Chapter 3- the day before Legacy day

Cerise was wondering the halls of Ever After High when she bumped into Headmaster Grimm. "Headmaster, look, I have decided what I will do, but you will know tomorrow."

"Thank you for letting me know," Headmaster Grimm said, smiling. "You may be one of the only ones that can choose between two destinies."

As Headmaster Grimm walked off, Raven ran over. "Cerise, I need your help."

"What is it?" Cerise asked, worriedly.

"Apple wants me to sign the storybook of legends so that she gets her own happily ever after; however, I don't think I can do it."

"I think you should do what you think is right," Cerise told her. Raven had only found out about Cerise's family recently, so she was one of the only ones that knew about it.

"So," Raven said. "What about you? You have two destinies to choose from. What are you going to do?"

"You are going to find out tomorrow," Cerise grinned.

Raven didn't question to her about it any longer, for Maddie suddenly arrived. They walked off together happily as Cerise ran up to her dorm room. Luckily, Cedar wasn't in.

"Right then," Cerise said to herself. "It is time to put my plan into action." She got out some fluffy, grey fabric and started to sew.

A few hours later, Cerise had finished her hood. She had fashioned a wolf's head onto it.

Cedar then stumbled in. "Hello Cerise," she said. She suddenly stopped. "Wow. Are you wearing that for legacy day?" Cerise nodded in agreement.

"So, are you rebelling against your destiny?" Cedar asked.

"You will find out tomorrow," Cerise promised before she left the room.

Cerise was on her way to the enchanted forest when she met Daring.

"Cerise," he said. "About last time…"

"Yeah, sorry about stepping out of the way," Cerise said.

"No, it's just that I wasn't expecting to kiss Carmine instead," he told Cerise.

"Oh," Cerise replied, not knowing what to say.

"Anyway, what are your plans for legacy day?" Daring asked her.

"I'm not sure," Cerise replied. "I have no idea about what I want to do."

"Well," Daring began. "There is a party going on at Royal rock. If you want to come, you can as I am allowed to bring someone."

"O.K," Cerise replied.

"Shall we meet at seven at Royal harbour?"

"Sure," Cerise replied, feeling a lot happier.

As Daring left her, Cerise continued into the enchanted forest. When she got there, Carmine jumped up into Cerise's arms.

Cerise smiled. "Hey boy," she whispered. "How are you?" Carmine yapped in reply. "Do you want to go for a run?" Cerise asked. Carmine nodded. Cerise put him down on the ground and they raced off.

A few minutes later, they reached the edge of the enchanted forest. "Hey, Carmine," Cerise said once Carmine caught up with her. "Yeah, I want to race again too, but I have to go back to school," Cerise told him sadly. "Go and find our pack," Carmine nodded and raced off.

Cerise arrived back in her dorm room a few minutes later, when she found a parcel outside her room. She looked at the note. It was to her, from Daring Charming. Cerise took it in.

"Hi Cerise," Cedar said. "How are you?"

"I'm great, thanks." Cerise said, smiling.

"I'm glad about that," Cedar replied. Cerise then opened her parcel. There was a box inside. She opened the lid and found a wolf ring. She tried it on and it fitted perfectly. Cerise smiled and started skipping around the room.

Cedar smiled at her roommate, wondering what had put her in this mood. However, Cedar didn't worry. She then looked out of the window. There were about a million lanterns outside, and then Daring flew up on a magic carpet.

"Cerise," he said. "Do you want to come with me?" He held his hand out to Cerise and she took it. Daring helped her up. Soon, they were both soaring over the grounds of Ever After High. Cerise felt that she had to conceal who she really was. 'It's all going to end tomorrow,' she told herself. 'Just one more day.'
