Chapter 4: The Warning Note
A/N: Sorry about the title of the last chapter. It's supposed to say, "The Hunt for the Journal Begins. Anyway, enjoy.
Reverse Mabel shrugged then she and her brother left the room. They went into their R.V. to try and come up with how they were going to get Gideon to spill about the journal. They sat there thinking for about an hour, until the perfect plan popped into their minds.

Dipper's POV:
Dipper started to wake up and he felt like he was tied down to something. When he looked behind him, he noticed his hands were tied behind his back. He looked at his surroundings, and found that he was in the twins' dressing room, but the reverse twins were nowhere to be found. Dipper tried to struggle, but it was useless. He stopped after a good ten minutes or so because he could feel the rope starting to dig into his skin. He then noticed that there was nothing in his vest. He let out a sigh of defeat knowing that the Gleeful's had stolen his journal.
Dipper leaned up against the leg of the desk he was tied to, and thought to himself. He wondered what reverse Gideon was like and when, or if, he would get to meet him. He figured that since the twins here were opposite, then Gideon must be too. Dipper sat there in the dressing room alone with his thoughts. He waited there thinking about a way to escape, a way to get back home, or even if the Gleeful Twins would return for him.

Gideon was relaxing on the front porch of the Mystery Shack reading his journal with a number "3" on it. Here he had on an outfit exactly like Dipper's. He wore Dipper's signature pine tree hat, dark blue vest, orange shirt, and gray shorts and tennis shoes; instead of his light blue suit. Another difference in Gideon's appearance was that instead of having his normal Elvis hair; here, he had short, shaggy white hair.
As Gideon was reading he saw a car drive up. He just shrugged it off thinking it was just another tourist. However, just to be safe, Gideon lowered his journal so that neither the cover nor the pages were very visible. The car sat there for a few minutes and didn't move. Gideon got suspicious, so he put his journal away entirely in his vest and started to go inside. As he was entering the Mystery Shack he heard what sounded like a bottle rolling towards him. He immediately turned around, but the car was already almost out of sight. Gideon went down the porch steps and picked up the bottle. He assumed it was from Mermando to Pacifica, but was confused about why it came out of a car. He took the bottle and went to go find her.
Pacifica was in the living room with Grunkle Bud watching tv. In this world, Pacifica basically took Mabel's style. She had her bright, blond hair up in a high ponytail, and was wearing a crazy, abstract sweater. She wore a purple skirt, and black flats with socks. Also, Bud had taken Stan's look with his black suit, 8 ball cane, and fez; however, since he was presently lounging around the house, he was in a white undershirt with white and blue vertical striped underwear. [Author's notation: Am I the only one that finds that even the slightest bit disturbing in the show? I mean seriously?]
Gideon walked into the room and said, "Hey Pacifica, here's a bottle from Mermando. Don't know why it got thrown out of a car though. But it seems to have a message in it."
Pacifica squealed and snatched the bottle from Gideon as quick as she could, not caring where it came from. When she looked at the bottle she was shocked. Then Pacifica said, "Uh, Gideon?" Gideon turned around as he was about to leave the room. Pacifica continued, "This bottle says it's made out to you."
Gideon looked at her with an extremely puzzled look then he took the bottle. Now Bud got curious about what was in the bottle. Once Gideon opened the bottle, he pulled out the note that was inside and opened it up. His face dropped at what he read.
"Well? What does it say kid?" Bud asked.
Gideon then read the letter out loud.
"Dear Gideon,
We have gained possession of the third journal. We know that you have the first one. Either bring it to us, or we'll destroy the keeper of the third journal. Meet us at sundown by the Tent of Telepathy...or else!
- The Gleeful Twins"
"How did they get a hold of your journal!?" Pacifica yelled in worry.
"They didn't!" Gideon pulled out the third journal from his vest.
"Then who do you think they meant by 'the keeper of the third journal'?"
Gideon and Pacifica both shrugged in unison. The boy stared down at his journal and felt worried about the person the twins were holding captive, yet curious at the same time. Gideon knew what to tell the twins, so he got prepared for the upcoming dusk. He was even trying to think of a ploy to rescue the captive.
