"I thought you were on the roof," Bella shot at Loki as he rounded the corner looking very haggard and tired.
"I had to answer the Call of the Wild," Loki replied in such a way nobody was sure if he was being sarcastic or not.
It wasn't long after that when Hawkeye locked his beady, little eyes on him and aimed his bow and arrow, ready to shoot. The Warriors Three noticed, but Loki didn't seem to.
"What have you done, Murderer?" he shot at the tired alien.
"Only your job, Chicken-Eye," Loki replied just as icily, "the device seems to be throwing out radiation that is making it impossible for me to teleport into the building, however there's a nice rooftop just across from where I was dropped off. There's a zip line access point to the stairwell at about level 490, or something."
"Good work, Elsa," she narrowed her eyes, "what would make me better is if you could give me an address."
"Better," Loki grinned, and in a few moments, the world around the group melted away around them, replaced by a rooftop adjacent to the tower.
"So this is what it's like to be teleported," Bella mused for a moment before tapping her earpiece, "Thor, rooftop adjacent to the tower, regroup."
Bella took something out of her duffel bag. It was a fearsome looking weapon with the body of a shotgun and the head of a grappling hook, with a canister magazine about the size of a can of bug spray and a reel that looked although it had been taken off a very large fishing rod.
"What is that?" Loki asked her.
"Homemade grappling gun," she answered, kneeling on her haunches on the rooftop, "you wouldn't believe how handy it is."
"Usually I just fly," Thor narrowed his eyes at the pair of them.
"Teleportation for me any day," Loki shook his head.
"Break that glass," Bella ordered Thor, "Fly and take Sif with you. Secure the area once you get in," Thor nodded to her, pulling Sif close to his body and flying off Superman style for the window. The glass was crushed by his tremendous weight, and Sif and Thor immediately secured the area beyond the window of Stark tower on level 494. Bella shot off the weapon and the grappling head spiraled through the air and lodged into a concrete beam. She pulled it taught and wrapped the rope around an air conditioning unit on the roof.
"As for the rest of us," she handed off some devices that looked a little of coat hangers, "slide down the rope."
"Are you sure it will hold?" Fandral twanged it with a finger.
"Does a bear shit in the woods?" she countered.
"Bear?"
Bella and Loki exchanged glances and spoke in unison, "idiot."
"We've got some bad guys to kill."
