Cannibal Strategy
Naruto flipped over Satori's arm, Satori trying futilely to change his flight path. The bottom of Naruto's sandal crashed into the top of Satori's head, blasting him into the ground. Then, Naruto landed just as Satori shot into the air, a stream of feathers flying at Naruto in a trail after him. Naruto swung his sword upward, the feathers skipping off the blade and sticking into the ground behind him. Satori stopped, both wings flapping once and firing hundreds of feathers at Naruto in blurred streaks. Naruto raised his sword then swung it downward as the feathers neared him. The moment the blade touched the ground, an explosion of chakra shot up and outward from the point of impact, incinerating the feathers and sending Satori spinning through the air with the concussion alone. Naruto appeared in the air over Satori, Sword of Kusanagi reaching high into the sky already. Satori saw the blade descending but this time was unable to do anything to stop it from cutting him in two the long way. Then, Naruto landed in a circle below them, likely from his earlier blast, as the creatures around him began to charge. Naruto snorted in amusement, beginning to spin in a blur, extended Sword of Kusanagi whipping around at chest level to the bugs and mowing down line after line after line as they creatures tried to close in on him. One managed to jump over the blade and fly at Naruto only to have one of Naruto's spheres blast straight through him, leaving only his arms and legs to spin through the air.
As Naruto fought the creatures, or rather, slaughtered them, B and Kimimaro were still fighting, the creatures around them leaving them plenty of room. Both were spinning in a blur of blades and sparks with B's flying into the air every so often a few at a time. Every couple of seconds, one of them would manage to get past the other's blades and left a scratch, but the only wounds they could inflict were barely deep enough to draw blood. Finally Kimimaro leapt back and B slowed to a stop, watching Kimimaro carefully.
"You're not even in Version Two yet and you're already a match for me at my strongest," Kimimaro snorted. "Fine. Brute force, let's go."
He retracted all of his bone spikes and formed a drill over his right arm that reached back nearly fifty feet behind him and had opening in the ends of the bone. Before he could attack, Be put his swords away as Jugo landed beside him. Kimimaro lowered the drill a fraction of an inch as B put some distance between himself and Jugo. Then, Jugo shifted into Level Two form entirely, his right arm growing several openings like Kimimaro's bones had. Kimimaro grinned then charged, the opening beginning to fire chakra like thrusters. Jugo pulled his right arm back, making a fist as chakra flew out of his own arm's openings. After a moment, Jugo streaked forward, much faster than Kimimaro. Both shoved their attack forward, Jugo's fist meeting the tip of Kimimaro's drill. The drill all but exploded instantly and Jugo's fist collided with Kimimaro's right shoulder with enough force that nearly all of Kimimaro's torso exploded into red goo, leaving only a thin strip down the left side. Kimimaro flew backward, crashing through the creatures as Jugo stood up straight, returning to normal and turning away from his friend.
"Where are you going?" Kimimaro growled, standing and walking back out of the creatures, black smoke filling in a silhouette of his lost body parts before it reformed. "We're not done!"
Jugo turned back around, reentering his Level Two form as B entered Version Two at seven tails to aid Jugo.
Naruto slowed to a stop as the creatures stopped charging. He retracted his sword blade, using it to steady himself while his vision steadied itself and focussed, finding the eleven members of the Thirteen that were not fighting standing before him. Instantly, Danzo charged forward, all of his Sharingan already in Mangekyo Sharingan form, including the one in his head, which was Shisui's destroyed one. Naruto raised his sword but before either opponent could attack the other, Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, Kakashi, Sakura, Minato, Shikamaru, Asuma, Guy, and Gaara appeared in a line between them. Naruto sighed and looked back as Fu appeared, setting Temujin down then leaving to continue fighting.
"I figured you'd want to do that thing now," Temujin shrugged.
Naruto grinned and nodded, holding out his right hand and growing a Gelel Crystal for everyone present. Temujin fused it with their good hands, Naruto noticing that only Sasuke was left handed. Once everyone had done that, Naruto stepped forward, standing between Shisui and Sasuke with Itachi on Sasuke's other side and the others lined up opposite him.
"Itachi, hold your hand out," Naruto instructed and Itachi did so.
Naruto set his own on it for a moment before removing it, a glowing golden circle remaining for a moment before fading as Itachi's Sharingan glowed Gold for a moment before returning to normal. Then, Naruto turned, placing his hand over Shisui's Sharingan for a moment before lowering his hand, Shisui's Sharingan glowing gold for a moment before fading.
"Congratulations boys," Naruto smiled. "You've both now got Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, courtesy of the Yang-Release power given to me by the Sage of the Six Paths. You two will handle Danzo. Something tells me he hasn't dropped in power since we last met. Sasuke, Kabuto is yours."
"I call Kakuzu," Shikamaru stated.
"I'll take Hidan," Asuma stated.
"I'll take the shark," Guy stated.
"Orochimaru is mine," Minato stated.
"I'm the only one that can fight Obito so he's mine," Kakashi reasoned.
"I'll remind Deidara why he shouldn't be fighting me," Gaara said as enthusiastically as ever.
"I'll take Sasori," Sakura stated. "It looks like he has his old puppet body's weapons so I have the most experience."
"Which leaves Zetsu and Kiba for me," Naruto grinned. "Nowhere near a fair fight for them, but I always did enjoy beating the shit out of Kiba for no reason."
He reached for his other sword but stopped, seeing Kimimaro regenerating thanks to his Tenseigan's extended 360 degrees of sight.
"Shit, they regenerate," Naruto growled. "This aught to be fun then. Aim for the face."
Everyone nodded and charged. Deidara and Gaara both took to the skies instantly while Naruto headed for Zetsu who was sinking into the ground. Before either could begin to fight, Danzo punched the ground, sending everyone, Zetsu included despite only having his head visible, flying. Naruto landed on his feet the others landing around him as Danzo reached up to his face and took hold, pulling it away like it was rubber. After a moment, there was a wet tearing sound and his entire body pulled away, leaving him in the same purple form he had been in when they had last fought him.
"Shit," Naruto growled. "Sasuke, help as needed."
Sasuke nodded, charging toward Kabuto again and Naruto turned back to his opponents, seeing Zetsu was not only dead, but was hanging from Kiba's hand.
"I never did like him," Kiba growled. "And now that I know I'm fighting you."
Zetsu turned into black smoke and flew into Kiba's nose, mouth, and eyes. Kiba's body turned pitch black and his fingers grew into claws a foot and a half long each. He roared, the sound inhuman and unnatural, then turned and leapt at Sasori, tackling him out of the air as Sasori was being dragged toward Sakura by his cord. All of Sasori's hundred red puppets flew at Kiba but Kiba had absorbed Sasori before they reached him and the puppets each turned into extra power, being absorbed by Kiba as well. And suddenly, it was a feeding frenzy, everyone was turning on each other. Kisame leapt into the air, grabbing Deidara out of the air and absorbing him and his clay bird and the swarm of clay dragons that had been attacking Gaara, Hidan stabbed his collapsible spear into Kakuzu's foot to keep Kakuzu from absorbing him then absorbed him, Kabuto shed his skin and swallowed Orochimaru whole as a snake before reentering his skin and absorbing Orochimaru, and Danzo glared at them all like they were sick, despite the fact that he had basically done the same thing during the last war.
"That's...unfortunate," Naruto sighed. "I'll handle this. Everyone stay back. Except the Uchiha. You three keep Danzo busy. I'll need to focus to deal with him."
"We'll deal with him," Sasuke stated. "You deal with them."
Naruto nodded and drew his Double-Edged Sword, slashing at Kisame and firing a cloud of Wind Swords. Before the jutsu had gotten there, Kisame formed a shadow version of Samehada and held it out, the blade absorbing the jutsus and growing to the biggest Naruto had ever seen the real Samehada. Then, Kisame charged forward, slashing at Naruto. Naruto blocked the blade and shoved it back then spun, using the Body Flicker Technique to get out of the way of Kisame's sword, stopping in front of Hidan and blocking his scythe. Hidan grinned, shoving Naruto back a step before Naruto stepped forward, slashing Hidan across the chest. Hidan snorted in amusement as his wound healed itself and he spun, slashing at Naruto's back. Naruto spun, blocking it then shoved the weapon upward and slashed his Double-Edged Sword, the Wind Swords he fired blasting through Hidan's head. Hidan staggered back a step before his head reformed. He raised his scythe but before he could attack, Kiba tackled him, absorbing him.
"You're incredibly greedy," Kisame noted. "Very well, if you want to fight him, have at it."
Kiba grinned wickedly and leapt at Naruto. Naruto stabbed both swords into the ground and jumped, planting both feet in Kiba's face. Rather than killing him, like Naruto expected, it merely launched Kiba away from himself. Naruto pulled his swords out of the ground again, readying himself as Kiba flipped over and charged at him. Naruto ducked under Kiba's attack, slashing at him with the Double-Edged Sword, using a blast of wind chakra to send Kiba flying skyward. As he stood, he used his Tenseigan's 360 vision to survey the others. Sasuke, Itachi, and Shisui were all fighting Danzo together, keeping him from hitting each other but unable to hurt him either, as it was the last time they fought him. Kisame was watching Kiba and Naruto's fight patiently, as was his nature, and Kabuto was fighting against Minato and Sakura. Kakashi and Obito were still battling, Obito not bothering to try to pass through attacks. Neither was really gaining ground but at the same time, Kakashi seemed to have forgotten who he was fighting because he was trying to talk sense into Obito by reminding him that he had once wanted to be Hokage and that he had been in love with someone named Rin.
"Focus Naruto!" Kiba shouted, slashing at Naruto's head as he neared him.
Naruto leaned back, not having missed Kiba descending, then kicked him away, turning his attention to the other member of the Thirteen.
Jugo crashed into the ground, groaning as Kimimaro fell toward him. Just as Kimimaro drove his drill downward at Jugo's chest, B appeared, fist colliding with the drill's side, cracking it and redirecting it into the ground. Then, he swung his other fist, smashing a hook into Kimimaro's jaw, blasting him skyward again. Then, B stepped aside as Jugo shot after him in a blurred streak, both fists out and with chakra thrusters propelling him. Kimimaro flipped over, meaning to fight back but Jugo's fists collided with his chest and his entire body exploded. B caught Jugo and set him down just as Kimimaro reformed yet again and glared at Jugo.
"I should have killed you back then," Kimimaro growled. "It would have been so much fun."
Jugo snarled in anger then held his arm out, the thrusters starting again but much, much bigger this time.
"It's over Kimimaro," Jugo stated. "I've been watching you. I know your weakness. Rest in peace my friend."
And with that, Jugo shot forward so fast it seemed he had teleported. His fist collided with Kimimaro's abdomen so hard that a massive sonic boom went off and Kimimaro's entire body was instantly blown into ashes from the chakra Jugo had coated his hand with. This time, the ashes settled to the ground and Jugo turned toward the creatures.
"Shall we?" Jugo asked.
"Right behind ya," B nodded.
Naruto raised his Sword of Kusanagi, blocking Kiba's claws before he leapt into the air as Kiba's other hand slashed under him. Naruto spun, swinging his feet down and kicking Kiba away before landing on one foot and watching as Kiba stood again, grinning. Kiba, having mutated further a few minutes after eating Hidan, now stood on all fours, his claws reaching three feet in length, his face becoming flat with two glowing red eyes, and a mouth reaching from one side of his head to the other and with jagged and extremely sharp teeth with the inside of his mouth glowing white. His jaws were powerful enough to easily crush stones, something he had proven the moment he mutated.
"Kiba, I don't care what's wrong with you, go the fuck to Hell or I'll fucking kill you," Naruto snarled.
Kiba growled, sounding more like a demon than anything, and streaked forward. Naruto spun sideways, narrowly avoiding his claws then slashed at Kiba. Kiba avoided the sword and spun, slashing at Naruto again. Naruto blocked it with his Double-Edged Swords and shoved them back then leapt backward as Kisame crashed down between the two, sword first. naruto raised his swords to block a slash but Kisame's sword snapped its scales closed on the blades and ripped them free of his grip, sending them flying through the air. Naruto leapt backward as Kiba slashed at him. He drew his big sword in time to block Kisame's. He shoved the sword away then stepped forward, stabbing at him. His sword was diverted into the ground by Kiba's claws before Kiba's other hand took a swipe at Naruto. Naruto staggered backward then stopped, growling in frustration and extending his two Garian Blades as arm blades.
"Fine," Naruto growled. "We'll do this the hard way."
Kisame charged forward, slashing at Naruto who blocked it then stepped past Kisame, slashing at him. Kisame jumped back, making himself thin before slashing downward at Naruto. Naruto blocked it then spun, allowing Kisame's blade to drop into the ground before Naruto removed his arm, then his legs, then his head. Naruto ducked under Kiba, kicking him into the air and rolling to his big sword, retracting his Garian Blades and picking up the sword. Just as he did, Kabuto leapt at him from behind, slashing at him with the same katana Orochimaru had had earlier. Naruto leapt to the side, knowing better than to try to block it with anything aside from his Sword of Kusanagi. Kabuto spun, blade extending rapidly at Naruto. Before it reached him, Minato kicked the blade aside at the last second, the blade impaling Danzo instead and Sakura slammed both fists into Kabuto's back, blasting him into the ground. Danzo gripped the katana's blade and the sword retracted to him. He took the handle, pulling the sword out of his side and pointing it at Sasuke, who was holding his chokuto in his right hand and his Fire Sword in his left. He, like Itachi and shisui, had chosen not to use his Susanoo because Danzo had repeatedly proven he could cut through the Susanoo with ease. Kiba landed on his hands and feet beside Kisame, who was nearly fully regenerated, and looked down at him then over at Kabuto, who was also regenerating.
"We'll be fit to go in a moment," Kisame stated. "Until then, enjoy Naruto."
"I will," Kiba growled reaching down and gripping Kisame's head.
Kisame shouted in surprise and outrage for a moment before he turned to smoke and Kiba absorbed him. Kabuto finished regenerating in time for Sakura to punch him with all her strength. His entire body exploded into smoke, flying at Danzo who was fending off the three Uchiha with his new sword with on hand while holding the other out toward Kabuto's remains. Just before the smoke reached him, Kiba appeared between them, absorbing Kabuto.
"He was mine," Danzo growled.
"You don't need to be powered up anymore," Kiba stated. "You're still stronger than me and I've absorbed everyone but the guy who think's he's boss."
"Fair enough," Danzo nodded. "Now, go kill the Uzumaki brat."
"Happily," Kiba growled.
Naruto sighed, knowing that, while he was much, much stronger than Kiba and Danzo both, fighting both of them would be, troublesome, as Shikamaru would put it. Kiba charged at Naruto in a blur, slashing at Naruto's left side. Naruto caught the attack then spun, smashing Kiba into the ground and driving his fist downward into Kiba's stomach. Before it hit, Danzo's sword sprouted from Naruto's chest and Naruto blinked in surprise before Danzo retracted the blade, laughing, and Naruto was able to stagger sideways, raising a hand to his wound. He healed it quickly before Kiba was flying at him, claws flailing.
"Naruto!" Hinata's voice shouted.
Naruto spun, catching his Sword of Kusanagi then spun again, blocking several slashes from Kiba before kicking him away. Naruto put his sword away as Hinata appeared beside him, handing him his Double-Edged Sword. He put that away too and sighed.
"I wasn't planning to have to resort to these against Kiba," Naruto sighed. "Thank you for coming to my aid Hinata. Even though I specifically said for you to sit on the sidelines. I'm glad you didn't listen. Anyway, I think it's about time Kiba died. Don't you?"
"Yes," Hinata nodded. "But he's stronger than me, you'll have to be the one to fight him."
"Happily," Naruto nodded.
He held his hand out, one of the spheres shrinking to the size of a marble and hovering over his palm.
"Tell me Kiba, could something this small hurt someone as strong as you?" Naruto asked. "I mean, it's barely even big enough to bother with, right?"
"Probably couldn't even leave a bruise on me now," Kiba snorted.
"You would think," Naruto nodded launching the sphere at Kiba in a blurred streak that formed a line from Naruto's hand to Kiba's forehead and then out the other side in and explosion before anyone could react.
The sphere swung around, returning to Naruto and growing back to its full size and retaking its place as Naruto grinned. After a moment, Kiba regenerated and glared at Naruto.
"Die," Kiba growled, suddenly behind Hinata, slashing at her.
Naruto managed to get between them but was caught off guard by Kiba's speed and didn't have enough time to block the attack, resulting in the claws tearing deep gashes in his abdomen before Kiba tackled him, beginning to tear into him. After several seconds, Obito appeared beside Kiba, placing a hand on his side and teleporting him away. Kakashi appeared beside Naruto, setting his right hand on his shoulder and healing Naruto.
"Thanks," Naruto said standing. "I take it you're one of us now?"
"I've chosen to protect the memory of Rin," Obito stated.
"Good enough," Naruto shrugged returning to his normal form and resting his right hand on Obito's shoulder, sending a pulse of chakra through the Gelel Stone, returning life to Obito and restoring him, not to his adult body, but a child body, complete with a pair of black pants that were kid sized.
He was maybe thirteen. Fourteen at most.
"I'm...I'm a child?" Obito blinked, voice a bit higher than before. "What the hell did you do to me?"
"I...I'm not sure," Naruto blinked. "Usually I only bring people back to life."
"Well that's easier said than done with me," Obito stated. "Kakashi returned me to life. I died with Rin died."
"Maybe that's what the Gelel Stone thought," Naruto mumbled. "Oh well. We'll work on getting that Rin girl back later. Anyway. I think it's time to bring Kiba back."
Naruto returned to his Nine-tails and Tenseigan chakra mode as Obito ejected Kiba from wherever he had trapped him and Kiba landed in a heap, growling in rage. Naruto stepped between Kiba and Hinata protectively and Kiba slowly turned to Naruto, growling a bit louder.
"You think you're safe because you have that asshole on your side again?" Kiba snarled. "Think again."
Kiba leapt at Naruto only to explode into a cloud of smoke and fly toward Danzo, who absorbed it.
"Shit," Naruto breathed just as Danzo was enveloped in a sphere of darkness that hardened into a shell.
It began to crack, white light spilling out of it. Then, it broke off. No one was prepared for what came out.
