in a soft room and swiftly tied it shut.

The incessant knocking continued throughout it all, and it was grating on her nerves.

As Kagome neared the door, she could hear a child wailing.

As she got even closer, she realized that it was her child crying. A million thoughts ran through her head while she rushed over to swing the door open.

She was greeted with an angry Sesshomaru and a sad boy.

"What's going on?" She said as she instinctively reached out for her son. Kenichi practically leaped into her arms.

"Mommy!" He gripped on tight as he cried into her robe.

"What happened?" She repeated as Sesshomaru stepped into the apartment, looking very frustrated.

"Do you not know how to answer your phone?" He asked, ignoring her question. "I have been calling you practically nonstop for the last half hour."

"What?" She gasped. "My phone… it's in the bedroom. I was in the bathroom."

"Hn," Sesshomaru sent her an accusatory glare. "Kenichi missed you and wanted to speak with you."

"Oh gosh," she said, "I feel so guilty." The child's cries had lessened a bit, but he was still unaware of the conversation going on around him.

"He cried and screamed the whole way here. He was worried when you did not answer."

"Oh no," she frowned. Kagome moved her arms to maneuver her child into a position where he would look at her. "Kenichi," she said, "I am so sorry."

The boy nodded and leaned forward to wrap his arms around her neck.

Both parents sighed.

"Now what?" Kagome asked.

"I suppose I will take my leave," he put Kenichi's overnight bag on a sofa. "We will try again tomorrow."

"No!" Kenichi yelled out. "Stay here!"

Sesshomaru hesitated. Kagome noticed and an idea formed in her head.

"Sango won't be here tonight," she said. "You can sleep in my bed, I'll stay in hers. I know she won't mind."

"Hn." He took a moment to consider it. Kagome wanted him to say yes, for Kenichi.

"I'll go back to my bubble bath and stay out of your way. You can just pretend I'm not here. But I will be just in case I'm needed."

"… Alright."

Kagome emerged from the bathroom just in time to help get Kenichi ready for bed. Sesshomaru helped the boy change into his pajamas and brush his teeth. He gave her a kiss goodnight and the father and son when into the bedroom so the boy could be tucked in.

Kagome was in the kitchen washing dishes and cleaning up a bit when Sesshomaru walked in.

"He is asleep."

"Already?" She smiled. "That was fast. What were you two doing?"

"Guy stuff."

Kagome laughed at his answer. It was time for the adults to hang out now; not that it was planned for them to spend time together. This visit was all about Kenichi, but he was asleep and they were awake.

They walked into the living room and sat on opposite ends of the sofa. Sesshomaru had opened his mouth to speak when his phone started to vibrate on the coffee table.

Kagome noticed him glare at the device before turning to her.

"Excuse me." He grabbed the phone and walked into the bathroom, closing the door for privacy, but Kagome was nosey and apartment was quiet anyways. She could make out some of his words.

"I told you not to call me… I do not care… Do not disturb me again Sara… I'll let you know when I'm back in town… Goodbye."

There were a few moments of silence before the door opened and he walked into the living room to sit back on the couch.

He saw Kagome giving him an inquisitive look.

"What?" He asked, slightly annoyed from his previous conversation.

"Who's Sara?"

"Eavesdropping, Kagome?" He frowned at her rudeness.

"The house is dead silent, what did you want me to do?" She asked sarcastically. "Cover my ears?"

"Hn."

"Anyways, who is Sara?" She wanted an answer.

"Nobody for you to concern yourself with."

"That's bullshit." She glared at him. "You threw a hissy fit when I went out with Koga."

"I did no such thing."

"Okay," she said mockingly, "so why did we agree to tell each other about whomever we're going out with then?"

"Our agreement was that I would tell you about any female I planned to bring around our son. Sara will not be meeting Kenichi."

"Why not?"

"Really, Kagome?"

"Yeah… What, are you afraid she'll dump you when she learns you have an illegitimate child?" Her cheeks were slightly flushed from her anger. Sesshomaru stared blankly at her.

"Are you done yet?"

"Hmph," she crossed her arms. "Yeah, I am."

"Good." He nodded, making her feel like a child. "My relationship with Sara is not serious, therefore by the time Kenichi will be around my home she will no longer be in my life." He hoped she understood his point.

"Oh," she made a disgusted face; she understood exactly what he meant. "That's nice." She turned away, upset.

"You should be glad I am being selective about who he will eventually meet."

"Yeah," she said flatly. Then she stood up. "I'm going to bed. Goodnight." Without waiting for a response she made a beeline into her best friend's bedroom and left the door ajar.

What was wrong with her? Why was she so angry at the thought of Sesshomaru sleeping around with this Sara woman?

Was she jealous?

"I am not jealous," she grumbled while climbing into the bed.

'I have Koga,' she thought, 'and I wouldn't want to be with Sesshomaru anyways. He's a heartless player!'

Kagome had no idea who that other woman was but she didn't like her already. 'What kind of girl just makes herself available to a guy when he has no intention of every being with her more than intimately?'

Unless.

'What if he was lying? What if she really was his girlfriend? ... No,' She shook the thoughts away. 'He wasn't talking to her like he would if she was important to him… stupid skank.'

Kagome had spent the entirety of her date with Koga complaining about Sesshomaru hooking up with Sara.

She thought that Sesshomaru was being a manwhore and it was wrong of him to use a woman only for sex. She also thought that Sara was a slut and how pathetic she was to let Sesshomaru treat her like nothing more than a doormat.

Next thing you know, the couple were back at Koga's flat, in his bedroom, on the bed, making out.

Kagome was a bit nervous; she had never gone this far with Koga before. She squeezed her eyes shut and moaned as a hand went up her dress and a finger slid against her wet panties.

She threw her head back as he teased her mercilessly and didn't even notice that they were no longer at Koga's place. Instead, it was a familiar room; she couldn't remember where exactly.

She looked back at her date in confusion. He was pulling his shirt over his head and her eyes widened when she saw the long silver tendrils spilling out.

Suddenly she forgot who Koga was.

Sesshomaru tossed his shirt aside and leaned forward to continue kissing Kagome. He covered her small body with his own and pushed his hips against her. She moaned, feeling his hard member pressing against her.

He skillfully lifted her dress up and panties down to her ankles; she kicked them off as her arms went around his neck, pulling him even closer.

The couple broke apart for breath and Sesshomaru had his pants and underwear off before Kagome even registered that he had moved to take them off.

He was back on top of her in an instant, this time the head of his shaft was pressed against her wet folds.

Just the sensation of his member against her had Kagome moaning with anticipation. She thrust her hips upwards in an attempt to push him in further, but he backed away.

"Say my name." He whispered.

"Sesshomaru." She moaned wantonly.

"Hn," he pushed his cock in, but only until just the head was inside of her. She almost whined in desperation. It felt so good, she needed more.

"Louder," he said.

"Sesshomaru!" Kagome did as he said; she was so horny that she was ready to beg at this point.

The man let out deep moan as he slowly pushed himself inside of her.

He kissed her neck as she tangled her fingers through his hair.

They started going at a slow rhythm, then Sesshomaru began pumping in and out of her feverently.

Kagome could feel her climax coming up. He just had to keep going and soon enough Kagome yelled his name out as her release came.

"Sesshomaru!" She sat up in the bed and gasped for air. She instantly realized that she was in Sango's room.

'Oh my gosh!' her eyes were wide as she'd realized what she'd just done.

The bedroom door was pushed all the way open and Sesshomaru entered. He only stepped in, not wanting to go in Sango's room without permission.

"Are you alright?" He heard her call him when he was in the kitchen. He had been making Kenichi a bowl of cereal and planned on waking the woman after the child had been taken care of.

"Me?" Kagome squeaked while pointing to herself. Her face was red as a tomato.

"Yes," Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes. "Did you not call me? I know I wasn't hearing things."

"Right." She nodded; there was no denying she called his name out. Hopefully she didn't scream it like in her dream.

"So," he broke through her thoughts. "What do you want?"

"Oh," she smiled with a blush on her face, the she waved him off. "Never mind, I forgot."

They had a stare down for a few seconds. Sesshomaru felt like she was lying, and Kagome was trying to hide her mortification. Soon enough, Sesshomaru shook his head and turned to walk away.

"Strange woman."
