Sorry I didn't update for so long. but now I'm back, with the last chapter.

CHAPTER THREE

Bree cried out as Davenport dragged her out of the room. His hand was clamped around Bree's arm a little too tightly.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me that it's an act," Davenport challenged.

Bree stared at him with wide eyes. "I-I-"

"I knew it!" Huffed Davenport. "I should've have ever believed you."

"How did you find out?" Bree wondered.

"There are security cameras everywhere," Davenport explained. "I heard all you conversations with Chase. That's another thing! How could Chase have lied to me! I thought I could trust him."

"Don't punish him," Begged Bree. "It's not his fault. He was trying to help me."

"Well he shouldn't have!" Exclaimed Davenport. "Marcus is dangerous. I can't believe he didn't tell me about this! And I can't believe you thought this was a good idea!"

"He's not that bad!" Bree defended.

"Not that bad?" A mirthless laugh escaped Davenport's lips. "Not that bad!? Bree, he tried to kill us!"

"He was just doing it because of his father," Bree told him.

"That's not an excuse!" Shrieked Davenport.

Bree looked down at her feet, guiltily.

"Bree, I'm just trying to protect you," Davenport told her.

"Well stop!" She yelled. "I don't need your protection! I don't want it! I can take care of myself! Don't you think I would have stopped seeing him if I knew he was dangerous?"

"Well obviously not!" Cried Davenport.

Bree stared at the older man, defiantly. Her eyes were hot, but she refused to cry. She bit her lip, hard.

"I'm going to make sure you don't have any more contact with him!" Hissed Davenport.

Bree just turned on her heel and stormed out of the lab.

On her way back upstairs, she bumped into Chase. Her brother grabbed her shoulders, forcing her to look at him.

"Whoa, hey, you alright?" He asked.

"Make sure not to talk to Davenport any time soon," Bree said.

"Wh-What?" Frowned Chase.

"He overheard us talking on the security cameras!" Exclaimed Bree. "He knows everything and he's trying to keep me away from Marcus!"

At this point, her will broke and tears poured down her face. Chase wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him.

"I'm sorry," He murmured.

Bree sniffled and buried her face in Chase's shoulder.

"I don't understand why he chose now to look at the security cameras," Chase frowned. "He never looks at those things unless he has to."

"Uh-oh…"

The two siblings looked over to find Leo standing there, a look of pure guilt and horror on his face.

"Leo? What did you do?" Asked Chase through gritted teeth.

"Nothing!" Squeaked Leo. "I-I mean, I did something! But I didn't mean to!"

"Leo!" Hissed Chase.

"I lost my phone," Leo explained. "So I told Davenport to look through the security cameras, so he could find it."

"Why would you do that!?" Screeched Bree.

"I didn't-I wasn't trying to-I'm sorry!" Cried Leo.

Another sob emitted from Bree before the girl turned and ran. She bolted up the stairs and locked herself in one of Davenport's many, many rooms.

Chase was going to run after her, but Leo grabbed his arm.

"We should let her be alone for awhile," Leo murmured.

Chase bit his lip. "Fine."

He walked towards the elevator, riding it down to the lab. At first he thought the lab was empty, then he spotted Davenport working on something at his desk.

Chase's blood suddenly started to boil and his hands clenched into fists.

"How could you do that!?" He screamed, making Davenport jump. "Do you have any idea how much you've hurt Bree? She was really in love."

"Yes, well, she needed a taste of reality," Davenport stated.

"Reality?" Chase laughed, humorlessly. "Nothing in our lives seems to fit into 'reality'."

"Look, Chase, Bree's not the only one I'm upset with," Davenport frowned.

Chase stared at Davenport, as if daring the older man to be angry with him.

"I can't believe you went behind my back and lied to me!" Exclaimed Davenport. "I expected you, of all people, to be able to be able to understand that Marcus is dangerous."

"I was only trying to help my sister," Chase defended himself.

"Helping her would have been telling me!" Cried Davenport.

"Just…just don't punish her, okay?" Chase sighed. "It's not her fault. She was-is-in love."

"Oh I have a punishment for both of you," Huffed Davenport.

Chase and Bree stood in the lab, staring at Davenport with glares that could have frightened Voldemort.

Bree's eyes were still slightly red from crying, but no more tears fell from her eyes.

"I'm very upset with both of you," Stated Davenport, gravely.

"We know, get on with it," Chase deadpanned.

"Just tell us our punishment," Huffed Bree.

Davenport glared at them and picked up a small machine from the desk.

"This is a mind eraser," He explained.

"Wait, wait, wait! You're going to erase Marcus's memories!?" Shrieked Bree.

"Not exactly," Frowned Davenport.

Chase's eyes widened.

"No! Wait! You can't do this!" He insisted.

"What?" Bree wondered, still confused. "Chase, what's going on?"

"He's not going to erase Marcus's memories," Hissed Chase. "He's planning on erasing our memories!"

"What!?" Screamed Bree. "No! You can't! Why would you even think about that!"

"I'm sorry," Davenport said, solemnly. "But if I don't do this you'll just go behind my back again."

"Please!" Begged Bree. "Please don't do this."

"I'm sorry," Davenport apologized. "This is for your own good."

He raised the small machine up, pointing it at the two teenagers.

"Please!" Cried Bree, tears spilling from her eyes again.

"Wait!" Cried Chase. "Don't do this!"

He hurried forward to grab the machine from Davenport, but it was no use. A bright light engulfed them and the siblings blinked in confusion.

"Why am I crying?" Bree wondered, innocently.

"How did I get down here?" murmured Chase.

"C'mon you two," Davenport gave them a small smile. "I think you need to lie down."

Meanwhile, Marcus sat in his cell, waiting for his girlfriend who was already ten minutes late.

His head snapped up as the door screeched open. But his hopes dropped when it turned out to just be Leo.

"What're you doing here?" Marcus snarled.

"Hey, I'm not too terribly happy about being here either," Leo raised his hands in mock surrender.

Marcus glared at him. "Then why're you here?"

Leo sighed and let his hands drop. "I have to tell you something."

"Alright," Huffed Marcus.

Leo glanced towards the security camera, anxiously. "Bree doesn't remember you anymore."
