AN: Thank you all for the reviews. Glad I could update just a bit sooner than last time. I'm so busy with work and school but I try to write when I have time, your reviews motivate me to write more when I could be taking a lovely nap. I'd like to remind everyone that this is fiction and I have never been to Vegas, nor have I gotten to go to a UFC match since there are NEVER any in the state I live in :( After researching as much as I can I realized that some things may not be 100% accurate. So please forgive me if any of that is noticeable. I won't call myself out on exactly what I may have written wrong and then discovered later because it's details that make no difference to the plot. So yeah, just had to say that. Please forgive any spelling and grammatical errors as well. I am more than happy (and slightly embarrassed) to fix anything that is brought to my attention. Anyways I will shut up and let you read.

Kenichi could barely contain his excitement as the plane landed. He was so close to seeing his father, and even more, he was on an adventure; going to a new place with his mom. Kagome was thankful to have such a well behaved child. She only had to ask him to calm down twice by the time they were walking off the plane. They picked up their luggage and found Izayoi waiting for them.

"Izayoi!" Kagome called out happily as she hugged the woman. "Where is Sesshomaru?" she asked, looking behind her, as if expecting to see him.

"He's at the gym." Izayoi pouted. "The men have been there more than ever, lately. I cannot stand it. I get so lonely whenever they have events coming up." Then she turned a loving smile onto Kenichi. "Now that you are here I will have someone to keep me company." She leaned down and spread her arms open for a hug. The child did not hesitate in embracing the woman. After breaking the hug, Izayoi looked at Kagome. She moved to take one of the bags before turning away from them. "Come, I will take you to the gym. It's nearly impossible to interrupt Sesshomaru and Inuyasha when they are training so rigidly, but I'm pretty sure our VIP guests will catch their attention."

Kagome and Kenichi both smiled at her words. They followed her out to the car and Kagome's heart swelled when Izayoi informed her that Sesshomaru purchased a car seat for Kenichi. The young mother had completely forgotten to ask him to do so, and his thoughtfulness was touching.

The drive from the airport to the gym was not very long. The time was spent with Kenichi talking about how excited he was to see his dad and what he had been up to all month.

As the ladies and child walked into the building, they were greeted by a few inquisitive receptionists who were curious as to whom the new young lady with Izayoi was, and who was the tiny Takahashi holding her hand. Kagome had been introduced as Kenichi's mother, and Kenichi was Sesshomaru's son. The ladies adored Kenichi and Izayoi was more than happy to chitchat while her acquaintances gushed over her grandson. Kagome felt no need to stay, as her presence was not needed. She also wanted to find Sesshomaru and complain to him about not being at the airport. Kenichi missed him and he was at the gym; Not an acceptable excuse.

She asked one of the ladies for directions and made her way into the gym. Kagome's eyes were quick to land on Sesshomaru. Suddenly she forgot why she was so upset with him.

He had been sparring with someone and she felt herself instantly turned on watching how his strong muscles moved to defend and attack from his adversary. The light sheen of sweat glistened on his skin and she could see the determination in his eyes. His movements were flawless and the most basic parts in her mind wanted the man. Since the beginning of time, the urge to find a strong mate kept the human race strong; and she wanted him.

He finally looked up to catch her staring at him and a cocky smirk was sent her way, a fist narrowly missed his face for that. He remembered his reaction to her dirty pictures and he was sure his expression had been similar to her current one. He surprised his sparring partner by signaling to take a break.

He made his way over to her, grabbing a bottle of water and gulping it down as he walked towards her. A few beads of sweat rolled down his chest, he stood close enough for Kagome to notice. He was, in every way, a man.

"Kagome," he greeted. They had not been on the friendliest terms lately; their only conversations were about Kenichi, nothing more.

"Sesshomaru," Kagome breathed out, trying to get a hold of herself. She shook her head before giving him a smile. "Hi."

"Hello," he let out a light chuckle. She was obviously affected by him and he found it amusing. "I apologize for not being able to be at the airport."

His words surprised her, bringing back her previous thoughts. She scowled at him. "And just what was so important that you had to make Kenichi wait to see you?"

Sesshomaru ignored her question. "Where is he?"

Kagome let out a sharp breath. She was about to give him a piece of her mind when her son's shriek caused her to turn her head.

"DADDY!" A little silver bullet ran into Sesshomaru's legs.

"Kenichi." The adult moved to pick up the child. He threw the boy up into the air and then caught him, holding him close in a hug. Sesshomaru kissed the top of his son's head as tiny arms wrapped around his neck.

Kagome's anger melted away as soon as she saw how content her child looked. She smiled lovingly at the pair in front of her. Nothing made her happier than seeing her son happy.

Kagome was then greeted by Inuyasha, Toga, and then introduced the other people at the gym. Out of camaraderie, everyone wanted to see Sesshomaru's son. Because they were all men, everyone wanted to meet Sesshomaru's child's mother.

Kagome was blushing the whole time as each man flattered her. Sesshomaru tried not to let it bother him, but he was relieved when Inuyasha shooed the guys away from her.

Kagome and Kenichi sat down and watched Sesshomaru train for half an hour before he finally deemed his work out worthy enough to be done. He was eager to spend time with his son, but he had an important match to prepare for.

After leaving the building, Sesshomaru took Kagome and Kenichi's things from Izayoi's car and put them in his own. Then they drove off. Their first destination was Sesshomaru's home. Then he could show Kenichi where he lived and put the luggage away. He also wanted to ask Kagome if she would mind being in an interview with Kenichi for him. Just as much, he knew that this would be like a vacation for her, and he wanted to do what he could to give the supermom a break.

He would them take them out to lunch where he would discuss the weeks plans with Kagome. The week was hers to do as she pleased, but with his match coming up, he couldn't have Kenichi all the time. There was also the sleeping arrangement. His house, though extremely luxurious, only had two bedrooms; his room, and a rarely used guest room. He figured that the guest room would be given to Kagome and that Kenichi could share a bed with whichever he felt. Sesshomaru had a California king size bed so he had more than enough room for the child to fit. Sesshomaru was looking forward to the days where he would spend morning to night with his son. Today would be the first.

The first few days in Vegas were a blessing for Kagome. The weather was beautiful and Kenichi was so busy spending time with people in his paternal family that she only saw him in the morning and at night. Sesshomaru was even kind enough to make her a plate of breakfast every morning, and if she were to sleep in he would leave it in the fridge for her. Beautiful city, beautiful house, delicious food, no responsibilities; what a vacation! She was free to do whatever she wanted. Inuyasha had been so kind as to take her gambling in most of the casino's and lady luck had been on her side. When Kenichi was with Sesshomaru, Izayoi would take Kagome sightseeing, as well as planned ahead for a few shows. As beautiful as Las Vegas was, in Kagome's opinion, as a busy mother, nothing beat relaxing by Sesshomaru's pool. The man knew how to live. Kagome loved his house, even more, she loved that he kept bottles of the best champagne in his fridge. She could spend her life poolside, drinking champagne, and listening to music. The only downside was just how hot it was! She was not used to being in a desert or anywhere remotely close to one. Again, the pool, a few feet away from her was like a gift from the gods; well, the water inside of it was.

Her phone interrupted her relaxed trance and she saw a text message from Izayoi, telling her what time to be ready by. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's match was tonight. Kenichi had been with his father in the morning and then was dropped off at his grandparent's house to be watched by Izayoi. The woman would later pick up Kagome and drop her off at the arena, leaving with Kenichi. It was planned that Kagome would then find her seat and when the events were complete, leave with the Takahashi's.

Kagome adjusted her sunglasses as she tried to figure out what she was going to wear. She had gone shopping with Izayoi and the ladies had selected multiple outfits. Kagome was able to pay for most of them herself thanks to her casino winnings, but Sesshomaru had given her a prepaid card to use while she was here. Any other time she would have refused to spend his money so selfishly on herself, but again, she was on vacation and she would take every opportunity to enjoy herself. Besides, after getting a look at his home, she realized that he had more than enough money to share, and if he was going to offer it then why not?

Gathering her things from the area, she made her way inside, shivering as the conditioned air hit her skin. She had a few hours to get ready. That was enough time to take a shower, make a small meal, do her makeup and hair, and get dressed.

Kagome did those things in that exact order. Showered with her favorite scented soaps, made and ate chicken and rice, as well as load the dishwasher, and then it was time to actually get herself ready.

Sesshomaru told Kagome that she would be sitting on the floor, in one of the best seats of the house. On one hand, she didn't care what anyone thought of her, she was attractive, and she knew it. On the other hand, she was well aware the type of people that would be surrounding her, so she wanted to look her best.

She had decided to do her makeup simple. Her clear complexion permitted her to forgo any cover-up; no need to paint her face. She slowly and very carefully applied a thin line of eyeliner onto her eyelids. Then, she began the dreaded process of thickening the line EVENLY on each side. Luck was still on her side as she did this and the tips reached out into two perfect wings. She had to take a moment to appreciate that she didn't mess it up, it was rare, and any woman knows how much of a pain it can be to do their eyeliner. After admiring the perfect lines, Kagome reached into her makeup bag and pulled out her fake lashes and glue. They weren't overly long or dramatic, so nobody would ever know they weren't real. She couldn't stand when women wore obviously fake lashes. They were made to enhance, not take over! Carefully, and with a steady and well practiced hand, she put each strip on. After a few minutes passed she blinked forcefully to make sure they were secure. She was tempted to skip the mascara, seeing as her lashes looked perfect, but it was Vegas, so why not?

Her still damp hair was then blow dried and she used her biggest curling iron to give herself perfect beachy waves. After turning the hot iron off, Kagome checked her phone to see how much time she had left. Izayoi had sent another message to let Kagome know that she was on her way.

"Now to get dressed." Kagome frowned. She still had no idea as to what she would wear. The woman went through her clothes and picked out her three favorite outfits. She tried each one on before deciding on her second choice.

By the time Kagome finished getting dressed, she could hear the doorbell ringing. She hurried downstairs to open the door.

"Mommy!" Kenichi moved to jump on her but froze a moment before. "Whoa," he looked her up and down, "you look pretty."

"Thank you, sweetie." Kagome said, smiling. She moved to let Izayoi into the house.

"Kagome, you are just beautiful." The woman said genuinely as she stepped in. "Everyone will be there for the fights but they will be looking at you."

Kagome blushed at the woman's kind words. "Thank you." She suddenly felt bashful, knowing that Izayoi would not lie to her. "I'll be ready in just a few minutes, I have to grab a few things, and then we can go."

"Take your time," the woman nodded, "we arrived a bit early."

Kagome went back upstairs one last time to organize everything she used to get ready. Then she took a once over in the mirror, making sure she was happy with her apparel. She had chosen a black sheath dress. The neckline went straight across while her pushup bra underneath lifted her breasts into perfect perky mounds just peaking over the hem. Conservative, but it showed enough to make you wish it was even lower. The dress had small sleeves that covered her shoulders, their purpose to hide any bra straps and make the sexy dress classier. The dress fit around her body perfectly; it was tight enough to show off all over her curves but still allowed her to breathe easily and be comfortable. It went down to mid-thigh showing off her long legs. She paired the dress with gold platform pumps and her medium sized clutch was gold with some cute sequins. She didn't want to overdue anything so she decided to go without any jewelry, besides her simple golden stud earrings.

After making sure she had everything she would need in her clutch, and spritzing her favorite perfume Kagome left the room. She began to feel giddy as she left with Izayoi and Kenichi. The older woman seemed to have noticed Kagome's discomfort during the drive.

"Kagome, are you alright?" Her voice brought the young mother to look away from the window.

Kagome sighed. "I'm so nervous," she answered honestly, "but I don't know why."

Izayoi smiled knowingly. She had an inkling that it had something to do with her stepson. She still wanted to comfort the girl, though. "There is nothing to be nervous about. I know you'll be by yourself most of the time, but you will always have your phone to text me. And, during the matches, you'll be too distracted to pay attention to any anxiety."

"Thanks." Kagome smiled. "I will let you know when I get to my seat then. Who knows, maybe I'll be sitting by some celebrities in the VIP area."

"That's the spirit," Izayoi lightly cheered her on.

Kagome's nerves had eased considerable by the time the first match of the night started. The people sitting next to her were friendly enough so it wasn't too awkward for her to sit on her phone as she waited. She had never been one to sit and watch any type of sporting event, so her adrenaline was on high with anticipation. She found herself hypnotized as she watched the men exchange and dodge blows. It was crazy! It was a rush just watching.

She stood up to cheer as she watched her old friend walk into the octagon. Her son's grandfather coaching him. Through all her memories, the younger Takahashi had never looked so determined. He wanted to win; she could see it in his eyes. His opponent looked equally determined and Kagome felt herself wince every time Inuyasha took a hit. She wanted to scream for the match to stop when Inuyasha almost had his arm snapped in half. She restrained herself and instead clenched her hands on her thighs, holding tears of worry in. To her relief, he was able to release himself from the hold and before she knew it they were back on their feet. Inuyasha ended the match a round early when he landed a side kick on his opponents head. The man hit the ground and Inuyasha was on him in an instant landing punch after punch on the guy's face. After enough blows to the head, the opponent seemed to go limp for a moment, and the referee was pushing Inuyasha aside to check on him. The match was over.

Kagome found herself clapping and yelling as she celebrated his victory. She had never been more proud of him when he had been announced the winner. As he and his team made their exit, his eyes found her and he nodded with a smile. Kagome grinned. At that moment, memories flooded her mind; she knew more than anyone how much Inuyasha wanted this. She was so happy for him. He was living his dreams.

She had calmed herself and sent Izayoi a text message to let the woman know that Inuyasha was alive, well, and the winner. During the short intermission, the interview that Sesshomaru had requested her presence in played. She watched with interest, having never actually seen it yet. She listened as Sesshomaru explained a bit about himself and her heart swelled as he mentioned their child. She was well aware that the last time he had a fight, Kenichi was nonexistent to him. Hearing Kenichi mentioned as one of his main reasons for succeeding brought tears to her eyes. She always knew that his career was most important in his life, but his words shone on light on how wrong she was. Now, it was Kenichi that was most important.

"Everything I do is for my son," she heard. Her ears stopped working after that and she zoned out as she saw the video clip of Kenichi running into Sesshomaru's arms to be thrown into the air and caught. It transitioned into the image of her kissing Kenichi's forehead.

"Hey," a voice pulled Kagome from her trance.

The young mother turned her head to the right to look at whoever was speaking to her. It was a young woman, blonde, skinny, tan, and gorgeous.

"That's you, isn't it?" The blonde motioned towards the screen.

Kagome blushed before nodding. "Yes."

"Delilah." A perfectly manicured hand reached out.

"Kagome," she answered uncertainly, taking the appendage in her own. Why was this woman talking to her?

"I'm Inuyasha's girlfriend."

"Oh!" Kagome's eyes widened at the revelation. Inuyasha hadn't mentioned having a girlfriend, nor did anybody else, but it wasn't exactly her business always. "Nice to meet you," she offered a smile to the woman.

"You too," Delilah said. They didn't get the chance to continue with a conversation; the final match of the night was about to begin.

Kagome lightly clapped out of sportsmanship as Sesshomaru's opponent made his way into the cage. She was not prepared for the way her heart would jump as the most intimidating metal blasted through the large room. She wondered if this was the kind of music that calm Sesshomaru liked. The camera's were on him as he made his entrance.

Unlike with Inuyasha, Kagome did not cheer. She couldn't remember when she stood up, but she was; stuck staring at him as he made his way down.

He looked calm and collective as he led his entourage through the aisles. His head was held high and he held an arrogant expression. One would think he'd already won the match from observing his current disposition. To Kagome's surprise, he had made his way a few feet away from her before stopping and turning to her. His eyes quickly scanned over her form and he gave her a haughty smirk. Before she could question if he really did such a thing, he was gone and on his way. A hand grasped her upper arm and she turned to see a grinning Delilah. Kagome's face turned ten shades of red before she looked back towards Sesshomaru.

The rest of the crowd was going wild but Kagome was immobile as she watched him interact with his team. Her pulse jumped when he lifted his shirt off, and her anxiety rose as he put his mouth guard in. What a man. She didn't even hear the roar of the crowd cheering as the men walked up to each other, nor could she hear a word the announcer spoke.

She slowly lowered herself back to the seat as the fight started; her hands gripped the bottom of her chair. She barely even blinked as she watched the battle in front of her. His opponent was quick, but Sesshomaru was quicker. Some moments she would jump slightly; she found herself letting out the breath she didn't know she held in as the first round ended.

She watched with trepidation as each man was looked over and tended to. Each round would continue as such. Sesshomaru was the clear victor of the night; he was especially vicious in the fifth and final round. Kagome knew that Sesshomaru would have wanted a highlight reel knockout, or at least made the man submit by tapping out. Kagome had to respect the opponent; he sure could take a beating, though Sesshomaru had received his fair share of blows too.

In the end, Sesshomaru won by a landslide of points. He was still undefeated. He would hold onto his title.

A grin that he only wore with Kenichi was placed on his face as his teammates celebrated around him. Even with the sweat, bruises, and a few cuts, Sesshomaru could melt any girl's heart within an instant.

Kagome was also sporting a grin. She was extremely happy that both men she'd been rooting for had won.

Then she was interrupted by a security person who would take her into the back area so she could leave with the Takahashi's. She politely said goodbye to the girl beside her and followed the man out of the arena. He led her to the room where Inuyasha was found with his arm being tended to.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome called out his name as she ran up to him. "You are so awesome!"

"Thanks Kagome." He moved away from the person examining him and stretched his arms out to accept her hug. "So did you enjoy your first MMA experience?"

"Yes! I still don't condone violence and I don't like the thought of you getting yourself hurt," she smiled, slyly, "but you did look pretty badass."

"Fuck yeah I did," Inuyasha smirked.
