HELLO HOMO SAPIENS! WELCOME TO CHAPTER 12 OF DARK PIT'S STORY. (takes a deep breath after yelling) Schools starting up, and I'm getting 2 hour delays. THANK YOU SNOW! I'm ready for a full out blizzard! That's completely irrelevant about this chapter, but does this look like the font of someone who cares? Oh, yes? Whatever.
DISCLAIMER: I OWN NOTHING! (Except my OC's, of course.)
Ignast cast the power of flight on both Dark Pit and Bellum. He had Bellum stay out of danger, while he pulled Dark Pit with him, toward a mob of centurions. Dark Pit readied his sword, blocking a few arrows as they flew toward him. As soon as he was in reach, he made a wide slash with his sword, hitting a few centurions. Dark Pit quickly dodged a spear thrust, and hit back, killing a centurian.
Ignast was quickly dispatching them with the help of his Phoenix Arm. He had also summoned an Electroshock Arm onto his other arm, so he could easily dish out tons of punishment. Dark Pit stabbed and slashed, dodging the shots and spear thrusts. He was starting to become a force to be feared, killing dozens of centurions without taking a single hit. Some centurions started to flee. Others fought with more ferocity, but they were hardly a match for Dark Pit. They were, after all, nothing compared to the Chaos Kin, or even the underworld army. Within a few minutes, they were dead.
"How are we going to find the ring version of Pit?" Ignast asked.
"The Chaos Kin said there was some kind of connection between him and me," Dark Pit said, "like we were two sides of the same coin."
"So?" Iganst asked. Dark Pit tried closing his eyes and focusing the happy, slave Pit he detested so much. He suddenly saw a large green plain of grass, and then a city… he was in that city! His vision zoomed in on a ring in the road, looking suspiciously like the one Dark Pit was in.
"I see it!" Dark Pit said. "It's just outside the city!"
"Got it!" Ignast said, going max speed toward the edge of the city, pulling Dark Pit with him. Suddenly, Dark Pit noticed glint of blue beneath him.
"STOP US!" Dark Pit yelled, but it was too late. A shot from a Darkness bow flew at them from behind, impaling Dark Pit, and then another hit Ignast. The power of flight cut out, and Dark Pit fell to the ground, while Ignast grabbed Bellum. Dark Pit landed as softly as possible, the fall only causing him to lose balance. He supposed his angelic qualities were effecting this body. In front of him stood an angel. But not any angel. It was Pit.
Dark Pit jumped at him without hesitation. Pit quickly blocked his strike with no feeling in his eyes, and not making any comment. That settled it. Dark Pit knew Pit wouldn't stay silent this long. This was just his body. Dark Pit slashed horizontally, which Pit's Body ducked under, slashing upward and hitting Dark Pit on the chest. Pit's Body took this chance to jump back, shooting at Dark Pit with his Darkness bow. They hit, knocking Dark Pit down.
"This human body is so slow!" Dark Pit growled, rushing Pit's Body, and decided to trade power for speed, trying to just get a hit in. He got his wish, hitting Pit's Body's cheek. Pit's Body had managed to block all his other strikes. Pit's Body showed no implication that it felt the hit. Dark Pit growled, going on the defensive as Pit's Body slashed at him. Dark Pit blocked it, but Pit slashed again, pushing Dark Pit into a wall.
"DARK PIT!" Iganst yelled, flying down, and slammed his electroshock arm into Pit's Body, which fell to the ground. Bellum ran up to Dark Pit, panting.
"Bellum," Dark Pit said. "I need you to hurry and run outside. Follow the path there, and you'll find ring. Put it on, and get away from here as soon as possible!" Bellum nodded, and hurried away. "Ignast, we can't kill Pit's Body, Pit needs to get it back."
"Well then what do we do?" Ignast asked, pummeling Pit's Body.
"Get it to a place where Pit can get it," Dark Pit said. "Maybe an arena?"
"Got it," Ignast said, letting Pit's Body go, and then flew into the air. Pit's Body followed, chasing after him at breakneck speeds. Dark Pit watched, annoyed he couldn't do more. He supposed a human was kind of useless. But he figured he could do at least one thing. He closed his eyes, focusing all his strength into using telepathy.
"Viridi!" Dark Pit struggled to say, hoping it would get through.
"Dark Pit?!" came the reply from the childish sounding goddess. "Where have you been?"
"Stuck in a weird limbo for souls," Dark Pit said, "and as a ring."
"Whatever! Did you kill the Chaos Kin?" Viridi asked.
"Uh, no," Dark Pit said. "That's the reason Palutena's attacking the humans. He's turned both Pit and I into rings. But we can control anyone that has the ring on."
"Of course!" Viridi said. "That's why I couldn't see Pit's soul!"
"Either way," Dark Pit said. "I'm sure he'll get his body back within today. He'll try to contact Palutena. I NEED you to help him."
"The GREAT Dark Pit telling me to save his hated twin?" Viridi said, laughing.
"I don't want him saved," Dark Pit grumbled, "so much as I want the Chaos Kin dead. And I figure I'll need his help."
"Got it," Viridi said. "I'll be sure to keep a telepathic ear out."
"Thanks," Dark Pit said.
"Don't thank me," Viridi answered, "I want the Chaos Kin dead as much as you do. Do you want me to extract you?"
"Please," Dark Pit said, "what you think the answer is?" Dark Pit drew his sword and ran off to defeat more centurions. Anything to get his body back. He quickly dispatched a few more centurion patrols, before Ignat flew back to Dark Pit.
"I've seen Pit," Iganst said. "I watched him take control of Bellum. I've got her with me now." Bellum flew down, Ignast using the power of flight on her.
"She was supposed to get out of here!" Dark Pit said, annoyed.
"I was going to let her," Iganst said, "until I saw who Pit met up with."
"Magnus?" Dark Pit guessed.
"Yep!" Ignast said happily. "Saw I figured once Pit got his body back, we'd bring Bellum back to her father."
"Thanks you two," Bellum said, trying to bow in midair, and flipping over.
"It's weird how you look like a three year old, but you act like an adult," Dark Pit noted.
"Well, I died 28 years ago," Bellum said, "so I aged, but my body didn't."
"Whatever," Iganst said, "that just means you'll be 28 years older then you look!"
"You'll be a child prodigy," Dark Pit said. "Of sorts." Suddenly, Dark Pit felt his vision shift. He quickly grabbed the ring on his finger, and flung it off. The ring morphed away, leaving Dark Pit in his normal body. His old body cheered and ran away, swinging his sword.
"Sweet!" Ignast said, fist pumping.
"That means Magnus is back," Dark Pit said, grabbing Bellum. He
activated the power of flight, happy to be able to chose where he wanted to go. He spotted Magnus in a small arena, watching Pit fly away. He landed next to him.
"Hey!" Magnus said, "you look like Pit. Who are you?"
Dark Pit had forgotten Magnus's memory was erased.
"Doesn't matter," Dark Pit decided, realizing he would rather not go through the matter of explaining. "What does matter, though, is who this is." He presented Bellum.
"That looks like my daughter," Magnus said, trying to keep on his tough guy mask. "But thats not possible. She died during the first war between Skyworld and the Underworld."
"I am your daughter!" Bellum urged. "I was stuck in a place where spirits sometimes go. Alive, but not in my body, stuck in limbo, without being able to die or live."
"She's telling the truth," Dark Pit said. "I was there." Magnus looked at Bellum in shock. Dark Pit knew the simple fact she could talk was enough. The only way that would work, with all the rings of chaos destroyed, was if she had come back to life. Magnus happily picked up Bellum.
"I cannot express how happy I am," Magnus said. "Who are you?" Dark Pit activated the power of flight, preparing to leave.
"A freind," Dark Pit reasoned. "Call me Dark Pit. Now, Viridi, about that extraction?" Dark Pit added, telepathically.
"On it," came the reply. Green surrounded him, and he disappeared.
Thanks for reading! After this there will be a more normal Kid Icarus type "mission" and then we have Chaos Kin battle... and scorched feathers! I decided I would do it after replaying the chapter. It's a lot shorter then I remembered. Don't forget to favorite and review, and PM if you have a question, or you caught a grammatical error, or a mistake with the canon. I'll fix it. And seriously guy's, you have NO idea how much it means to me to get a notification saying someone's reviewed or favorited. It's like getting a Kid Icarus Uprising sequel! (Except I can't put it in my 3ds)
