She hated open plan buildings. There was no defensible space therefore it would be so easy to overpower them in this small area even though the enemy may have been fewer. The schematics beeped and she checked her Palm Pilot. Yes, she still used a Palm Pilot, it was too old to be noticed by the bad guys.

"Thor, Hugun, watch out six," she pointed behind her with a swift motion of her hand, and the boys immediately followed her hand and covered the rear, "make sure we're not gonna get any unpleasant surprises."

"But what we really have to worry about is the Avengers," Hawkeye told them, "They seem to be being controlled by the head big bad. How are we going to deal with them?" Hawkeye narrowed his eyes.

"Avoid," Loki said simply.

It wasn't long before the gunfire began.

"It'll be great fun, I said. It won't be hard, I said. What the Hel was I thinking?" Loki scorned himself as he pulled the sword from the dead Jotun's body. With a sickly snap, he pried it loose.

"These people stink on the inside," Fandral covered his nose as he fought, and then he glanced at Loki, "sorry, let me correct myself. You stink on the outside too."

"Ha," he wheezed, "I hope I never see any of you again, with particular reference to you, Fandral."

"Thank you," he beamed, "that makes me feel special."

Bella kept shooting, "Thor, dudes! Hold the stairwell!" she ordered, kicking the door open and forcing her way in. Of course, there was a whole contingent in the stairwell.

"Is it too late to take the lift?"

"Enough of your bullshit, Loki."

"Of course!" Thor tossed his hammer at the hordes following them.

They were on level 499, next there was floor 500, then the roof. They were nearly there. Corpses fell left and right as Bella forced her way up the stairs. Thor and Sif held the line at 499, the rest of the warriors were one level down.

Level 500. They reached the bar, which was crawling with big blue dudes. There was another stairwell in the corner, hidden away behind the bar and a wood-grained feature wall. She continued to fire, cutting a swathe through the Jotuns.

"Get your ass up to that roof!" Bella ordered.

"What about you?"

"What about me?" She pushed him behind her and shoved him towards the stairwell, "you're the only one that can beat Utgarda."

He ran over to the stairwell under Bella's covering fire. He looked back at her, and their eyes met for a moment.

"Look after my baby girl," she said almost pathetically. He nodded to her solemnly before disappearing from her view.

She narrowed her eyes as the Jotuns came at her and she drew her two backup desert eagle pistols. The corner of her lips turned up in a crooked smile, "wanna dance, boys?" she sneered, "I'll dance with you."
